AN: So with the new DLC for Samurai/Remnant, I have an idea for something to change up the Prisoner of Azkaban part of this Story,
Ch 82 Dream of Snowflakes
Later in the Day, Sirius and Remus woke up from their…feinting. Probably because Ritsuka came in looking for Sanson only to see both his Father and Uncle sleeping, both unconscious.
Ritsuka knows that they weren't in a coma due to the fact his Father was snoring. As such, he proceeded to wake the two Wizards by flicking their foreheads. The results were this,
Sirius moans, rubbing his red forehead on where his Son flicked him. "Do you really have to do that, Ritsuka? I'm still your Father, at least show a bit of respect." The Wizard groans, never knowing how strong his Son is.
The Three Men sat in the Mess Hall, having some time to spare. Like always, the Mess Hall was filled with many Chaldean Mages and Servants were presented.
Mashu was doing some last-minute checks for the arrival of Lorelei and a few Mages. As for Harry, he's still with Scathach-Skadi learning about Runes, and Sion is doing her own thing as an Alchemist and member of the Atlas Institute.
Ritsuka chuckles, looking at both Uncle and Father. "Sorry, I thought it would just be a sting on the Head." The Magus said, still retaining his Childishness even though he was in his Twenties.
"Well, based on that flick, you're stronger than you let yourself be," Remus commented, chowing down a rather large portion of Meat on his plate. "Me being a Werewolf can tell when others are stronger than myself. You, Ritsuka, are somewhat at the same level as me."
"Well, that's because there are some Lycanthropes in the Mage World. Especially Mages who can use a type of Magecraft called Beast Magecraft." Ritsuka explains to his Uncle. "Those Mages built their Magecraft based on Animals and other Demonic Beasts."
Remus swallowed a large chunk of Meat before speaking. "What about that Magus we met in Russia? My Instincts were telling me he's a dangerous one." The Werewolf said,
"You mean, Kadoc? He uses Anti-Beast Magecraft as the Name suggests, it's Magecraft that counters Demonic Beast." The Magus explains to his Uncle. "If I go any further, then I'm sure he'll kill me for revealing his Family's Craft to you." Ritsuka laughs, knowing his closest Friend would do such a thing.
Sirius sighed, not liking when Ritsuka was talking like that. "Okay, I get it, you Mages are secretive in what you do. But can you tone it down and please don't causally say something that grim?" The Son of the Black Family asked,
Ritsuka shrugs, not keeping any promises. "Sorry Otou-san, I can't keep a simple request like that." He said nonchalantly.
"Well, can't blame me for trying," Sirius commented, taking it in stride.
"Now, I have a question for you, Uncle Remus." Ritsuka turns his Head to his Uncle still chowing down on Meat. "Why are you eating such a large quantity of Meat?" He asked the Werewolf.
Remus blushed; a bit ashamed to tell his Nephew about this. "Well…I'm sure you know that I'm a Werewolf and…" The Werewolf cleared his throat, motioning to himself,
Ritsuka's eyes widen, realizing what Remus means. "I see, I nearly forgot, it's going to be a Full Moon in Three Days." The Magus said, knowing this entails that his Uncle will transform into his World form.
"Yes, as you can see…the side effects are occurring." Remus looks down at the plate of Meat before him.
"I see, well, I can set up a room for you when the time comes for you to transform." Ritsuka offered, knowing the tales and encountering some Werewolves before.
Remus smiled, appreciating his Nephew's consideration and assistance in this trivial matter. "Thank you for helping me in this matter, Ritsuka." He said, truly thankful for what he was doing.
Sirius smiled, and couldn't help but see Akari within Ritsuka. 'Ritsuka is much like Akari, he is kindhearted Nature and always thinks of others on what they need.' He mentally said to himself, he couldn't help but be proud of him.
Then another thought crossed his mind, causing the Wizard to slam his hands on the table.
After the Lesson with Scathach-Skadi, Harry and Fou left the Classroom. He successfully exceeded the Lostbelt Queen's expectations by learning how to use a Fire Rune to warm the Cold room,
It's been a moment since he'd used his Wand; he used the Wand to practice the Runes
Scathach-Skadi was pleased with how Harry was able to quickly pick up. She tried her best to remain professional as a Teacher would, but the Lostbelt Queen couldn't help but reward him with Head pats.
Harry, obviously was a bit flustered by the gesture from the Caster. Nonetheless, accepted the Head pat,
Illya, Miyu, and Sitonai were requested by Sion to gather some Materials within the Simulator. Harry wanted to accompany them; however, they said that this Material Gathering Mission was advanced for his Level.
