BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Take You for a Ride (Dance Mix)

Sonic: I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog! We did the X-Men a huge favor by saving Bishop and taking down Mister Sinister. His master plan was to create a personal army of Mutant/Grimm clones using the genetic data of the world's cross-species. Let's hope he doesn't rear his ugly head anytime soon. Been pretty crazy lately. I could use another break from the action.

Volume 1 Issue 18: Branching Intervals

OzSchnee Tower, New Vale City. Unified World. (4 Days Since the Convergence)

"Now beginning Test 10 of Quantum Dust Fusion." An OzSchnee Scientist announced.

OzSchnee Industries continue to develop new inventions that will help heal this chaotic fused world. Their latest invention is a machine powered by Convergium designed to fuse Dust to form new variants thought impossible to craft in Remnant. Overseen by Harry Osborn and the visiting Whitley Schnee, the scientists have performed multiple tests to further perfect the process. It would seem their efforts are about to pay off with this latest trial.

Within the machine, two Dust Crystals are drawn to each other before merging into a green crystal that controls vegetation. "Plant Dust fused." The OzSchnee Scientist announces while the experiment continues. "Applying chemical compound for human compatibility." The Plant Dust is then dipped into a special pool that makes it as useful as herbal medicine. "Neutralizing harmful elements with Anti-Convergium." Energy rays are also blasted into the Dust, transforming it into a harmonious color of green and yellow. "Healing Dust synthesized. Testing on organic tissue…" The newly-created Dust is used on damaged artificial organs. One flash of green light later and the organs are healed by an impressive amount. "Test successful. Restoration of human tissue by 34%." The Scientist proclaimed, leading to cheers among the team working on this project.

"Better than last time. Good job, team. Would love to see you guys make balm and tonics out of this." Harry joked with a proud smile for his workers.

"Will give it a shot, sir." A OzSchnee Worker quipped, revealing how Harry has established friendly relations with his employees. Unlike Jacques Schnee who is a well-known corrupt businessman. And from the short time they've been together, Harry has noticed similar traits in his youngest son.

"Cautious approach aside, that was truly an impressive experiment, Mr. Osborn. The old SDC was unclear how to craft Healing Dust. All past experiments resulted in poisoning our test subjects, some of them meeting an unfortunate end." Whitley said, sparking a conversation with an enigmatically polite demeanor.

"Can't take all the credit, Whitley. Just trying to convert the chaos of the Convergence into a benefit that'll restore order to the world." Harry conversed, walking around with him in the huge laboratory.

"We'll need more than Healing Dust to accomplish that. Might I suggest the creation of Summoning Dust?" Whitley recommended.

"Jealous you can't do what your sisters can?" Harry teased.

"Oh not at all. But our allies in the military will surely pay a fortune for the opportunity to harness Schnee power on the battlefield." Whitley explains himself, caring more about riches than the consequences of great power falling into power-hungry hands, just like his father.

"Not a good idea, kid. Family power sold for war can lead to disaster for the entire world." Harry rejected his idea.

"You Osborns know a thing or two about that." Whitley mocked, slightly annoying the Osborn heir, "Norman was not a responsible man. Allowed his own jealous mind be consumed by his own formula. He created the Goblin Nation that nearly destroyed himself and our worlds. I'm curious where you were during that fiasco."

"I was indisposed." Harry replied stoically, not revealing that he was killed by his own father.

"No doubt because of your father. How tragic for father and son to be in conflict. I express my apologizes to be born within an unruly family. Perhaps your lives would've been happier if you shared sympathizes with each other." Whitley smiled, still with a subtle condescending tone.

"I do sympathize with my dad, but not in the way you think. We don't have to behave like our fathers to earn their attention. We must strive to become our own men that wants to help them become better, even if they refuse to. That's what true love is. Got it, kid?" Harry retorted, lecturing Whitley to step away from his coldhearted father's shadow while trying to get him to lighten up by playfully ruffling his annoyed hair.

His brotherly advice does hit Whitley like a truck. His eyes widen in shock for a brief second before shifting to a cold, cross-armed demeanor that turns away in embarrassment. "Love…Delusional." He muttered, having never experienced such emotion in his life.

BGM-Marvel Future Revolution OST-Central City

"Hey, guys." Walking into the lab is Peter Parker and his smiling handwave, accompanied by his new friends from W.E.B., Helen and Chris Thorndyke, for a brief tour of this fused company.

"Pete, you made it. I assume these are your new friends." Harry happily smiles at his best friend.

"Yup. My first two engineers at W.E.B. Helen and Christopher Thorndyke, meet Harry Osborn and Whitley Schnee." Peter replied, introducing everyone to each other.

"A pleasure to meet you." Helen said, sharing a friendly handshake with Harry.

"So you're the heir of Thorndyke Industries. The software and housing company that held a considerable percentage of Mobius's computer market before the Convergence. Are you here for a more in-depth research on this company than what I did for yours?" Whitley asked, somewhat teasing Chris.

"Kinda. Pete told us all about Oscorp and I wanted to check out your inventions." Chris retorted with an embarrassed expression.

"We're not exactly Oscorp anymore, but sure. Whitley will give you a tour." Harry said.

"It will be my pleasure." Whitley expressed, gesturing the two WEB Engineers to follow him.

"Kid remind you of anyone?" Peter teased his best friend of how Whitley is basically Harry if he tried becoming the ideal son of Norman.

"Unfortunately. Glad I have friends like you otherwise I'd be stuck as Green Goblin Junior. That kid needs a social life. At least bond with his sisters. I'm a bit envious." Harry quipped, wishing for the Schnee son to live a happier life than he did.

