I do not own anything of Percy Jackson and the series, Rick Riordan does. I follow the books and the plot and I do reuse some dialogue, but I alter them and fit it into my story. Again, copyright is all Rick Riordan's, I repeat, I do not own anything.

Description: Happens at the end of The Titan's Curse.

If Jade found Luke's broken body at the bottom of Mount Othrys and took him to River Styx.

"Come on, come on, Luke."

I might have panicked. I didn't know. There was too much blood and too many limbs bent at unnatural angles that made me choke.

"Oh God, your bones, your blood, I have to-I have to help, what do I-"

River Styx. Take him to the River Styx, a voice whispered. Sing-

Without thinking, I force fed him liquid ambrosia, mouth to mouth out of desperation. When Luke's body temperature started rising, I started singing. My voice sounded frail and shaky at first.

"Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow-"

My surrounding darkened as I focused every fiber of my being into this song.

"Lay down your head, and close your eyes
And when they open, the sun will rise-"

The rocks began to turn. The sharp clacking of stone tempted me to open my eyes, but I held onto Luke's body and raised my voice louder.

"Here it's safe, and here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you-"

I wept as I choked out those words. Since when did I feel this way about Luke-

"Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of green, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes, and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away-"

I sang until my throat felt ragged, until my body shook under the weight of my grieving heart. I didn't know I had the capacity to feel so much, to hurt so much, and to care like this. My voice shook the grounds, the rocks, and the air around me, bending reality and listening to my cries. The Mist rippled and responded.

"Here it's safe, and here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm-"

Maybe it was the Mist or my own fatigue clouding my vision, but I trudged down a dark path with Luke's limp body draped over my shoulders. My knees wobbled and my lungs felt like they were on fire, but I never stopped moving or singing. I followed the scraping of boulders and shifting earth into the Underworld.

"Here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you
Here is the place where I love you."
