"You want to sneak out? Way to go, Alex." Kitty laughed and I just shrugged, trying not to look toward the rest of the wolf-pack.
"You do realise that Howlington has a curfew right?" Freddy pointed out and I winced, looking at my fingers before I lifted my eyes with two narrowed eyes.
"I know and I don't care. Ric's out there somewhere and I'm going out there to find him." I announced though before I could head for the door I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Easy, Alex. We're a pack remember? We'll help you." Batty said and when everyone nodded I nodded back, the tightness in my chest easing a little.
"While we make sure Pincus doesn't know you're breaking curfew you need to find Ric and bring him back to Howlington. Before the sun sets." Aggie told me and I nodded, grabbing my backpack and as everyone looked on confused I shoved a few things into it.
"Just in case I find Ric and the sun sets before we can get back. But I'll try my best to get back as fast as I can." I replied, barely even checking what I'd stuck into my bag before I lifted it onto my shoulders. With a slight limp, I made my way back to the hallway, checking that Pincus wasn't close by before I looked back at my friends. "I'll keep my phone on so I can call once I find Ric."
Being as careful as I could I made my way through the building, keeping my eyes out for Pincus as well as Baxter and Maurice. Thankfully I managed to make it to the front gate only to see both security guards heading my way, Pincus in front.
Oh just perfect. What do I do now? If Pincus catches me now I'll never find Ric.
"Principal Pincus, we can't find Alex" Ivan called out and I growled, clamping a hand over my mouth to hide the noise. Once he had everyone's attention he pointed to the front gate and as I stared Ivan headed back inside the building closely followed by Pincus, Maurice, and Baxter.
Shaking my head, silently grateful to my friends, I headed as quickly as I could outside into the forest. Glancing up at the sky I noticed how low the sun was now and I groaned, picking up the pace despite how badly my leg began to ache from the effort.
Following the path that Ric had shown me from our camping trip I made it into the town though once I saw how low the sun was now I groaned, adjusting my backpack more determined than ever to find Ric. "Now where exactly are you hiding Mr. Rawls?" I muttered, glancing at the buildings surrounding me. "Guess I'll have to ask around I suppose."
Several hours later I was no closer to finding Ric even asking several people. My legs trembling from walking around the town I decided to take a break, finding the local ice cream shop. I'd barely even pushed open the door when someone bumped into me and I jerked back, stumbling but before I could fall I felt an arm grasp my shoulder to steady me.
"Sorry didn't mean to knock you over." Scarlet apologised and I just shrugged, shaking my head at Freddy's friend before I realised just who I was looking at. "Alex, what are you doing out here?"
"Would you believe looking for Ric?" I grumbled, steadying myself against the wall before I took a deep breath. Seeing Scarlet staring at me I stretched my leg. "He's gone missing and I thought he might be wandering around here."
"Back up a step, Alex. Why is he missing?" Scarlet asked, watching on as I pushed myself upright. "Come on, let's go inside and you can tell me everything."
"It's a long story so I'll give you the short version. The alpha of a wilderwolf pack attacked me and if Ric hadn't shown up….I don't even want to know what the alpha would have done to me. Anyway, I think Ric blames himself for that being their former leader and that's why he's run off." I finished as we sat in the ice cream shop. "I wish I knew where he was right now so I could explain that he didn't do anything wrong."
"He's at the Wolf-a-thorium, Alex," Scarlet explained and as I blinked at her she offered me a grin. "I saw him wandering around near there while I was looking for werewolves."
"So that's where he went. Why there though?" I muttered, completely forgetting about Scarlet until she tapped the table and I focused my attention on her again. "Sorry, I was just thinking about Ric. I hope he's okay."
"If you want I can walk you there." Scarlet offered and I remembered nodding, following her out the door, and as we walked the short distance to the building I couldn't help wondering if Ric really was there.
Once we reached the building I noticed that someone had opened the lock and as I stared at it Scarlet nodded at me. "Impressive that he picked the lock. That werewolf's pretty talented."
"I guess being a former wilderwolf you pick up some skills." I agreed, looking up only to feel my heart race when I saw that the sun was setting. "You'd better go, Scarlet. Wilderwolves are wandering around after dark. I'm not supposed to even be out here, breaking curfew."