Harry was a bit disappointed that he couldn't accompany them, but he understood. He went to find his Father and Mother since Scathach-Skadi informed him that Sion was preoccupied for the time being.
With that being said, Harry went to find his Parents after he finished with his Lessons for the Day. "I have to say, Fou, Skadi's Lesson on Runes was fun and interesting." He smiled, talking to the Beast on his shoulders.
"Fou, Fou," Fou agrees with the young Heir as they continue to walk in the Halls of the Wandering Sea.
Harry smiled, scratching Fou's cheek. "Thanks, Fou, I always appreciate your input." He may not know what the Beast is saying to him, however, he does know by the tone he is speaking in. "I can't wait until I learn more Runes from Skadi,"
The young Boy looks at his Wand and has a new Rune to add to his collection. "Fou!" Harry heard the Beast happy to hear Harry was excited to learn.
"Excited to learn I see…" Harry paused, seeing a white-haired Girl with seafoam green eyes. She wore a seafoam green Hatori with a snowy pattern, a black Kimono, long white pants, and sandal heels. In her belt were two Blades, similar to Iori,
The Servant steps forward with a stern expression written on her face. Harry flinched, seeing her expression. "Oh…sorry, I didn't see you there…um…"
The white-haired Servant shut her eyes, answering the young Boy. "I am Yui Shousetsu, a Caster Class Servant." Yui Shousetsu introduced herself to Harry, "You may think I am a Saber, however, I can assure you I am a Caster Class Servant. Call me, Yui."
"Oh, um nice to meet you, Yui." Harry ponders, feeling like he has heard that Name before. "Yui Shousetsu…aren't you of the Three Great Ronin who founded Choukou Hall in Kanda during the Edo Period and one of the Ringleaders during the Keian Uprising against the Tokugawa Shogunate?"
Yui raised her brow, surprised that Harry knew about her History. "Impressive, you already know my History, Harry-dono." The Caster spoke, "Did your instructors teach you that?"
Harry shook his Head, answering the Samurai. "No, Dad told me about you and some other Japanese Heroes when we were visiting the Japanese Branch." The young Heir of Chaldea said to the white-haired Servant.
"Well, your Father is very passionate about teaching others about History," Yui said, observing the black-haired Boy, unaware that she was making him nervous. "Considering you know what we do, tell me, Harry-dono, what is your deepest wish you want to come true?" She asked, her eyes staring at him, almost like the Caster was judging him based on his answer.
Harry gulps, feeling the weight of Yui's question. "What I wish? I-I…um…" The young Boy blinks, unsure how to answer. 'What I wish for? What exactly do I want to come true? I mean the one thing I wanted was a Family and Friends, but other than that…I got nothing else I want.'
"I'm not sure-"
"Shousetsu," The two turn around, hearing a voice coming from the other end of the Hallway. Walking down the Hall was a young Man wearing a long-sleeved jacket, dark pants, and black shoes, around his neck was a white collar, "You're making Fujimaru's Son nervous." He smiled at the two.
"Fou, Fou," The Beast smiled, seeing the Living Servant coming behind them.
Harry was surprised to see a normal-dressed Person (Other than his Uncles) to be present in Chaldea.
Yui inclined her Head at the few Unique Servants, greeting him as usual. "Greetings, Soujuurou-dono," The Homunculus greeted the Berserker. "I'm merely judging the young master's Character for myself."
Harry stood on the side with Fou, watching the two Servants speak. Soujuurou Shizuki merely smiled, replying to the Caster's question. "I see, from where I was standing it seemed that you were almost threatening Harry,"
"I may be on the Anti-Succession Faction side, however, it doesn't mean that I fully agree with their motives." Yui Shousetsu said, explaining her side of this inner conflict. "As an Instructor during my Lifetime, it's only right that I study a potential Warrior."
Yui looks at Harry, still not making any expressions other than the stern one. "Ride-Avenger has spoken about your trials in Seraphix. For someone who's lacking in training, I must say your Skills are…average in terms of master."
Soujuurou chuckles, interjecting his opinion in the conversation. "But he does have the potential to be on the same level as Fujimaru, am I wrong there, Yui?" The Berserker asked, putting a little rationalization into the comment. An odd sentiment for a Berserker Class Servant,
"No, you are not there, Soujuurou-dono." The white-haired Caster said, not denying that Harry can Learn how to be a master with proper training. Yui looks at Harry, bowing her Head. "Please forgive my early actions, Harry-dono. However, my evaluation remains the same, regardless I see an opportunity here for you to become a proper master."