"Daddy Dearest did a number on the family. Cared more about profiting from other kids than taking care of the ones in his own house." Peter replied.

"I'm working to fix all that." Harry stated.

"How? JacStache was only using his family. Married into the Schnees just for their wealth. He doesn't love them." Peter claimed, curious in how Harry plans to help the Schnees become a happy family.

"Never too late to form bonds. The one between the Osborns and Schnees was recent but strong." Harry countered.

"Only because your families hate each other. The dads anyway." Peter retorted.

"Right. Their pride hates any challenge for supremacy in anything. Want to think love is included in that equation. Just need a friendly nudge here and there. Beats creating a Universal Seed that led to creating cosmic neighborhoods ripe for conquest." Harry quipped.

"You heard?" Peter frowned, recalling how he learned of the Crossverse's creation during the recent Purifier incident.

"Ruby told Weiss, who told me during a ranting. That's another sin of the father I have to atone for." Harry sighed with guilt in his already burdened heart.

"You'll make things right. I'm here if you ever need me. I'm a friend of the Osborns and Schnees after all, for better or worse." Peter smiled, encouraging him with a friendly shoulder pat.

"I argue for the better. Thanks." Harry replied with appreciation for his assistance. Their friendly chat is then interrupted by a text message that Peter receives from his cellphone, prompting the Osborn CEO to ask, "What's up?"

"It's Yang. She wants me to meet her at Casinopolis. Says it's urgent." Peter answered.

"I smell a daaate." Harry teased, much to his friend's slight annoyance.

"Yeah right. A little soon and too awkward for the two of us to get back together. I'm perfectly fine being single for the next five years." Peter snarked, playfully pushing his friend back.

Harry laughs, "Not with your luck. I'll keep your pals company. Tell Yang I said hi.", before sharing a goodbye bro-fist with his best buddy.

"Sure thing." Peter gestured, walking out of the lab while his friends and Whitley continue having fun exploring OzSchnee.

Aboard the S.T.R.I.K.E. Tricarrier…

"Sup, Tails. Need us for somethin'?" Sonic asked, accompanied by America Chavez in his little catch up with Tails and Doctor Jemma Simmons.

"Want to show you it. We finally gained access into the Gap Junction." Tails announced excitedly.

"Gap Junction? We suppose to know what that means?" Sonic responded with confusion.

"That's what we've named the central void of the Crossverse. Professor Kokonoe of Azure Earth helped us create an entrance while you were busy fighting the Purifiers. She's a genius." Dr. Simmons smiled.

"That's where the Universe Tree is. Maybe a closer look will give us clues on the Obsidian King's next move." America believed with a stern arm-fold.

"I'm always up for exploring new places. Fire up a portal, Tails." Sonic winked, giving his pal the thumbs-up to lead them into a new adventure.

BGM-Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness OST-Book of Vishanti

Tails does what he was encouraged to do and uses his Dimensional Travel Watch to open a portal. As soon as it opened, the cosmic beauty that is the Gap Junction is revealed to them. A vast void resembling a pinkish-purple twilight sky filled with clouds and floating ruins either of mystical or technological origin. It's like Sky Sanctuary Zone in space. Sonic is the first to jump through the portal and land on glassy terrain followed by America and Tails before catching Simmons after she made her jump.

"We're here, everyone! This is the Gap Junction. The space between Cross Worlds." Simmons announced.

"And that over there is the Universe Tree." Tails added, pointing at their main concern in this sacred void. A gigantic tree the size of a galaxy. Its countless green leaves glowing bright with sparkling beauty, and its roots and branches connecting themselves to multiple dimensions through dimensional rifts far out in the distance. This is the Universe Tree. The Celestial Axis of the Crossverse.

"That's the…Universe Tree?" America uttered, staring in awe at its immense size.

"Whaaaaaaa, it's humongous!" Sonic exclaimed, more flabbergasted than his multiversal friend.

BGM End

The group head for another platform to get a closer look at the massive Universe Tree. There they interrupt a discussion between Reed Richards and Professor Kokonoe, the former who is happy to greet them. "You made it. Excellent work with the Purifiers." Richards congratulate Sonic on his recent successful mission.

"Hey, Mr. F. And you must be Kokonoe." Sonic greeted the interdimensional scientists.

BGM-BlazBlue OST-Premonition

"That's right. Nice to meet you, Hedgehog. Now don't get in my way. I'm in the middle of research." Kokonoe retorted with her typical rude mouth that enjoys sucking on a lollipop.

Sonic quips, "You're friendly. How's it going anyway? See Delta Team invited other geniuses from the other worlds for the biggest science project in the multiverse.", before noting the other otherworldly geniuses in the Gap Junction: Such as Miriel of the Archanea Space, Lady Palutena of the Skyworld Space, Alia of the Arcadia Space, and Demitri Maximoff of the Makai Space.

"We're together to determine the full effect the Universe Tree have on our worlds and have yielded some results. As I'm certain you have heard, this Neutronium Tree was born from the recollected remnants of Norman Osborn's Universal Seed, creating this unique plane outside spacetime that we have dubbed the Gap Junction." Richards said, starting to share his research with the group.

Kokonoe continues for her fellow scientist, saying, "Think of it as the hub of the Crossverse. All Cross Worlds are interconnected through here. Their energies entangled in a harmonious manner. Mix that up with the ISO-8 of the Tree and the Exo Stone catalyst for this crappy mess and you get Convergium. This whole space is brimming with it. The main source for all Cross Arts."

"That explains some things." Sonic commented, activating his Gravitational Charge power to aid him speeding around the Universe Tree.

"A gravity-based Cross Art with an energy signature reminiscent of the supervillain Graviton. Most of them seem based on individuals of parallel worlds." Tails theorized whilst scanning his best friend with his Miles Electric.

