:Remember:

The portal energies surged out of control, as it hummed in its opening. Just then faint voices could be heard. "Pull the switch! And let's end this!" Catra's voice echoed.

"Catra… Please, don't." Adoras voice begged.

"If you do this. It'll be on your conscience for the rest of your life!" Chromastone spoke.

"NO!" Both Chromastone and Adoras voices yelled.

"Adora." Bens voice sounded like he was calling out to her. "Find me." He called out.

"Adora." Catras voice sounded much more softer this time as the light consumes the whole scene.

"ADORA!" Adoras eyes shot open suddenly seeing a glaring Catra staring right at her. She jumped up startled pushing Catra off her and breathed rapidly and shook her arms around.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! A-Adora!" Catra caught her hands and calmed her down. "Heh. Since when do you sleep in?"

Adora looked bemused, for as she looked around her surroundings she found herself in her sleeping quarters in the Fright Zone, only with one difference there was a large Horde banner above her bed and there were no bunks.

"Where am I? How did I get here?" Adora breathed.

"Uh, you're in your room?" Catra questioned a little wielded out. "Are you okay?"

"I… I'm fine. I was just having a weird dream, there there were aliens and… There was something I needed to fix…"

"Of course you dream about work." Catra said sarcastically as they sat on the bed. "There's nothing to fix, Adora. Everything's perfect." She said with a hand on her shoulder.

Adora could only smile at that, she was with her best friend in the place she grew up in and a sure future ahead of her nothing could be any more perfect. "Yeah…it was just a dream." She smiled.

"Come on, get up." Catra chuckled as she helped her best friend to her feet, leaping to her bed posts for Adora to chase after her and she then flipped to the opening door.

Adora stopped for a moment to pick up her jacket she put it on and looked at herself in the mirror. However when her eyes lay on her Force Captains badge she felt unsure. Just then she had flashes of what looked like Shadow Weaver giving her that badge and her looking at it with some pride. Then why did she feel so unsure about it.

"Adora!" Catra called from outside so Adora brushed her thoughts aside and went to join her best friend.

The Fright Zone scrap yard:

Elsewhere in the scrap yard, something was going on the sounds of footsteps could be heard, and emerging from the wrecked junk were a small squad of three Horde soldiers and they were not alone. They had prisoners in shackles but these weren't just any prisoners it was Ben and Rook.

"Move it prisoner!" One trooper said sparking his taser stick. They walked through the scrap yard towards a side entrance to the base.

"I hope this plan works Ben." Rook whispered to his partner.

"Trust me partner, and follow my lead." Ben said as it seemed the two had a plan.

In fleeing Earth before it perished in the portal realities ever growing deterioration Ben and Rook landed in the Fright Zone to find their friend Adora and seal the portal to restore reality as instructed by Professor Paradox. Realising Adora would be here in her version of a perfect reality, Ben enacted a very bold plan to allow himself and Rook to be captured by the Horde. After concealing the Proto Truck in the Scrapyard the plan works all too well and before they knew it they were en-route to the base.

"I do trust you Ben but I question the logic in getting captured." Rook asked.

"Look when you, Bow and Glimmer got captured at Princess Prom you got interrogated right?" Ben asked to which Rook nodded. "Well let's hope thats still the case."

"Ah I see." Rook realised. "By allowing ourselves to be captured we gain access to the Fright Zone, and if memory serves the commanding officer interrogates the prisoners and we stand a better chance of finding Adora."

"Bingo." Ben winked.

"Quiet!" The other guard said soon they arrived at the entrance and with one touch of the palm scanner from the Horde Trooper on the right the door opened.

"Move it!" The other trooper said as they entered the base, they looked around and Ben having been in this part of the base before during the first time they attempted a prison break recognised it instantly. Even the smell from the sewer grates.

"Man Mermista was right the sewers really are that bad." Ben gagged silently.

"Let us hope this leads us to Adora soon I am unsure how much time we have." Rook whispered.

"Knowing our luck Rook, Adora might just come to us." Ben shrugged and he didn't know how right he really was.

Meanwhile:

In another part of the base Adora was walking down the hallway with Catra but she scanned the room with her eyes. A soldier gave a salute and stood to attention as they passed by.

"Adora… It's really her!" When she walked by Adora could hear whispers going round the hallway among some of the Horde Troopers. "It's Adora!" They saw her coming and stood to attention saluting her.

Adora saluted back then she heard them cheering loudly in respect for her clapping even giving each other high-fives. "Whoo! Yeah! All right! Yes!" They cheered.

"What are they all looking at?" Adora asked quizzically.

"You!" Catra answered happily. "The invasion of Thaymor went perfectly. You're the hero of the hour."

"Thaymor." She wondered suddenly she had more flashes of the village of Thaymor but she saw civilians fleeing in terror and being evacuated by Glimmer and Bow, then saw a tall princess with a glowing aura and then Catra retreating into the smoke. However then more memories appeared of a fight between Catra and a creature made of diamonds with a strange hourglass symbol on its belt.

Snapping back to reality she remembered different events. "Oh…Yeah! I defeated the rebel insurgents at Thaymor. Yeah.I did that!" She chuckled as other Horde soldiers saluted their hero.

"Oh, please, you couldn't have done it without me." Catra said throwing her arm around her best friend.

"Right… What would I ever do without you?" Adora said sarcastically raising an eyebrow.

The two laughed as Adora elbowed Catra quite hard in the back and accidentally knocked her into a Horde Trooper who did not look happy in the slightest.

"Hey. Watch where you're going, twerp!" The guard growled while Catra looked mad just then the troopers mood changed when he saw Adora looking rather strict.

"Force Captain!" The guard hyperventilated "I didn't know you were… I'm so sorry."

"You'd better be. Dismissed." Adora said to the guard in a strict tone as the Trooper stood up straight and just shimmied away very much intimidated and bowing.

The two friends laughed up a storm "Oh! Force Captain! Don't hurt me!" Catra mimicked rather dramatically while Adora struck and intimidating pose before they laughed up a storm again. "Too good!" Catra giggled.

Just then the squad of Horde soldiers entered the hallway. "Prisoner delivery." The trooper said and this seemed to peak the duos attention to see the squad transporting prisoners it was two individuals one in blue and black armour and had blue and white fur the other was a boy no older than the two of them wearing clothing not native to Etheria.

Ben looked and saw Adora, and the minute their eyes met the whole world slowed down around them. "A…Adora!" Ben breathed in surprise.

"Uh thats Force Captain Adora to you." Adora said in a strict tone. "Who are these two?" She asked the guards.

"We captured these two in the scrap yard, probably rebels trying to break into the base." One guard explained.

"Hm rebels huh?" Catra snarked which instantly got Bens attention and it was difficult to hide his hateful glare it took everything he had not to reach for the Omnitrix, turn into Rath and tear her a new one.

"We're taking them to Shadow Weaver for processing." The other guard explain as he held Rooks Proto Tool.

"Adora!" Ben said getting her attention. "Its me its Ben don't you remember me?"

"Should I?" Adora asked much to Bens surprise but Rook expected this given their current situation.

However looking closer at his face Adora did see something in his eye. "You…do look familiar but..I I cant place you." She said. "As you were troopers."

"Yes Force Captain." The Trooper saluted.

"Adora it's me its me Ben!" He cried as the Troopers escorted him and Rook away. "Adora try and remember we're friends we are … GAH!" Ben received a shock from the Horde troopers shock stick.

"Keep moving rebel!" The Trooper warned and lead him away leaving Adora and Catra behind them.

"Okay that was weird?" Adora shrugged. "Who was that?"

"Pftt who cares he's probably no one." Catra brushed off as she headed down the hallway.

Adora looked back to the two prisoners being escorted away, and though she didn't know it something about those two seemed strangely familiar yet her mind told her otherwise and so she followed Catra down the hall.

"I believe we have located Adora." Rook voiced to Ben quietly. "It would seem phase one of our plan has come to fruition."

"I..I don't get it she didn't recognise us." Ben said confused.

"Remember what Paradox said Ben, we are in a reality that is also an illusion of a perfect world. Adora may still be under this illusion, experiencing the same Time Drift we experienced on Earth." Rook explained. "Before Shock Rock managed to awaken some dormant memories."

"Right so she doesn't fully remember us." Ben realised. "But she has to recognise us somehow right?"

"Possibly." Rook wondered. Just then the two were forced to their knees by their captors, and when they looked up they saw Shadow Weaver namely how she was before Catra double crossed her in the normal reality.

"Oh great." Ben said sarcastically in his head.

Shadow Weaver eyed the prisoners suspiciously. "Shadow Weaver here are the prisoners." The Horde Trooper said.

"Where were they found?" Shadow Weaver asked the Troopers.

"We captured these suspected rebels in Fright Zone junkyard." One trooper said before showing her Rooks weapon. "We found this on one of them, we believe it is a weapon of some calibre."

The Sorceress took the weapon and looked at it closely then she eyed the two prisoners she wasn't sure why but she felt the weapon looked familiar. She then eyed the boy, and noticed the bracelet like device on his wrist seeing the symbol something seemed to click.

Before her eyes a flash of memories appeared before her eyes just faint glimpses but she saw herself in her sanctum raging in anger as she was fighting against Feedback who absorbed the power of the Black Garnet and blasted her with it. Just then it switched to reveal Toepick revealing his face causing Shadow Weaver to scream in terror in front of Adora and Glimmer. The flash sent her right back to reality.

"What should we do with them?" One trooper asked.

"What?" Shadow Weaver asked.

"What should we do with the prisoners commander?" The trooper asked again.

"Ah take them to the cells I will send someone to question them later." Shadow Weaver ordered. So the Troppers took Ben and Rook away to the cells as the sorceress handed one trooper the Proto Tool as they headed down the hallway.

"Is it safe to assume this was part of the plan?" Rook whispered to Ben.

"Well step one was to get caught to get us inside, and thats worked plus we know Adora's here." Ben said. "Eh in a way."

"And what is step two?" Rook asked.

However the Omnitrix bearer was a little unsure about that last part. "Yeah, still working on that."

"Ah so we are improvising, true Best Friend Squad style." Rook realised though he didn't like the idea.

Back in the hallway:

"Man that guy was weird huh Adora?" Catra asked but she looked to see Adora was lost in thought. "Hey you okay?" She asked finally getting her attention.

"Huh oh i…its nothing but…I can't shake this feeling." Adora wondered.

"What?" Catra asked.

"I…I don't know, that guy he..he just felt so.." Adora stuttered as she was having another sudden flash of memories.

Flashback Chapter 4:

She saw the same young man she saw earlier but they weren't in the Fright Zone they were somewhere different.

"I've spent nearly my whole life in the Fright Zone, raised alongside Catra." She explained. "But I don't know who I was before that, or if I had any parents." Ben just listened.

"But, I was told who I was before didn't matter who I was before, that, that I was nothing before Hordak took me in." Adora explained. "I always wondered if there was something about me that I didn't know about, but since finding the sword in the woods, I don't know things started feeling familiar some how."

Adora looked at the Sword of Protection to see her reflection in it wondering about her past or who she was before.

"Well whoever told you that was wrong." Ben said. "Who you were before any of this always matters, I mean before I got the watch, who was I just a kid trying to survive middle school, but I always looked back to who I was to remember where I came from."

Adora listened to what Ben had to say. "But if theres one thing I've learned from any of this its not our previous allegiances or even what we were told about the world that matters, its our choices and what we decide to do." Ben said. "You found out what the Horde was really doing and you chose to stand up to them, and you still help these people despite what they think of you." He placed a hand on her shoulder as he continued to speak. "That sounds a lot like a hero She-Ra or not."

"And I can't pretend to know the future but if there are any answers to who you were or your parents we will find out, together." He then said. "But until then you have Glimmer, Bow, Rook even me and I learned that sometimes friends are all the family you'll need."

End Flashback:

"Familiar somehow?" Adora breathed.

"Your probably just imagining things." Catra shrugged.

"Hm yeah your probably right." Adora shrugged off just staying in the here and now. "Where are we going again?"

"To the locker room. There's something I wanna show you." Catra explained as they walked past a side door in the hallway.

"Then why are we going the long way around?" Adora asked remembering the routes to the locker rooms. "Let's take the side door right.." However when she turned to said side door it wasn't there it was nothing but a blank wall. "Huh?"

"What? It's always been this way." Catra explained before looking at Adora weirdly. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." Adora said feeling her head but she didn't feel so sure.

Suddenly Catra grabbed her face and closely examined Adora getting right into her face. "Do you have a concussion or something? I know you get hit on the head a lot, but I figured your dumb little hair poof would cushion the blow." She said patting said hair poof.

