Episode 4: New Catches

Three days had passed since the Nocedas had arrived at Blueberry Academy and neither one had missed a single day of training since they'd started. Training sessions always consisted of the siblings just sparring with each other as they felt more comfortable just working with each other rather than anybody else, though Carmine had offered to train with the duo if they ever felt up for it. At the moment, the battle was a double-battle with Salma's Ceruledge and Skeledirge against Antonio's Tinkaton and Armarouge. They were battling together in the Terarium's Savannah Biome. On paper, it seemed like an easy win for Salma as both her Pokémon had type-advantages over Antonio's, but Antonio's Pokémon always had a nifty trick up their sleeves. These Pokémon had taken on and beaten Titan Pokémon during Antonio's adventures with Arven, so Salma knew better than to underestimate their capabilities.

"Ceruledge, use Phantom Force! Skeledirge, use Torch Song!" Salma commanded.

The ghost knight and fire croc launched their attacks with one leaping into a ghostly portal and vanishing from view and the other singing a sweet melody that launched a flaming bird towards the opponent. Despite being more timid than his sister, Antonio didn't miss a beat as he counter attacked.

"Tinkaton, intercept Torch Song with Brutal Swing! Armarouge, blast Ceruledge with Shadow Ball the moment he reappears!" the younger brother cried out.

Tinkaton spun around like a Beyblade on the spot, swinging her hammer around and around with black energy coating the head. She ploughed through Torch Song with complete ease and kept spiralling towards Skeledirge. Skeledirge was much too slow to react and cried out as Tinkaton ploughed into him. Armarouge stood still a moment and tried to anticipate where and when Ceruledge would reappear. At first, it looked as if he might try the old ambush from behind trick, but instead Ceruledge reappeared directly in front of Armarouge and slashed him. The fire knight was thrown down onto his back, but not before he countered by shooting Ceruledge with Shadow Ball. Now both fire knights were down on their backs, but not for long. Ceruledge picked himself back up before Armarouge did and tried to use Phantom Force again. Armarouge stood back up just as his opponent vanished into another portal, but Ceruledge wasn't able to land another hit. Tinkaton saw the portal open up again and she intercepted with another Brutal Swing attack. Her hammer slammed into Ceruledge and threw him aside. He crashed down onto his side and winced in pain from the impact. Armarouge then took an opportunity to fire another Shadow Ball at his opponent. But Skeledirge stopped him by using Scorching Sands. Blazing hot sands blew into Armarouge and brought him down to his knees. Tinkaton slammed her giant hammer onto the ground and created a Rock Slide that bombarded Skeledirge. The fire croc cried out as several rocks crashed down on top of him. But that just left Tinkaton open for another attack from Ceruledge. Ceruledge sprinted towards Tinkaton and slashed her across the back with Bitter Blade, causing damage and replenishing some of his health. Tinkaton wailed in pain and tried to retaliate with Brutal Swing. Both opponents clashed weapons and pushed against each other. Armarouge took aim and blasted Ceruledge with another Shadow Ball, but Skeledirge fired his own Shadow Ball and blasted him too. Ceruledge was able to stay standing thanks to Bitter Blade healing him up a little earlier, but Armarouge was down and out of the fight. Tinkaton was left alone to face both opponents. She didn't seem to be in any mood for giving up, but Antonio was.

"OK, I think we'll call it quits here!" he cried out, "You clearly win again sis!"

Salma rolled her eyes irritably.

"The fight's not over yet, Toni. Tinkaton can still fight." she noted.

"Yeah, but why push her any further when it's clear you've got this won?" Antonio protested, "She won't be able to handle two Fire-types at once."

"You never know until you try." Salma retorted, "But I understand little brother, we're not here to push our Pokémon too far. We can't train them if we exhaust them too much after all."

So the fight was called off and Salma and Antonio gave all their Pokémon a Sitrus Berry to replenish their strength after their long, hard-working training exercise. It had been a busy morning for the Nocedas, training all six of their Pokémon with every battle they'd had being two pairs of Pokémon against another. Antonio had won the first round with his Aqua Breed Tauros and Lokix defeating Salma's Garganacl and Cetitan, but Salma had won the next round with her Palafin and Kilowattrel taking down his Meowscarada and Glimmora. Now this match had been decided with Ceruledge and Skeledirge as the victors, making this a 2-1 victory for Salma, which Antonio wasn't surprised about given his sister was the reigning Paldea Champion and he wasn't. He was just impressed he'd even managed to knock out half of Salma's team despite being weaker than her. If anything, it told him all those Titan battles with Arven and helping Salma and Carmine stop the "Lousy" Three in Kitakami had made him stronger than he thought.

