From Damsels to Each Others Protector
As he made his way to Dr. Eggman's base, Fang silently wondered what the evil scientist wanted from him this time. He had recently received a message from Eggman, telling him to meet him at his base, no doubt having another job for him.
He soon made his way through the front door as he walked through the lab, weirded out by the various robots that he came across. Once he reached the end of the lab, he found Eggman sitting in a chair, glad to see that Fang could make it.
"Ah, Fang! How is my favorite mercenary?" Eggman greeted Fang.
Instead of answering, Fang simply retorted. "So, what do you want from me this time? Find another ancient beast to awaken?"
"Alright, I know that you are very busy, so I'll just cut to the chase!" Eggman stood up from his seat. "I have been hearing some rumors about Amy and Trip getting closer to one another than usual."
"Oh, that? Well, it turns out that those two are now dating." Fang explained.
"So my hunch was correct!" Eggman tapped his chin, pondering what to do next. "Fang, I have another job for you! I want you to kidnap Trip and bring her here! Amy would do anything to get her precious girlfriend back, including giving me the 7 Chaos Emeralds!"
"Uh, no."
That was a response that Eggman wasn't expecting. Normally, Fang would take any job for the right price.
"What do you mean no? The job really isn't that hard, and I can pay you handsomely for it!" Eggman showed Fang a bag full of rings.
"Look, I normally wouldn't refuse a job, but I already tried to kidnap Trip once before. Let's just say it didn't end well for me." Fang rubbed the back of his head, still remembering the pain he felt when Amy knocked him into the sky with her hammer.
Frustrated that he invited Fang to his base for nothing, Eggman decided to take matters into his own hands. "Fine! I'll do it myself!"
With that, Eggman sat down at a nearby computer before activating a tiny drone-like robot. It was at that moment when the drone flew out of the base, much to Fang's confusion.
"Okay, what was that supposed to be?" Fang asked.
"That is my latest capture device! Here, let me show you!" Eggman led Fang to a nearby monitor before turning it on.
This ended up showing the outside of the base as it monitor showed everything that the drone was seeing. Before long, the monitor showed Amy and Trip as the two girlfriends were spending the day together.
"So, let me get this straight! You are going to rely on this tiny drone to kidnap, Trip?" Fang asked, not impressed in the least.
"I see that you need a bit of a demonstration! Just watch and bear witness to my genius!" Eggman directed Fang's attention back to the screen.
Meanwhile, Amy and Trip sat down on the grass together as they happily enjoyed the beautiful day together.
"Today is a beautiful day isn't it, Trip?" Amy asked her girlfriend.
Trip nodded in response. "Of course! Although, I guess I do feel a little nervous since this is the same place where we had our picnic."
Truthfully, Amy couldn't blame Trip for feeling nervous. After all, the day they had the picnic was the day Trip got kidnapped by Fang.
"I'm sorry, Trip. Maybe it was too soon for us to come back here." Amy realized.
"Oh, it's okay! Really! It's just that, I really thought I was finally able to stand up for myself after I defeated Fang back at the Egg Fortress. I guess I was wrong." Trip looked down in sadness.
In response, Amy placed a comforting hand on Trip's shoulder. "Hey, don't let it get to you! That jerk clearly caught you off guard! You are one of the bravest people I know!"
"Y-You really think so?" Trip blushed before looking away with a smile.
Amy nodded. "Of course! Let's forget about what happened that day and have fun together!"
With a smile, Amy and Trip gazed at the sky together, neither of them aware of the drone behind them. The robot produced a white cloth before tying it around Trip's mouth, taking her by surprise.
"Hgm?" Trip looked down at her gag in surprise before trying to take it off.
Unfortunately, the robot, fired at rope at Trip, pinning her arms to the side before lifting her up in the sky. While Trip was being dragged away, Amy continued to admire the sky, unaware of what was going on.
"I could just stay here all day with you, Trip!" Amy said only to not get a response from her girlfriend. Curious, Amy turned around and was shocked to see Trip bound, gagged, and dragged away by one of Eggman's robots. "Trip!"
After getting over her shock, Amy ran towards the robot in rage. It was bad enough that Fang kidnapped her girlfriend, but Amy was not going to tolerate Eggman kidnapping Trip as well. The drone wasn't able to get far before Amy destroyed it with one swing of her hammer.
Once the robot was destroyed, Trip let out a muffled scream as she started to fall. Thankfully, Amy was able to catch her in her arms before she could hit the ground. The sungazer lizard slowly opened her eyes to see that she was safe. She couldn't help but blush slightly upon noticing how she was being held in Amy's arms bridal style.
