Chapter three: Something unexpected.
Mikey and Donnie search the ruins for any clues of what could have happened to their brothers. They don't find anything not even around the area where the twos phones were left. They stand by where the twos cell phones were trying to piece together what might have happened.
"This doesn't make any sense. Why would they come here and then disappear?!" Donnie stares at the floor as if expecting it to open up underneath them.
"Were they forced here?" Mikey wonders out loud causing Donnie to turn letting their worried eyes meet. "I mean what if they went out then got caught and dragged here for some reason?"
"Maybe." Donnie turns away truly lost on what to think about this whole thing. "I mean there has to be some sort of explanation surely." He checks the twos phones for any sort of clue as to what may have happened to them. He even checks their photos and search history just in case. He pauses noticing that they both had been looking up information about this place. He also notices a few searches asking about any sort of dark ghost being here; Raph especially tried searching several times for any curses at this location and must not have found anything. He wonders if the two felt like something followed them home. He supposes that'd make the question, the searches and them returning here make sense.
They might have been trying to figure out how to get rid of whatever might have followed them home.
The two turtles jump upon hearing a sound that catches them off guard. They check their phones finding an emergency alert about two dangerous individuals. They realize that it's only so far from where they are now. The two share a glance as surely this can't be their brothers.
Leo and Raph would never do anything to warrant such an alert.
"But it does say that whoever this is has killed some already." Mikey points out, making Donnie worry that whoever this is did something to their brothers. "We should probably at least check it out."
Donnie takes a breath before giving a nod of agreement to this. "If there's no sign that they have any involvement and the humans can handle it then we'll come back." He has a bad gut feeling that they need to go there. He just hopes that Leo and Raph are truly alright. He puts the others cells with his own in his belt then the two hurry towards the location.
It isn't too far of a run from their current location so they get there pretty quickly.
Donnie slows Mikey down before nudging him to go behind a rock.
Mikey follows quietly without any sign of even a nonverbal complaint.
The two peek out from behind the large rock that barely covers them. They both gasp with their eyes widening in horror at what they see.
There is Leo and Raph however something is clearly not right about them. Their gear including their masks have turned to be all black and it looks like a green light has taken over the whites of their eyes. They are standing over some killed people with an unusual for them evil smirks on their faces.
Donnie lowers his head only to turn to Mikey upon hearing a sniffle.
Mikey has some scared tears rolling down his face.
Donnie puts an arm around the youngest and holds him close. He looks back to Leo and Raph. "There must have been something there. Some sort of dark entity or something. And now it has taken them over." He whispers to Mikey.
"W-We gotta do something." Mikey sniffles again.
Donnie notices from the corner of his eye that Leo turns towards them. He looks and can tell that they've been spotted. He heads out into the open approaching the two as the two turn to face him. He also hears Mikey hurry over to keep up with him.
The two of them stop as soon as there is a slight gap between them and the other two.
"Leo? Raph?" Donnie tries first hoping that they can reach their brothers. "Are you able to hear me?"
"Lee? Raphie?" Mikey seems to figure that it is worth a try. "Please. Tell us you're still with us in some way."
"The ones you knew are no more." Leo growls darkly before charging at Donnie. He swings a katana as if trying to kill him as it's headed for Donnie's neck.
Donnie leaps back and Mikey leaps away only to use his nunchucks to block Raphs attempt. He spots that some humans who seemed to have been observing all of this are starting to approach. He swings his staff hoping to disarm Leo. He doesn't manage it as Leo keeps a good grip on his katanas. He blocks another attack from Leo. He stares into those eyes where only his iris color seems to be the only part of his brother remaining. "Leo. This isn't you. Stop this now. Before something bad happens. Please." He gets a growl from the other so he shoves back against Leo.
Leo slightly stumbles back only leaving maybe a second to react for Donnie.
Donnie leaps at Leo attempting to knock him down using his body weight. He starts to think it's working then Leo slams a katana into the ground.
Leo lurches back throwing Donnie away.
Donnie hits the ground with his back making him gasp as the air is knocked out of him. He glances to Mikey to check on how he is doing.
Mikey leaps back as Raph swings both sais at him trying to hit either his neck or shoulders. He lands then charges and hugs the other since he knows that he can't easily knock Raph over.
Raph is stronger than any of them after all.
Mikey's mouth moves as if pleading for Raph to hear him and come back to him. He is grabbed then thrown away from the larger turtle. He hits the ground hard with a gasp before rolling away as a sai is almost slammed onto him.
Donnies attention is brought back to Leo as he has to swing his Bo staff to block Leo's attack. He has to push back against Leo's attempts to shove those sharp katanas down onto him. He isn't sure how long he can keep Leo back. He can't easily roll away since Leo's body is positioned over him.
Plus crotch shots don't work on them unless their cocks are out of hiding. So that's out of the question.
Before Donnie can try to reposition to figure out a way to get Leo off someone leaps onto Leo.
Leo throws himself back moving his katanas off of the Bo staff. He swings his body this way and that way trying to throw April off of him.
Donnie catches sight of Casey hurrying towards Raph. He can hear the other calling out his name with a pleading tone. He shifts to get up and hurries towards Leo to once again try to disarm him.
"This isn't you! Whatever has control of you fight it! I know you can beat it!" April pleads clinging to Leo as best as she can. Her grip does seem to be starting to slip.
Donnie is about to go for Leo's weapons when he notices that the human law enforcement are getting pretty close. He hurries to try to delay them. "Wait! This isn't them!" His plea does make the army pause with a general stepping forward.
The general glares at Donnie turning the safety off of his rifle. "You're on our side aren't you? You're fighting them." He huffs in an angry way. "So either fight with us or you go down too. Which is it going to be."
Donnie swallows harshly and he turns to Leo and Raph. He can see that neither of them seem to be responding to them.
Raph doesn't even show remorse when his sai cuts Casey's arm drawing blood.
Whatever has taken control of the two truly has a good grip on them.
Donnie swallows harshly before turning back to the general. "Give us just a little longer. Please. They got possessed by something. This isn't them. We just need to subdue them."
The general stares at Donnie for a long moment before letting out a breath. "Well try to help with that. However if it doesn't work I'll immediately give the order to kill." He nods softly to Donnie. "My little sister once was possessed by a demon. So I understand." He turns to the soldiers. "Nonlethal ladies and gentlemen! Let's try to subdue them and see if we can rescue them from what has taken them! Be prepared to use lethal at any moment! If we cannot get them to respond we will be forced to kill!" He looks to Donnie and speaks softer than his commanding tone. "Sometimes. There isn't any reasoning with demons. If we have to then they will be stopped. This is too dangerous to leave alone if we cannot cast out the demons within them."
"Please. Don't do lethal. We will find a way. Even if we have to trap them at our home." Donnie gets a look of no promises from the general. He turns back to Raph and Leo. He is at least glad to have the human army on their side. He just really hopes that they can snap the two out of whatever has its hold on them. He isn't sure how much patience the general will actually have before going lethal. Hes at least glad that April and Casey are here to help. He is pretty sure they only came to check out the situation when the alert was sent out to all devices. Either way he is truly relieved to have them helping in what is going on here.
But how are they going to snap Leo and Raph out of this!?