"I'm fine, okay? Don't make me kick your butt!" Adora chuckled as she lightly pushed Catra away.

"Pfft, as if you could." Catra scoffed as she turned away Adora leapt forwards ahead of her and they shared a laugh as they ran down the hallway.

They entered the locker room still shoving and laughing at each other enjoying themselves. Just then. "SURPRISE!" Called a voice and they turned to see. Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio in the locker room. "Uh Surprise!" Kyle said as he was holding in his hands some kind of cake though it looked very gray.

"Surprise!" Rogelio said in his growling language.

"What is this?" Adora asked she looked to see Kyle had a large cake on a tray with a poor scribble of Adora's face on it "Are those ration bars?" She saw it was gray like the ration bars they get.

"We wouldn't have been able to defeat the rebels at Thaymor without you. Plus, you were the one who talked Shadow Weaver into letting us come." Lonnie said jumping down from the bench "So, we all pitched in, took Kyle's ration bars for a week, and made this." She wrapped her arms around Kyle as did Rogelio.

"I'm hungry, but celebrating your victory is worth it." Kyle said positively while hungry on the inside.

"You guys!" Adora said very touched so much so she pulled them into a hug. "You even got the gray kind, it's way better than the brown kind."

"Hey, it was Catra's idea!" Lonnie said.

Adora looked with a raised eyebrow to Catra who was leaning on the wall smirking. "Oh yeah?"

"Eh, whatever, don't make a big deal about it." Catra shrugged off as she walked by.

"Wow, I can't believe you like me, that is so embarrassing for you."Adora said sarcastically before she pulled Catra into a headlock and gave her a childish noogie.

"Ow! Ugh, stop it!" Catra groaned and giggled at the same time. "Get off! This is not because I like you!"

She tackled Adora to the ground and they slid across the floor as they wrestled like children. However this sudden surprise caused Kyle to lose his balance and accidentally flung the ration cake into the air.

"No. No, no, no!" Kyle panicked as he tried to catch it but it was too late the cake hit the ground with a large *SPLAT!* Which did get all over Rogelio's shirt and their clothes as well.

"Oh, come on, Kyle!" Lonnie yelled very annoyed.

"Sorry." Kyle moaned. Which resulted in Rogelio picking the cake scraps off his shirt and flung them at Kyle as did Lonnie while Adora and Catra laughed their heads wasn't long until Catra joined in the food fight trying to hit Kyle who ducked to the ground.

"Dang it!" Kyle grumbled.

Adora just smiled at their childish behaviour but when she looked at the remains of the cake she gasped. There was a name written at the bottom of it and that name, was Mara. "What?" Adora breathed, but before she had the chance to contemplate this.

"Hang on. You got something riiiiight…there!" Catra squished a piece of the ration bar cake on Adora's cheek and laughed out loud as she rubbed it off her face with her arm. When she looked at the cake again it was the doodle of her face the writing was gone.

"Adora." A familiar voice said and they all looked to the back of the room. "Get off the floor. You are the Force Captain who sacked Thaymor." Shadow Weaver appeared from the shadows of the room and she looked at Adora with pride.

"Sorry, Shadow Weaver." Adora said standing to attention, as Catra stood up with some cake still on her cheek.

"And you!" Shadow Weaver pointed to Catra who had a frowning face as her mentor reached out Adora gasped in shock fearing her friend might get punished however.

"Look at you. You're a mess." Shadow Weaver stroked the cake splat off Catra's cheek showing…affection? "Go get yourself cleaned up." She said softly caressing her cheek.

"You're no longer children. I have high hopes for you both. Do not waste your time on such foolish games." Shadow Weaver said in a slightly stricter tone as she walked away.

"Yes, Shadow Weaver." Catra grumbled.

"Adora, come with me." Shadow Weaver said. Adora looked back to Catra and her other friends who merely smiled in support to her. So she took her leave to talk to her mentor. As soon as, she was gone Lonnie stuffed some cake in Kyles face.

"I will admit, I did not think that Catra and the others were ready to be deployed." Shadow Weaver said to her prized pupil as they walked down the hallway. "But under your command, they performed admirably. You are becoming every bit the leader I always knew you to be."

"Thank you, Shadow Weaver. I couldn't have done it without them." Adora thanked very humbly.

"Suffice it to say, Hordak is impressed with your performance. He is rewarding you with a new mission." Shadow Weaver said.\

"Really?" Adora said excitedly.

"You'll get the rest of the details at briefing." Shadow Weaver assured her as they looked out from a window at the view of the Fright Zone. "Look at it, Adora. This is who you are. The Force Captain who will lead the Horde to victory."

Adora looked out at this view with pride in her eyes, suddenly the structures began to phase in and out of reality. She was shocked was she seeing things.

"It's what you've always dreamed of. Everything is perfect." Shadow Weaver said in some happy tone, however what Adora saw next was something she didn't expect.

"Mara dearie." Echoed a voice and the reflection of a certain forest hermit flew across the window. Adora gasped as she turned back to face Shadow Weaver only to see some small white butterflies fly by.

"What did you just say?" Adora breathed.

"I said, are you ready for the briefing, Adora? Now run along. Don't keep the sergeant waiting." Shadow Weaver said as she left her there in some shock and disbelief did she see something?

Cell Blocks:

Meanwhile, Ben and Rook sat in a cell on the second level floor. Ben sat with his back against the wall and Rook was busy trying to pry off one of the panels on the cell doors inner wall.

"Don't we at least get a phone call in here?" Ben openly asked for the sake of conversation.

"I believe your attempt at prison banter needs work Ben." Rook observed while he worked on prying open the panel. Finally he got it open.

"Okay I gotta ask what are you doing?" Ben asked him.

"Something Bow and I were attempting when we were captured. If I can rewire the circuits I can short out the force field in case we need an escape." Rook stated. However their attention then turned to seeing the prison cells in front of them glow and phase in and out of reality.

"And judging by the progression of the deterioration we may need it very soon." Rook said.

"Okay we just gotta try and help Adora remember she's She-Ra then we can find the portal and seal it." Ben said.

"If we can get her to listen to us. Which will not be easy." Rook said standing up and leaning on the wall. "Based on the chatter we have heard since our arrival, in this reality Adora lead the siege of Thaymor a mission she was originally meant to be a part of when she became a Force Captain."

"Right but she never joined it because she met Bow, Glimmer and found the sword." Ben added. "It was that battle when she saw the Hordes true colours and transformed to She-Ra the first time."

"The second time actually if I recall from our friends story the first time she changed was in the forest confronting one of the beasts there." Rook corrected.

"Yeah that." Ben nodded realising that.

"However getting Adora to remember is another thing entirely she did not seem to recognise us." Rook noted.

"I don't think so I could see it in her eyes she did think we looked familiar, somewhere in there she remembers I know it." Ben said with hope. "And obviously I can't change into Shock Rock, find her and give her a shock of his power to help her remember."

"Agreed such an action could start a panic and put the Fright Zone into lockdown." Rook agreed. "We are strangely fortunate they did not take measures to prevent you from using it."

"Yeah guess this whole Time Drift thing is good for something." Ben chuckled. "But…there…there just has to be a way to help her remember!" He put his hand in his pocket and then. He felt something.

He pulled something out of his pants pocket, and when he opened his hand it was a folded piece of paper. "Huh?"

"What is. That?" Rook asked.

Ben was confused he didn't remember there being a piece of paper in his pocket, could this be a clue left by Paradox? But then he saw some white butterflies flying outside their cell and when they flew by it was then Ben noticed something in one of the cells or rather someone.

"Huh!" Ben gasped it was Madame Razz.

"Find her dearie…remember…" her voice echoed before she was suddenly glitched out of the cell.

"Ben what is it?" Rook said getting his attention.

"I..I thought I saw…" Ben wondered, but then he looked at the piece of paper in his possession and upon closer inspection he saw some writing on it. 'When you find her give her this.' It read, and judging by the wobbly writing it definitely wasn't Paradox's handwriting.

Curious Ben proceeded to slowly open the folded paper, and when he saw what was written inside his eyes widened in surprise. It was then a plan began to formulate in his head.

"Thats it!" Ben breathed. "I've got an idea of how I can speak to Adora."

"How?" Rook asked. "Does this involve something brash or entirely crazy at all."

"Ah something like that." Ben said as he stood up. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think its time to borrow a page from Shadow Weavers playbook."

"Oh dear." Rook grimaced at that.

"Yeah but at this point what do we have to lose?" Ben then shrugged and so he went to the cell door and started pounding on it causing the force shield to crackle and hum. "HEY GUARDS! GUARDS! GUAAAARDDSS!" He yelled out while still banging on the cell door. It wasn't long until a Lizard Horde trooper appeared in front of the cell.

"Okay prisoner you've got my attention what do you want?" He asked.

"I'm ready to talk. You wanna know why we're here right?" Ben asked the trooper.

"Knew you'd crack eventually." The Trooper smirked behind his helmet. "I'll inform Shadow Weaver.."

"Nope." Ben interrupted. "I'm not gonna shared anything with masked and creepy, you want me to talk then I wanna speak to Force Captain Adora."

To say the Horde Trooper was taken aback was an understatement this prisoner was demanding to speak to a Force Captain the hero of the Horde no less. However Rook could see all too well what Ben was trying to do, he was trying to barter a conversation with her.

"You're in no position to make a demand like that!" The Trooper said.

"Actually you should comply." They looked to Rook who stood up and addressed the soldier. "Because if my understanding of Horde Protocol is correct prisoners are interrogated by either superior officers or Force Captains, and protocol must be maintained should it not?"

"Yeah and from what I've heard in the rebellion Hordak is the kind of guy who isn't eh very happy when he doesn't get results." Ben added in a sly way. "If you get what I mean."

This seemed to defiantly get the Horde Troopers full attention indeed, and it was true he knew his master did not tolerate failure. This left him wondering what to do.

Elsewhere: Horde Briefing room:

Meanwhile in the briefing room, the other Horde Force Captains were assembled and chatting to each other while waiting for orientation. The Force Captains consisted of Octavia, Grizlor a lizard Force Captain and Scorpia. Just then Adora arrived running into the briefing room, so she took her seat next to Scorpia who just noticed her.

"Hi. I'm Scorpia." She introduced herself.

"Oh, hey. Adora." Adora greeted back but suddenly Scorpia's mood changed. She narrowed her eyes at Adora and eyed her suspiciously.

"You know, I don't know what it is, but I do not like you. I-It's just like this gut feeling I have." She said waving her claws around but Adora pushed them away to avoid getting jabbed. "Maybe it's that little poof thing you do with your hair. Or how much it draws attention to your gigantic forehead."

"Okay, can everyone lay off my hair today?" Adora scoffed looking at her hair.

"And what kind of name is "Adora", anyway?" Scorpia said in air quotes as she kept ranting. "It's like, okay, I get it, everyone loves you. But I do not."

Just then the Sergeant entered the room bringing them to attention. "Welcome, Force Captains. After the perfect execution of our mission in Thaymor" That was met with Adora receiving high fives from the other Force Captains minus Scorpia who just glared.

"the Horde is now in a better position than ever to take the rest of Etheria." The Sergeant then said as the screen behind him displayed the next target. "And here's our next target: The Salineas Sea Gate, separating Horde Territory from rebel controlled waters… We have a week to plan, and then it's go-time, people." The Sergeant continued before the display switched to a visual of Queen Angella flying in the air.

"Now, it's possible that you might have to go face-to-face with a Princess." The sergeant reported but seeing the visuals caused Adora to gasp in shock as she sees more visuals of Mermista, Perfuma and Frosta. "They're powerful and completely devoid of conscience." At the same time Adora suddenly has flashbacks of She-Ra with the princesses fighting alongside them or even helping to repair the seagate that the seargent is speaking of. Adora wasn't sure what to make of these flashes. The last visual of the presentation was of Glimmer.

"But it's possible to take them out." Adora was gasping hard seeing flashes of her with Bow and Glimmer hugging in Bright Moon. Then more flashes then appeared but these were of Ben and Rook like how the Omnitrix bearer was showing off his new rebel clothes. Rook training her in doing Revonnahkai and even one flash of Ben and She-Ra fighting side by side.

"What happened to the stars?" Razz's voice echoed.

"Its hero time!" Bens voice echoed and Adora was on the verge of having a full on meltdown.

"What's going on?!" Adora shouted standing up abruptly from her seat unintentionally calling attention to herself.

"Uh, Force Captain Adora? You have something to say?" The sergeant asked. However at that point Adora noticed something was missing from the room.

"Huh? Where's the screen?" Adora breathed in shock backing away.

