"Remind me how it's possible for FLYING AND SINGING ANIMALS TO BE REINFORCEMENTS FOR A WAR!" Scarlet shouted once she realized what most of the world was.
Green had gotten stuck with her at King's request, much to his dismay, but he begrudgingly agreed, since Blue and Yellow were already gone, and Red was dealing with the impulsive Copper.
And heaven knew how King and Gold were faring. Only keeping Scarlet in the Nether would've been a massive pain for them all.
He grumbled to himself. "It doesn't have to be the damn animals! It can be anyone! Hell, Willow or Sunny could be around here somewhere! Purple could've escaped and ended up here to avoid being traced!"
"Why would he be here?!" Scarlet snapped.
"Simple. He knows this place, probably better than I do. How else do you think he ended up on our side during our battle with King?" Green said.
"I don't want you to be good or bad. I want you to be Purple. We love you just the way you are."
The memory of them being on the mountaintop together made him smile.
He was only trying to make people proud of him. That was all he wanted.
And if it took an argument through note blocks for them to get on the same page, that's what it would be.
"But remember the mission. Find anyone willing to help, and we'll take them with us. I'm sure the others have something by now.
By the time the duo had gotten past the singing villagers(which Green had almost zero interest in working with at that moment), they were barely through the desert towards the mountaintop, and Green was losing his motivation.
Suddenly, Scarlet stopped him. "Hey, those guys look familiar?" She pointed to the kids walking in front of them.
Green stared at them for a moment, trying to remind himself of the stick figure's colors.
Suddenly, it all came rushing back to him.
As soon as he got the skates on and he sped towards the rink, one kid and his friend grabbed two cups(which King knew weren't supposed to be on the rink), and dumped it's contents all over Purple.
Another kid skated up to him and pushed him to the ground.
Well, shit.
"Sorry you can't cry to your mommy anymore!" They said, his voice sounded oddly familiar somehow. "You'll just have to cry to your daddy instead!"
The mention of Purple's so-called "dad" made his blood boil.
"Oh wait, can't do that either, you crybaby loser!"
"HEY! MOCHA!" Green screamed, his voice seething with rage. Mocha turned to Green and was met with the floor as Green slapped him so hard he lost his balance and fell flat on the ground.
The kids not with Mocha immediately started laughing.
Gold took his chance and helped Green get Purple off the rink, while King sped off the rink and raced towards Purple.
Man, was it really that bad?
Purple was still sobbing when Green and Gold got him off the rink, and the others were at his side in seconds, asking what happened.
King joined them straight afterwards.
"Purple! Purple, what happened?!" He asked frantically, becoming really unsure of what to do. Mocha was being guided off the rink, and Ming instantly remembered who he and his friends were.
He and Green shared a look, and Green jumped into action.
Shoving Purple into King's arms, he stormed over to Purple's tormentors, seething with rage.
Gold and the others backed up.
King realized Green held a roller skate in his hand, and his eyes widened.
Oh, shit.
Second took a step forward, but was far too late.
Green slammed the wheels into Mocha's face, and the entire rink was sent into an eerie silence.
"I wouldn't recommend messing with Purple again. Now you know what's gonna happen." Green snapped angrily.
King should've been mad, but he was actually pretty proud of Green for standing up for his friend.
"It's not our fault your friends a little baby!" One of the kids said as they tended to Mocha.
"Oh, so it's my fault someone abandoned their little brother and wasn't able to get them back cause they're deemed unfit to raise a kid cause they've got anger issues?!"
Purple was seething with anger, shaking in King's hold and his watered eyes glaring daggers at his tormentors.
Most of the bullies decided to back off, not before marching forward and pushing Green down.
Purple lost it.
Breaking from King's tight grip, he marched forwards and punched the kid square in the face.
"Don't. Touch. My friends. You'll regret it faster than a snap of your fingers."
Purple was seething with rage directed mainly towards Mocha, but was equally distributed towards all of them.
