So, now that the bad guys have been taken down, the family are now safe, and this chapter will wrap up any loose plot threads.

Chapter Six
After Bobby, Susan, Harriet and Eliot were taken away in ambulances and Mark's body was taken away in a body bag, Sergeant Burke took statements from Karen, Brian, Scott, Rose and Amy.
"It's fortunate that none of you were killed," scolded Burke sternly, "These sorts of situations are very dangerous!"
"Burke is right," agreed Amy, giving everyone except Emma a stern look, "Thankfully you're all safe; that's what counts."
"You and Ms Hedden also put yourselves in harms way!" pointed out Burke sternly, "I know that family was involved, but don't try anything like that in any future situation!"
"We won't." said Amy and Emma in unison.
Amy suddenly chuckled to herself: that sort of reminded her of when she'd been a schoolgirl; she'd caused a bit of trouble back in her day.
Karen, Brian, Scott and Rose were taken up to the hospital; Amy and Emma following just behind.
A short while later, Amy was once again sitting beside her husband's bed, along with Karen, Brian, Rose and Scott, who had been bandaged and stitched up. Karen and David were currently sharing a hug.
"Oh, I'm so glad you're okay!" cried a relieved David as he and Karen parted from the hug.
"I'll be fine, Dad," assured Karen, "I hope you'll be fine for Rose and Scott's wedding."
"Ohhh, takes a lot more than a heart attack to keep me down," said the elderly man confidently, "So … what's happened to Bobby and his friends?"
"Bobby suffered a heart attack, but he'll be fine," explained Karen, "Mark is dead. Bobby and the others are looking at serious charges."
"Poor Bobby," lamented David before noticing the bewildered looks on the others faces, "Look, the stuff he did was awful, but he clearly has a lot of issues."
"Your granddad is right," said Amy to Rose as she began to open her mouth, "His father was horribly abusive to his whole family and it seems he took on his father's temper. I hope he gets the help he needs.
Everybody else nodded in understanding.
Bobby groaned as he slowly came to. The elderly man's eyes fluttered open and he found himself looking up at the celling in a hospital room, he then turned and saw Emma sitting next to him.
"Oh thank God you're alright!" cried Emma in relief as she hugged her older brother.
"What happened?" asked a confused Bobby.
"You had a heart attack," explained the blonde, "Mark is dead. You and the others are facing some serious charges."
"Help me," begged Bobby, "Please, Emma, I'll be good to you, I swears it."
"No," replied Emma sadly, "not this time, Bobby. You and the others must face up to your actions and you must get help. You've become just like Dad and I can't be around that; not anymore."
After wiping a few tears away, Emma got to her feet and exited the room.
Five days later, both David and Bobby were discharged from the hospital. During David's stay in the hospital, the others successfully found an alternate location for the wedding: the Wakely Arms.
The day of the wedding was clear and sunny. Everybody was dressed smartly. Due to lack of chairs and sitting down. Louise and Scott were standing just a few feet away from the front of the crowd. Everybody watched as Rose and Brian entered the pub and walked down the aisle.
"This is the weirdest wedding I've ever been to in my life." snarked David under his breath.
"Shhh!" hissed Amy before playfully slapping her husband's arm.
Rose went up to Scott and the two held each other's hands; both smiling at one another.
"Ladies and gentlemen," began Louise, "we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Scott Cunningham and Rose Cooper. This place has been duly sanctioned for the celebration of marriage. If there are any objections to this union; speak now or forever hold your peace."
After a few moments nobody answered.
"Now, I believe you have both prepared vows for each other." said Louise.
"Yes," replied Rose before turning to face Scott, tears of joy swimming in her eyes, "I promise to love you in sickness and in health, for better or for worse."
"And I promise to love you also in sickness and in health," stated Scott before clearing his throat, "Sorry, I probably should've written this down."
"No, no, it's fine." chuckled Rose.
After the I do's and the exchanging of rings, the couple were now wearing their wedding rings.
"May these rings be a reminder of the words spoken here today," stated Louise, "Today is the start of a new beginning: may you have many happy years to come and may all your hopes and dreams be fulfilled. By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Everyone cheered as Rose and Scott shared a passionate kiss.
"Well, I guess things did eventually turn out okay with coming back here." remarked David happily.
The elderly man then shared a hug and kiss with his wife while chuckling along with her.
(AN) And that is a wrap on Revenge; hope you all enjoyed.
My next Straw Dogs fic will be known as Breaking Point and will be my first attempt at a fix-it fic. This story will see David learning about Charlie and Scutt's assault on Amy well before the social event, as well as some other changes during the third act.
Until then, this is TimeLordMaster108 signing out.
