June 14: Being part of a family is like living with an army, you have all different temperaments, attitudes, but one singular purpose and that is to have each other's back no matter what
Not quite the prompt...I was having trouble with this one. A lot of trouble. But I finaly go it written. hope you enjoy!
Jo sat next to Jewel, putting an arm around his wife of four years, as he gazed down at his newborn son. His three other children were spread across the field, the two-year-old twins, Emreld and Ruby, chasing Liam, Kiah's almost three-year-old son, while Dan, Jo and Jewel's oldest, at three years old,sat in the shade, playing with his youngest cousin Jalan. With a contented sigh, Jo leaned his head back against the tree, turning it to look at Jewel.
"It's good that we have the opportunity to help Kiah and Lilian. After what happened last month, they needed a brake."
Jewel's voice was soft as she rocked their sleeping son, Hezikiah. "Yes. Truly, it is the least we can do after all that they do to help us with the children."
With a sudden shrill shreak, Emreld and Ruby tumbled down, bowling Liam over. They rolled to a stop, and the air was filled with the laughter of children. With a grin, Dan held Jalan's hand as the two of them made their way to the pile of rabbits sprawled out on the grass. Jalan tripped, plopping to the ground, and Jo could see a surprised look on the young buck's face. The young rabbit tugged on the grass, giggling as he tossed what he pulled up into the air. As the grass fell on them, Emreld, Ruby, and Liam squeeled, tearing up their own handfuls of grass and tossing them in the air, pure joy shining in their faces.