"There's…no screen. All the information should be in your report." The Sergeant said a little confused.

Adora looked in her hands and saw she had a detailed report on paper, but she swore it was on a screen not like this. In a yelp of panic she dropped the report and ran out of the room breathing heavier than before like she was having a panic attack.

"Force Captain!" The Sergeant called out while Scorpia spun her claw round her head saying she's crazy.

Adora rushed out of the room and stopped in the hallway breathing heavily to try and calm down. Just what did she see and why. "Force Captain Adora." She jumped in surprise seeing a Horde Trooper next to her.

"Oh uh sorry I did not mean to startle you." The Trooper apologised.

"No no its…ah what what is it?" Adora asked straightening herself up.

"Well one of the prisoners we captured is ready to talk." The trooper said.

"So what has he said?" Adora asked.

"Unclear the prisoner will only speak directly to you, and you alone." The Trooper said.

"Shouldn't Shadow Weaver interrogate him?" Adora asked a little confused.

"I asked her but she is attending to other matters and he won't speak to anyone other than you. His words Force Captain." The Trooper explained. Adora wasn't sure about this but she did find something strange about the stranger. So maybe this could be a chance to distract herself from all that had happened.

Interrogation room:

Adora opened the door to the interrogation room, she gasped in surprise to see Ben sitting at the table in hand cuffs. Ben looked up and saw her and it seemed his bartering had worked.

The blonde girl gave the Trooper a nod telling him to leave them alone. So he left and shut the door behind him. "So I understand you wanted to speak with me." Adora said straightening herself up and stepped forwards.

"Yeah I really did. And I've never been more happy to see you Adora!" Ben said with a genuine happy face, but Adora looked a little confused.

"Look I don't know what this is about but if you have rebel intel you better share it with me." Adora said. "And I mean now."

"Okay but first let me ask you a question." Ben said and Adora looked befuddled she's the one asking the questions. "Do you know who I am?"

"Your the prisoner that was captured along with that other guy." Adora answered simply. "But…you do seem familiar? Are you in the Horde?"

Ben soon realised that she still didn't remember him but she did think he was familiar which meant her memories of him might still be there. So he had an idea.

"Okay well my names Ben…Ben Tennyson, and the guy that was with me is Rook Blonko my partner we're from a planet called Earth." Ben explained. "Though you probably don't remember earth because…" He paused at that as it brought up too many bad memories of what happened. "Well its gone."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that but from a different planet come on thats…" Suddenly Adora had another flash, and it was of Ben, Rook, Glimmer, Bow and her first meeting at some ruins in the Whispering Woods which made her gasp.

"Hey you okay?" Ben asked her.

"Uh yeah yeah." Adora said. "Look I'm having a bad enough day as it is I don't need some nut calling to just talk to me? Like we're on some kind of date?!"

"Uh okay one I have a girlfriend Adora and two I'm not a nut!" Ben listed. "Well you'll probably think I am a nut when I tell you this."

"What?" Adora asked like she desperately wanted to know more.

"Okay well, what if I told you that nothing was as it seems." Ben said which made Adora give a look she was starting to think he was crazy. "So I heard from some troopers that you recently stopped some rebels at Thaymor right?"

"Yes?" Adora questioned skeptically.

"Do you remember how it happened how you lead the attack?" Ben asked almost like he was the interrogator only being friendly about it.

"I…I…" Adora thought about it for a moment but she couldn't think how she lead the attack. She suddenly got flashes of Thaymor again in flames but this time she was in the village wearing a blue star cape and looked horrified of what was going on, followed by a flash of her holding some kind of sword as if she was defending Glimmer.

She snapped back to reality gasping then breathed heavily reeling from those sudden memories. "I..I"

"You don't remember because it didn't happen." Ben said to her. "At least not the way it really did."

"N…No I..I lead the attack with Catra and.. and everyone else." Adora denied. "Didn't I?"

"Well do you remember something else. Does the name She-Ra ring a bell?" Ben asked.

"She-Ra?" Adora asked but wasn't sure but had another flash in her mind it was of a princess wielding a sword above her head and saying.

"FOR THE HONOUR OF GRAYSKULL!"

Adora flashed back to reality and she was breathing heavily than before. "You know it don't you? and you were raised in the Fright Zone right like all your life?"

"Stop!" Adora said slamming her fist on the table. "Stop it stop talking like you know me!"

"Because I do know you Adora, its how I know all these things about you, your brave, strong, loyal to a fault and at times a little stubborn because when you set your mind to something you stick to it whether its protecting Etheria or her friends." Ben said to her standing up but Adora looked like she was ready to collapse from an information overload. "So if I don't know you how do I know this and I know somewhere in your mind you remember me as well. So pop quiz." He raised his arm showing her the Omnitrix.

"What is this?" Ben asked her and Adora took a look at the device just for the sake of argument.

"Well it just looks like a wa…." Suddenly Adora felt a flood of memories surging through her mind, they were all the times Ben used the Omnitrix dialling in the aliens and changing into them, she saw him change into Diamondhead, Humungosaur, Atomix, Four Arms, Gravattack, Grey Matter, Upgrade, Kickin Hawk, Gutrott, Way Big and finally Scorpattack and Razor Kat.

Adora felt her head gasping for air she had to support herself on the table to keep herself up. "I I don't know stop asking me all these questions I know who I am I'm a Force Captain of the Horde!"

"Yeah you might think you are." Ben said to her trying to get through to her and he could see it was working. "But what is your heart saying, I think deep down you know. Your not where you're meant to be." Adora listened to him still trying to process this. "Think about it Adora, how many times have people been telling you that everything is perfect?"

"Because it is this is where I'm meant to be!" Adora argued back loudly.

"Look I get it we all wish life was this simple but it isn't! This world that we're standing in it isn't real none of this is real its an illusion of what we wish life could be!" Ben said.

"No..tha…thats not." Adora questioned she knew this was her life in her mind, but her heart was beginning to tell a different story but something was stopping her from seeing through the veil.

"This world is fooling you Adora you've got to remember! Try to remember, me Rook, Glimmer, Bow and everyone else!" Ben tried as Adora looked at him questioning herself. "You remember them don't you?" Ben asked her. "Come on break through it Adora!"

Adora clutched her head as she trembled trying to hold herself together. But so many memories came flooding to her at once. Of her, Bow and Glimmer hugging together, Ben and her hugging on the balcony in Bright Moon, meeting Bow and Glimmer who offered help, disguising themselves in Thaymor.

"You know who you are!" Bens voice echoed in her mind.

"STOP!" Adora screamed and just burst out of the room running away.

"Adora! Adora wait!" Ben called after her but suddenly he found himself restrained by two Horde Troopers.

"Thats it I don't know what you've been telling Force Captain Adora but you were clearly playing mind games!" One trooper said.

"Your a rebel alright your going back to your cell!" The Trooper said as they restrained him by his arms.

"No No listen this world isn't real! Your all in danger! Adora!" Ben yelled. "ADORA! SHE-RA!" He was pulled away in an instant.

Seconds later he was thrown into the cell again and was sealed shut. "Ben!" Rook quickly ran to help him up. "What happened."

"I…I spoke to Adora…I…I nearly got through to her…but…she..she…" Ben panted almost in a panic.

"This was likely to happen Ben, the illusion this reality holds over her is stronger than we thought." Rook said to him. "Trying to force those memories to the surface would only tear her mind apart."

Ben took a moment to think and his partner was right that was the way Shadow Weaver thinks not him. "Y..Your right." He said. "But…I think it partly worked, and knowing Adora she'll know the right thing to do in the end."

"I hope so Ben." Rook nodded in agreement. "The fate of reality and the future of both our worlds could well depend on that."

Adora was running through the hallways panicking and breathing heavily she wasn't sure if these flashes were her memories or just some haunting nightmare. As she swung round a corner something startled her it was a bright white portal the whole room was glitching and then it returned to normal. She stepped forward and kept her eyes on the hallway ahead of her.

Suddenly, the portal appeared before her again and blasted forwards heading her way. She screamed and crossed her arms to protect herself. She refused to open her eyes, but when she did the portal wasn't there.

"Wha…what was." Adora breathed as she felt her side she felt something in her pocket. She reached in and pulled out a small piece of paper. She unfolded it and it revealed the name MARA was written on it.

"Huh?!" Suddenly more memories surged into her mind and they were images of She-Ra and her transforming into her. Then suddenly more flashes came this one was of the same portal that she saw before and the flash of light grew bright and she was snapped back to reality.

"Adora?" Called Catra. "ADORA!" She called again which startled her."What is wrong?"

She looked unsure and she handed Catra the piece of paper. "Did you write this?" However when Catra looked at it the paper was blank, on both sides.

"Did I write a blank piece of paper?" Catra said. "I'm gonna go with no." This caused Adora to look at the paper completely bewildered how could it be blank. She turned it over and saw there was nothing there either.

"No, there was something…Something there, I—I think." Adora stuttered. "And then I was in the interrogation room talking to…and then I was running." As Adora explained Catra looked with a gaping mouth and genuine concern in her eyes. "Why was I running?"

"Okay, okay, calm down." Catra said placing her hand on her friends shoulder only for it to be slapped away by a now panicked Adora.

"I can't calm down. This is insane what does it all mean!" Adora exclaimed. "There's something I keep forgetting, there's something I-I'm supposed to fix. That…that boy I..I know I remember him but i..its like something is making me forget!"

Catra listened to Adora and as she did she was having a memory of her own it was of her looking down at Adora and Ben from an edge and she was holding a certain sword in hand. Then another memory of her fighting a giant orange tiger man with an hourglass symbol. "I remember a sword, a b-bright light, and you were there…"

*SLAP!* Catra had just slapped Adora right across the face. Though she wasn't sure why she did that why did she slap her own friend.

"Ow! What was that?" Adora grunted as she felt her face.

"Sorry! You were freaking out and it was freaking me out!" Catra apologised in a panicked way.

"Well, you didn't have to slap me!" Adora exclaimed still feeling the sting in her face.

"Come on, let's get you outside, you need some air." Catra suggested as she pulled her running down the hallway.

"No, Catra, I don't need.." Before she could finished the whole world around her glitched and before she knew it she found herself sitting the roof of one of the buildings in the Fright Zone. This was hers and Catra's favourite spot as kids. It had a great view.

"Air." Adora said and she was startled. She looked to see Catra sitting crosslegged next to her. "How did we get here?"

"We climbed up…like we always do. Don't you remember?" Catra told her and she was starting to feel a little worried for her.

"I don't know what's happening to me." Adora confessed. "It's like I'm losing my mind."

"You just need to relax." Catra assured her.

"Yeah… Yeah, you're probably right." Adora said but still crouched her arms and legs together. "I'm…I'm fine. Everything's fine."

All was not fine though, Adora looked at Catra who was looking out at the view.

The scene suddenly flash at Adora being stabbed in her abdomen and seeing Catra's smirking face next to her. "Hey Adora."

"what if I told you that nothing was as it seems." Bens voice echoed.

The scene then revealed Catra giving a sadistic grin at the portal controls before it changed back to normal. She then took a brief moment to feel her abdomen for any signs of a wound.

"Teh of course I'm right." Catra scoffed as she stood up and walked along the roof to lean on a rail still looking out at the view. "Everything's perfect. Soon, the two of us are gonna be ruling Etheria together, just like we always planned." They both gazed out at the view.

Things were perfect, however Adora wasn't so sure. Sure she was with her friend who she grew up with, but something still didn't feel right. Almost as if, she wasn't where she was meant to be.

"Is that what you really want? To rule the world?" Adora questioned.

Catra was taken aback by that question. I—I mean, yeah, obviously… Isn't that what you want, too?" She said with some doubt in her voice.

This did make Adora question herself was ruling a planet really what she wanted, just at that moment she had another flash of the real world Catra leaping and slashing her claws at her. Then another flash of her slashing Ben right across the face and his bleeding cut haunting her mind.

"I don't know." Adora answered. "I..I honestly don't know.I thought it was but…i..its like I'm meant to be somewhere else….someone else."

"Don't flake out on me now. This is what we always wanted." Catra told her but Adora was too busy turning her gaze back to the view. "Everything will be perfect as long as we stay together." Their surroundings began to crack and glitch with light as the Fright Zone was fading in and out of reality as the degeneration gets worse.

"What if we don't stay together? What if it all goes wrong?" Adora questioned as she saw more and more of reality glitching again and again. "Why can't you see that?!" She exclaimed standing up and looking out.

"Adora!" Catra said holding her hand in comfort. "Stay with me, okay? You're just seeing things. It's all in your head." She assured her, they looked out and it seemed everything was as it was before.

