Theory#2: Asimov's escape is why Sumeragi took down their website.
It is mentioned that Sumeragi had a website that was taken down due to unknown reasons. It can be theorized that the website was shut down to prevent Asimov's escape from being made public. As Sumeragi has been known to cover up any "accidents".
Once the top brass were informed of Takefutsu's escape, panic began to ensue in the top chain of command.
"We'll have to double security at the border and strengthen the Kamishiro generators." The first delegate mentioned.
"The first thing we need to do is make sure the public doesn't know. This way, it will give us more time to deal with the matter." The second delegate advised.
It was agreed that this was the most ideal answer to their problem. One of the first things they did was inform the public. An in person speech was made by one of the scientists from the Stratacombs, another Septima research facility that was recently built.
"I would like to take this time to thank all of you for coming. It is with the utmost sorrow that I must announce a devastating matter. This has affected not just Sumeragi, but Japan as a whole. Our Futures Institute of Technology has recently suffered its destruction.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown and is currently being studied. During this time, we ask prayers be said for the staff that have left this world for the spirit realm and the loved ones they left behind. We will also be removing our website as it operated from servers within the facility. The links and all forms of it will be removed online as they are currently inaccessible.
From this point forward, Sumeragi will be implimenting stricter workplace safety guidlines. To everyone here today, let this be a reminder. That with great success, comes great failure. But, with it comes opportunity, a chance to rise from the ashes.
We aim to be a shining beacon of hope for the public. Thank you all for attending and we hope you will all stay safe as this matter is dealt with." The speaker lectured.
Applause and whistles echoed from the crowd which soon dispersed.
"Hey GV, did Sumeragi ever have a website?" Kirin queried.
"Yeah, how do you know about it?" Gunvolt questioned.
"I was looking through some of their old archives and there was mention of a website by the name of WWW dot Sumeragi dot com. But when I looked it up, the website showed up. It said the website was taken down in the archives. I tried to ask Corvette about it but he won't budge.
If anything, he tried to convince me it wasn't important. But I know it is. So I went looking through it and found some information on Project Gunvolt. Here, I loaded it so you could see it." Kirin responded as she swiveled the monitor screen so Gunvolt could see it from where he was resting.
On the screen was an open file labeled "Project: Gunvolt". Below is the information on the file.

Test Subject #53 has shown promising results during the matching phase of the project. The original Azure Striker was said to have the capability to wield lightning in the atmosphere. It has been theorized that Takefutsu may be capable of the same thing. In the near future, Adepts will destroy humanity.
That is all we can be certain of. With Septimal powers and Adept birth rates on the rise, this power will control us before we can control it. Humans may become driven to separate themselves from the "Septimally gifted". These people treat their powers as a way to obtain fear and respect from others.
Some Adepts have been reported to fight using these powers and commit crimes. Tomorrow the experiment will begin and then the results will be confirmed true or false.

Takefutsu's Septimosome transplant was a success and it has taken well. The adjustments may take some time. Truth be told, it's just a matter of time before this monster bares his fangs at us too. All Adepts do, whether they're part of Sumeragi or not.
The subject has been seen muttering to himself on occasion while in isolation. It has been assumed that this is one of the many ways people cope. In truth, it's just another sad example of how Adepts try to blend in. It's useless, as is their hope for freedom.
Sumeragi plans to have all Adepts on chains. Metaphorical or literal is anyone's guess. Their powers are too strong and far too chaotic for them to be allowed free roam. An idea was recently shared about making a shelter for Adepts.
It was the worst idea I've heard in all my years working here. Adepts must be separated from each other. If not, they will conspire against each other and eventually Sumeragi itself. The higher ups refuse to see the danger in this.
But, it's probably since they don't understand the process. All they see is the possibility of a greater financial endgoal. They don't know how many people have died during these experiments. Both on the sides of the researchers and test subjects.
It seems like there's no end in site to this project. Or the miserableness caused by it. No matter how many times these projects are tested, they'll always fail. In the face of adversity, Sumeragi continues to be stubborn.
Nobody wants to realize the truth. That of which is hidden from the public and pushed to the back of everyone's minds. The real question isn't what Sumeragi can do with Adepts. But rather, what can Sumeragi do to prevent them.
We're studying the wrong thing. The proper type of testing would involve genetic testing, frequencing, geneology and gene therapy. If people would just listen to reason, then none of this would have happened. However, since my resignation isn't allowed, this cycle of despair will continue.
And these fiends will continue to exist, even after I'm gone. As will the threat they pose.
"So that's where the quote Copen said came from." Gunvolt realized.
"Maybe he knew something we didn't. He could have predicted the Primal Dragons. I wonder what happened to him." Kirin muttered.
"There's no way of finding out. Not unless we ask somebody who knew. And I don't know what happened to Copen. So, I guess it'll just forever be a mystery." Gunvolt supposed.