"Like what, Ms. Shousetsu?" Harry asked, curious about what he needed to do.
"Fou,"
The Caster shook her Head, "That's unclear, every master is different. However, they all have a sense of…how should I put it…" Yui ponders, looking for the right words.
The dark-haired Berserker smiled, "Charisma? I believe that's the words you are looking for." Soujuurou answered,
Yui nodded, accepting the Word that Soujuurou suggested. "Indeed, Charisma." The Caster turns to Harry,
"But I think I got the Charisma down…" Harry said, remembering how he managed to bring Servants to his side in the places he'd visited.
"I have no doubt, but if I have to place your Charisma Level, it has to be a C," Yui said, evaluating Harry's Personal Skills from the information she requires. "No doubt you have it, just a low Level. Your Father is quite above, around EX level." The Samurai said,
Harry seems to understand what Yui is teaching him. "But how do I raise it to be similar to my Dad's?" The young Boy asked the Samurai,
Yui Shousetsu gave Harry the same stern expression as always. "By working hard and training until you reach the level of confidence." The Caster said, giving the young Heir something to work on while he's Learning here. "I trust that you can do that much, right?"
"Yeah, I think I can do- no, I will do it, Ms. Shousetsu." Harry quickly corrected himself, seeing this was exactly what the Caster was looking for within him.
"Very good," Yui said, seeing that Harry had learned something from their encounter. "In any case, I wish you luck in your Studies, Harry-dono." The Caster said, walking away from the Hall, leaving Harry with Soujuurou and Fou.
Soujuurou sighs, scratching the back of his neck. "Well, that was something unexpected. Yui to be forthcoming with you." The Berserker explains to the young Boy.
"Fou, Fou," Fou agrees with the Living Servant, not sure why Yui came up to them.
Harry smiled at the dark-haired Man, understanding why Yui did so. "I think it's because Yui Shousetsu was a Samurai and an Instructor. She probably wanted to make sure that I was sure in my decision to follow my Dad's footsteps." He said, thinking that was the case with her.
"I see…that's a good outlook there, Harry," Soujuurou said, seeing the Boy was a lot like his master in most ways. He then shook his Head, realizing he didn't introduce himself. "Seems like I was too carried away with the conversation that I completely forgot to introduce myself."
Soujuurou cleared his throat, extending his hand to Harry. "My Name is Shousetsu Shizuki, a Berserker." The Living Servant smiled at the young Heir.
Harry blinks, trying to remember if he knows a Soujuurou Shizuki in History. "Soujuurou Shizuki…I don't think I know anyone by that Name in History before." The young History Fanatic said,
"I'm not surprised, I'm far too Modern to be even in History." Soujuurou chuckles lightly, understanding the confusion. "I'm what you call a Living Servant, like the Name suggests I'm a Living Person who is a Servant. There's quite a few of my type around Chaldea, most are Mages who make up the Chaldean Mages but that's just a small few."
The young Boy was surprised that a Living Person was a Servant. If someone dies and gets Summoned as one, it'll make sense but this was a Living Servant. "Chaldean Mages? So you're not a Magus, Soujuurou?"
Soujuurou merely smiled, answering the young Boy. "No, I'm just an ordinary Man who became a Servant. You can say I'm technically involved with the World of Magecraft due to my living conditions in the Past." The Berserker explains before chuckling. "Actually, my living conditions haven't changed one bit. I live with two of my Friends in Chaldea City on Tepu Ter in the same House we used to live in."
"Tepu Ter-"
Suddenly a small Bluebird flew around them, tweeting loudly for all to hear. "WHA! Why is there a Bird here-"
"Wotcha, so you're the Heir to the Fujimaru Family!" The Bluebird spoke, causing Harry to jump in surprise, "Oh wow, I can sense you're a Witch-no, you're a Wizard. Ugh, I can tell you're not the same type of Witch/Wizard as Miss Alice."
"D-Did that Bird just speak!?" Harry exclaims, having never seen a Bird that could speak before. The occasional Parrot, yes, but a Bird that could speak Human Language,
"Hmm? What's so surprising about a talking Bird?" The Bluebird spoke to the young master. "You're a Mage and have seen many things before coming to the Wandering Sea!"
Fou watches as the Familiar flies around them, chirping out words. "Fou, Fou." The Beast spoke.
Soujuurou smiled, seeing the Familiar flying about. "Well, Robin is very interested in you, Harry." The Berserker said, watching the Bluebird.
