Blue nearly fell through the portal, collapsing on the ground next to Yellow.
"Well, that was fun," He grumbled, remembering the familiar feeling from last time they were there. "Let's hope this battle is so much easier."
"Depending on if we can get the family to work with us," Yellow said, taking out the command block. "They might've helped us last time, but that was because the titan ravager wanted revenge for what King did to his family."
Blue stared at the block in his friend's hands. "Fair argument. But still, they might want to help us. King revived his family, so maybe the ravager forgave him?"
Yellow stared at him. "Doubtful. If anything, the ravager will rip him to shreds in a second. But, let's try it. If we can get them to work with us, we'll take them back to the Nether, get them to the Great Above, and rescue Purple with him. Got it?"
"Got it!"
Fortunately, the villagers were more than willing to help them get the ravager family on their side. Upon the revelation that the ravagers were just a hungry family, the villagers had hired it as their protector, and it had served them well after the Nether Battle.
And it was an amazing asset to Blue and Yellow's team when they needed him, and his family was also exceptionally strong as well, so they had triple the advantage when it came to a war.
"You think these guys will actually help?" Yellow asked.
"I'm sure. We may not be able to talk to mobs and tame them into helping us like Red, but they've helped us before, and Purple's our friend! If anything, they'll help because our friend is in danger!"
Yellow stared at Blue with skepticism. He could tell the memory of losing Purple again still burned fresh in his mind.
King and the others glanced to the side of their high-suspended cage, noticing another one, with a few familiar faces.
"Dark?! You're alive?!" Chosen exclaimed.
"Should be asking you the same thing." Purple deadpanned.
"Are you guys okay?" King asked.
"Would be if Willow's traitor brother didn't kidnap us and throw Purple into a wall." Second muttered.
"That makes two of us, kid."
"Got you guys off guard, didn't he?"
"He kept acting all paranoid, and once we confronted him about it, he changed demeanor entirely and attacked us." Gold explained.
"He used drones on us, too!" Blue added.
"There has to be a way to stop him, without dying." Willow said. "So long as Night Shade's alive…"
"They're unstoppable." Purple finished for her.
King glanced at him. "How did you know that?"
"Navy trapped us in a void, and I figured it out myself."
"Told you he was a smart kid." King looked at Red.
"I'm aware."
"CHOSEN, LOOK OUT!" Dark screamed suddenly.
As the others looked up, something collided with the chain holding King's cage up in the air, sending it falling to the ground.
"Shit! Willow!" Sunny screamed.
"Oh, don't worry. You'll join them soon enough." A voice said.
"Navy, you son of a bitch." Purple shouted.
"Oh, calm down son," A hooded figure from the rafters said gently, an energy ball resting in their hand.
"Look out!" Red shouted.
"Dark, get ready to attack!" Second shouted. "Who knows what that ball has."
The figure tossed it, and Sunny and Second threw themselves in front of Purple to protect him.
Dark countered the energy beam with a fireball, and the force of the collision and heat of the fireball broke the chains holding their own cage.
"GET DOWN!" Chosen screamed just before the cage hit the ground.
"Yellow!" King tossed the younger stick the Command Staff towards him. "I'll get Purple out of here! You keep Navy from attacking us!"
"Right!"
"Hang on, kid!" "Don't worry, kid. This story isn't over just yet."
God, he felt so stupid!
"Don't let go, kid…please…"
"I…I'm so sorry…"
"Purple…no…"
"Purple, no! Please!"
Purple used his free hand to spawn an energy blast, and as more people failed to fight the portal's grasp, he pushed King completely out of the blast range and let the portal grab hold of him.
"PURPLE!"
Blue and the others watched in horror. "LOOK OUT!" Blue screamed, tackling Yellow to the ground as explosions fired overhead.
The scene replayed over and over, an uncomfortable cloud of air over everyone who remained on the roof of Navy's oceanic base.
Just a little while ago, King and Purple had been reunited, Purple's memories had been restored, and it seemed that everything would go back to normal.
And then Navy opened the portal to the Great Above and everything went to shit.
And just like that, Purple, Willow, Sunny, and potentially numerous others, had been lost to another dimension.
And what remained of King's team was left to reflect on what had just transpired.
Reflect on what had just transpired in an eerie silence nobody felt like trying to break for a while.
They were all frozen, trapped in some type of capsule that just kept replaying the loss of their friends over and over and over again.
"So...is anyone going to talk about...what just happened?" Green asked slowly, finally changing the atmosphere.
The remaining kids stared at him, not knowing what to say.
"Uhm, well...how can we? After we just lost some of our most powerful allies to another realm?" Red answered, equally slow, still shaking and terrified.
Chosen cast glances at everyone, taking in how badly shaken everyone was.
Mostly everyone was injured in some way, shaking and trembling, and barely registering who they had just lost and what had just happened.
"Okay, so, stating the obvious, we've lost Purple and god knows how many more allies. Second of all, THEY ARE IN ANOTHER GODDAMN DIMENSION WHICH WE'LL NEVER FIGURE OUT HOW IT GOT OPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Dark shouted.
"Navy must've been working on this completely under our noses. Hell, I doubt Purple had any knowledge of another realm being crafted," King said. "These guys must have a crap ton more plans that we haven't the slightest clue of."
"So...how bad would that be?" Chosen asked, having a vague idea on how bad this entire situation was, should it get even worse.
"Knowing that these plans could bring about the end of the world, and multiple other dimensions, this could get messy."
"I promise, this will work." Blue said, giving Yellow another reassuring smile.
Yellow sighed, staring up at the opening of the cave. "Okay, let's do this."
The Command Block did nothing against the battle they ended up in.
Yellow was successfully able to get the ravagers to help, but then, a yellow stick figure jumped down into the crevasse, attacking the family.
Yellow and Blue jumped into action within seconds, but were easily overpowered.
Blue almost shouted at them, believing they were Gold, but another look at her told him otherwise.
The stick was a yellow color, sure, but she was darker than both Gold and Sunny. She was closer to King's color if Yellow had to make a guess.
She snatched the Command Block Yellow had dropped earlier and shot at the ravagers.
All three of them were hit with a command that Yellow vividly remembered.
kill e[type=ravager, sort=nearest, limit=1]
Their hearts dropped.
Once the last ravager was taken out, the figure turned to look at them.
"Don't hurt us!" Blue shouted, hiding behind Yellow and trembling.
The figure's hardened expression softened, but Yellow's glare didn't.
"I won't hurt you. I just want you to come with me. I have someone you might want to see." The woman said.
Yellow and Blue glanced at each other, then back at her. As much as Yellow didn't want to trust her, given she had just killed their reinforcements in what was most likely a mistaken judgement that the duo was being attacked, but something told him she had at least one of their friends, probably.
For all he knew, she could've had Purple.
Finally coming to a decision, he sighed. "Fine."
He prayed to someone above that this was a good idea.
"Did she get them?" Orchid asked from the doorway.
"Indeed she did." Night Shade answered. Smirking, he stared at the drones as Amber led Blue and Yellow into the castle.
"And now," Navy said, staring at the camera. "The battle begins."
