Hello
Krillin was scrolling down the news when something caught his eye. "Hey, Master Roshi!" he called out. "Could you turn on the TV?"
A crowd had gathered around the two freshly made craters. Suddenly, the two pods could be seen opening. Two strange looking guys emerged from them.
Vegeta and Nappa stood tall, breathing in the fresh air of a planet after a long time.
"Aliens!" a man exclaimed.
Nappa smirked. He sure liked being the centre of attention.
Both Vegeta and Nappa floated upwards and landed on the intact side of the road.
Everyone gasped. What did the aliens just do? D-did they fly?!
Krillin and Master Roshi sat in front of the TV screen.
"Are you thinking what I am thinking?" Krillin asked.
Master Roshi nodded. "Yes. There's no mistaking it. It's the Saiyans."
A brave reporter approached Nappa and put forward the mic. "Hello, mister. What brings you here to our planet? Our viewers would like to know..."
Nappa chuckled. "Just wanted to enjoy some scenery."
The reporter grinned. "You sure have come to the right place!"
Everybody in the crowd felt relaxed by the conversation.
Vegeta looked up at Nappa with an annoyed look.
"Oh yeah," said Nappa and pressed a button on his scouter. Nappa looked slightly startled as multiple readings flashed across his scouter. "Would you believe it? There are almost half a dozen fighters near to a powerlevel of thousand on this planet."
Vegeta smirked. "Interesting..."
"Yeah," agreed Nappa. "When Raditz was here Kakarot was at 450 and he was their strongest fighter."
"Yes. It's apparent, Nappa. They have been preparing for us."
Nappa chuckled. "So does that mean we are finally going to get a challenge, Vegeta?"
Vegeta chuckled in reply. "Well, don't get your hopes up. You know a few powerlevels of thousand are nothing compared to us."
The media were getting unhappy by the conversation of which they couldn't understand a word of.
The reporter looked towards Nappa. "Sir, do you happen to be entering the annual wrestling competition on our planet?" he asked.
Nappa grinned. "Well, not exactly a wrestling competition..."
Vegeta scoffed. "Cut it, Nappa."
Nappa changed his expression to a more serious one. "Now, if you may excuse us..."
The reporter judged that the two aliens were about to leave. He rushed the mic to Nappa's face. "Well, any parting words to our viewers?"
Nappa snickered as he gathered energy in his hand. "I have a parting gift for you!" With that the bald Saiyan raised his hand with a couple of fingers pointing upwards.
KRACKGH!
Krillin and Master Roshi sat spellbound in front of the TV when the transmission cut off.
Master Roshi looked towards Krillin who was still staring at the screen with a blank expression. "Come on, Krillin! Inform the others!"
Tien and Chiaotzu had just gotten up from their breakfast when Tien's phone rang.
Tien received the phone. "What's it, Krillin?"
Yamcha looked bewildered as he listened to Krillin on the phone. "What do you mean, the Saiyans are here? It's only been eleven months!"
Yajirobe turned in his bed as his phone continued to ring. "Damn you, Krillin," the fat man muttered before putting his phone to silent mode and resuming his sleep.
Nappa and Vegeta stood calmly. Nobody and nothing could be seen around them except for the Earth.
The whole of Lion city had been reduced to a gigantic shallow crater with smoke rising from various points.
Nappa looked towards his partner. "So where do we go first, Vegeta?"
"Towards the strongest powerlevel on the planet," replied Vegeta, his brows furrowing. "Kakarot has belittled his Saiyan heritage by choosing these pathetic earthlings over ourselves. He needs to know what it means when you refuse the offer of your superiors."
Nappa cracked his knuckles. "Yeah. I am gonna enjoy beating the crap out of that low-class piece of trash."
With that, the two Saiyans floated into the air before an aura of energy enveloped both of them. In a second, Vegeta and Nappa were flying away, disappearing into the horizon.
Piccolo took out his phone and read the message of his hated uncle, Khami. "Grr, the Saiyans are here."
Gohan's jaw dropped open. Luckily the boy had fully recovered from his previous bout of training and stood without an injury to his body. Gohan stood in a purple gi resembling that of his teacher's with a sheathed sword strapped to his back. "Weren't they supposed to arrive a month later?" he asked.
Piccolo growled. The worst part of the matter was that Goku hadn't returned from his special training as Khami had told him. They would have to fight the Saiyans on their own. Piccolo cursed Khami under his breath. Why the old fool had to send Goku to outer space when the Saiyans could arrive any minute was beyond him. Now, no matter how stronger Goku had gotten from his 'special training' it would be of no use!
Gohan gulped.
"Be on your gaurd, Gohan," Piccolo instructed. "I think they will be coming for us." Piccolo had a strong feeling that the Saiyans would mistake his powerlevel as that of 'Kakarot' again just like what had happened with Raditz.
Suddenly, Piccolo tensed. He could feel two enormous power levels. But these two were nothing like that of the Saiyan he had fought earlier. Piccolo growled audibly, beginning to sweat. Raditz's powerlevel was nothing compared to the two he was sensing!
"They are here," Piccolo said solemnly, looking up.
Gohan looked up and could see two figures floating in the sky at some distance. The boy gasped.
Slowly, the Saiyans neared them and landed.
Vegeta smirked. "If it isn't the Namek who killed Raditz..."
Nappa looked perplexed. "What's this toad doing here? Where's Kakarot?"
Piccolo forced a grin. "Kakarot isn't around. You will have to make do with us instead."
Nappa smiled at the news. "Where did Kakarot go? Ran away? Or has he hid somewhere?"
Vegeta closed his eyes, his arms crossed. "I hate cowards."
Gohan looked agitated by this. "My dad is no coward!" he shouted. "He's on his way!"
Nappa grinned, looking at Gohan. "Look, Vegeta. It's Kakarot's son. Would provide a good hostage..."
Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Chiaotzu scanned Lion city or what remained of it. There was no sign of the Saiyans.
"No," said Tien. "We will have to find them quickly otherwise there's no telling how many cities would suffer a similar fate."
Piccolo took out his mobile phone. He hated doing this. He had hoped that with all the progress he had done there wouldn't be any need of Goku's friends to interfere but now it looked like he had no choice. Piccolo tossed his mobile phone to Gohan who caught it. "Call Krillin. Tell him that we have found the Saiyans."
Gohan looked sheepishly at his master. "I don't remember Mister Krillin's phone number, Mr Piccolo..."