"Breaking the rules? What did that werewolf teach you?" Scarlet whistled and I just shrugged, trying not to show how nervous I was by the setting sun. "Okay well, I'd better get home. Don't want those wilderwolves finding me."
"For my sake head home and stay there, Scarlet. The last time we messed with wilderwolves…" I trailed off, swallowing and after a long pause, Scarlet sighed giving me a nod. The moment she walked around the corner I let out a breath and keeping a close eye on the darkening sky I quickly headed inside, making sure I kept away from the camera that I spotted the second I wandered in.
As I stepped into the short hall I heard breathing and I froze, wondering if it really was Ric though when he darted into view eyes glowing red I yelped. Before I had a chance to scream he clamped a hand over my mouth, one arm pulling me close to his chest before he hurriedly shook his head. "Shh, I didn't know it was you, Alex." He whispered, glancing up at the camera though once he remembered it was out of range he breathed out. "Just calm down okay? I'm going to remove my hand."
The second he did I elbowed his chest he sighed, giving me a lopsided grin that had me glaring at him. "Why did you leave Howlington without telling me?" I growled at him, pushing past him and after I spotted a blanket and a pillow lying next to a gym bag I turned my head. "Camping out?"
"I didn't want you to know where I was, Alex," Ric replied, and when I blinked at him, eyes widening he held up both hands palms facing outwards. "Let me explain."
I didn't respond barely looking at him and he sighed, reaching out though he stopped short at resting a hand on my shoulder. "I wanted to fight that alpha, to stop him from harming anyone else." He told me, flinching when I turned back my eyes shining with tears.
"Ric, he wouldn't have let you live. That alpha wouldn't have fought you one-on-one and you know that." I whispered, sniffing, and this time Ric reached across placing a hand on my trembling shoulder. "Why would you just run away without telling me? I've fought by your side before and I'll do it again."
"Alex, you need more time to recover," Ric answered and after a long pause, I briefly nodded at him tears now leaking down my cheeks. "But I know, I shouldn't have left you like that without leaving a note."
"You shouldn't have left at all," I muttered and he sighed, squeezing my shoulder. Seeing the way I kept wincing he took me by the hand and I didn't fight, letting him guide me to the blanket. Now sitting I stared at Ric, silent as he sat in front of me. After his shoulders slumped I shook my head and he jerked when I rested my head on the back of his head.
"I'm not angry at you, Ric I was just…. scared that I would be too late," I whispered, draping both arms around his stomach.
"Alex, you shouldn't be out here at night. Especially when those wilderwolves could be out there right now." Ric told me and I snorted. "You know I'm just worried about you."
"Ric, you're out here all alone. You just left without leaving a note and I was so worried." I countered and he lowered his head, facing the entrance to the Wolf-a-thorium before I rested my hand on his.
"Even while I was tutoring you I couldn't stop thinking about what that wilderwolf tried to do. If I'd just been a few seconds too late…" He trailed off, closing his eyes immediately feeling me holding him against my chest when he trembled. "I'm so sorry, Alex." He finally whispered and I leaned close causing Ric's eyes to shoot open when he felt my lips brush the base of his neck.
"But you made it, Ric. You saved my life and I won't ever forget what you did for me." I replied, causing Ric's head to turn slightly just enough to see me staring at him the moonlight peeking through the window.
"But if you hadn't taken the medicine I gave you you would have been able to hide before that wilderwolf showed up in the sick bay." Ric insisted and I groaned, grasping his chin before I kissed him gently. Breaking apart Ric met my eyes, a tiny smile curling his lips before he kissed me this time intertwining his fingers through mine.
"Ric, we're still here and that's all I need to know," I muttered, feeling his fingers as he brushed back my hair his lips trailing down my throat. "Ric?" I whispered, seeing him lift his head before his familiar warm brown eyes focused on my face.
"Maybe we should make the most of the time we have together. If that's alright with you, Alex." Ric answered and I snorted at him pushing my bag toward him. After giving me a strange look Ric unzipped the bag I'd carried from Howlington and after some checking, he removed a small packet from the bag. "You really...after everything?"