"Are you okay, Trip?" Amy asked, to which Trip nodded in response. "Here, let me get you untied."
Amy gently let Trip down before freeing her from her ropes and gag. Once she was free, Trip embraced Amy in a hug before kissing her on the lips.
"Thank you for saving me, Amy! You really saved me." Trip's smile faded when she realized that this was the second time she saved her. "Again." Trip said that last word in a depressed tone.
It was at this point when Amy started to feel bad for her girlfriend. After what Trip went through when Fang captured her, Amy knew that Trip's confidence in herself was at an all time low.
"Trip, I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to apologize for. You wouldn't have had to save me in the first place if I stood up for myself for once." Trip sadly walked away as Amy followed her, trying to think of a way to cheer her up.
Meanwhile at Eggman's base, the monitor that showed what was going on turned black as a result of Amy destroying the robot. Furious, Eggman started to throw a tantrum by latest defeat. This caused Fang to give a smirk, amused by how pathetic Eggman looked right now.
"Guess your robot wasn't as powerful as you thought it was!" Fang laughed in amusement.
"Shut up!" Eggman yelled. "That was, uh, just a little setback! I now realize that it isn't Trip I should kidnap, but Amy instead."
As Eggman said that, Fang's smile soon turned to a look of dread as he thought back to the last time Amy bashed him with her hammer. "I'm sorry, you want to kidnap Amy? Do you have a death wish?"
Eggman waved a dismissive hand. "Relax! This isn't the first time I captured her! In fact, it seems that a certain planet is coming back into orbit. I know just where to take her!"
Back with Amy and Trip, Amy tried to cheer her girlfriend up by taking her to a lake known as, Never Lake. The two girlfriends sat at the edge of the lake, enjoying the peace and quiet. After the trouble they had with Eggman's robot earlier today, they were both happy to finally have some time to themselves.
"This is so beautiful!" Trip exclaimed. "I can see why you like coming here often!"
"I'm glad that you like it, Trip, but this is not the reason why we are here!" Amy explained, much to Trip's confusion.
Suddenly, Trip was surprised when a planet known as, Little Planet appeared in the sky above the lake. It took awhile for Trip to get over her surprise as she tried to process what she was seeing. She heard stories from Amy about what Little Planet was like, but she never would have guessed that it would look this incredible.
"That's Little Planet?!" Trip exclaimed. "I never would have guessed that it would be so big!"
"Yeah, I guess the name can be a bit misleading!" Amy joked. "I figured that this would be the perfect moment for us to have a relaxing day together!"
With a smile, Trip wrapped her arm around Amy's back as Amy did the same for her. The two girlfriends happily watched the planet together, enjoying every second by each others side. However, Trip's smile soon faded when she took notice of something flying in the distance.
"Hey, what's that? Is it supposed to be a part of Little Planet?" Trip pointed towards the flying object.
"I don't think so. It kind of looks like-" As the object flew closer towards them, Amy's eyes widened in shock once she realized what it was. "Oh no!"
At that moment, Amy pushed Trip out of the way before the mysterious figure could crash into them. They both started to cough from all of the smoke surrounding them. As the smoke started to clear, they both realized that the mysterious figure was Metal Sonic.
This left Amy annoyed by the robot's presence. She already had to deal with one of Eggman's robots today, and she really didn't feel like dealing with another one.
"Really, Metal? All Trip and I want is to spend one romantic day together! Can't you just leave us alone for one day!" Amy yelled.
With a motionless glare, Metal Sonic flew straight towards Amy in an effort to grab her, only for the pink hedgehog to dodge out of the way. Now furious, Amy swung her hammer at Metal, but he simply grabbed it with one hand.
Surprised by this, Amy tried to yank the hammer out of the robot's strong grip, only for Metal to take the hammer away from her and toss it to the side. Now that Amy was taken off guard, Metal grabbed her from behind.
"Hey! Let me- Mmmph!" Amy's sentence was interrupted when Metal placed a hand over her mouth.
"Amy, no!" Trip reached her hand out for Amy only for Metal to fly in the sky with Amy and take her to Little Planet.
With Amy now gone, Trip collapsed to her knees, devastated by what happened to her girlfriend. She was overcome with guilt for not being able to protect Amy.
"Wh-What am I going to do?" Trip asked herself, trying her best not to cry.