"Adora! Catra!" They heard Lonnie call to them and they looked to the lower level and saw her Kyle and Rogelio below. "Thought we'd find you up there. Get down here! We got big news."

Suddenly the world glitched and Adora found herself and Catra on the lower level with the others. This took her completly by surprise. "What?" She breathed as she looked back to her favourite vantage point.

"Okay, okay." Lonnie said excitedly getting their attention. "We just got word, we're being sent to Salineas tonight." The whole world was glitching around them coming apart at the seems.

"But they said at the briefing that's not for another week?" Adora said stuttering. While the three Horde Cadets just looked at each other confused.

"Adora? It's been a week." Lonnie said, the glitching was getting worse and suddenly the Fright Zone turned from a sunset to a gloomy looking night.

"No." Adora was on the brink of losing her mind, and she was beginning to see through the illusion she had been blinded by. She clutched her head feeling the pain of so many memories that were either out of place or not real.

"Adora?" Catra tried but Adora cried out in pain.

"I know this is wrong, can't you see it?!" Adora cried clutching her head. "My memories don't match, we're jumping around, things are disappearing, it's like time and space aren't working right." Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio all looked at each other with the same expression, was Adora going mad? "And I…"

"Adora, stop it." Catra told her. "Stop!" She shouted but it was futile. Adora closed her eyes and remembered more. She saw a brief glimpse of Mara's hologram which then flashed to a memory of the portal machine that set all of this in motion.

"Mara! Portal. I think I remember." Adora cried. "None of this is right." Her memories showed her meeting Razz at a First Ones Ruin looking up at the holo projection of stars in the skies above Etheria. "We're not supposed to be here."

"Adora! Everything's okay." Catra tried to tell her to calm her down.

"Stop saying that!" Adora yelled pulling away from Catra before seeing a brief memory of her and Swift Wind and Bright Moon."This isn't right! Everyone keeps telling me everything is perfect, but it's not." Then suddenly she sees another memory, it is of a certain shapeshifter looking at her smiling, then another appeared of her training with someone in combat it was a certain Revonnahgander. Seeing these memories she looked in realisation and clarity.

A lone tear ran down her face. "Ben…Rook." She breathed. "I need to…" When she turned round she saw her friends were still standing there but. They weren't moving, not one eye blink or anything. Adora looked at them and took a closer look at Catra.

"Catra…" She said but got no response. "Catra?" She then snapped her fingers to try and get her to snap out of it.

"Oh I am afraid they can't hear you at least for the moment." Adora jumped in fright as she turned round to see a man dressed in steampunk clothing standing behind her.

"AH! Who..who are you how did you get here!" Adora exclaimed.

"Hello Adora it is so nice to meet you." Paradox greeted. "Is this the first time we've met or is it the second it's so hard to tell."

This took her aback completely. "How…how do you know my name?"

"Oh I've met you before but you haven't met me yet my dear, or was it your predecessor I met before? For now let's just say as a protector of space and time there is a great many things I know especially about your other." Paradox explained. "She-Ra."

"She..She-Ra?" Adora questioned but then she saw another memory of her alter ego and having seen her face it all became clear. "She..she's me isn't she?"

"Gum ball?" Paradox offered her a gum ball from his bag of sweets.

"Ah thanks."Adora accepted it not wanting to be rude. "I'm sorry but who are you?"

"Oh yes my name is Paradox, Professor Paradox, and I am known by a mutual acquaintance of ours who is currently rotting in the Horde prison."

"Ben!" Adora realised.

"Ah good so you've managed to break through the illusion of this warped reality jolly good." Paradox said just then he suddenly glitched.

"Hey you okay?" Adora asked worried.

"I will be fine but I only have a moment so I'll let Ben and Rook fill you in on the details." Paradox explained before he reached into his coat and pulled out Rooks Proto Tool. "Oh and be sure to take this, Rook will be missing it." He handed it to Adora who took it from him.

"Now if your going to reach them in time you will have to have already left." Paradox said looking at his gauntlet. "Here we go!" In one flash of light they disappeared.

To then reappear in a hallway close to the prison blocks. Adora was disoriented by the whole experience. "Whoa, what the how did we get here?" She asked.

"That my dear is the miracle of time travel for you." Paradox said. "Now hurry along there's no time to lose!" Realising this was serious Adora did as she said and hurried down the hall.

"Oh one more thing Adora!" She turned back to Paradox.

"Do not blame yourself for the choices of others, for when the time comes you will learn to seize your own destiny." Paradox smiled.

Although Adora had absolutely no clue what Paradox was talking about she did give him a grateful smile as she ran away into the distance as Paradox disappeared once more.

Prison cells:

Things were looking grim. Rook looked out and saw the time and space distortions of the collapsing reality were only getting worse. Ben however was too busy looking at the Omnitrix, completely deep in thought about something.

"When X meets the tip of the sword?" He said to himself, he was reminiscing on the clue that Paradox left for him. "Ugh Paradox and his cryptic clues."

However, in someway Ben began to understand what most of the clue meant. He looked at the Omnitrix and realised that in this desperate crisis there was one among his aliens that could undo all of this. One he'd locked away long ago but he hesitated in using it.

"Ben?" He looked to Rook who looked a little concern. "I sense you have something on your mind."

Ben sighed knowing he couldn't keep much from his partner. "Rook I need you to be straight with me." He began rather grimly. "How desperate are we really going to get before this gets any worse?"

This was a rather startling question, but when Rook saw how Ben was pondering over the Omnitrix he realised what or rather who he was referring to. "It is true that he would have the power to restore reality without sealing the portal." Rook voiced. "But there still exists the hope that we can find the portal and seal it. Besides you yourself said you would not use that transformation unless all options were exhausted."

"I know." Ben said as he looked down at the Omnitrix. "But…I mean gah!" He thumped the wall of the cell with his fist with a bang. "I..I just can't believe we finally get back to Earth and just like that its taken away! We were with our families and..and just like that its all gone, and..I..I'd give anything to get them all back I mean wouldn't you?" He asked his parter nearly on the verge of a meltdown.

"Yes I would." Rook said in some anger of his own. "I would do everything in my power to see they were restored! But we have not lost hope yet and if we admit a situation is beyond hope then we have already failed." He reminded him as he knelt down to him. "I understand the power he possesses but you made the responsible choice to not use it lightly as it comes at a price."

Taking a minute to clam down Ben looked to him. "So, not that desperate, at least not yet." He breathed. "Sorry pal I just…I feel like this world is messing with my head." He felt the side of his head.

Rook nodded in understanding before he stood up and gave a determined pose. "Now I do not know about you but I believe we have languished in this cell long enough would you not agree?"

The answer came in the form of Bens confident smirk as he activated the Omnitrix. Seconds later a green flash of light emerged from the cell. Once it faded a blue intangible shape of two individuals emerged from the cell and it was revealed to be Big Chill and Rook.

"Brr." Rook shivered given how cold this form was when he turned intangible. "I still believe we could have shorted out the barrier?"

"Where's the fun in that?" Big Chill shrugged. "Besides we gotta sneak around the base somehow right?" Rook could hardly argue with that logic as the Necrofridgien's capabilities would do well here.

"Assuming we can sneak past Hordak how would we gain access to his inner sanctum from here?" Rook asked.

"Say please." Suddenly they looked to see. Adora standing in front of them with Rooks weapon in hand. The two were surprised and then Adora slowly approached Big Chill.

"Hold up!" Big Chill said prompting her not to come any closer. "Tell me something I know only you would know. A dark secret I've never told anyone?"

To answer Adora motioned for him to come closer so curiously he did he leaned in and Adora whispered in his ear. "I know all about the Big Chill babies. Mommy." She smirked teasingly.

When she pulled away Big Chill looked at her in complete disbelief and had what looked to be an emotional look or what his species would consider and emotional look. The Omnitrix suddenly timed out and reverted him back to Ben who had a looked at Adora in emotional joy as did Rook.

"Y…you remember!" Ben breathed.

"Yeah…I…I remember." Adora said nearly on the verge of tears. "Ben Tennyson." Without hesitation Ben pulled her into a hug which she was more than happy to return and Rook couldn't help but join in this emotional hug their friend had seen through the illusion.

"Welcome back Adora." Rook smiled as they broke the hug.

"Thanks Rook, oh and I think you're gonna need this." Adora said handing him his weapon which he gladly accepted in return.

"So what do you remember?" Ben asked.

"I…Not much. But I remember you guys and there was…Mara…portal and nothing much." Adora said. "But a friend of yours said you'd fill in the blanks." She then showed him a gum ball which told them she'd met a certain Time Walker.

"Paradox." Ben breathed. "You sly devil! Okay well long story short when Catra opened the portal in the real world it created this well portal reality making it look like a perfect world." Ben explained.

"But in actual fact it is an illusion to ensnare those inside it, we awoke on Earth with very little memory of Etheria under the illusion we returned to Earth from the mission that brought us here." Rook continued. "However with Shock Rocks and Professor Paradox's help we broke through the illusion."

"Wait so…you guys were on Earth? Your home?" Adora said amazed.

"Yeah. We were." Ben said in a grieving tone telling Adora something was wrong. "But…they're all gone everyone we ever knew along with our entire planet."

Adora looked horrified to hear all of this. "But..but how?"

"Paradox informed us that this reality is collapsing in on itself, once it does everyone and everything will be erased from existence until there is nothing left of reality itself." Rook explained.

"Wait…the glitches and how a day turns into a week?" Adora suddenly began to realise. "Or even things being out of place?"

"That is the dimension deteriorating at an increasing rate. Unless we can find the portal and seal it this world will suffer the same fate as the Earth."

"Catra…" Adora breathed when suddenly she had a flashback to her being stabbed and Catra opening the portal. "…She…she stabbed me! And…she she opened the portal."

"Yep." Ben said while hiding his hateful eyes at the very mention of that sociopathic cat girl.

"So if we find the portal we can fix this!" Adora realised."It was opened in Hordaks sanctum, we've gotta go there now!"

"Right and if we're gonna get there in time." Ben said as he activated the Omnitrix and dialled in an alien. "We gotta XLR8!" He slammed down the dial but instead of XLR8 he transformed into Fasttrack his second alien speedster.

He looked at himself. "Or Fasttrack that works to!" He groaned. But without further delay he picked up Adora and Rook and zoomed away just as the prison began to glitch and deteriorate.

A blue, green and black blur zoomed through all the hallways of the Fright Zone, the trio were trying to reach Hordak's sanctum. Adora directed Fasttrack as they rushed through. The trouble was the Fright Zone was a complete maze.

"Take this next right, then turn left the next hallway should lead us there." Adora called and so Fasttrack raced in that direction.

Not to far away Scorpia was walking down the hall looking through a stack of papers. All seemed quiet when suddenly she heard a strange humming sound, it sounded like it was coming down the hallway ahead. It was getting louder and as she squinted her eyes. "What the…"

*SLAM!* A fast object crashed right into her and the group were all piled on the floor as the papers floated to the ground.

"Ugh…I really gotta work on stopping." Fasttrack groaned before the Omnitrix timed out and changed him back to Ben. The group all stood up and then looked to see a groaning Scorpia as she sat up from the floor, and saw Ben, Rook and Adora in front of her.

"Scorpia?" Adora and Ben said surprised.

"Oh great, its you again." Scorpia said to Adora glaring as she stood up. "And what's the big idea running over me? Also who are these guys?"

"Wait wait, you don't like Adora?" Ben asked.

"Uh no for some reason I'm not sure why." Scorpia then said.

"Huh well that tracks not quite the same as being jealous but okay." Ben shrugged. "Still its good to see you."

"I'm sorry do I know you?" Scorpia asked.

"Of course you do its me Ben and your Scorpia, a Force Captain and a Princess plus the only decent one in the Horde. I saved you from falling off a bridge once!" Ben explained. "Your also the most friendliest in the Horde."

Scorpia couldn't help but chuckle at that a little flattered. "Oh heh okay thats sweet and all but I don't recall you rescuing me from anything before?" She said. "But I don't know why but you kinda look familiar you and the tall blue guy." She pointed her pincer claw at Rook.

"My name is Rook Blonko." Rook said a little annoyed but as they talked Adora suddenly realised something, namely about the Scorpi Force Captain that was standing before them now.

"You don't think things are perfect either!" She realised getting right into Scorpia's face.

"Whoa! Ever hear of personal space? I happen to take it very seriously." Scorpia said a little indignant pushing her away. "And also, …what are you talking about?"

Ben suddenly realised it too. "Wait…you said I looked familiar right?" Ben asked her.

"Uh..so?" Scorpia asked. It seemed clear she wasn't seeing through the illusion either then an idea hit Bens head.

