There was a time when our country was called by that name. Those dream-filled blue skies are now filled with smog from weapon factories. The towns where the samurai once proudly walked are now filled with swaggering, arrogant pirates. We were stripped of our swords, our status, our honor and everything else. However, the samurai spirit is still alive here. This is our final battle.

17. Quick Update (Will Delete After 3 Days)

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the radio silence over the last few months. Things have been hectic. First things first, I want to make it clear that I am still planning to continue this story. I have not forgotten about this fic, and I fully intend to see it through to the end. I just got caught up in a few other things over the last few months. On top of that, I have also been working on a certain special one-shot.

A few months back, I mentioned that I was planning on writing a Dragon Ball crossover one-shot to honor Akira Toriyama-sensei and the incredible influence he's had on the world and those of us that have read his work. I'm happy to say I'm just about finished with it, aside from a few bumps I need to work out with help from my beta-readers. Hopefully, I'll be able to get that out soon. Once I do, Lesson 15 should follow closely behind. I already have an idea for how the chapter will go, so it's just a matter of typing it all out.

With that said, things will likely become more sporadic going forward, as I will be starting school again this fall. However, as I have said before, I intend to see this story through to the end for all the fans of both Gintama and One Piece out there.