A while later, both siblings had replenished their entire party's strength with some Sitrus Berries and they decided now was a good time for a well-earned break. Salma checked her Rotom phone to see what the time was and was surprised to see it was already lunch time. How did Pokémon training eat up so much time like that? While the cafeteria was always open to students, Salma and Antonio had found themselves too scared to ever eat there again after their last meeting with Kieran. They also preferred the environment of the Terarium as it made them think back to having picnics back home in Paldea. Thanks to the dome's projectors in the walls and ceiling, it was easy for the two to feel as if they were eating outside despite actually being in a giant dome underwater. The Savannah Biome was also the perfect place to set up a picnic in their eyes. The hot, humid atmosphere that was artificially created to simulate the real thing reminded them of Paldea again and the vast open plains made it easy for them to set up a picnic. Salma chose a good spot and she and Antonio set up a table together. Their table was decorated with a white tablecloth with pictures of Salamence, Hydreigon, Tyranitar and Noivern. The table was set with plates and drinking cups for the Nocedas while the Pokémon all had their own food and water bowls to use. And of course, there was the food. As expected from any Paldean on a picnic, Salma and Antonio had enough bread with them to run their own bakery and a variety of different fillings to make a sandwich with. Paldeans were known to put just about anything in a sandwich no matter how ridiculous it sounded. Salma and Antonio weren't so adventurous; usually preferring to eat what would traditionally go in a sandwich. Salma's favourite filling was peanut butter and jam while Antonio loved cheese and pickle.

"You know sis, you really need to eat something more nutritious than peanut butter and jam." Antonio ribbed, "You don't get all that much good stuff out of it."

"Says who?" Salma retorted, "I get plenty of protein from the peanut butter and jam's made of fruit. That's all the good stuff I need. I don't tell you what to put in your sandwich so don't complain about mine."

"Fine, see if I look out for your health and wellbeing again." Antonio moaned indignantly.

"Oh I'm plenty healthy, so don't worry about me." Salma insisted, running her hands down her body, "I won't be losing this lovely figure anytime soon. When you're a trainer, it's very east to stay in good shape."

"Can't argue there hermana mayor." Antonio agreed, "All that walking around, travelling, climbing and stuff, keeping fit and healthy is certainly easy-peasy."

"There we go hermanito*! Now then, let's see what our Pokémon would like…" Salma trailed off as she picked up a loaf of bread ready to make the first sandwich.

It was a Noceda tradition during a picnic to always feed the Pokémon first. In their eyes, the Pokémon were doing most of the hard work, so they deserved to be fed before them. Ceruledge, Skeledirge, Palafin, Kilowattrel, Garganacl, Cetitan, Meowscarada, Armarouge, Tinkaton, Lokix, Tauros and Glimmora were all given a sandwich to enjoy, each one prepared to the respective Pokémon's liking. The Fire-types all had theirs chargrilled, Garganacl had a plain sandwich that he would sprinkle his own salt on, Cetitan's was chilled, Kilowattrel's was filled with pickle flavoured fillings to make it zingy, Meowscarada had lots of vegetables in her's and Tinkaton's was really sweet. Miraidon and Koraidon were very easy-going. They didn't care what their sandwiches had in them just as long as they could eat one. Once the Pokémon began tucking into their lunches, Salma and Antonio began to make their own. Salma lathered her's with a layer of peanut butter at the bottom and a layer of jam at the top while Antonio put down a carpet of lettuce on his sandwich, then put cheese over the lettuce and then finished off with some sliced pickles. The two made their sandwiches delicately as if this was a work of art, not just food. Some BBA students joked that it must be in a Paldean's nature to take sandwich making very seriously. After they were finished, Salma picked her's up and admired it as if she'd made something incredible.

"Ah…I love you. But now, I must destroy you." she joked.