"Well does this look familiar?" Ben asked as he activated the Omnitrix and one flash of light later he was transformed into.

"SCORPATTACK!" He proclaimed this put a look of shock on Scorpia's face.

"Whoa! Okay how did you do that? Why the heck do you look like me? How the hell do you look like me? Well a guy me anyway?" Scorpia then asked.

"Well do you remember going to Princess Prom?" Rook then asked. Which did make Scorpia look a little hurt.

"NO! I..I haven't been I…" Scopria suddenly started having memories of her at Princess Prom that was being held at the Kingdom of Snows she was eating snacks off the snack table and enjoying herself. Until she snapped back to reality. "I..I don't get invited to princess things…do I?"

To Rook and Scorpattack this told them they were starting to get through to her. Adora saw this too. "Scorpia listen!" Adora said getting her attention. "Things aren't right! You must feel it, too. I'm not sure why yet, but I'm starting to remember. My friends and I need to get into Hordak's sanctum and you need to help us." She said gripping the Etherian Scopri's shoulders.

"Hordak's sanctum." Scopria pushed her away chuckling. "I'm not sure if you know, but no one is allowed in there without express permission. I mean, this is basic stuff." She chuckled again. "Are you sure you're qualified to be a Force Captain?"

"Scorpia it is imperative we reach Hordaks sanctum too much is at stake!" Rook explained.

"Listen something happened all of my memories stop in Hordak's sanctum. Its where…where the portal was opened and if we don't get to it soon we're all doomed that's where I have to go to fix things!"Adora explained turning her back.

"Uh where we have to go to fix things." Scorpattack corrected. Putting his claw on her shoulder.

Scorpia however looked at them like they were crazy. "Okay, Adora, I totally hear you. You and your uh strange friends. Everything's gonna be fine." She slowly raised up her stinger ready to sting both Adora and Scorpattack. "In fact, I think I know some nice people who can help if you just…"

Suddenly a humming noise stopped her advance and she looked to Rook aiming his Proto Tool at her with a serious look. "I would not advise that if I were you Scorpia." Suddenly Scorpattack grabbed her tail.

"Were you seriously about to sting us?" Scorpattack realised.

"Well yeah your starting to freak me out!" Scopria exclaimed.

"Scorpia, you have to remember something." Adora urged her. "Tell us you remember. Everyone's acting like things are perfect, except for you… Even Catra is…"

"Catra." Scorpia said and suddenly she had a flashback to her and Catra cuddling under a blanket in the Northern Reach before snapping back to reality.

The look on her face told the group everything. "You…you do remember don't you." Adora realised.

"No, I…" Suddenly she has another flash back but this time it was what happened before the portal opened Catra stunned Entrapta with a stun stick before the scene changed to her threatening Scorpia with it.

"All Hordak needs to know is Entrapta betrayed us! I have come too far for this to be taken from me now and I will silence anyone who gets in my way! GOT IT!" Catra's voice echoed before snapping back to reality.

I mean, I-I don't know." Scorpia stuttered still reeling from that. "And Catra she..she was just scared, she didn't mean to…"

"Mean to what?" Rook asked her which suddenly got their attention. Scorpattacks most of all.

"She…I..I don't know why she would." Scorpia suddenly started hyperventilating like she was panicking. Just then she felt some pincers on her shoulder and looked to Scorpattack.

"Scorpia!" He said before he looked at her. "Breath…just breath." He said calmly and this seemed to work Scorpia slowly started to calm down. "Thats it, now tell us slowly."

"She…she stunned Entrapta." Scorpia breathed much to everyones shock. "She she was..saying something about the portal and how it was too dangerous and…and she stunned her."

"She must've figured out we were right about what would happen if the portal was opened!" Adora suddenly realised.

"Yet her ignorance would not let her see reason, so she decided to make sure Entrapta could not tell Hordak what she had discovered." Rook pieced it together.

Scorpattack gave an angered breath. "I should've known that Entrapta was a spy story was a bunch of crap!" He growled. "She just didn't want her to get in her way just like everyone else! All of this all those people lost just to prove something!" He was getting even more angry than before.

Adora could see something was wrong with him and based on what she'd learned she knew why. "Ben!" She said holding his pincer claw. "Its okay we're going to make this right." This seemed to help calm him down.

"Guys wha…what is going on? I keep-I keep forgetting things." Scorpia said holding her papers against her head. "This… This is all wrong. How did we get here?"

"Catra opened the portal creating a reality that is currently tearing itself apart." Rook explained. "If we do not reach Hordak's sanctum soon and seal the portal us and everything else will be erased from existence forever."

"Wha..what?" Scorpia said confused.

"Scorpia! This world we're in isn't real, its an illusion of what we might wish it could be. But life isn't this simple we may wish it is sometimes but it isn't always easy." Scorpattack said to her. "But we can still stop all of this."

"He's have to get to Hordak's sanctum." Adora told her then suddenly as if on cue another glitch carried them to another hallway which coincidentally was right outside the door to where they needed to go.

"HOW DID WE GET HERE?" Scorpia exclaimed seeing where they were.

"It is the reality deteriorating around us time is out of synch as is the space around us." Rook explained.

"What?" Scopria questioned.

"Just go with it, okay?" Adora insisted.

"At least this time its taken us to where we need to go." Scorpattack pointed out seeing the doors to the inner sanctum. Which was being watched by two Horde Troopers.

"We need to get past those guards." Adora said.

"Ben perhaps Chamalien could be of use here?" Rook suggested.

"My thoughts exactly." Scorpattack said as he tapped the Omnitrix on his belt changing him into Chamalien which startled Scorpia a little but for some reason she felt she'd seen this before.

Without another word Chamalien turned invisible and slithered along the wall with his chameleon like abilities. However, Scorpia was scared stiff of the very idea of sneaking into her masters inner sanctum just to find some portal.

"Oh, man, this is a bad plan! What happens if we get caught?" Adora and Rook quickly pushed her back to avoid being seen. "We are so fired!" She whispered in a panic.

"Shush!" Adora shushed her but Scorpia just shushed her back. This went back and fourth until they eventually started swatting at each other.

"Oh dear." Rook sighed seeing they would get caught. He decided to put a stop to this. "Will you two cease and desist this nonsense!" He managed to get in-between them. "Honestly it is like dealing with Young Ones back on Revonnah this is no time for squabbling!"

"She started it!" Scorpia hissed.

"I do not care who started it I am finishing it so. BOTH STAND TO ATTENTION AND BE SILENT BEFORE WE GET CAUGHT DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!" Rook then shouted like a commanding officer to his troops surprising both Scorpia and Adora.

"Uh yes sir!" They stood to attention, while Adora was cursing her conscripted upbringing as a soldier. However Rook didn't realise how loud he just spoke because then.

"Hey! What are you doing here? Hands up!" They looked to see the Horde Troopers twirl their staffs training them on the three of them. Scorpia quickly covered her eyes with her claws.

However before they could some invisible force grabbed one guards staff jabbing it into her gut before it swatted her across the head. The other guard looked startled and stood in place shaking as he held his staff at the ready.

"Who…who's there!" He demanded just shaking there so much so you could hear his bones shaking. Just then a tail tapped his shoulder prompting him to turn round and see Chamalien behind him waving at him.

"Hello there!" he said before he swung his tail right in the guards face took his taser stick and struck him in the chest. The shock knocked him out cold.

"AH! Scorpia screamed. "I am so fired!"

"Scorpia please calm down!" Rook said.

"He's right. You need to focus. None of that matters." Adora said.

"I don't like this." Scorpia sobbed in panic.

"Join the club sister." Chamalien said suddenly they heard a glitching sound from behind them and when they turned round. The door to the Sanctum was gone, nothing but a blank wall.

"Uh, wasn't there a door here just a second ago?" Scopria questioned.

Adora felt the wall. "Things are disappearing. It's getting worse!"

"Indeed it is just as we saw at Plumber Head Quarters, but remember this world is an illusion and as it deteriorates it strives to prevent us from escaping it." Rook said.

But Chamalien had, had just about enough of this reality and its cruel ways. "Alright THATS IT!" He slammed the Omnitrix dial and transformed to Armadrillo and formed his driller arm. "WE'RE GETTING TO THAT SANCTUM IF I HAVE TO TEAR THIS PLACE APART BRICK BY BRICK!" He yelled ready to knock down the wall like an enraged bulldozer. Before he could however.

Adora heard a noise, she turned and just managed to catch a glimpse of what looked like an old woman passing by. "Ben wait!" She called stopping him dead in his tracks. "There! It's that lady!" She pointed out and started running after her.

"What lady?" Scorpia asked. Just as the Omnitrix timed out reverting Armadrillo back to Ben.

"The one who says "Mara." Come on! I think she knows something." Adora called as she ran down the hallway. Ben realised who she was talking about.

"Razz." He breathed before he turned to Rook and Scorpia. "You heard her move it!" He then ran after her as too did Rook.

"Okay, that makes no sense!" Scorpia exclaimed. "But I'm gonna follow you because I don't see a lot of other options." She said as she soon followed the group.

Running down the hallways Ben and Adora were now side by side as was Rook, they looked around the halls until Rook spotted something. "There!" He pointed and they managed to catch a brief glimpse of the old lady running into the darkening hallways.

"Wait!" Adora called as they chased after her. Scorpia caught up but she was severely out of breath from chasing them.

"Oh, they're so fast…Okay." She coughed before resuming the chase.

The group ran through a door but came to a stop in a crossroads between two hallways, suddenly they heard humming in the air. It was the sound of an old woman humming to herself. However Adora was the only one who could hear it.

"Which way?" Ben asked Adora, but she wasn't sure, just then she saw some butterflies flying past her and down a hallway leading to the right which glitched slightly as they flew.

"This way!" Adora realised and they continued running down the hallway sliding down its floors until suddenly.

They had arrived, and before them was the place they were looking for. Hordak's sanctum, for the first time hope began to shine in their hearts. Only for Scorpia to arrive behind them completely out of breath.

"Why… is everyone… so… fast?" She bumped into everyone trying to catch her breath. "Whoa." Scorpia breathed before she looked up and saw they were in the inner sanctum.

"Indeed we are in the proverbial lions den as they call it." Rook realised.

"This is it." Adora realised looking to Ben and Rook before she looked to Scopria. "Come on." They entered the sanctum but looked with caution.

"I hope this works." Scorpia said.

"Its gotta work." Ben said. "Its just got to."

"It will." Adora said. "Everything will go back to normal And then Scorpia you can go back to hating me."

"Look. If you guys get us out of this, I promise I won't hate you. I will just dislike you a reasonable amount." Scorpia said to them.

"Deal." Adora said as they shook hands/claws.

"Well to be fair you disliked her a reasonable amount when you were jealous of her and Catra." Ben commented only for Adora to step on his foot to shut him up. "GAH!" So he caught up with the group.

He passed by one of the clone test tubes in the lab which all but creeped him out. "Yeesh even in this reality Hordak has some creepy hobbies."

However when they arrived in the heart of Hordak's lab, they were in for a very large shock. "No. No, no…" Adora panicked.

The room was completely empty, no portal, no sword no nothing. Ben, Adora and Rook were the most horrified of all they risked their lives to get here only to find there was nothing.

"This can't be right. It was here, it was right here. Where is it?!" Adora said panicked as she saw a memory of the portal being in the room. They all scanned the room.

"No..no thi…this cant be!" Ben exclaimed. "Whe…where is the portal i..its gotta be here! Paradox said it would be here!"

"I…I do not know." Rook breathed in horror. "There…there must be…"

"No! This is not happening it can't be happening it can't be!" Ben yelled in a mixture of panic and anger.

"Ben."Adora said to him greatly saddened herself.

"Thi…this this cant have been for nothing! We…we've come too far we've lost too much to be stopped now! What did we miss? There…there has to be something with Paradox there always is!" Ben panicked kneeling to the floor as tears formed in his eyes and Scorpia looked heart broken, for some reason she couldn't understand.

"I..I could turn into Clockwork maybe I could turn back time..Or…or even…" "BEN!" Adora said interrupting him as she knelt down in front of him and held his face seeing his tear stained eyes.

"Breathe." She said calmly to him. "Just breathe." So Ben did that he took several deep breaths in and out again and he began to calm down. "Its gonna be okay…you were there for me now I'm here for you. We're going to figure this out."

Ben calmed himself and rubbed his eyes to wipe his tears. "Th…Thanks Adora."

"She is right Ben, we cannot give up now." Rook said. "This will not help now you must keep your emotions in check."

