It has been so long since I've made a fanfic, and hopefully it won't be so long when I make more.

The Stone of Cold Fire was one of my absolute favorite LBT sequels, and the concept for this has been in my mind for a long time. So I hope it'll be a decent story.

The Bright Circle had since already set below the horizon, the multitude of stars now dotting the night sky as crickets and hoppers sounded off their serenades. Littlefoot was the first to arrive to the hill, a good vantage point to see off the Far Walkers, not quite certain when he got so far ahead of his friends. Just that he had.

But he wasn't alone.

As Littlefoot got closer, he began to make out the two familiar figures overseeing the departure of the Far Walkers. But how? They were last at Threehorn Peak, and that was a few days walk. Hours by flight thanks to Petrie's mother and her friend. But there was no sign of the Rainbow Faces after he last saw them at the mountain. Littlefoot hurried over to them.

"Hey!" he called. "How did you get back here so fast?"

The Rainbow Faces didn't look away from the Farwalkers. And there wasn't any indication that they heard him but after a few seconds of silence the male of the two finally spoke up.

"Quite a sight, isn't it?" His gaze was still on the Farwalkers. Littlefoot wasn't entirely certain if the question was directed at him or not. But when the other Rainbow Face hadn't spoke up, Littlefoot did.

"Uh, yeah. Are you leaving too?"

There was a brief pause, but after a few seconds the two Rainbow Faces finally looked at him with a smile.

"Any time now," the female of the two said.

Littlefoot approached closer as he looked them in the eyes.

"That falling rock I saw, it never was a Stone of Cold Fire, was it?"

"No," replied the male Rainbow Face. "But you see, the stone never really mattered. It's what you did to discover the truth about it. That is what's important."

The two began to make their leave but Littlefoot chased after them.

"Wait! There's so much I don't understand. Why was that flying rock I saw different from the rest? Is there really such a thing as a Stone of Cold Fire?" Littlefoot looked up to them, so many more questions competing to the surface. How had they gotten back the Great Valley so fast? How do they seem to know so much more than the other grownups? And. He looked back and forth between the two. And...? "Who are you guys?"

The two smiled, and the male spoke up.

"You have a sharp mind, Littlefoot. Quite advanced for your species." The female rolled he eyes before giving him a light elbowing to the side. "Ow." He gave her a quick apologetic glance before returning his focus back to Littlefoot. "I mean, for someone so young."

"Uh, thanks."

"Remember this, Littlefoot. There is much more to what you call the Great Circle of Life than you can possibly imagine," said the female Rainbow Face.

Littlefoot cocked a brow. "Out in the Mysterious Beyond?"

"No." The male shook his head. "As we said to the Threehorn, beyond the Mysterious Beyond. For example, when it's dark at night, all of those tiny lights in the sky are actually other-"

And he was doing again, sighed the female as she gave him a stern, "Ahem."

Correcting himself, he continued. "Well, that would be telling, wouldn't it? Oh, will you look at that!"

Littlfoot turned around, unaware of the beam of light that now surrounded the Rainbow Faces as he looked back from where he came from, not seeing his friends or anything else out of the ordinary.

"What? Look at what?" he asked them.

He turned to see the beam of light slowly rising off the ground. His mouth dropped. Now meters off the ground the two Rainbow Faces waved their goodbyes. Their bodies began to glow a bright light, their necks and tails shrinking, their forms changing until the two were unrecognizable. Now both were brownish bipeds with large oblong heads. Littlefoot could just barely make out the large depression on both sides of their heads, their warm green eyes separated by symmetrical black lines that ran down their faces.

The two beheeyem gave a final wave with their red, green, and yellow fingers before they vanished in the light below a large metallic rock. It's glow was almost blinding. Littlefoot barely got to make out any of the details before the metal rock sped off at impossible speeds, making multiple sharp turns before disappearing amongst the stars.

Littlefoot stood their for what felt mike minutes, mouth still agape, before he felt the corners of his lips curl into an accepting smile. He was never going to know who, or what, they were. And like with the many unknowns, he was ok with this.

I know it wasn't much, but I still hope that it was an ok read. Like I said, Stone of Cold Fire is one of my favorite sequels as I loved the idea of aliens being in the series. And I'm so glad that others had the same though, and thought it be cool if the aliens were pokemon, and thus this brief story was made.