"Robin? That's the Bluebird's Name?" Harry asked, watching it fly around him. Fou was also curious about why the Familiar was here.
"Fou, Fou!"
"Wow, you already made a contract with a Beast-hmm? No, oh my bad, it's rare for Fou here to accept someone other than Fujimaru and Miss Mashu." Robin exclaims, still chirping away while Fou barks back. "Still, that's impressive!"
While flying and chirping, Robin flew faster, before he knew it. The Bluebird Familiar flew so fast that he hit the Wall, causing Robin to fall to the ground. "W-What jus-DID HE JUST DIED!?" Harry went up to Robin, checking up on him before seeing he was Dead.
"Fou…" The Beast sighed, seeing the Ploy Familiar was a bit too excited even to notice he flew into a Wall.
Harry picked up the 'Dead' Bluebird, unsure what to do with him. He looks up at the dark-haired Servant for help. "S-Soujuurou, what should we do? Robin is someone's Familiar and he just died out of nowhere." He asked the Berserker.
Soujuurou knelt down to the young master, placing his hand over his shoulders. "Don't worry, Harry, Robin is more durable than you think." The Living Servant explains, his eyes look at the Ploy made by a certain Witch. "At any moment, he'll be back right up to fly."
"Huh?"
Just like the Living Servant said, Robin twitches before perching on top of Harry's hand. "Hey now, what is this? Why are you looking at me like that?" Robin asked the young Heir.
Harry's face was relieved, the fear of telling someone that their Familiar died right on the spot was worrisome for him. "See? He's too stubborn to Die-GAK!" Soujuurou exclaims, feeling Robin smack his Head
"Shut up, I don't need that from you, Lad," Robin said, starting to flap his wings.
"Hey, aren't you being a bit too quick to even fly now!?" Harry asked the Ploy Familiar,
Robin looks down at Harry, answering his question. "I'm perfectly fine, Lad. I'm just here to scout out you for Angel Mum, anyways I'll be leaving now!" The Familiar zip around before disappearing into the Halls.
Harry and Soujuurou stood up, watching Robin disappear. "That was strange, he was here for one second and gone the next," Harry commented.
"Fou, Fou," Fou agrees with what Harry said,
Soujuurou has his hand on his chin, remembering what Robin said. "Alice must've sent Robin to evaluate you, Harry. Understandable considering she's a Witch." He said to himself,
Harry nodded, overhearing the Living Servant's voice. "So there's some Witches here too, Soujuurou?" The young Boy said to him,
"Yes, but you don't need to worry about that. Leave that to the Adults," Soujuurou said, catching something or someone from the corner of his eye. He looks at Harry, "Harry, I have to check on something, I'll see you around."
Harry nodded, happy to meet the Living Servant. "It's nice to meet you, Soujuurou." He said, watching the Berserker walk to the other side of the Hallway. He looks at Fou, "Come on Fou, I'm pretty sure that I'm done for the Day. Let's find Jack and the others, they say they're having a small Party for me in completing my First Day in School."
"Fou, Fou!" The Beast exclaims, excited to attend the Party made by the Children Servants.
"I can tell, you're excited, Fou," Harry said to the Beast, seeing how excited he was about the Party.
At the other end of the Hallway, Soujuurou Shizuki walked down the Hall following the Person who was spying on him and Harry. The dark-haired Berserker had a feeling who was spying on them, mainly due to Robin appearing to check out Harry,
Regardless, the Berserker managed to find the Person, or rather the Servant who was spying on them. Soujuurou smiled, seeing a black-haired Woman wearing black Winter gear, "Alice, I figured it was you who sent Robin to evaluate Harry."
Alice Kuonji, another Living Servant was connected to the Botany Department of the Clocktower. Now, along with Aoko Aozaki, they're considered to be Chaldean Mages.
"Nothing gets by you, Shizuki," Alice said, standing in front of the Berserker while Robin flew around them. "Yes, I was evaluating the Boy. His Magical Energy is nothing compared to what Fujimaru and the other Mages in Chaldea nor the Clocktower." She said,
"In fact, in normal circumstances, he's not qualified to be an Heir Candidate to Chaldea," Alice said, speaking of his Abilities from her point of view to her fellow Living Servant.
Soujuurou smiled, crossing his arms at what Alice said. "I sense a but in that sentence, Alice." He commented.
Alice frowns, turning away from the Berserker. "Fine, it's his Magic Core. With everything he'd experienced, I believe it's adapting to become Magic Circuits." It's no secret that Wizards possess Magic Circuits, but a small amount.