The purple-haired teen sank her teeth into the sandwich. Antonio was about to do the same until he suddenly saw something in the corner of his eye. The black-haired teen put his sandwich down on his plate and looked to his left. He was sure he'd just seen something move. But what? He quickly found the answer. There, just sticking its nose out of a patch of dry grass nearby was a small Pokémon. Antonio's eyes widened in curiosity. What on Earth was it? He'd never seen a Pokémon like that before. It had yellow fur with red tufts of fur sticking out of its ears. It had a large black nose, cute red eyes and stood on four little legs. It bore a heavy resemblance to a fox, but it looked very different from the Vulpix species he'd met in Kitakami. Antonio's eyes lit up with delight.

"Sis, look! I think that's some brand new Pokémon!" he whispered, making sure not to frighten the Pokémon.

Salma stopped eating and whipped out her Rotom phone to scan the Pokémon. The Pokédex app sprang into life as it told the two what it was:

Fennekin: the Fox Pokémon. A Fire-type. Twigs make for Fennekin's snacks. When it nibbles on twigs, it finds the courage to face strong foes.

"Aye Carumba, they've got Fennekin in this place?" Salma said in astonishment, "Dios mío**, this academy is full of surprises! I thought you could only find them in Kalos."

"Clearly not, because there's one here right now!" Antonio said excitedly, "This is so cool, our first time ever seeing a Fennekin for real!"

"No kidding. I've only ever seen them in books or on the internet. Now there's one in person…" Salma mused.

She wondered if any other starter Pokémon were living in this place given the surprise sighting of Fennekin. Sure enough, as she pondered this thought, she could see a Charmander playing in another patch of grass and she could see a Rowlet roosting in a nearby tree. So what was this Fennekin going to do now it was here? It seemed to be sniffing the air intently. Was it interested in their lunches? All their Pokémon had finished eating so they couldn't share any with Fennekin, not that they would've if they could. Koraidon growled at the Fennekin. The message was clear: "Back off you! You're not invited!" Frightened, the Fennekin slunk away and left the picnic site. Antonio glared at Koraidon.

"Hey, that wasn't nice!" he scolded, "That Fennekin wasn't doing anything wrong!"

He then picked up his sandwich and ran off in the same direction Fennekin left. Meowscarada ran after him, more for his protection than anything else.

"I'll be right back! I just wanna see more of Fennekin!" Antonio called to his sister.

"Don't wander too far hermanito!" Salma called after him.

She trusted Antonio could look after himself but still couldn't help but be cautious. She asked Kilowattrel to take to the skies and follow him to keep an eye on him. Kilowattrel obeyed and flew off after Antonio. Feeling more at ease, Salma began eating more of her sandwich.

"Toni's sure interested in that Fennekin." she said to herself, "I wonder if he'll catch it. I'll be glad if he does. Something as cute as that would be right at home in his possession…"

She began to ponder if there was anything in the Terarium she would like to add to her team. There were plenty of Pokémon outside of Paldea living in this place, so there were plenty of options open for a new addition. She didn't want too many Pokémon as she had a sizable amount already, so at least one new addition would be enough. The last time she'd caught a new Pokémon was when Ogerpon had joined her side after her Kitakami adventures. Before that, she'd also caught the Bloodmoon Beast, which had turned out to be some new form of Ursaluna that had been undiscovered until now. Two new additions that had come out of one school trip. So what would come out of this one? Salma put the thought out of her head as she continued to eat. She was only halfway through her sandwich until she heard a chomping sound behind her. Salma swallowed what was in her mouth and spun around to see what it was. Ceruledge stood protectively beside her, waiting for any excuse to attack. Salma's eyes widened as she found herself staring at another Pokémon that she'd never seen in person before. It was orange in colour and had a small body, little legs and enormous jaws. It looked somewhat bug-like, though it was actually a Ground-type. Salma didn't know what it was, but she recognized its appearance from having seen it in a book before. The Pokémon looked up at her with hungry eyes.

"Nom-nom!" it said, gnashing its teeth together.

"Hola senior." Salma cooed with interest, "What are you pequeño***…?"

She scanned the Pokémon with her Rotom Phone and the Pokédex answered her question.

Trapinch: the Ant Pit Pokémon. A Ground-type. As it digs through the sand, its giant jaws crush any rocks that obstruct its path. It builds a funnel-shaped nest.

"Ooooh, so that's what you are." Salma mused with fascination, "Trapinch…we don't get those in Paldea. Pity really as you are one fascinating specimen." she said gleefully.

"Nom-nom!" the Trapinch said again.