Suddenly, Trip caught something out of the corner of her eye. With a sniff, she took notice of a giant ring that led to a special stage. This gave Trip an idea, so she ran through the ring to collect the Chaos Emeralds.
Meanwhile, Metal Sonic flew Amy to Stardust Speedway, where he tied Amy to a nearby pole. Before Amy could yell at Metal to let her go, he tied a white cloth over her mouth to keep her quiet. It was at that moment when Amy looked down to see the predicament she was in, causing her to roll her eyes in annoyance.
"Srhouslh? Aghn?" Amy gave a muffled sigh, annoyed that she just happened to tied to the same exact pole for the second time.
While Amy desperately struggled against her ropes, Metal pressed a button on his arm, causing a hologram of Eggman to appear.
"Ah, Metal. I trust that you were able to capture Amy." Eggman hoped.
The robot soon moved to the side, revealing Amy, furiously struggling to free herself.
"Excellent! I will be there soon. Make sure you guard her and no one comes to free her." Eggman ordered before the hologram disappeared.
After several minutes of trying to escape, Amy eventually gave up as she started to feel exhausted from her struggles. With no way to escape, Amy silently hoped that Trip would be okay.
Back on Earth, it took her awhile, but Trip was finally able to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds. Now surrounded by the Chaos Emeralds, Trip took one glance at Little Planet with a look of determination.
"Don't worry, Amy! I'm coming to save you!"
With that, Trip used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to transform into her dragon form. It was at that moment when Trip used her wings to fly towards Little Planet. Unfortunately for Trip, she ran out of ring energy the moment she arrived on Little Planet, so she knew that she would have to walk through the planet on foot.
As she explored the planet, Trip had to travel through several zones and defeat various badniks just to find Amy. By the time she reached Stardust Speedway, Trip was exhausted from her long journey. The good news was that Trip finally found Amy, who was tied to a pole and gagged. The bad news was that Amy was at the end of a long highway.
"Ugh! Why do I get the feeling that Sonic made this look easy?" Trip complained as she thought back to when Amy told her about the time Sonic first rescued her.
The sungazer lizard only took a few steps before Metal Sonic suddenly blocked the way. This caused her to jump back in shock. She awkwardly tried to walk around Metal, only for the robot to step to the side, continuing to block her way. Normally, Trip wasn't the best at confrontations, so being face to face with Metal only made things awkward for her.
"Um, hi. Look, I know that you took my girlfriend! I'm going to bring her back, and you are not going to stop me!" Trip tried to sound brave only to not get a single reply from the robot. This only made things even more awkward for Trip. She could tell that Metal didn't see her as that much of a threat and was hoping to fight Sonic instead. "You don't really talk much, do you?" Trip asked, only to be greeted with even more awkward silence.
It was at that moment when Metal Sonic started to sense Eggman's egg mobile getting close, so he turned and walked away to meet up with Eggman.
"Hey, wait! I'm still talking to you!" Trip called out for Metal.
To get the robot's attention, Trip picked up a nearby rock and threw it at him. She would immediately regret that decision as Metal instantly turned around as he red eyes started to glow in anger. This caused Trip to let out an audible gulp as she slowly backed away.
"Okay, I can tell that you are mad." Trip took a few steps back with a nervous smile. "Is it too late to say sorry? Aaaah!" Trip dodged out of the way as Metal barely missed her, trying to swipe her with his claws.
Trip took a moment to catch her breath before turning around to see Metal chasing after her at full speed. In a panic, Trip ran away screaming, desperately trying to get away from Metal.
Meanwhile, Amy continued her struggles before hearing a scream in the distance. That was when Amy's eyes widened in surprise when she recognized the voice.
"Trhp?"
Amy looked to the side to see that it was indeed Trip. The sungazer lizard was running down the road as she was being chased by Metal Sonic.
"Rhn, Trhp! Ygh chn dh iht!" Despite being gagged, Amy did her best to cheer her girlfriend on, letting her know that she can do it.
As she was being chased by Metal Sonic, Trip collected as many rings as possible that were scattered across the road. She occasionally had to look behind her to dodge all of the blasts of electricity Metal fired at her.
Before long, Trip encountered a dead end with a wall blocking her way. As Metal charged at her at full speed, Trip began to panic before realizing that she collected enough rings to transform into her super form once more. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Trip transformed into her dragon form, much to the surprise of Metal Sonic.
Before Metal could react, he was taken off guard when Trip swung her massive tail at him, knocking him against a wall. The impact of the attack was so powerful, Metal's body began to spark as he could barely move at all.