"What can you tell us of the Universe Tree itself?" America asked the scientists.

"It functions similarly to Yggdrasill of Asgardian lore on a multiversal scale. Our own dimensions would see it as a constellation, linking and managing the Seven Spaces through cosmic channels that resemble branches and roots. Its energy readings are also akin to the Jeweled Scepter from the Sol Dimension. We sent some scientists earlier to gather its data for comparison." Simmons answered this time.

"If this is the source of the Crossverse, what would happen if it's destroyed?" America inquired.

"The linked worlds will collapse into chaos. All of reality will cease to exist." Richards replied.

"Gotcha. No blowing up the giant tree." America quipped.

"We must devise a method that will undo the Crossverse without harming our worlds." Tails expressed with a pondering expression.

"I don't see why. It's basically a neighborhood. It's not hurting our worlds or anything." Sonic shouted from atop a large branch.

"You didn't know about the out-of-control rifts? My world was overflowing with the bastards." Kokonoe snarked.

"Fortunately, it would seem that problem is correcting itself." Reed stated with his handheld providing him realtime support for his claim, "The Universe Tree is an equivalent to a newborn baby with minor birth injuries, its wounds healing over time. The Crossverse is young and will reach maturity if handled with care. Conclusively, it is not a threat to us at the moment. I propose we shift our concerns in unmerging the Unified Universe and how to restore the lives and planets that were lost in the process."

"We can start construction on Anti-Convergence Engines immediately using Anti-Convergium as the main power source. But we need more data on its effects on living beings…" Kokonoe proclaimed with her own meditative look.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Creepy Space Tree

In the meantime, Sonic just arrived at the crown of the Universe Tree where his adventurous curiosity might get him into trouble. He walks through its massive forest of leaves admiring their color, their texture, their beauty. He stops for a moment to sniff their luscious, cosmic aroma that is borderline mesmerizing. Perhaps that was a naïve gesture for a hedgehog affected by residual Genesis Exo Stone energies as the Tree's cosmic energies shocks him with another Genesis Vision. This one shows him of a machine powered by Exo Stone energy and activated by a mysterious yet hauntingly familiar villain with a simple push of a button. The machine activates, causing the Convergence that merged their dimensions and formed the Crossverse using the Universe Tree.

The vision then stop as suddenly as it came, leaving Sonic disoriented enough to fall off the tree before his friends' worried eyes. "Sonic!" Tails shouted, flying to his rescue with a quick catch. "Are you okay?" He asked him.

"Yeah…Just a headache…" Sonic grunted.

"Told you not to anything stupid during my research." Kokonoe scolded, just as the hedgehog is safely dropped off beside the scientists.

"Sorry, sorry. Was just hit by another Genesis Vision." Sonic said.

"Another? What did this one tell you?" The curious Reed asked.

"That the Convergence was man-made. Someone used a machine that merged our worlds, powered by an Exo Stone. Kinda reminds me of Eggman's Genesis Wave." Sonic informed them.

"I suspected the Convergence wasn't natural. That led to the creation of the Crossverse as well. Did you see who caused it?" Reed asked another question that he hopes will get them closer to the truth behind this multiversal phenomenon.

"Couldn't tell. Definitely gave off a very bad vibe." Sonic replied unsurely.

"Bet it's the Obsidian King." America believed.

"This is what happens when you keep using the Exo Stones in succession. All eight will kill you. What other vision did you have before?" Kokonoe berated the reckless hedgehog, claiming these visions are a side-effect caused by his constant use of the Stones in recent adventures.

"Think it was the Obsidian King stealing the Star Stone for the first time. Stole it from some 'Utopia' world." Sonic responded, which strangely surprises America as if she's familiar with what he's talking about.

"Utopian Parallel." America proclaimed calmly, grabbing the interested attentions of her friends.

"Utopian Parallel? Never heard of a world like that in my research." Simmons remarked.

"That's because it was a dimension that existed outside the multiverse. My homeworld." America revealed.

"Your home?" Sonic retorted in shock, while also questioning, "And what do you mean by 'was'?"

"Think it's time you get my full story." America decided, readying herself to reveal her complete backstory.

Flashback…

BGM-Sonic Frontiers OST-Beyond the Past

A long time ago in a dimension outside of time and space, beyond the Multiverse, was a world considered the pinnacle of paradise. Utopian Parallel. 'Utopian Parallel was created by our god, Demiurge, using the power of the Star Stone. It was a thriving world. All of its inhabitants were women.' America Chavez narrates over her childhood. Recalling the peace it was imbued with. The women enjoying that peace with their friends and families. 'Some gifted with the power to traverse the multiverse thanks to the Stone's energies in the air. Yours truly included.' A kid America was recalled playing with flowers at a garden with her two mothers. A happy family they were. 'I was six years old when everything went to hell…' Out of nowhere, before America's widen eyes, a ginormous alien armada invaded the dimension and were quick to set it ablaze with their armaments. Their forces, comprising of Chitauri and Outriders, were deployed to continue with the bloodshed. Hundreds of Fuertonas were slaughtered. Much blood tainting the once-gorgeous flora. All overseen by the shadowy Titan-like leader of the invaders. 'The Obsidian King somehow found us and knew we were guardians of the Star Stone. My people did everything they could to stop him, but his armies were too much and too powerful. My mothers were the last defense…and they still couldn't stop him.' After killing America's parents, the Titan claims the Star Stone from its chamber and was quick to use it in demolishing Utopian Parallel. The dust settled and America found herself as a survivor in a dead world. An image that left her both traumatized and heartbroken to the point of crying aloud. 'Obsidian stole the Stone and used it to destroy my home. I was among the very few survivors, but I felt so alone…so angry…' Her tearful face transforms into a furious glare for vengeance. She opened a Star Portal and left her destroyed home. Growing up in countless other dimensions while finding the monster responsible for destroying her life. 'Everything was taken from me in a blink of an eye. I vowed to avenge my people, my parents, by hunting down and destroying the Obsidian King. Spent my whole life traveling between dimensions, mastering my powers and proving myself a hero while taking on Obsidian's armies wherever I can find them, until the day I can punch the big boss himself.'