"Yeah, I mean aren't you the guy who sees there's always another way and helps people even your enemies." Scorpia said.

"Y..yeah thanks guys…I..I just I nearly lost it then." Ben said chuckling as Adora helped him to his feet.

"Okay we know this was where the portal opened…when…" Suddenly Adora had a flashback to the portal and it was of Catra pulling the lever that activated it setting all of this in motion.

"When Catra opened the portal, when she captured us and…" She then had a memory of a certain sword she found in the Whispering Woods as it shimmered in the light above. "the sword." She breathed.

"Sword?" Scorpia questioned.

"The sword. There's supposed to be a sword." Adora explained faintly remembering it. My sword. When…when I'm She-Ra." She realised.

"That is right!" Rook realised. "Hordak and Entrapta utilised the sword to complete the portal."

"Because it's the key to the whole planet!" Ben remembered. "Just like Mara said in her message in the Wastes!" Adora began to remember again, she saw a flashback of Mara's message in the Crimson Wastes and how she activated it with the Sword of Protection.

"Mara…she..she was the She-Ra before me!" She realised. "She hid Etheria in Despondos by opening a portal with the sword! But it's gone." But as she thought about it she suddenly realised. "Its in the portal!"

Ben began to piece it all together. "If the sword is the key…a key doesn't just open things…it…it can close them too!"

"Of course!" Rook realised snapping his fingers. "If the sword could be utilised to open the portal maybe it can seal it!"

"Thats why we're here we need to find it!" Adora said. However before they could do anything a certain chittering alerted them to a certain someones imminent presence. They gasped in horror.

"Someone is coming!" Rook exclaimed.

"Quick, hide!" Scorpia gasped and they hid behind one of the control consoles.

For stepping into the sanctum from the ever consuming shadows was a pair of glaring red eyes and metal footsteps as Hordak entered his domain. Imp glided over to the control console and started sniffing the air around him while Adora, Ben, Rook and Scorpia tried to stay had his hand close to the Omnitrix in case he needed to transform for a quick getaway. Hordak looked towards the console, the suspense could put the Nazgul scene from Lord of the Rings to shame.

Hordak soon took his leave from the lab and his pet followed close behind. The group breathed a sigh of relief realising they'd been holding their breath the whole time

"That was close." Scorpia breathed.

"Way too close, that was just as scary as the last time I saw him!" Ben breathed in agreement.

*SCREEEEE!* Suddenly Imp appeared in front of them making them scream. "GO GO GO GO!" Ben exclaimed as they ran from the room as the small Imp screeched even louder to alert his master. While running Rook's Proto Tool on his shoulder flipped its front and fired an energy rope tying the little creature up just as he did in the normal reality.

"Even in this reality that creature is annoying!" Rook their greatest horror was soon cracking around them. For then they saw the seems of reality cracking apart the room around them.

They ran down the hallway with the cracks in reality close behind them. "What is happening?! I don't understand what is going on!" Scorpia yelled very terrified as reality collapsed around them.

"Scorpia come on just keep running!" Ben called to her.

However she was falling behind and the light was drawing ever closer. "Guys, wait! Wait up!" She cried but it was too late she was absorbed by the portal and in a flash of light she was gone.

The group stopped and saw that she was no longer there, nor was the cracks in reality. They gasped in horror. "Scorpia!" Adora called but got no response. "Scorpia!"

"No.."Ben breathed. "No…not again!" Scorpia had such a good heart she didn't deserve this.

"Wha…what's happened to her?" Adora asked.

"The collapse of this reality it…it has erased Scorpia from existence." Rook breathed in horror. "Just…just like what happened to our families to…to our home."

Adora looked in horror was she really gone from existence forever? Ben just clenched his fist in anger. "Just another thing Catra's gonna answer for!" He said angrily to himself.

"Th…thats what's going to happen to us if we don't find the portal!" Adora breathed suddenly their grief was interrupted as they turned and saw the cracks in reality coming from the hallway.

"Adora come on we have to keep moving!" Instinctively Ben grabbed Adora's hand and pulled her away running as did Rook.

They soon found themselves outside and it looked like the whole complex was collapsing all around them. The degeneration of the portal was spreading like wildfire causing earthquakes. The group narrowly avoided any falling debris one pipe was about to land on their heads, but Rook quickly drew his weapon and fired it destroying it mid air.

"We need to get to my truck!" Rook exclaimed. "This entire area is coming apart!"

Adora suddenly tripped but Ben helped her to her feet and they saw a way back inside. "There that should lead us back to the junk yard!" Adora exclaimed but before they reach it they turned and saw the old lady Madame Razz just walking there.

"Wait! Adora yelled and she ran after her. Prompting Ben and Rook to follow.

"Why, hello, Mara, dearie!" Razz said finally seeing them. "Oh and I see you brought your friends along."

"Who are you? Why do I know you? What are you doing in the Fright Zone?" Adora asked her.

"Adora, this is Madame Razz!" Ben explained. "She was the old lady you met when you first got the sword, she helped me find you after we rescued our friends!"

Adora tried to remember this concentrating hard and it wasn't long before she saw her meeting Madame Razz in the Whispering Woods, and how she helped her rescue Swift Wind from the Horde.

"M…Madame Razz? I..I remember you now!" She realised.

"I am glad to see it dearie and you have found yourself again." Razz said before she looked to Ben. "By the way thank you for giving her that message dearie."

"So it was you who gave that to me!" Ben realised. "But how did you know where we were?"

"Oh…" She then reached into her robe and pulled out something that Ben really did not expect. A gum ball. "Lets just say an old friend told me."

The Omnitrix bearers mind was completely blown. "Wait…you know Professor Paradox!" Rook and Adora were also completely surprised by this revelation.

"Oh yes we go way way back." Razz said. "But I'm afraid our time is short but all is not lost." She looked to Adora. "You and your friends can still fix it. There's still time!"

A sink hole suddenly consumed a skiff and divided the ground between them all as the light from the dimensional collapse horizon was ripping open. "Get back!" Ben exclaimed as they jumped back and grabbed onto the rubble around them.

"Find me in the woods, dearie!" Razz called to them before she disappeared behind the rubble. The trio quickly climbed back up again and they were suddenly met by Lonnie.

"Adora! Adora, where have you been?!" Lonnie asked her before she noticed her companions. "Wait who are those guys?"

"They're my friends. Lonnie, we have to get out of here. Where are Kyle and Rogelio?" Adora asked pulling on her hand only for Lonnie to pull it away.

"Who?" She asked much to a startled Adora, but Ben and Rook had seen this before.

"You know the skinny guy and that Lizard guy with seriously bad breath?" Ben tried to remind her.

"Your teammates and fellow cadets?" Rook tried but nothing seemed to register with her at all.

"Our… friends since we were kids. Where are they?" Adora asked in a panicked tone.

Lonnie tried to remember them but she just couldn't. "Uh…I don't remember… I think… I think they're gone?" She said which all but confirmed their fears it they too had been absorbed by the portal as well.

"No." Adora breathed in horror suddenly the ground exploded behind them causing Lonnie to jump in fright. The portal's was closing in on them ever faster.

"What is going on?!" Lonnie exclaimed.

"This whole area is collapsing and soon we will be erased from existence if we do not evacuate now!" Rook explained in yelling.

"What?!" Lonnie exclaimed.

"Come on!" Adora yelled pulling her by the shoulder as the group ran for their lives. The light was catching up to them, acting quickly Ben activated the Omnitrix and slammed down on the dial transforming him into Astrodactyl firing up his jetpack.

"Grab on!" He yelled and so Adora, Rook and Lonnie grabbed onto his arms for dear life and blasted forwards towards the door.

"Its catching up!" Lonnie exclaimed.

"Rook the door controls!" Adora yelled to him. Rook quickly aimed his Proto Tools grappling line at the door controls and fired it, the hook struck the button so hard it made the doors open.

Seeing his opening Astrodactyl poured on the booster almost like a boom they blasted forwards as the light was getting closer and closer almost enveloping Lonnie's ankle.

They zoomed through the door crashing to the ground, but Adora recovered quickly and slammed the controls on the wall sealing the door before the light consumed them.

"That was…cutting it awfully close?" Rook asked.

"Yeah, it is a day for close calls." Astrodactyl squarked as he caught his breath. Adora panted heavily.

"We made it." She panted. "Lonnie, we have to…" However as she looked to her friends Lonnie was nowhere to be seen. "Where…where's Lonnie?!"

Astrodactyl and Rook looked around but couldn't see her anywhere. In horror they came to only one conclusion. "That…thats impossible I…I was holding her we..we got away!" Astrodactyl said in horror.

Adora looked greatly hurt. In her anger she yelled and slammed her fists on the door pounding them in absolute rage. "WHY!" She yelled. She was about to hit the door again until.

"Adora stop!" She looked and saw Astrodactyl who looked at her with a grieving look. "I'm sorry, you did what you could." But it didn't stop Adora looking back in horror and sadness.

"My deepest sympathies." Rook said. "But we cannot linger here any longer." Realising he was right Adora got back on track.

"Where's your Truck Rook?" She asked.

"It is hidden in the junk yard." Rook replied.

"Thats assuming it hasn't been erased from reality yet." Astrodactyl chimed in before tapping the Omnitrix and changing him back to Ben.

"Yes assuming it has not been erased from reality." Rook then said. "Is there a route we can take to get there?"

"Yes this way there should be some tunnels leading back there." Adora then said. "Lets go!" So the trio hurried down the hallways alone again, with the cracks in reality getting ever closer consuming all in their path.

"We have to find Catra!" Adora suddenly said.

"Wait what?!" Ben yelled as they ran along.

"Catra!" Rook yelled.

"No way! She's the reason this is all happening!" Ben exclaimed to her.

"I'm not leaving her behind!" Adora said very seriously but all Ben could do was bare an angered frown, there was no way he was saving the one responsible for this.

"Ben!" Rook called to him. "Even if she does not remember all she did, she is still in danger!"

"Yeah and if I remember don't we heroes save the lives of friends and foes?" Adora questioned Ben was still silent as they ran. She realised what he and Rook had already gone through, and what they lost because of what she did.

But in the end Bens sense of duty won over his personal feelings. "Okay let's find her before I change my mind!" He said still a little angry but Adora gave a grateful smile.

Luckily it didn't take long to find her. She was talking with some Horde Cadets and having a laugh.

"Catra!" Adora called getting her attention.

"Adora.." Before Catra could reply Adora grabbed her by the arm and pulled her aside. Rook quickly hit the door controls opening a small room, they entered it leaving the confused cadets outside.

"Plumber business, return to your posts." Rook simply said to them before the door closed behind him.

"Hey! You've officially lost it, haven't you?!" Catra exclaimed angrily, and it was then she noticed Ben and Rook behind her friend. "Wait, why are those guys out of their cell?"

"Listen, we have to go. Now! Scorpia, Lonnie, Kyle, Rogelio, they're all gone!" Adora exclaimed.

"What are you talking about? Who's gone?" Catra asked not even remembering them because of the collapsing reality around them.

"Our teammates! Our friends! They're gone! There's nothing left." Adora exclaimed. "And we'll be next if we don't get out of here right now."

"You're not making any sense." Catra groaned in a huff. "Everything's fine, okay? It's…"

Ben angrily turned her around to face her. "Don't even dare say everything's perfect!" He growled. "Its not perfect! Nothing is perfect so don't kid yourself into thinking it is!"

Adora started to get a little worried, she'd never once seen Ben being this intense before. Rook could see all too well that what happened to Earth was affecting him and now they were with the individual responsible. It took all his emotional strength to not lose his cool.

"He's right Catra I know it's not perfect and I think you do too!" Adora exclaimed. In that moment Catra had a brief flashback to when the portal opened it made her flinch. Before more memories of her stabbing Adora in the back and smirking before she pulled the switch. She was brought back to reality.

"You've gone crazy." Catra said turning to her. "I'm not going anywhere with you or these people." This was going nowhere fast, and they had very little time to convince her. Just then Ben noticed a crate of taser sticks in the room.

"Catra.." Adora tried but suddenly Ben pushed her aside and approached Catra.

"Hey what are you?" Before Catra knew it she felt a surge of electricity blaze through her before she collapsed. Adora quickly caught her. She saw Ben was the one who shocked her with the sizzling taserstick. He was breathing heavily and his eyes filled with anger.

"We don't have time for this." Ben breathed in anger dropping the taser. "Now lets go!" He exclaimed as he opened the door, Adora was even more worried than before.

"What..what has happened to him?" She asked Rook. "I've never seen Ben this intense before?"