Now that Metal was defeated, Trip used her dragon strength to break through the wall that was blocking her path earlier. Here, she was happy to see Amy, who thankfully wasn't hurt.
"Trhp!" Amy smiled behind her gag, happy to see her girlfriend again.
"Hold on, Amy! I'll get you down!" Trip walked behind the pole Amy was tied to before using her sharp dragon teeth to bite through the ropes.
Once she was free, Amy untied the gag from her mouth before kissing Trip on the lips. "Oh, Trip! I knew you would come for me! You're the best girlfriend ever!"
Trip blushed. "I'm just happy that you are okay!"
"I am, thanks to you!" Amy smiled before hugging Trip.
Since Trip was still in her dragon form, she nuzzled her head up to Amy as they both snuggled each other.
Meanwhile, Metal slowly recovered from the attack, only for Amy to stand over him with her hammer now recovered. This was the last thing Metal saw before Amy smashed her hammer on his head and everything went black.
A few minutes went by before Eggman and Fang arrived at Stardust Speedway. As Eggman looked around, Amy and Metal Sonic were nowhere to be found, much to his frustration.
"Where are they?! This is where I'm supposed to meet them!"
"Hey, what's this?" Fang pointed to a nearby box.
Curious, Eggman slowly approached the box and opened it to see what was inside. He suddenly let out a scream before dropping the box. It was soon revealed that Metal Sonic's head was in the box. His eyes flickered as he was still functioning, but just barely.
After getting over his horror, Fang said, "Okay, that's kind of dark!"
With an annoyed sigh, Eggman replied, "Looks like I'll have to repair him when we get back to the lab."
Eggman was about to grab Metal Sonic's head before the robot began to show a recording of what happened earlier. Both Eggman and Fang watched a recording of Trip using the power of the Chaos Emeralds to defeat Metal. Upon realizing where the Chaos Emeralds are, Eggman gave a menacing grin as he had one more plan.
Meanwhile, Amy rode on Trip's back as they two of them returned to Earth. Once Trip reached the ground, she reverted back to her normal form. After the long day they had, the two girlfriends were ready to finally have some time to themselves.
"So, today was uh, interesting!" Amy spoke up.
Trip nodded in agreement. "Yes, I suppose it was! Despite everything, I still had fun with you."
The two girlfriend soon stared lovingly towards each other and closed their eyes as they leaned in for a kiss. Their lips were inches away from each other before a light suddenly shined down on them. They both looked up to see that it was Eggman who was shining the light from his egg mobile.
"Oh, so sorry! Am I interrupting the two lovebirds?" Eggman mocked.
"What do you want, Eggman?" Amy asked, more annoyed with Eggman than anything else. "Trip and I already destroyed your robots! Don't you think you've had enough for one day?"
"Don't think that you two have won yet! I know that Trip has the Chaos Emeralds with her, now all I have to do is take them by force!"
With a snap of his fingers, Eggman summoned countless badniks to attack Amy and Trip. Despite the odds being against them, Amy and Trip weren't going to give up so easily. They both charged forward as Amy smashed as many badniks as she could with her hammer while Trip jumped on them with her spin attack.
They had both been doing well with fighting back against Eggman's robots, unfortunately the robots were simply the distraction. Right when Amy and Trip weren't looking, Eggman fired ropes at them from his egg mobile, tying them both up.
"Wh-What?" Amy couldn't believe that she got caught so easily.
"You tricked us!" Trip yelled.
"Oh, I prefer to think of it as a tactical win! Now that I have you in my clutches, its time to take those Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman then flew his egg mobile dragging, Amy and Trip with him.
After Eggman brought Amy and Trip to his lab and stole the emeralds, he left Amy and Trip bound and gagged with Amy having an orange cloth wrapped around her mouth while Trip having a pink cloth wrapped around her mouth. The two girlfriends struggled against their ropes and screamed in their gags as Eggman took the emeralds with him.
"Finally, all of the Chaos Emeralds are mine! Now, I can finally take over the world!" Eggman gloated.
Fang gazed at the Chaos Emeralds in awe. "I have to admit, I didn't think you could do it, Doctor. Perhaps I can keep at least one of them for myself."
Eggman noticed Fang reaching for one of the emeralds before smacking his hand away. "No! Now, come! You shall bear witness to the beginning of the Eggman Empire!"
It was at that moment when Amy and Trip were left alone as they continued their struggles. Despite their best efforts, neither of them were able to break free of their ropes. Exhausted from their struggles, they gazed at each other with a couple of sad looks.