"What is it? Are you hungry?" Salma asked, "Is that why you're here?"

She imagined it might've been attracted by the smell of all the food that was there from the sandwiches she and Antonio had been making. Luckily, there was plenty of bread and sandwich fillings left so Salma could make a new one for the Trapinch. She picked up a couple of sausages and put them in-between two slices of bread. Then she drizzled some ketchup over it and tossed it to the Trapinch.

"There you go amigo! Do eat up! It's all yours!" the Paldean girl said kindly.

Ceruledge glanced over to her as if unable to believe she'd just done that. Salma ignored him and watched as the Trapinch walked up to the sandwich on the ground. It sniffed at it and licked its lips greedily.

"NOM-NOM!" it shrieked excitedly.

Then it scoffed down the sandwich in a hurry, picking it up with its massive jaws and guzzling it down without even chewing. Salma just laughed, more amused than anything else.

"Yep, I'd definitely say you were hungry!" she chuckled.

Ceruledge sighed irritably. He was sure the little pest was going to start begging Salma for more food now. The Trapinch finished the sandwich, burped in satisfaction, and then scuttled up to Salma. Ceruledge pointed his blades at it, warning it to back off. Salma held up a hand and told him to stand down. Trapinch wasn't trying to attack her so he didn't need to be so hostile. The Trapinch just stopped at Salma's feet and then nuzzled against her legs. Salma giggled. She guessed it was saying thank you for the food. Salma reached down and patted the Trapinch on the head.

"You're quite welcome amigo!" she said cheerfully, "I love helping out a Pokémon in need, so it's no skin off my nose. I bet it's been a while since you've last eaten, huh?"

The Trapinch sighed sadly. It had been wandering around hungrily for quite a while. Salma's sandwich was the first thing it had literally tasted in days. Salma gazed sympathetically at Trapinch.

"You seem to have it rough out here senior." she lamented, "I'm so sorry to hear that. Say…how would you like to come with me?" she offered.

Trapinch's eyes lit up with excitement. It chirped and chomped with glee.

"Sure! I'd love to have you on the team!" Salma said happily, "It'll be fun to have a new face around here and with me, you'll never go hungry again!"

Trapinch was so overjoyed that it leapt onto Salma's lap and nuzzled against her chest vigorously. Salma laughed uncontrollably.

"Ha, ha, ha! OK, OK, calm down, you're gonna tickle me to death!" she cried.

Salma's other Pokémon gathered around Trapinch. Seeing it was going to join the team, they decided to greet it and make friends with it. Even Ceruledge decided to put up a friendly face for it now he saw it wasn't going to be some freeloader leeching off of their food. Palafin was the first to greet it, chirping merrily and clapping his fins. Trapinch liked Palafin's upbeat attitude and gnashed its teeth in response. Garganacl knelt down and stroked Trapinch's head. Trapinch licked at his fingers, enjoying the salty taste on the surface of his skin. Cetitan picked Trapinch up with his fins and threw it up and down a few times, making Trapinch laugh. Skeledirge sang to it, making Trapinch grin with delight. Miraidon came up to inspect Trapinch, curious at seeing another Pokémon it hadn't met before. Ceruledge was the last to greet Trapinch, sheathing his blades and bowing politely in apology for his earlier behaviour. Trapinch held no grudges and nuzzled Ceruledge's leg affectionately. The ghost knight's face lit up, clearly liking how friendly Trapinch was. Salma was touched by the scene before her. All her Pokémon already seemed to like their new friend. If only Kilowattrel could've been here to join in.

The Electric/Flying Pokémon was still in the air watching over Antonio as he and Meowscarada chased after Fennekin. The little fox Pokémon wasn't even aware if was being followed. It just carried on running, looking for a safe place to hide from Koraidon after being scared by it. Antonio tried to keep up, but he could see it was a losing battle. Fennekin was too fast for him. He was about to turn to Meowscarada and tell her to run ahead. She was faster than he was so she'd catch Fennekin easily. But then suddenly, Fennekin stopped running and let out a cry of terror. Antonio and Meowscarada stopped running as well and gasped as a giant Rhydon stomped in front of them. It had been dustbathing at the time and as it moved, sand sprinkled off of its tough body. The huge rhinosaurus bellowed angrily, clearly furious with Fennekin for running into its territory. The little fox Pokémon whimpered and curled up into a ball in fear. Antonio was frightened too. He'd never seen a Rhydon before as they don't live in Paldea. It looked very scary to him. But he wasn't going to let it just attack Fennekin.