When my fingers touched the hem of his shirt Ric growled at me. Draping his arm around my neck his lips brushed mine, his other hand sliding up my shirt and when I groaned he kissed me hard.
The shirt came off first and as his teeth nibbled my throat he tossed the shirt aside, tracing my belly with his fingernails. "You know this is the second time we've been together like this. After what I did I didn't think you'd ever forgive me let alone let me get this close." Ric whispered, catching my earlobe between his teeth before I had a chance to answer him though when he carefully lowered me to the makeshift bed I groaned as he lightly nibbled my ear.
Lying on my stomach I buried my face in his pillow as Ric's fingers slid my underwear down, panting softly when his fingers slipped into me. "Ease up, Ric," I begged, breathing faster as his warm tongue invaded my right ear. As Ric stroked me he tongued my ear, his strokes slowing when I dug my fingernails into the pillow under my head.
"Just breathe, Alex," Ric growled at me, slipping his fingers from me before he tugged his shirt off. "Didn't think you were that eager." He teased and I rolled my eyes at him once I caught my breath, my arms around his waist now.
"Ric, you had your fingers in me remember?" I replied, panting a little as my hands slipped down to cup his jeans. "Actually speaking of fingers," I added, grasping his zipper, and as Ric looked on surprised I tugged it down.
"Just what are you up to, Alex?" Ric asked but I wasn't looking at my boyfriend before I grinned glancing up at the former wilderwolf in time to see just how wide his brown eyes were.
"Do you want me to keep going or stop?" I asked and Ric hurriedly shook his head at me, pulling his jeans down before I could help him. Now in just his boxers, I whistled and Ric could feel his face growing warm as my eyes travelled his body. "That is very impressive. Not the only one eager apparently.
"What did you expect, Alex? I did have my fingers in you, stroking you hard and fast." Ric breathed, pushing me back down and as he trailed soft kisses along my chest I could feel his fingers touching my bra, taking a moment to unhook it from the back before he tossed it aside. "Never get tired of seeing these." He told me, nibbling the spot directly between my breasts before he cupped them.
"Are you that impressed?" I asked Ric and he chuckled softly, draping an arm around my waist before he leaned in close. Once he trailed his tongue over my left nipple I whined, panting softly as he rubbed my right nipple between his thumb and forefinger.
"Impressed doesn't even begin to describe them. The whole package is amazing." Ric muttered as his fingernails released my nipple and as his nails slipped down my belly I tilted my head back. Then I jerked, eyes widening slightly though once his fingers slipped back into me I leaned back moaning softly. "Getting close aren't you?" He whispered, kissing the nape of my neck as he stroked me his eyes focused on my face.
"Yes….of course I am," I mumbled, my hips jerking in time with each stroke until everything shattered and I moaned clinging to his shoulder. As I panted, sweat dripping down my forehead Ric chuckled trying hard not to move as I gripped his back. "That was...perfect."
"You're not that tired are you, Alex?" Ric muttered and I breathed out, all too aware as to why he was panting. Once he caught me grinning at him, slightly flushed he chuckled at me. "Couldn't help it." He added and I grinned, pushing him down onto his back.
Staring at me Ric's eyes widened when I reached over giving the former alpha a perfect view of my backside as I searched for the packet. After grabbing the condom I lifted myself up enough to slip it on over his cock, giving the werewolf a wide grin before I eased myself onto him and Ric groaned as I arched my back. "You wouldn't believe how long I've been waiting for you to do that." Ric breathed, grasping my backside between his hands and I snorted at him.
"Ric, I saw your cock. Of course, I know how needy you are." I teased, sliding up and down slowly over him. "But you're right, Ric I've missed this." I agreed and Ric grinned at me kissing me as soon as I lowered my face close to his.
As I gripped Ric's back he sped up, groaning when I dug my fingernails into his back hard enough to leave marks. "Easy there, Alex." He panted and I coughed, grasping his backside before I nuzzled his throat.