Rook sighed. "He is angry Adora, he is taking the loss of his family and our friends to this collapsing world more than he is willing to admit." He explained. "And now he is helping to save the one who caused this." He looked to Catra. "I too have mixed feelings about this as well as the loss of my own family but as a Plumber I choose to put my feelings aside for the sake of the mission. But Adora as your friend I must tell you this, I understand Catra was your friend but considering her mental state when she opened the portal, should she remember there is no telling what she could do or who she could hurt." Adora listened intently to what he was saying.

"If that happens I need to know if you are willing to face her, or try and stop Ben from doing something he may regret." Rook finished. Before Adora knew it she felt something Rook placed in her hand. It looked like two small key devices on a chain but what caught her attention was they had Omnitrix symbols on them.

"Come on guys let's move it!" Ben called impatiently and so Rook hurried out of the room leaving Adora to contemplate what the Revonnahgander had said. But with no time to lose she picked Catra up bridal style and ran out of the hallway as reality was collapsing behind them.

The Fright Zone was all but doomed the cracks in reality exploded into pillars of light consuming all in its path and all around it. Until finally all was erased from existence. From the gathering light the Proto Truck flew from the event horizon all boosters blasting.

Catra was unconscious in the back while Adora and Ben stood there while Rook flew them to safety. "Head for the woods!" Adora exclaimed and Rook thrusted the truck forwards.

They soon arrived on the outskirts of the Whispering Woods flying over the trees below. All trying to outrun the growing cracks in reality. Catra began to stir from her unconscious state and saw she wasn't in the Fright Zone anymore but in the back of a ship. She looked up and saw Ben and Adora then she eyed the taser stick on her belt.

Just then. "Adora!" Ben exclaimed but Catra had already snatched the taser stick from her. Adora quickly grabbed it and tried to wrestle it back from her but they crashed into Rook causing him to hit the flight controls and the Proto-Truck was tipped into a crash dive.

The lack of gravity from the fall caused the passengers to float. Ben, Adora and Catra saw the taser stick and each made a grab for it, Adora kicked it in the air and Ben tried to grab it only for Catra to grab his leg and pull him down crashing into the Proto Trucks console.

"Gah! We have lost navigation I cannot control it!" Rook exclaimed as the ship span out of control towards the tree line.

With a grunt of effort Rook managed to pull the the ships nose up but the underside hit a tree root damaging it.

The bump caused the passengers to hit the ground, Catra saw the taser stick in front of her and grabbed it only for Adora and Ben to quickly pin her to the wall. "Catra, no!" Adora yelled as Catra pushed the sizzling stick towards her neck.

Seeing this Rook made one last effort and swerved the truck to make a hard right making it swing to its side on an angle. The wing hit the ground and snapped clean off causing the ship to crash on its side and send everyone flying onto the roof before the Truck crashed into a large tree ripping it in half. Rook in one half Ben, Adora and Catra in the other.

The three were flung from the truck half and sent rolling to the ground, and the taser stick in the middle of them.

Rook's half of the truck had crashed in a bolder pile luckily Rook himself was unharmed and managed to kick the portside window off so he could get out. He was battered with a small cut on his face that was bleeding but he was okay. He pulled out his Proto Tool and hurried to aid his friends.

Back with the others, Catra had recovered from the tumble, and so did Ben and Adora. The three of them saw the taser rod and made a desperate sprint to grab it. Catra managed to grab it but Ben kicked it out of her hands and Adora managed to get her into an arm lock.

"Catra, you can't!" Adora told her while maintaining her grip. "We need to get as far from the Fright Zone as possible or we'll be completely erased along with everything else."

"You think you can convince me by kidnapping me?!" Catra strained against her grip before she grabbed Adora's back and flung her over her shoulder. "What is wrong with you?"

Catra tried to get the taser baton only for Ben to kick it away. "What's wrong is that she's trying to save your life even though you don't deserve it!" Ben exclaimed angrily. Rook soon arrived and trained his Proto Tool on Catra.

"Do not move!" Rook warned keeping his weapon trained on her.

"Oh and you think this is helping!" Catra exclaimed.

"Catra please!" Adora tried again to reason with her. "I won't leave you behind again."

"Why can't you just stay?" Catra exclaimed. "We have everything we ever wanted. We could have it all just like we planned!"

"It's not real, Catra." Adora explained to her as she held her shoulders.. "As much as I wish that things could be simple the way they used to be, there's no going back."

Catra yelled in frustration pushing Adora away and ran but she wouldn't let her get away. "Rook stop her!" Ben exclaimed and Rook fired an electro net from his weapon which caught Catra's legs causing her to trip. She sheathed her claws and sliced the net off her ankles cutting herself free.

Before she could run Adora tackled her to the ground and they rolled down a small hill before they got up again. "Why did you do it?!" Adora said.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Catra said really confused.

"Oh I think you do!" Ben growled as he and Rook caught up with them. "You're just refusing to admit what you did! Because the truth is you're not blinded by this world's illusion you accepted it because you can't handle the real world! Because everyone either hurts or leaves you in the end!"

"That…thats…" Catra tried.

"You can deny it all you want but guess what Catra life is never easy! And it's not a game it's real, life and death!" Ben exclaimed.

Suddenly a loud boom caught the groups attention they looked and saw the event horizon was closing in and all was being erased in its wake. The trees, the flowers every living thing.

"The dimensional decay is accelerating we need to leave here now!" Rook exclaimed to the others.

"There's no time. We have to go." Adora looked to Catra. The latter just grunted and shook her head not seeing the imminent threat. She was thinking back to a promise that was made long ago.

Flashback: Years ago:

Young Adora and Catra were on their bed while a scratched Catra was under the sheets, her best friend comforted her.

"You look out for me and I look out for you." Young Adora said. "Nothing really bad can happen as long as we have each other."

"You promise?" Young Catra asked with tears in her eyes.

Present Day:

"I promise. Everything will be okay if we just stay together. Adora said to Catra who had yet another flashback to the real events that transpired at Thaymor.

Flashback:Thaymor:

The two of them were in a battle scarred Thaymor, and Adora was missing her jacket, this was the day she joined the Rebellion and became She-Ra.

"Come with me. You don't have to go back there. We can fix this." Adora said while holding Catra's hand the latter of whom was confused.

Present day:

Catra squinted as her eyes were shut seeing more painful memories that she wanted to forget. Then she had another memory from when she and Ben were separated from Adora in the beacon.

Flashback: Chapter 11:

"I don't need you or Adora to save me! I've been doing just fine on my own. No thanks to you or her!" Catra was about to leave until Ben grabbed her.

"Hey you don't think this is hard for Adora too!" He said. "She regrets leaving you! I can see it in her eyes especially when we were at the Sea Gate! But did you stop to think about why she left? She saw what the Horde was really doing and couldn't stand seeing people get hurt!"

"Oh and how is that my problem?!" Catra exclaimed.

"Really after seeing you two train together, and after getting into the highest ranks, you never thought about the Hordes true purpose?! You never once questioned the things you were being asked to do?" Ben questioned her. "And don't give me that whole who I was before didn't matter speech from Shadow Weaver because I know it's not true, you and Adora mean a lot to each other and you clearly don't like Shadow Weaver so why don't you ditch her and come with us!"

Present day:

"Help us fix this. Please!" Adora pleaded with her but Catra still had her back to her and Ben who was growing weary as he shared that same look with Rook who was ready for anything.

"This can't be what you wanted!" Adora then said.

Finally Catra snapped. "Don't you get it?! I am never going to go with you!" This made Adora step back in horror as Catra started laughing maniacally, this meant only one thing. She remembered. "You always have to go and ruin it, don't you?"

She turned her back, then suddenly. She leapt at Adora like a crazed animal. "Adora!" Ben quickly pulled her away and Catra was tackled to the side by Rook who drew his Proto Tool. Catra looked at him glaring.

"You brought this upon yourself when you opened that portal!" Rook yelled as he charged forwards all that anger he was holding back now he was using it as he swung his Proto sword at Catra who dodged and ducked under every slash and strike. She leaped over Rook and slashed him in the back.

His Proto Tech armour absorbed the strike but it left some claw marks he swung round very flexibly and kicked the feline in the gut before he grabbed her arm and pinned her to the ground. He pulled her by her head to show her face.

"LOOK! LOOK AROUND YOU!" Rook yelled showing Catra the dimensional destruction around her. "THIS IS WHAT YOUR OBSESSION HAS WROUGHT! DO YOU THINK DESTROYING ALL OF EXSISTENCE WILL PROVE ANYTHING YOU HAVE ONLY SEALED YOUR OWN DEMISE!"

Catra just gave a snarky look and chuckled. "Heh heh oh no the only one meeting his demise…" She wrapped her double jointed leg around Rooks left leg as he looked in shock. "IS YOU!" She yelled and flipped the Revonnahgander off of her and sent hurdling towards the collapsing reality.

"ROOK!" Ben yelled as he ran to his partners aid. Using the Omnitrix to transform himself into Razer Kat for agility and speed.

Adora hurried to help too only for Catra to slash at her arm cutting her and then throwing slash after psychotic slash at her again and again. Which Adora skilfully avoided. Catra kicked Adora to the ground slashing her claws prompting Adora to roll out of the way from her clawed fist as she sliced the grass.

Just as Rook was falling into the dimensional collapse. Razor Kat grabbed his hand and clawed his feet into the tree to prevent Rook from being pulled in. "I've got ya!" He cried as he put every ounce of strength into pulling his partner clear. However Rook saw the cracks in reality were drawing closer and closer and knew what would happen if they reach them.

"Let me go Ben! Save yourself!" Rook yelled.

"No!" Razor Kat yelled. "I'm not gonna do that we're partners remember!" He growled and snarled as he tried to pull Rook back from the pull caused by the rift, but it was hopeless his feet suddenly lost their grip prompting him to claw into the tree trunk with his left hand while holding onto Rook with the other. "Hang on I can still…"

"Ben!" He looked to see Rook had tears in his eyes and warm smile. The Etherian Catfolk looked confused by this expression until Rook spoke again in sobs.

"When we spoke earlier…" He said and then, he did what he had to do. He aimed his Proto Tool right at his partner much to his shock. It was then he realised what he was doing. So with an assuring smile.

"We are now that desperate"

He fired a shot striking Razer Kat in the chest making him lose his grip and Rook fell into the collapsing reality. Razer Kat looked in sure horror as the world moved in slow motion. Adora grappled with Catra as she screamed out seeing her friend sacrifice himself while her opponent just gave a sickening smirk. Razer Kat landed on his back in the grass and looked to see his Partner fading from existence completely. He was gone. The bearer of the Omnitrix was frozen in horror as tears built up in his eyes.

Adora was terror-stricken, at seeing her friends partner, was now erased from existence. Her terror soon turned to anger as she looked up at a sadistically smirking Catra.

"NOOOOOOOO!"Adora screamed and landed a solid punch to the felines face knocking her off her. Then was met with a swift kick to her gut followed by an upper cut to her chin. Adora then pinned Catra to a nearby tree.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Adora screamed with tearstained eyes.

"HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!" Catra laughed before she coiled her legs and kicked Adora away. "Oh Adora, how many times are your friends going to pay the price for your choices." She smirked. "You know Shadow Weaver didn't make me into what I am you did to always being the one to get everything she wants. All because she focused on what she wanted to now I am getting what I want and I don't care who I have to cut out to get it!"

Adora couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Then my friend is truly dead." She breathed before Catra slashed at her again.

Razor Kat just sat there breathing heavy in absolute shock. His partner, his friend and one he considered a brother sacrificed himself to save him. Flashes of his friends, and family being erased from exsistence flashed before his eyes, all the trauma he'd suffered, all the villains he'd faced he never once lost someone he cared about, and now this was happening. Suddenly however his mood changed his fist clenched on the grass at his feet he breathed growling like he was about to explode.

"No more!" He breathed before he looked up in absolute rage. This was the final thing that made him snap. "NO MORE!"

Adora continued to dodge Catra's claw slashes, she was pushed back to a tree and ducked out of the way before she sratched the tree in pure anger. In dodging the strike Adora performed a back flip striking her in the chin. Catra recovered and looked at her with rage before she leaped at her and slashed right across her chest creating a nasty scratch. Adora quickly grabbed her wrist and head butted her in the face causing her to back off.

"Catra, look what's happening! You're going to destroy everything!" Adora exclaimed seeing all of reality unravel around them. but it was pointless to reason with her.

"I don't care. I won't let you win." Catra exclaimed back smiling sadistically. "I'd rather see the whole world end than let that happen!"

"Is winning all you care about?!" Adora yelled. "Is proving your better than Shadow Weaver all you care about!? Because you know what I'm starting to think!" The two circled each other. "I think you've been so blinded by your obsession and hate that you don't know what it is you want anymore!" Catra just snarled at her.