Back in the Present…

"America…I'm so sorry…" Sonic frowned, empathizing with Miss America after she finished telling her backstory.

"A dimension outside the multiverse. A true shame what has become of it." Mister Fantastic commented somberly.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner your powers came from the Star Stone? Would've helped us find it and fix this damn mess sooner." The heartless Kokonoe scolds the outworldly alien.

"Because you didn't ask." America Chavez snarked, much to the beastkin's annoyance. "And it'd be a waste of time. If the Stone was in any world, I would've sensed it by now. Must be cloaked or something. But make no mistake. Once it shows up, the Obsidian King won't be far behind, and I'll personally put an end to him for good this time." She declared with all her heart and rage.

"Just be careful not to let vengeance blind you, otherwise all worlds will face the same fate as Utopian Parallel." Reed warns the multiversal alien.

"Many worlds have." America retorted grimly. "I'm not six anymore, letting others fight and die for me. I know how to control my power. No more worlds will suffer while I'm around." She vowed, implying to have survivor's guilt.

"What do you plan to do if we beat the Obsidian King?" Tails asked her.

"Dunno. Probably take a vacation somewhere. Hard to choose between 72 universes." America quipped.

"Check in at Mobius if we ever bring it back. I'll give you a worldwide tour." The smiling Sonic suggested.

"Lo pensare." America responded with a grateful smile that's liking the hedgehog more as a friend.

'Kokonoe, can you hear me?!' Suddenly, their conversation is interrupted by Iron Tager contacting the group urgently through the comlink.

"What is it, Tager? How's research on the Jeweled Scepter?" Kokonoe responded.

'It's terrible! The Murakumo Unit attacked us out of nowhere and is targeting the Angel Skyworlder!' Tager retorted, surprising the party.

"Pit!" Sonic exclaimed upon realizing his Smash Brother is under attack by Nu-13.

Coral Cave Zone, Blaze's World. Sol Dimension.

BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Assault

S.T.R.I.K.E. Agents are under siege by Nu-13 and her murderous swords in the undersea cavern that houses the Jeweled Scepter. Many agents fall and Pit isn't faring much better as he is quickly knocked down and would've been skewered if Blaze the Cat didn't come to his defense with erupting flames that deflect Nu's blades.

"Are you okay?" Blaze asked the angel.

"Just peachy." Pit quipped through his aching injuries.

Nu is caught off-guard by Iron Tager and his giant metallic hands pulling him to his grasp with magnetism to be a target for Inigo of Lucina's New Shepherds. The flirty mercenary wields Null Blade while running to slash the immobilized android, who quickly summons swords that stab both heroes in multiple joints and force Tager to let go of her just so she can throw him onto Inigo. Then comes Winter Schnee with a dashing ambushing attack that fails at its job and prompts her to pursue Nu in the air. Both engage in a high-speed clash, with Winter keeping up with her dual-blading, glyph-aiding skills. Nu fires blades that Winter narrowly backflips from with a glyph and cuts down a large ceiling crystal that wasn't close in falling on the Murakumo that shreds it to pieces without blinking an eye. But this was part of Winter's strategy, involving her using a Time Dilation glyph to speed herself up and bouncing around the falling debris to overwhelm the android. Nu has gained wounds but they don't faze her at all, not bothering to look at Winter upon blocking her double sword strike with just an arm. Only glancing at her when she kicks her hard to a wall. Her main target is Pit. And just before focusing on him, Nu is hit by a combined fire shot from Blaze and Pit's Twinbellows Cannon.

"Ah yeah! Direct hit!" Pit gestured proudly.

Naïve of him to think that was enough to defeat the Sword of Izanami. Nu rockets down from the smoke at lightning speed, crashing onto the ground with enough terrifying force for her Spike Chaser technique, sending out a massive wave of swords that knock both Blaze and Pit toward the rest of their team that are resting near the Jeweled Scepter. "Man…when did she get so tough? She was never this strong the last time I fought her." Pit complained.

"Seems to have enhanced herself with an energy similar to what's emitting from the Universe Tree." Tager noticed.

"ISO-8. She's adapting." Winter scowled, noting Nu's increased power.

"Cute yet deadly. One of my favorite types of women. I'll do you a favor and take her off your hands." Inigo smiles at Pit.

"Good luck. She's only attracted in killing Dimensional Avengers." Pit snarked.

Before continuing her assault on the heroes, Nu regenerates from her minor wounds while sensing a great power forming behind her, "Detecting spacetime distortion from Boundary variant."

It was a Star Portal she sensed that spits out Miss America throwing a flying punch at Nu. The android dodges it but wasn't fast enough to evade Sonic's sudden Spin Dash to the face, knocking her into a swift kick from America that gives space between her and the gathered heroes. "Sonic!" Blaze exclaims her surprise at his presence.

"Here for a piece of the action! You okay, Angel Wings?" The smirking Sonic asked.

"Now that you're here. You convince her to stop trying to kill me." Pit snarked.

"I'm not an expert in girls myself, ya know." Sonic quipped, taking the frontlines with America against the emotionless Nu-13.

BGM End

"So this robo-chica's Nu, huh? She doesn't look so tough." America said cockily.