"Meowscarada, grab Fennekin, quick!" the Paldean teen yelled.

Meowscarada dashed in swiftly, moving with the grace and agility of an acrobat. She then grabbed Fennekin and whisked her away just as Rhydon tried to stab it with its drill horn. Rhydon roared furiously and pawed at the ground with its feet just as Meowscarada ran back to Antonio with Fennekin in hand. The vulpine Pokémon opened its eyes, surprised to see it was still alive. Antonio patted its head softly.

"Don't worry amigo. We'll protect you." he promised.

He took out his Rotom phone and scanned the Rhydon.

"Now what Pokémon IS that?" he asked.

The Pokédex answered him.

Rhydon: the Drill Pokémon. A Rock/Ground type. It evolved to walk using only its hind legs, which has allowed it to expand its habitat even onto steep mountains.

"No kidding about the "drill" part!" Antonio joked, eying up its drill horn, "But we're in luck. It's a Rock/Ground type, so we've got this…"

Meowscarada nodded. Rock/Ground types were easy opponents for her to handle. She remembered the first time she'd thought a Rock-type Pokémon. It had been the Titan Klawf when Antonio had been journeying with Arven. As a Sprigatito, a single Leafage had been enough to take it down. As a fully evolved Meowscarada, the Rhydon would stand no chance. The feline magician stood in front of Antonio and Fennekin, gritting her teeth and bearing her claws. She hissed viciously, daring Rhydon to come at her. Rhydon seemed to get agitated by the threat for it suddenly lowered its head and charged towards her. The ground shook with every footstep it took. Fennekin whimpered, burying its head into Antonio's chest. The black-haired boy refused to be intimidated.

"Use Flower Trick!" he commanded.

Meowscarada launched her flower at Rhydon. It disappeared and then reappeared above it, showering Rhydon with exploding flower bombs. As expected, Rhydon was taken out instantly due to its double Grass weakness. Antonio was sure it was unconscious before it had even hit the ground as it fainted. Meowscarada grinned conceitedly, pleased with herself for winning the battle so quickly. Fennekin stared at Meowscarada as if she was some incredible superhero that had saved its life. It looked up to Antonio, its eyes wide with appreciation. Antonio looked down at Fennekin and gasped as if he'd forgotten he was still holding it. He smiled softly at the little Pokémon.

"Are you alright, amigo?" he asked, "That Rhydon must've given you a nasty scare. Don't worry, it won't hurt you anymore."

Fennekin gazed into Antonio's eyes. It could see that this human was a very kind soul and wouldn't do anything to hurt it. Full of gratitude, Fennekin reached up and begin licking Antonio's face. Antonio giggled.

"Ha, ha! OK, take it easy! You don't need to thank me, I'm just glad you're OK." Antonio said modestly.

He stroked Fennekin's head softly.

"Say amigo, would you like to come with me?" he asked hopefully, "I'd love to have someone as cute as you on the team. My other Pokémon would love to have you with us."

Fennekin considered for a moment. It didn't see any reason not to join this boy. He was clearly very nice and he'd just saved its life. Wouldn't it be rude and ungrateful of it not to join? Fennekin cried out gleefully and nuzzled Antonio's cheek.

"I take it that's a yes." the Paldean teen said happily, "Welcome to the team Fennekin!"

Fennekin barked merrily, pleased to be welcomed to the team like so. Meowscarada came up to Fennekin and picked it up. She meowed to Fennekin and Fennekin yapped in response. Already, the two looked as if they were going to get on just fine. Antonio beamed, glad to see his newest addition was going to be welcomed so warmly. He then remembered that he still had his sandwich with him. He broke off a piece and fed it to Fennekin to further build up their friendship. Fennekin gobbled the sandwich piece down happily, appreciating the kind gesture. Antonio smiled and gave it another piece while he finished off the rest. Kilowattrel had seen the whole thing and was glad to see Antonio wouldn't need any help. He flew back to the picnic site to let Salma know what had happened.

Later on, Antonio also returned to the picnic site with Meowscarada walking beside him and Fennekin in his arms. Salma saw him coming and ran over to him, glad to see he was back. She saw him carrying Fennekin and immediately pieced together what had happened.

