Master Roshi, Mr Popo, Khami and Korin sat huddled together at Korin's tower.
Master Roshi had the scouter attached to his eye and was doing a live commentary on the scene.
"Tien's powerlevel is rising rapidly. He must be using the Tri-beam!" the old master exclaimed.
Korin sighed. "Let's just hope Yajirobe reaches there in time."
Yajirobe sat behind the dining table, munching down a chicken leg-piece. The reporters surrounding him stood with their mouths agape at his horrible eating manners.
"My students are tiring the Saiyans up in Round one so that I can show up and easily finish 'em off in Round two!" Yajirobe managed to spit out during mouthfuls.
A huge cloud of smoke rose from the area Nappa had just been in.
Tien panted audibly, finding it hard to float. The Tri-beam had robbed him of most of his energy.
Yamcha and Gohan laughed out loud. It looked like Tien really had done a number on Nappa. There wasn't any chance for Nappa to be escaping that alive.
Krillin meanwhile had made his way out of the rubble surrounding him. He grinned and took out the bag of Senzu beans from his pocket. There was still one Senzu left. Now who should he give it to...? Tien seemed to be the right person...
Tien silently observed as the smoke cleared below him. There was no one to be seen. A giant hole was left in the ground.
The three-eyed fighter then began trying to sense the Saiyan's energy. His eyes widened with terror. He could sense someone appear behind him.
"Gotcha!" Nappa exclaimed, grabbing Tien from the back. "You are so dead, three-eyes..."
Rest of the Earth's fighters gasped, sheer dismay gripping them. Nappa was alive and well. Even after their combined efforts they hadn't achieved much in harming him!
An aura of energy surrounded Nappa and Tien as the Saiyan turned upside-down and began to rush downwards towards the intact piece of land at break-neck speed.
Tien desperately shook his head in Nappa's grip, no words coming out of his mouth.
Nappa was grinning with delight as he neared the Earth. Then, just a dozen feet above the land, Nappa released Tien and flew off to the side.
A huge cloud of dust was kicked up as Tien collided.
Chiaotzu looked in horror. "No, Tien!"
Both Yamcha and Gohan had their fists clenched and teeth gritted, shaking with a mixture of dismay and anger.
Tien lay in his personal crater, coughing blood. A chuckling Nappa landed in front of him.
Tien simply lay on the ground, not finding the strength in him to stand even.
Nappa continued to chuckle. 'Good thing Vegeta warned me..' he thought to himself. 'That attack really would have killed me if it hit..'
Tien clenched dirt, struggling to move a muscle.
Chiaotzu watched on in horror as Nappa pulled back his leg and kicked Tien, sending him tumbling.
Tien's eyes were shut with pain. He proceeded to cough some more blood.
Krillin gritted his teeth as he watched the gruesome scene. He had to give the Senzu bean to Tien. But how? Tien didn't seem in the condition to catch.
Nappa then clenched his fist and screamed, his anger finally unmasking itself. "You insolent piece of trash! I will no more stand for this!"
Yamcha and Gohan, meanwhile, charged at Nappa from behind.
BAM!
Nappa had hit both of his attackers' faces by pulling back his elbows.
Both Gohan and Yamcha backed away, clutching their injured faces.
Nappa than faced Tien. "Get ready to die!" The Saiyan opened his jaw and began to gather energy in his mouth.
Tien had his eyes shut tight. 'Oh God. Forgive all my sins..' He could sense the enormous amount of energy coming from the Saiyan. It appeared that this was his end.
"DODON RAY!"
Nappa's eyes widened as a beam of energy hit his chin, causing him to fire his attack prematurely and up into the air.
The Saiyan cursed inside his mind. Some of his teeth had been blown away by his own attack. His gums exploded with pain. This was by far the most painful thing to have happened to him in years!
Chiaotzu stood with his finger extended, panting.
Nappa slowly turned towards the little fighter, his eyes red with unfathomable rage .
Without a word, Nappa zapped in front of Chiaotzu.
Chiaotzu shook with terror. "OWW!" he exclaimed as Nappa's fist crashed into his torso. That one attack had caused many of his ribs to crack.
Then something happened which nobody had imagined.
Nappa grabbed Chiaotzu's body and held Chiaotzu's head with the other hand. The Saiyan than proceeded to rip-off the head right from the body.
Gohan, Krillin and Yamcha turned pale at what they saw.
Tien's eyes widened as he could suddenly feel Chiaotzu's ki drop to zero...
Nappa dropped Chiaotzu's head and body, still fuming with rage. The ground below him stained red from blood.
Gohan took a step back, turning blue in the face. This couldn't be happening...
Vegeta chuckled as he looked on.
Tien screamed in agony and rage. He proceeded to punch on the ground. 'Why, Chiaotzu?! Why did you have to sacrifice yourself to save me?!' Streams of tears flowed down Tien's face. He felt more pain than he had felt during the entire fight against the Saiyan.
Nappa then turned towards the rest of Earth's fighters. "Now who's next?"
Krillin had decided now. He would deliver the Senzu to Tien even if it meant losing his life. The student of Turtle school dashed towards Tien.
BAM!
A groan escaped from Krillin's lips as Nappa's punch collided with his head, sending him to the ground.
Both Gohan and Yamcha shook with anger and dismay, unable to do anything.
.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
All eyes turned to Tien as he suddenly stood up, his aura flaring dangerously around him.
Vegeta smiled as he eyed the rapidly rising reading on his scouter.
Tien's iris and pupil appeared to disappear as his eyes turned to pure white. The three-eyed fighter continued to scream.
Nappa snarled. "Come at me, three-eyes! We will see what you can do!"
With a scream of pain and rage, Tien crashed into Nappa with a shower of punches and kicks.
Gohan and Yamcha looked on, dumbfounded at Tien's newfound strength.
Tien was pouring everything he had and some more into his attacks.
However... Nappa wasn't having a hard time blocking and dodging the blows. Even the attacks which were going through didn't seem to hurt the Saiyan much.
With a yell of anger, Nappa proceeded to punch Tien in the chest.
Tien fell to the ground, coughing some more blood. This time he wasn't standing up... The last reserves of his energy had been drained by his rage-filled onslaught. 'No, Chiaotzu..' he thought, remembering his friend.
Nappa stood in front of the fallen three-eyed fighter. "It's time for you to meet your doll-friend."
Nappa began to charge energy in his hand. He shot a look back at Yamcha and Gohan. "If any of you try to interfere, I will make a point to kill you first."
Yamcha cupped his hands near to his waist, ignoring the Saiyan. "Kame..."
Gohan raised his hands to his forehead, concentrating energy into them.
Krillin slowly stood up. The last attack from Nappa had caused one of his eyes to swell up. The bald fighter looked at the bag of Senzu in his hand. He might as well take the bean himself now..
Nappa smirked as his attack finished charging, his hand crackling with energy. "Now say-"
DISHOO!
Nappa fell forwards on his face as a blast of ki exploded against his back.
Vegeta gasped. "What the?!"
Everybody looked shocked.
Both Gohan and Yamcha had stopped charging their attacks and were looking with their mouths agape.
Krillin looked pale.
Finally, Gohan grinned from ear to ear.
Standing there, with one hand extended, was none other than a panting Piccolo. "Krillin.. give me the Senzu bean..."