"A priority target confirmed: Sonic the Hedgehog. Knew attacking one Dimensional Avenger would draw out the others. One step closer in becoming one with Ragna." Nu said robotically to the reinforcements.

"Don't recall joining the team. Just a tagalong to kick your metal butt." America quipped, which grabs Nu's curious attention.

"Unknown lifeform detected. Identifying…Scanning…Scanning…Scanning…Scan complete. Identity confirmed: America Chavez, aka Miss America. Last of the Starling Fuertonas of the Utopian Parallel. Capable of creating star-shaped portals into alternate realities. Threat level: High." Nu noted.

"How do you know so much about me? Guess the rumors were true that you're the Obsidian King's lapdog." America glared.

"Tell us where he is, Nu, and we'll go easy on you." Sonic threatened her.

"Request denied. Switching tactics." Nu retorted by opening and retreating through a dimensional portal.

"Pursue her! We need that information!" Winter ordered her fellow heroes.

"You're not getting away from us this time!" Sonic declared, joined by America and Pit's team as they pursue the Murakumo across dimensions, determined to capture her for that intel on the mysterious cosmic threat.

Back at New Vale City…

The impatient Yang is pretending to look at her watch while waiting for Peter outside of Casinopolis. From a distance, she hears him shout, "YANG!", and flinches at the sight of a car almost running him over while he rushes to meet her.

"About time you got here. Hear Casinopolis gets crowded at this time. Don't wanna miss out on the fun stuff." Yang teases her ex-boyfriend.

"Sorry, Yang." Peter apologizes through a frown.

"Just teasing. Come on, let's check this place out." Yang smiles, wrapping an arm around his back while the former lovebirds enter the colorful casino.

BGM-Sonic Adventure OST-The Dreamy Stage ...for Casinopolis

Casinopolis is like no other casino Peter and Yang have visited before. A large entertainment center with that classical casino feel yet with cartoonishly giant pinball machines that allows any guest to be the ball. "Whoa." Peter is amazed by this place and the amount of gambling-loving people it has attracted. But what really left him astonished is the giant golden statue of Sonic the Hedgehog in the middle surrounded by spotlights. "Is that a golden Sonic statue?" He questioned.

"His ego's celebrated in lots of casinos." Yang quipped.

"What're we doing here anyway? Your text said it was urgent." Peter inquired her.

"To make lots of money!" Yang retorted excitedly.

"You know I don't use my powers for personal gain." Peter glares with a disappointed arm-fold.

"Not even if it's for a good cause?" Yang teases him with a sly smirk.

"Like what?" Peter asked with a raised eyebrow of curiosity.

"Lots of people lost their homes to the Convergence and need the money to rebuild. Charities are being held throughout the world BEGGINGfor donations to feed the homeless. Who knows when our worlds will be separated. Could be never. Gotta use every advantage to help everyone now and in the future." Yang argued with smiling gestures of confidence.

"You make some good points…" Peter commented.

"I'm smart in my own way. Relax a little. Have fun experimenting new ways to help people. Best way for a hero-nerd like you to deal with stress." Yang smirked, giving him a playful elbow to his chest.

Feeling at peace for the moment thanks to her support, Peter smiles, "As usual, you know what's best for me. Where should we start?", before holding hands with his ex-girlfriend as they see what kind of fun they can find in Casinopolis together.

The virtual pinball machines are the star attractions of Casinopolis. One of them is Sonic-themed called 777 Slots. Peter quickly proves himself a master at this game, using his knowledge of physics to rack up an astonishing number of Rings while Yang cheers him on. His Parker Luck switches things up when the ball enters the slot machine, earning three Eggmans that steal lots of his Rings, much to Peter's embarrassment and Yang's humorous frustration. The next virtual game was Card & Pinball, with Yang deciding to be a daredevil with this one. She uses a teleporter that transports her into a ball that a reluctant Peter decides to play with, matching tons of cards and earning countless Rings all while Yang has a blast being flipped across the machine. Her fun was too overwhelming that she came out of the machine all dizzy and smiling, falling into Peter's arms where they share a hearty laugh.

"One more, please." Peter said during a game of blackjack, holding an 8 card and a 10 card.

"Son, that's plumb loco!" A fellow guest retorted, believing there is no way he can win this against the dealer.

Thankfully with his Spider-Sense, Peter has this game in the bag and gets a 3 card that wins him the game. "I don't believe it! Again?" The Dealer exclaimed in shock, giving the hero his chips.

"That's my Petey Poo!" Yang smiled, giving him a celebratory neck hug.

"PLEASE stop calling me that." Peter quipped, with a particular silver necklace resembling an atom particle being noticed by Yang around his neck.

"You're still wearing the good luck charm I got you." Yang commented, recalling gifting him the necklace for his recent birthday.

"Haven't stopped wearing it since my birthday. Reminds me that I'm the luckiest man in the world to have a friend like you." Peter smiled sincerely.

Blushing adorably from his comment, Yang quips, "That cost me a lot, ya know. Pay me back with some of your winnings?"

"How 'bout a job recommendation as a multiversal freelance photojournalist." Peter retorts with his own witty remark.

"Oooh, that sounds fun! Put in a good word for me at the Bugle." Yang grinned happily.

"As soon as that position becomes real." Peter joked.

Just then, two familiar friends enter the scene. One of them speaking with a British accent that recognizes the ex-couple enjoying themselves, "Hey look, it's our friends. Wasn't expecting them here."

Peter hears and sees her as Tiki in casual attire, joined by Kaine with his typical brooding look. "Hey lovebirds. Checking out the casino too?" He greeted his friends.