"I see Fennekin warmed up to you." she said happily.

"I saved it from being attacked by a Rhydon." Antonio explained, "Meowscarada's Flower Trick took it down instantly!"

"No wonder Fennekin's grateful." Salma said brightly, "Pokémon always appreciate having their lives saved. And you know what? You're not the only one who's got a new Pokémon…"

She beckoned for Trapinch to come over and meet her brother. The Ant Pit Pokémon scuttled up to Antonio and looked up at him. Antonio gasped in amazement, nearly dropping Fennekin.

"Whoa, what's that?" he asked.

Salma explained to him what Trapinch was and how she got it to join her team. She even showed him its Pokéball to show that she'd officially caught it. Her Garganacl had to be exchanged to make room in her party for Trapinch.

"So how about that, you got a new friend too." Antonio acknowledged, "That's so great! Now I best do the same for Fennekin."

He used his Box Link to exchange his Aqua Breed Tauros so he had an empty slot in his party for Fennekin. Once that was done, he took out an empty Pokéball and held it out for Fennekin. Fennekin didn't need any further prompting. It wanted to join Antonio and nothing more. It pressed its nose against the ball and allowed itself to be absorbed inside. The ball shook a few times and then pinged, signifying the capture. Fennekin was officially Antonio's now. He immediately let it back out again. Fennekin wagged its tail, happy to officially be part of the team. Trapinch walked up to Fennekin and sniffed at it. Fennekin sniffed back and then the two started to play together. It was clear they'd decided very quickly that they liked each other. The Nocedas just grinned at the adorable sight before them.

"Aww, they're friends already!" Salma cooed, "Just what we want between all our Pokémon, right Toni?"

"You bet Salma." Antonio agreed, "And I bet we'll raise them into very strong Pokémon just like the rest of our Pokémon! I wonder what Fennekin evolves into."

"We could ask the Pokédex, but I think I'll just wait and see instead." Salma decided, "It'll be more exciting if I don't already know."

She and Antonio packed away their picnic site and resumed training for the afternoon. This time, they had two new Pokémon to train with. Their other Pokémon could take a break for now and let Trapinch and Fennekin show off what they could do. The antlion Pokémon and fox Pokémon stared each other down as they prepared to do battle.

Unknown to anyone, someone was watching the Nocedas training together. Kieran was watching from atop a rock nearby, his Hydrapple beside him with its seven Syrpent heads glaring furiously at Salma. The BBA Champion wanted to make sure his arch-rival was training hard and preparing for the league. His vacant eyes were surprised to see her and Antonio using new Pokémon to battle with. That was interesting. Would Salma use this new Pokémon against him? It didn't matter for he'd dealt with the Trapinch line before. Drayton's Flygon had been no match for his Politoed's Ice Beam and Dragonite's Breaking Swipe attacks so even if Salma evolved her's into a Flygon, it wouldn't do her any good.

"Train hard Salma. I want you in the best shape possible when I finally crush you with my own two hands…" Kieran growled.

Hydrapple growled in agreement. Kieran patted it on the head affectionately.

"Patience buddy. Your time will come." he assured his partner.

He stood up and walked away. He didn't need to watch anymore. He had his own training to focus on now. He was going to make sure Salma got the fight of her life when they finally battled…

Salma and Antonio have some nice new additions to their teams. I think Trapinch and Fennekin will grow to be powerful Pokémon for them, don't you? ^^ We'll see just how powerful they'll be when our heroes engage in some "Training in the Savannah Biome" next time...

Trivia: I don't have any real reason why I picked Trapinch and Fennekin to be the new catches here other than I really like Flygon and wanted Salma to use one and Fennekin really grew on me after watching the X and Y anime last year and I wanted at least one of the starters available in The Indigo Disk to be part of a team here, so Fennekin it was. I still regret never having any of the Silverlock sisters use a Flygon so at least with Salma I can make up for that. :D

There's also no real reason behind Salma and Antonio's favourite sandwich fillings, they're just what I picked.

Also the reason why Antonio got a fight for his new catch while Salma didn't was because I thought I'd throw Antonio a bone and let him win a fight as he's yet to do so in this story. Last thing I want is for him to end up like poor Liko over in Pokémon Horizons where the writers won't give her a break and let her win more often. We're three seasons into the show guys, Liko should be winning more often now!