"Ahr ygh okgh, Trhp?" Amy asked Trip if she was okay from behind her gag.
Trip sadly shook her head, "Ngt rghllg."
Despite being tied up, Amy scooted as close to Trip as possible before holding her hand to the best of her ability. "Dnt wrry! Whll ght thrgh ths thghr."
Even though, Trip couldn't understand what Amy was saying too well, she could only assume that Amy was trying to tell her that they would both get through this together. Hearing this made Trip feel better. Despite the fact that she couldn't see Amy's smile, Trip could tell from Amy's reassuring look that she knows that everything will turn out well in the end.
Trip smiled behind her gag as well before tightening her grip on Amy's hand. That was when Trip thought of an idea as she moved her hand towards the ropes binding Amy's hands together. Upon realizing what Trip had planned, Amy did the same thing as she loosened Trip's ropes as well.
The girls took turns loosening each others ropes, freeing each other from their bindings. This went on until only their gags were left. With a couple of smiles, Amy and Trip wrapped their arms around each others heads before untying each others gags. Once they were free, they both kissed each other on the lips.
"Looks like we saved each other this time!" Trip noticed.
"That's because we love each other and will always be their for one another no matter what! I love you, Trip!" Amy replied.
"I love you too, Amy!" Trip replied before remembering about Eggman. "Now, all that's left is to stop Eggman! Are you ready?"
"Thought you'd never ask!" Amy held her hammer with a confident grin.
Deep in Eggman's lab, Eggman inserted one Chaos Emerald in a giant robot at a time as it slowly powered up.
"At last, the world is mine!" said Eggman. "With this mech powered up by the emeralds, no one would dare stand in my way!"
"And what about Amy and Trip?" Fang asked, reminding Eggman that they are still here.
Eggman waved a dismissive hand. "I am not worried. They are tied up in a locked room. They have no hope in stopping me."
Eggman would soon be proven wrong when he heard an explosion at the entrance of the lab. He looked behind him to find out that Amy and Trip knocked down the door.
"What?! How did you two get free?" Eggman asked in shock.
"Don't act so surprised, Eggman! As long as Trip and I are by each others side, we can do anything!" Amy explained.
At that moment, Eggman looked back to his giant mech to see that there are still more emeralds for him to put in. That was when he started to panic as he summoned more robots to attack.
"Robots, destroy them!"
With a couple of confident smiles, Amy and Trip shared a couple of silent nods with one another before charging into battle. They dodged the lasers that the robots fired at them before Amy smashed the robots with her hammer while Trip used her spin attack on the robots. In the midst of the fight, Eggman grabbed the last emerald and was about to put in the giant mech before Amy showed up and knocked the emerald out of his hand with her hammer.
"Trip, catch!" Amy hit the emerald with her hammer once more, sending it flying towards Trip.
The sungazer soon caught the emerald in her hand before using her spiked wall climbing ability to attach herself to the giant mech and recover the rest of the emeralds. Once all of the emeralds were recovered, Amy smashed the mech with her hammer as hard as she could, causing it to topple over with an explosion.
Before anyone could react, more explosions started to spread throughout the lab, so Amy and Trip knew that now was the time to escape. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Trip transformed into her dragon form once more before carrying Amy on her back. As Amy and Trip made their escape, one last explosion consumed the lab, leaving Eggman and Fang covered in burns as they were sitting in the middle of the destroyed lab.
"So much for your master plan." Fang retorted.
"Oh, shut up!" Eggman yelled before crossing his arms in a pout.
With Eggman's latest scheme now foiled, Trip flew Amy as far away from Eggman's lair as possible. Before long, Trip slowly descent onto the grass below before reverting back to her normal form. They both looked up at the sky to see that it was now nighttime. After the long day they had, they sat down on the grass, holding each others hand.
"Whew! What a day!" Amy breathed a sigh of relief. "Looks like Eggman won't be bothering us for awhile!"
"I suppose not!" Trip replied with a smile. "This might sound a little weird, but despite all the times we have been kidnapped today, I really had a fun day with you, Amy!"
"I feel the same way, Trip! Despite all the dangers we faced today, we were always there to protect each other and we'll always be by each others side!"
With a couple of smiles, Amy and Trip kissed each other on the lips before looking up at the sky, hand in hand. Amy and Trip had never felt safer whenever they were with each other. Not matter what dangers they would face in the future, Amy and Trip had comfort in knowing that they would always protect each other no matter what.