"Wasn't our original intention. We found ourselves here from the garbage dump after completing a mission involving the White Fang trying to rob this building. We made sure to clean up in their shower room before deciding to try out this gambling activity. Looks really fun." Tiki smiled.

"Just be careful not to get addicted." Yang joked.

"Forget about us. What are you punks doing? Are you on a date?" Kaine asked the ex-couple., who are immediately embarrassed by his question.

"N-No…No! No way! We're just…hanging out as friends that's all. That's about as legal as winning pinball." The flustered Yang managed to retort for the both of them.

Tiki giggles at their awkwardness, easily seeing through her lie and being happy for them. Kaine, of course, doesn't care about their feelings and just says, "Uh-huh. Be glad I don't care. Belladonna won't be happy seeing you with her boyfriend."

"We actually broke up." Peter corrected him.

"How did you mess it up THIS time?" Kaine exasperates, instantly annoyed at him losing another girlfriend.

"She broke up with me." Peter retorted, bickering with his clone brother.

"Probably cuz you did something stupid."

"Yes, inspiring her to become a better person was a dumb thing to do."

"You should take note. You're another scar away from making the Scar-Scar nickname appropriate." Yang chimes into their bickering with a smirk that teases the clone of his new facial scar, courtesy of Adam Taurus from their recent fight at Fort Stryker.

Kaine growls with clear scowling intentions to fight her. Thankfully, a sheepish Tiki intervenes before the two rivals cause a scene. "H-Hey, Yang! How about we go over here and teach me how to pin balls." She smiles awkwardly, dragging the huntress away so the Parker Brothers can be left alone for a while.

At the second floor of Casinopolis is a mechanical evil lion head and some pirate ships that the Parker Brothers are occupying for some peace and quiet. Peter sits atop a pirate ship and the cross-armed Kaine leans beside him, both having a good view of Yang teaching Tiki how to play pinball on the first floor.

"I'm happy for you." smiled Peter, garnering his brother's curious glare while telling him, "You and Tiki. You really care for each other. You out of everyone in the family earned this."

"Family…" Kaine scoffs with indifference toward that. "I dunno. Somedays I think she deserves far better than a complicated clone like me." He argued stoically.

"Don't I know the feeling." Peter frowned, staring somberly at Yang. "The fact that you're honest about yourself is a reason why she loves you. Never deny what's in your heart. Lying about love can make you sick." He advises his little clone brother.

"Love advice from the guy that just broke up with his 6th girlfriend?" Kaine snarked.

"Now that we're moving onto insensitive topics, how's that scar feeling?" Peter quipped.

BGM-Dragon Ball FighterZ OST-Spirit

Whilst touching his scar, the annoyed Kaine retorts, "Itching for payback on the bull that made it. Since Fort Stryker, I've been on missions trying to figure out the White Fang's next move until I found out they've formed an alliance with the Iron Hydra Empire."

"Those guys again. Is it true Mandarin's leading them?" Peter questioned, recalling from the Lifeline Tablet incident of rumors of that supervillain ruling Hydra.

"Sounds to be the case. They're up to something. Hydra, Iron Dominion, and the White Fang working together. Taking them down will be tough, but I'm not afraid." Kaine stated grimly.

"And how's Houston? Did your city survive the Convergence?" Peter asked another personal question.

"For the most part. Wish I can say the same about my hotel." Kaine answered, revealing he is now homeless.

"I'm sorry, Kaine." Peter frowned with increased guilt.

"Don't be. I'm perfectly fine staying with Jaune's sister for a while. But I know that's not enough to stop what's chewing you up." Kaine replied, casually realizing his brother's inner turmoil.

"So you've noticed. I don't really know how to explain myself, but I'm trying to research a way to fix all of this." Peter told him.

"You still feel responsible for the Convergence and all the lives it took, huh?" Kaine noted.

"And all the lives lost after the fact. Sienna Kahn being a recent example. But that's part of the problem. I need to make sure I'm strong enough to protect my loved ones when the Obsidian King invades. That's why I've been pushing myself lately. I want to learn more about this world and my own limits to determine the best course of action for our survival." Peter admitted.

"I see. So it looks like I didn't need to worry after all." Kaine responded calmly.

"Huh?" Peter remarked in confusion, wondering what his clone is implying.

"With the Masters of Evil running amok, I thought I always had to be on my guard. But if Grima or some new monsters show up, you're the only one that has what it takes to beat them. So I was thinking of…giving you a push in the right direction when you needed it. But I guess you didn't really need me to do that." Kaine elaborated with a contemplating stare, expressing his stern yet genuine desire to help his brother.

Happily, Peter smiles, "Oh, so that's what you mean. It makes me happy to hear you have so much faith in me."

"Hmph…" Kaine scoffed at such notions, before turning to his brother asking, "So, how do you plan on digging into this research? Just being a superhero scientist isn't going to cut it, you know."

"You're right. At times like this, I gotta remember that I'm also a huntsman. A warrior that's been weakened by the Convergence and hasn't unlocked his Cross Art yet." Peter replied shyly.

"Then just get stronger. Nothing's stopping you but yourself." Kaine retorted bluntly.

"What am I doing wrong?" Peter asked amidst a confused shrug.

"You love holding yourself back. Only showing your true power when lives are on the line. But when that isn't enough and those lives are extinguished, that feeling of failure starts killing you bit by bit. What you lack is mental fortitude." Kaine stated, pointing out his fatal flaw.

"Mental fortitude?" Peter commented.

"Tiki and Captain America have survived a lot of wars and lost a lot of allies and innocents to them. They even lost their own worlds in a way. Yet they haven't allowed death to overcome their focus and control of their ideals. You, on the other hand, you're still too emotional. A bleeding heart motivated by guilt and angry at death every time it denies him to be life's ultimate savior." Kaine elaborated.