"I know what I want! I want to see you and Shadow Weaver grovelling! When I finally conquer Etheria and take my rightful place! I won't let anyone stop me! Not you, not Shadow Weaver, not Tennyson, not Entrapta, not Scorpia and not even Hordak!" Catra yelled as reality was nearing its breaking point.

"You said you wanted to be better than Shadow Weaver?" Adora said. "Well guess what, you've become exactly like her and one day your power mongering will become your undoing!"

This resulted in Catra screaming in rage as she prepared to attack Adora again but then. She felt something grab her wrist she turned to see Razor Kat and he wasn't even looking at her.

"That was my best friend!" He growled before he looked at her in pure rage. "AND YOU JUST KILLED HIM!" He then punched Catra right across the face sending her crashing to the ground. She looked up to see Razer Kat glaring at her.

"My friends, my family, my home! All gone…BECAUSE OF YOU!" He yelled as he lunged at Catra who quickly rolled out of the way and he just slashed the grass. Before she could react Razer Kat charged at her on all fours then swung a kick right at her followed by a barrage of punches and slashes at her. Many of them grazed her face and clothing. She leaped away and threw a kick at him only for her reflection to grab her leg slam her into the ground and toss her into a tree very hard.

She coughed as she tried to regain herself. Adora looked at this fight in pure horror, it looked like Ben was really trying to hurt Catra. She saw that look in his eyes it was the same one Catra had back in the Wastes when they were captured. The look of someone who had nothing left to lose.

"When does it end Catra?!" Razer Kat growled in rage.

"It ends when I win!" Catra coughed in her own rage not even caring for all the suffering she'd caused.

"Wrong answer!" Razer Kat exclaimed. "I'll tell you when it ends!" He slammed on the Omnitrix dial and after a flash of light he was now transformed into Heatblast who bore the same look of rage.

"IT ENDS NOW!" His flames burned bright in rage and unleashed a massive blast of fire towards Catra who quickly leaped up onto the branch of a tree but the vengeful Pyronite wasn't going to let her escape that easily and so he fired fire ball after fire ball at the feline villain intending to burn her alive.

She jumped from tree to tree avoiding all of his attacks while he yelled, all the anger and rage he felt towards her was finally unleashed. Catra dodged every one of his attacks but was beginning to tire and so she fled deeper into the forest.

"YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME!" Heatblast yelled. "I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!" his rage filled voice echoed everywhere.

Catra ran through the trees panting like mad, this wasn't just him trying to defeat her, he was really trying to kill her. She stopped for a moment at a nearby tree to catch her breath. She looked to see all of reality was still crumbling she became so distracted by this she didn't see what was coming next suddenly a tree root grabbed her by the arm she yelped in fright as the root flung her into a boulder then another grabbed her and it suddenly formed into a shape.

She looked and saw it reformed into Wildvine as he slashed his sharpened vine talons right across her stomach and sent her crashing into a tree before she could recover another green light shone and a diamond covered hand grabbed her by the neck, she looked into the rage filled eyes of Diamondhead.

"Wow, never thought you'd have it in you Benny boy!" Catra said in a sickening way. "But its all pointless, you and Adora have lost! I win!"

Diamondhead growled. "Well then. Enjoy your victory!" His free hand shifted into a blade and now Catra looked even more terrified. "IN HELL!" He was ready to strike her down.

"No Ben!" Suddenly Adora arrived holding the injury that was on her abdomen. "Please. Don't do this."

"SHE DESERVES THIS! SHE CAUSED ALL OF THIS!" Diamondhead yelled. "AND YOU DEFEND HER AFTER ALL SHES DONE TO OUR FRIENDS TO YOU! GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T END HER RIGHT NOW!"

Adora slowly approached him with tears in her eyes. "I know your angry, I know you've been hurt and I know you want revenge." Adora said to him. "But if you do this that makes you no better than her. Is that what you want?"

Diamondhead growled heavily looking back to Catra who looked very terrified and he looked back to Adora. "You told me once that we make our own choices, I'm not defending Catra. I'm stopping you from making a choice that you'll regret for the rest of your life." Her words seemed to be soothing him as he looked out at the destruction to the forest most of the trees either in flames or destroyed this is what his rage had done. What Catra's rage had done to herself and all around her.

"But in the end Ben, you have to ask yourself." Adora said as she got closer to him. "What would your Grandfather do? What would Rook do?"

This made the Petrosapien stop and think, he looked back to a terrified Catra, suddenly she glitched and he saw someone else in her place it was a woman with black hair and wore a red leather jacket, suddenly her appearance changed to what looked like a metallic being with large pointed spikes on her head and white eyes. He knew who this was and what had happened to her. She then glitched back to Catra again.

He trembled as his crystals shook. "They…they'd say…by the book." He breathed. The atmosphere was tense what would he decide to do? Adora looked nervous while Catra remained terrified. Until, Diamondhead's blade reverted back to his hand, causing a sigh of relief to the former Horde soldier Diamondhead then tossed Catra to the floor very roughly as she coughed for air.

The Petrosapien took a step back looking at his trembling hands."GRRRYAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He yelled out his rage before he collapsed to his knees. Adora came to his side and looked at him with understanding eyes before she gently tapped the Omnitrix reverting him back to Ben who still had tears in his eyes.

However their moment was interrupted by Catra's maniacal laughter. "And thats why you lose! Being so weak!" She smirked.

Adora however just glared and stood up to face her. "Its not weakness! Its strength while you fight for nothing thats why you will never win!"

"Ha!" Catra scoffed suddenly the ground below them cracked and blasts from the dimensional collapse were blazing through. The trio gasped in shock.

"ADORA get back!" Ben yelled. Adora suddenly lost her balance as did Catra who grabbed her by the shirt collar and tried to pull her into the collapsing event horizon.

"Catra, no!" Adora cried as she tried to pull Adora closer to the collapsing world. However Ben grabbed Adora from behind and glared at Catra.

"You'll never hurt her again!" Ben glared and with one great effort he pulled Adora away from Catra tearing her Force Captains badge of her jacket and it fell into the void. Adora and Ben hit the ground away from the even horizon while Catra was pulled towards it. She clung to the piece of rubble for dear life.

"CATRA!" Adora yelled as she reached for her.

"Grab on its not too late!" Ben yelled to her but suddenly the ground crumbled beneath them forcing them to crawl further back towards the tree with Adora still reaching out to her.

Catra tried to hold onto the last bit of rubble with what strength they had left but as she looked to Adora and Ben she just glared, until finally she fell into the void. Leaving a devastated Adora with tears in her eyes.

"Come on." Ben said to her with tears of his own. "There's nothing we can do now!" Adora nodded and the two ran into the forest.

Adora sobbed as they ran into the forest until in a clearing she fell to her knees sobbing her eyes out. She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked to Ben who also had tears in his eyes and with a sob they embraced each other in a hug sobbing their pain and loss.

"I…I couldn't save her…we couldn't save them.." Adora sobbed. "If only..if only…"

"What?" Ben sobbed as he looked at her. "If only what?"

"If only I'd stopped Catra when I had the chance then the portal would never have been opened…and…None of this would've happened!" Adora cried out. "How many others could we have saved."

"I..I know. I know." Ben breathed through his sobs. "But thats the hard truth of this life. You can't save everyone no matter how hard we try or how brave we are. Even if its someone we…we love someone we'd give our lives in a second to save..we jus't can't save everyone." Ben said. "Its the toughest choices we heroes have to make. And Catra made her choice that lead us here. But this isn't over yet!"

"How right you are dearie." The two were startled as they looked to see Madame Razz standing there. "Mara you made it after all."

"Madame Razz." Adora breathed with a smile happy to see a friendly face.

"It's been such a long time since we last saw each other, hasn't it?" Razz said as they walked through the forest. "That or…it hasn't happened yet. I always get those two things mixed up."

"Ugh now I know she knows Paradox she's just as confusing as he is!" Ben groaned.

"He prefers all knowing dearie." Razz said.

"Rook he…hes gone and we…we couldn't save anyone else." Adora stuttered.

"Its not too late dearie, your friend sacrificed himself to give you the time you need." Razz said . "Besides you can still bring them back, but you must act quickly." She and Paradox leaped up to a tree root.

"How do you mean?" Ben asked.

"How do you know all of this?!" Adora agreed as Razz pulled them up with her broom.

"Because this has all happened before!" Madame Razz explained. "I remember it like it was yesterday. For Madame Razz, it was yesterday…"

"Wait this happened before?" Ben asked.

"with Mara!" Adora breathed realising it.

"Yes, dearie. When she moved Etheria and took away the stars. Heh, it was crazy." Madame Razz said.

"It's all my fault." Adora exclaimed. "I've been so afraid of becoming another Mara. Destroying the world the way she did…and now…it's happening."

Suddenly she was bonked on the head by Razz's staff. Surprising Ben did this turn into a scene from the Lion King? "Hey what was that for!" Ben asked before he was bonked on the head himself.

"Destroy the world?" Madame Razz chuckled. "No. Mara saved the world, and so will you."

"Saved it?" Adora questioned. Ben was wondering the same but then he remembered.

"They are not what they seem." Ben breathed remembering Paradox's warning. "Maras message said as long as we were in Despondos we'd be safe but what did she save us from?"

"All will be explained." Madame Razz said. "But you can't waste any more time. You need to go back to the beginning. You need to find the sword. That is the only way this will stop!"

"We did that, didn't we? I went back to the Fright Zone. The portal wasn't there!" Adora exclaimed.

"No that wasn't the beginning. You need to go back to the very beginning." Razz said.

"I don't understand!" Adora exclaimed as everything was crumbling around them but Ben was deep in thought and then he realised it.

"Wait." Ben realised. "What if she's not talking about your beginning in the Fright Zone! What if she's talking about She-Ra's beginning!"

"Thats right dearie, and while you have lost one friend you still have others to aid you. you must remember." Razz said as she caressed Adora's face.

The two suddenly turned and gasped to see the collapsing light consuming all the trees and wildlife in its path. Ben quickly grabbed Adora's shoulders. "Adora, you've got to concentrate. Remember our friends!" Ben said knowing who she still needed to remember.

"I have to remember…" Adora said pulling out the piece of paper but this time it didn't say Mara, it said She-Ra. Suddenly she had more memory flashes but these were not just of her Ben and Rook, but of two other friends she knew, and the Best Friend Squad they became, the two who believed in her and gave her the chance.

"Bow and Glimmer." She breathed. "We need to find them!"

"Then we gotta get to Bright Moon and fast!" Ben said. "Like I said there's still a chance!"

"Go on, dearie! Quickly!" Razz urged them and so the two ran for the deeper forest. Ben quickly activated the Omnitrix and changed into Astrodactyl once again. Adora quickly jumped and landed in his arms bridal style.

"Hang on!" Astrodactyl said and they blasted off into the sky setting course for Bright Moon.

Razz watched them leave with a smile on their faces and then she was joined by a certain Time Walker. "Those two never cease to surprise me old friend." Razz smiled as the trees fell into the portal.

"Indeed, and there are a few surprises in stall for them yet." Paradox agreed he looked to see Razz heading into the collapsing reality and disappeared. Paradox then turned back heavenward realising the immense task that lay ahead of the two heroes, but he realised that they still had a choice to make…the most terrible choice.

He then disappeared in the bright light also. However a distance ahead of the crumbling world. Someone groaned and emerged from the abyss, but she had changed. For it was a certain sociopathic cat lady who refused to just lie down and left side of her face and arm were completely distorted with the collapsing reality. She pushed deeper into the forest in pursuit of her quarry.

To be Continued.

Authors notes: A...nd scene whew that was the longest one yet and boy was it intense my heart was racing the whole time I was writing it. But now all is coming undone and Rook has sacrificed himself to give Adora and Ben the chance they need to end this, its all on them now. Plus Adora has now had an up close experience with Bens darker side when he saw red in their confrontation with Catra. But what keys has Rook given to Adora I wonder. Plus it turns out Razz knows about Professor Paradox, now I thought this would be a good element to introduce into the story considering how Razz is at times stuck in the past and of course in this arc she explains things like Paradox would. How they met though will be explained in later chapters.

Now, you can probably guess what inspired Ben's revenge fight against Catra. I also thought it would be a good idea if Ben and Adora switched roles of the supporting shoulder for this part of the story as we are seeing first hand the traumatic toll this world is taking on their minds.

But now we are close to the climax of the season 3 arc of the story, to save all of reality itself a choice has to be made, and who knows there may yet be a change of fates.

Until next time