The difference between Mages and Witches to Wizards, they have Magic Circuits to perform Magecraft and Black Magic. While Wizards have a Magic Core, with small amounts of Magic Circuits but require a Wand to perform Magic.
However, there's a chance that Wizards can be Born with Magic Circuits and a Magic Core. That depends on the Person on how they are raised and Born.
In the Squibs' case, the Magic Core is present but the Magic Circuits are dominant such as Ritsuka. Lucius and the other Spies use a complex Illusion Spell to fake their Magic.
In Harry's case, he's different. His Magic Core is still active with his Circuits in development. A rare occurrence but never not heard of.
"I need to observe him more, maybe speaking to Aoko about this interesting topic," Alice said, finding it interesting to study.
"I'm happy you aren't going to oppose Harry's succession as Heir to-"
Alice looks at Soujuurou, refuting his statement before he finishes it. "I didn't say I'll support him, I'm just being cautious on how this will proceed." The Witch said, walking away from her fellow Living Servant.
Robin quickly follows his master, "Wait for me, Miss Alice!"
Soujuurou sighs, seeing Alice acting like that to hide her own feelings about Harry. He chuckles before going on his merry way,
Later that Night, after a tiresome Party hosted by the Children Servants (Plus supervision from Marie and Scathach-Skadi). Harry went to Bed, and his Parents as usual said Good Night before leaving him to rest.
Sleeping peacefully, Harry began to stir in his Bed. His face was sweating, Dreaming once again about the Past.
"M-Mashu!" Harry heard Ritsuka's voice shouting for his Mother. The young Boy shifts in his Bed, hearing some kind of noise. The noise of a powerful Attack, (Insert Shikisai -Snowflake Shield-)
Opening his eyes, Harry could feel the Heat emitting before him. He could hear his Mother screaming as she tried to hold something back. "Senpai…"
Harry as his Father looks forward, sees Mashu standing before him. She held her Shield, trying her best to block whatever was coming at them.
"I'm glad. This should open an opportunity for you, master." Mashu spoke to him/his Father. Her head turns around, smiling brightly towards him. "Thank you for everything,"
Mashu smiled, "I wanted to pay you back everything you gave me." Harry didn't know why, but he felt tears pouring down his Father/his face as she spoke. "That's why I was able to put my own weakness aside and push ahead Senpai."
"And now, finally, I really feel like my Life had value." The Demi-Servant said, causing Harry/Ritsuka to hold out his hand towards her. "Like Captain Drake said, at the very end. I realize my Wish." She said as Ritsuka/Harry tried to reach her.
"But I regret one thing." Mashu looks down with a sad expression. She then looks up, smiling brightly as ever. "I was always the one that was protected…so at least once, I wanted to be useful to Senpai." She said,
Ritsuka/Harry tried their best to reach her, however, the force she was blocking pushed them back. "M-MASHU!"
With a bright light and a loud explosion, Ritsuka/Harry shut his eyes before opening them again.
Amidst the smoke and dust, he could only see the Crossed Shield planted on the ground. He could tell that Mashu had disappeared at that very moment, not how Servants disappeared. No, she truly had Died right there…before him, "Ha…rry…Ha…ry…"
"HARRY!" With a slash a blinding light caused him to wake. He didn't know what it was, but the young Boy could briefly see a young Man with blonde hair wearing a white shirt and grey pants.
"Well, that was something…who in the right mind would show his Mother dying to a Kid?" A cheery voice said before addressing Harry. "Oh, you're still here. Sorry Kid, I'll have whatever it is affecting your mind out." He smiled, waving his hand to him. In his hand was a familiar Knife.
Harry shot up, hearing his Mother's voice called out to him. "Harry-kun, are you alright?" The young Boy looked at his Mother, well Alive, and was sitting right beside him.
Mashu has a concerned expression written on her face. "Harry-kun?" She asked her Son before having him come to her. "Did you have a Nightmare?"
Harry hugged his Mother tightly, after seeing what happened to her in his Dream. He looks up, nodding to her question. "I-I Dreamed that you Died in a Beam of Light and…only your Shield was left…" He said, explaining what his Dream was to her.
Mashu smiled softly, hugging her Son softly. She could feel and hear him crying, soothing him assuming he just had a nightmare. "Ssshhh, it's alright, Harry-kun. I'm right here." She said, calming her Son down.
Harry held his Mother, feeling the comfort of her touch as he slowly drifted off to sleep under her careful watch.