"You might be right about that…Death has never been easy for me to reconcile with. Every time a person dies on my watch, I feel like I've failed my responsibility. Which makes the Convergence my ultimate failure. I don't deserve life after that, yet I'm still here. I can never forgive death for its stupid decisions. So…what should I do?" Peter wondered, implying to have survivor's guilt from the Convergence.

"Right…That's a tough one…Talk to Tiki and Rogers for starters, I guess. And maybe that old man that runs Beacon." Kaine suggested.

"Ozpin?" Peter remarked.

"Jaune's team told me he survived the destruction of his world once and feels as much guilt about that as you do with the Convergence, except he's hundreds of years old so he must've mellowed out somewhat. Don't like the bastard, but he might be able to provide some insight into the mental aspects of combat. How to deal with death." Kaine recommends to his older brother.

"Understood! I'll go ask Ozpin if he can help me out!" Peter acknowledged, standing up.

With their conversation over, Kaine unfolds his arms whilst walking away from his brother. "Take Xiao Long with you. Don't want distractions while I'm beating her winnings in pin-." He said, until a strange pain from within causes him to suddenly stop and collapse onto a knee.

"Kaine, what's wrong?" The concerned Peter exclaimed while rushing to check on him.

"Not again…Regain control…" Kaine scowled, clenching onto his aching chest and feeling his eyes catching fire because of his hellfire powers growing out of control again.

"You're not looking too good. Let's take you to W.E.B. to analyze the problem." Peter decided, wanting to know for himself what exactly has been bothering Kaine since the Convergence.

F.E.A.S.T., New Vale City.

BGM-Mega Man Star Force OST-Home Town

"Aunt May! We have more people coming in! One of them's interested in your wheatcakes!" shouted Ruby Rose, announcing her presence in the center while joined by a group of homeless people she escorted.

For days, F.E.A.S.T. has been extraordinarily busy and it has the Convergence to thank for its workload. Countless lives were lost and countless people lost their homes. They had nowhere else to go except FEAST and its kindhearted volunteers like May Parker and Vanilla the Rabbit that wants to help them get through these tough times. "Right this way, everyone! It's a little crowded, but we can manage!" May gestured, assisted by Chocola the Chao in leading the new arrivals across the crowded center.

Vanilla was in the middle of cleaning up the main room when she notices Ruby walking past her coughing. "Goodness. Are you okay?" The motherly Vanilla asked her.

"I'm fine, Miss Rabbit. Just need a breather." Ruby smiled, hiding the fact she caught a minor cold.

Seeing through her white lie, Vanilla checks her temperature to tell her, "Feels like you're catching a fever. Take a seat in May's office. I'll get you some tea and medicine.", before walking past Taiyang Xiao Long taking a little break himself from helping out in the center.

"Helping homeless is more exhausting than fighting Grimm. I need a vacation." Taiyang sighed.

"Excuse me, Mr. Xiao Long." Just then, both Cream the Rabbit and Cheese the Chao interrupt the huntsman to request his help, "A family wanted us to bring them more blankets but we don't know where they are. Can you show us?"

"Sure. Follow me." Taiyang smiled whilst helping the two Freedom Fighters.

Vanilla hums herself into the kitchen to make hot tea. While she does, she ignores her robotic defender, Gemerl, aiding Noel Vermillion in cooking a rather unique dish. "Question, Ms. Vermillion: Doesn't this caramel custard incorrect? Data states the pudding should be yellow, but this appears green." Gemerl speaks with a somewhat robotic tone while pointing out the pudding that looks like death itself.

"Oh, I guess it does! This is my first time making pudding, but I guess this is what it looks like before you steam it." Noel replied, completely oblivious to her abysmal cooking skills.

"Incorrect." Gemerl retorted.

"Have you made pudding before, Gemerl?" Noel asked her new robot friend.

"Not this variant. My scans indicate we're not even in the right ballpark." Gemerl said.

"It should be fine as long as we heat it all the way through. It's not like there's anything weird inside it that could hurt us or anything." Noel assured him.

"Well, there's not supposed to be…But something happened to make it appear this way. I fear for the health of our guests…" Gemerl commented.

Adorably, Noel smiles at him, "Gosh, Gemerl, you're such a worry-wart! It'll be fine! Sure, we've never made this before, but we at least know HOW to make it.", and continues perfecting her death pudding, "Now we just pour the egg solution into the cup on top of the caramel. Once it's steamed, we'll be all done! Oh, did you get the fruit topping ready?"

"Affirmative. Does that look okay?" asked Gemerl, showing her his fruit topping that looks heavenly compared to her hellish pudding.

"That's beautiful! Thanks, Gemerl. I'll start steaming the pudding now." Noel retorted excitedly.

"…I hope this is going to be okay." Gemerl sweatdrops, while Vanilla walks out of the kitchen with the tea and medicine.

"Here you go, dear." said Vanilla, handing the tray to Ruby in May's quiet office.

"Thank you." Ruby accepts her kindness by taking her medication and drinking her tea.

"Overworking yourself for the sake of others. You're just like Cream's friends." Vanilla compared with a proud smile.

"I'm a huntress. It's what we do. But lately it feels like that's not enough. There are just so many people that need help that it's frustrating not knowing how to give it to them. I can beat up monsters and supervillains no problem, but finding new homes for people? New jobs? How to live life in this new world? I don't have a clue." Ruby frowned, expressing her own problems that the Convergence have gave her to ponder on.

"You're an honest soul, Ruby. A simple spark can ignite hope and breathe fire into the hearts of the weary. That includes yourself." Vanilla claimed with encouraging words.