"Sorry but it's been so long," I whispered and he chuckled, sliding out and I rolled until I was lying on my side. Lying behind me Ric nuzzled my neck, his breathing loud this close to my ears. "But I don't have to tell you that." I finished, arching my back when Ric guided himself into me kissing the back of my neck before he draped an arm around my stomach. Between thrusts Ric grunted, holding me close when I panted.
"Nearly there," Ric grunted, feeling me tensing and when everything shattered in me and I came with a howl he was right there with me. Lying back I panted, trembling as Ric's lips brushed my bare shoulder. "Hope those wilderwolves didn't hear that." He breathed, hearing me still panting beside him.
"Couldn't help….myself, Ric." I finally groaned and Ric nodded, lightly kissing my neck once I rolled over. "You are amazing."
"Of course I know that, Alex but it never hurts to hear it from you," Ric answered, leaning over me before he lightly kissed the tip of my nose. "So I just wanted to say….well I'm sorry for dragging you out here."
"Ric, we've been over this. There's nothing to forgive and besides, I wanted to see you." When Ric stared at me I cleared my throat. "Look I know it wasn't easy telling me the truth, why you had your paw or hand anyway bandaged. You should have told me the truth from the beginning."
"Yeah you're right, Alex. I just wanted to keep you safe and I thought if you knew what really happened that you'd….hate me." Ric answered, sighing and I shook my head resting my forehead against his.
"I could never hate you, Ric. Not after everything you've done for me since we first met. We didn't exactly have the best relationship starting out but you've kind of grown on me since then." I replied and he cracked a tiny grin, kissing me softly when I tilted my head to one side. He broke off the kiss when Ric saw my shoulders trembling and after staring at me for several seconds I broke the silence with a loud yawn.
"Was I that incredible?" Ric teased and I lightly bumped his shoulder with one fist, rubbing at my eyes when a second yawn escaped. "Still you did walk all the way out here from Howlington and I know you still need time to rest your leg. You should get some sleep." He suggested, yawning a little himself when I curled up on the bed he'd made for himself.
"What about you? You're just as worn out." I mumbled and Ric sighed, grasping the blanket before he lay behind me After he pulled the blanket around us I breathed out. "That's better."
"Maybe just a quick nap." Ric finally agreed, closing his eyes to the sound of my light breathing.
The buzzing of a phone woke me and I groaned, turning my head enough to find Ric still sleeping beside me. "Ugh, where did I leave that thing?" I complained, leaning as close as I could to my pants. After some digging around I managed to grab my phone, answering before the caller could hang up. "Hello?"
"Finally we've been calling for ages," Freddy said, looking at the phone as everyone else gathered around him in the rec room. "Where are you?"
"Right now I'm at the Wolf-a-torium with Ric," I explained, keeping my voice low when Ric turned over. "Before you ask Ric didn't want me walking back to Howlington in the dark, just in case those wilderwolves showed up."
"Sure, that's why you stayed the night." I heard Ivan joke and I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration. "I was just joking."
"I spent the night, sure but that's only because it's too dangerous to be out after dark. At least until the wilderwolf pack is caught." I countered, hearing Ric stirring beside me and when I felt a light kiss brushed over one of my shoulders I grasped the pillow, digging my fingers into it.
"Who's calling this early?" Ric grumbled, focusing more on the phone when I held it close to his ear. Once we heard what sounded like Pincus clearing her throat I winced looking at Ric who pressed his open palm over his face, looking as uncomfortable as I did.
"We're in a lot of trouble aren't we?" I whispered, feeling Ric's hand on my shoulder as he stared at the phone taking it from me.
"Miss Wolff, what were you thinking about breaking curfew? There are wilderwolves still loose in Milford." Pincus told me and I winced, looking on as Ric put the phone on speaker before he placed it on the floor in front of us. "You are in serious trouble."
"I was so worried about Ric that I didn't think. Guess I'm going to be spending a lot of my time from now on in detention." I replied and after a pause, I heard a sigh before Pincus finally answered.
"We'll discuss your punishment for leaving school grounds after you get yourself and Mr. Rawls back to Howlington safe and sound," Pincus answered and I groaned, Ric leaning against my shoulder with a grimace.