Mocha and his buddies quickly backed off and ran out of the roller rink.
"Mocha and his friends." He seethed.
The leader, a coffee-colored stick figure, seemed to notice. "Shit, it's that kid that assaulted us back at the roller rink!"
The others looked at him and Scarlet. "Purple's friends? What harm can they do?"
Scarlet blinked. She had seen Green nearly take Mocha's nose off with a roller skate! How were they not scared of him?!
"Do you guys just not care that the guy who almost cost your a leader a new nose is standing right here?" Scarlet asked, staring at them with a puzzled expression.
"No, not really. Unless your Mocha." A light blue stick figure said. "Hey, wait a second...weren't you there when we were tormenting that yellow stick figure?"
Green blinked himself back into reality after glaring at Mocha. "Gold?"
"Sunny."
The other kids, a coffee colored one and his friends, were laughing like maniacs. Obviously, they thought this was funny.
And it was taking every single cell in her tiny little body not to smack them with rose thorns right then and there.
"Whatcha gonna do now, Goldie?" The boy cooed towards the golden yellow kid in front. "Gonna save your sister?"
"She's not my sister, now get her down!" Gold snapped.
"Why?"
"Gold! Get ready to catch!" Willow shouted.
Gold pushed Mocha out of the way and held his arms up, ready to catch the lightweight girl.
Willow gave Sunny a reassuring smile before dropping her into Gold's arms.
She slid down another support and glared at Mocha's friends. "I get why your name is Mocha. Your brain is the size of a coffee bean! A Mokka coffee bean too!"
"And why is that?"
"Because your Mokka pellet bird brain thought it would be so hilarious to let a child be chained up and dangling over woodchips!"
"Your calling me a bird brain?!"
Vines shot put just underneath Willow's palms. "I will make you into bird food if you don't shut your mouth, because nobody asked for your words of disrespect and disregard for a child's life and safety."
"Oh yeah...I remember that."
"Weren't you also the ones who terroized Purple a long time ago?!" Green shouted, clearly not trusting them.
"Loser!"
"Mocha?"
Mocha shoved them back down. "Your still a loser. No wonder your mommy and daddy left you."
"Your telling that to the person who pratically RAISED your little brother!" Purple snapped.
"YOU STOLE HIM FROM ME!" Mocha screamed.
"YOU LEFT HIM ALL ALONE!" Purple screamed back.
"You...you asshole!" Mocha yelled. "You stole my baby brother from me!"
"Yeah!" A chorus of voices stepped into the light. They seemed to be Mocha's friends as they all began circling him, leaving one space open.
"I knew I made the right decision in abandoning you and your whiny mother." His father. Each stick circled him, and Purple slapped his hands over his ears to drown out the noise.
It still filled his head, anyway.
"You baby!"
"Gonna cry to mommy? Oh wait, you can't do that!"
"Your such a freak!"
"Just grow up!"
"I'm so happy I left you!"
"Go cry to daddy! Oh wait, can't do that either!"
The others looked at Green with sadness. "We know, we've gotten on Purple's bad side enough, but we decided we want to apologize." the blue stick said.
"Sky, the only thing you'd ever apologize for was pushing Purple to the ground at the roller rink," Scarlet snarled. "And besides, his even shittier biological dad kidnapped him! So apologizing him isn't even an option!"
Sky blinked. "His father went that low?"
"Yep."
"Can we help?" Another stick figure asked.
"Crystal! The hell?!" Mocha shouted.
"Why would we help?!" The purple stick shouted.
"Because, Lavender! We wanna apologize to Purple! This is the perfect chance!" Crystal said.
Lavender and Sky stared at each other, then at Mocha.
Mocha turned away. "Do what you want. I'd kill Purple for almost costing me a hospital trip if I ever saw him again."
Green almost shouted at Mocha that Purple was blast him with his powers before he even got a chance to lay a finger on him, but Lavender spoke before he could retort at Mocha's statement.
"We'll help."