"I don't get it." Ruby responded, wondering what she means.

"Okay. Think of life as a garden and you the gardener. The flowers look tired but your love for life inspires you to tend to them. You keep caring for the flowers, feeding them, nurturing them, until they grow into a healthy blossom. All your hard work creating that beauty restrengthens the love you spent on the garden and inspires new ideas to help other gardens bloom. Just continue being yourself. Things will work out. And don't forget to take a break every now and then. Rest is an important part of growing up." Vanilla said, advising the young huntress to cherish her own life in order to help others.

"Thank you, Ms. Rabbit. I feel much better now." Ruby smiles gratefully at her motherly advice, before asking her, "Can I have some cookies, please?"

"Of course, dear." Vanilla giggled.

W.E.B. Headquarters, New Vale City.

"This is your new clubhouse? Couldn't have made your secret identity any more obvious?" Kaine snarked, lying on the bed of an advanced CT scanner.

"It was coincidental. Shut up and let me scan you so I can find out what's killing you this time." Peter quipped, joined by Yang and a concerned Tiki to figure out what is ailing the grim clone.

Peter activates the machine from a console, moving his clone inside it for a computed tomography scan that delivers detailed internal images of his body and the anomalies hurting him. "So what's ticking off copybug besides his terrible attitude?" Yang asked her ex-boyfriend.

"Anti-Convergium." Peter answered grimly. "Unlike most of us, Kaine's been infected with the exact opposite of Convergium Particles that's destabilizing his powers and causing his health to deteriorate. Explains his temper tantrum back at Fort Stryker." He explained, recalling Kaine losing control of his powers during his fight with Adam Taurus.

"Oh goody. My cellular degeneration is back with a vengeance." Kaine snarked dryly, coming out of the scanner with a clearly annoyed look.

"There's more. The Anti-Convergium is also eating away that magic seal Tiki made for you to help control your powers. If you're not careful, you'll completely lose control and go berserk." Peter added, also recalling Kaine's training during their Ylissean adventure.

"Then do us all a favor and dump blondie into the nearest garbage." Kaine sassed.

"You can't stomach me." Yang sasses back.

"Exactly." Kaine scowled.

"Why didn't you tell me you were sick?!" Tiki angrily asks her clone boyfriend, briefly shocking him with her concern.

"I didn't want you to worry. My life isn't important compared to saving dimensions." Kaine argued, brushing off her concerns.

"It's important to me!" Tiki retorted, causing a surprised Kaine to look away in shame for hiding his illness for days.

Just then, the computer shows Peter a mysterious anomaly that makes his eyes narrow down and his mouth saying, "This is interesting."

"What is?" Kaine asked, staring at him.

"Your Semblance. You know the original theory of people that can harness X-Factor energy can unlock two soul-based powers?" Peter reminded him.

"What's an X-Factor?" Kaine questioned.

"Renamed X-Auras. Blame her." Peter quipped, casually pointing at the sly-smirking Yang before continuing the original topic, "Your powers either allow you to transform into a Man-Spider or summon hellfire. But upon closer inspection through the Anti-Convergium, your hellfire wasn't produced from your own soul. It looks to have originated from another spirit that's linked to you."

"What the hell does that mean? Whose spirit?" Kaine retorted, demanding an answer.

"Lemme cross-reference the data." Peter decided. And after his quick research, the results he's staring at dumbfounds him to the point of his eyes widening at them. "Oh hell…Kaine…You're bonded to a Spirit of Vengeance." He revealed to the whole party.

Both Yang and Tiki gasp in utter shock at this revelation. But none were more shocked than Kaine himself. Stunned from mind to soul to learn that he is the host of an immensely powerful demon that desires absolute control over his body. "I'm a…Ghost Rider…?" Kaine uttered in absolute bewilderment.

"How did this happen?" Yang quickly asked her ex-boyfriend.

"I dunno! I'm not a wizard! I was joking about this before. Didn't think he was ACTUALLY a Ghost Rider." Peter quipped, recalling making that joke during the Spider-Virus incident.

"So from my understanding, this demonic spirit is the source of Kai-Kai's illness. Trying to control him from the inside out." Tiki frowned, maintain a calming focus on this situation.

"Basically. But I'm no exorcist or know much about Ghost Riders besides their love for motorcycles." Peter quipped. But then he ponders a solution that might help his brother combat this inner threat, "But I do know a Sorcerer Supreme that can write you a prescription for your inner demons. He should be available for walk-in appointments. Be on your best behavior and you'll be fine, little bro."

Kaine growls with annoyance at the little brother tease and needing assistance from the Sorcerer Supreme but recognizes that he has no choice. The uncontrollable power of the Ghost Rider is coursing through his soul and the Anti-Convergium is destroying his body. If nothing is done about this, this unified world will enter a new age of hell.

BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Gallery

KFX Here: Quite a lot happened in this chapter. We learned more of America's backstory and how the three main heroes (Spider-Man, Sonic, Ruby) are dealing with life and death their own way. Again, life, death, chaos, balance, those are all a major theme in this story. But for now, those guys will be unimportant. It's time for a brand-new story arc new to this remake. Something I've been teasing for some time. It is called: The Devil Arc! Starring Scarlet Spider, Shadow the Hedgehog, Team JNPR, and Jin Kazama. A mini storyline based on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with elements from the video game Shadow the Hedgehog and other devilish Marvel comics such as Damnation. The epic conclusion to Scarlet Spider's story that started in Spider-Island RX.

Next Time: Ghosts and Devils! Start of the Hell Mission!

Please leave a review that'll tell me what you thought of this chapter! What did you like? What didn't you like? Would really appreciate the feedback.
