At the food court
Dade, Kate, and Robin met up with Nagira and Sarah,
"How did you guys make out?" Nagira asked,
"We'll still have a few things to get for our dressed, how about you guys?" Kate asked.
"Got a camera." Nagira explained,
"Yeah, we got a couple good shots in already." Dade holding up a disposable camera, he took a couple of shots of Nagira, Sarah, Robin, and Kate.
"Here let me take some of you all together Nagira grabbing the camera, Dade hung his arms around Robin and his sister's shoulders.
"Okay, lets eat guys, we still have shopping to do." Nagira coming and sitting next to Sarah and Robin,
"Amon was here, he was in the tux place getting fitted." Robin softly. Nagira thought about it,
~It's going to happen at the Christmas dance, why else would Amon get dressed up for the occasion.~ Nagira had a sad expression on his face but he remained quiet. Robin looked at Nagira, she knew by the look on his face,
~The Christmas dance.~ Robin glancing at Kate and Dade, Robin held Nagira's hand,
"We have time left." Robin softly, Dade looked at Robin, she glanced Dade, he shook his head.
"No." Dade softly,
"I'm sorry." Robin turning to look at her pizza, Dade jerked up and walked away,
"What's wrong with him?" Kate asked,
"Don't know." Robin slowly eating her pizza.
After Lunch
"I wonder where Dade ran off to." Robin softly,
"My guess is he is at the games, come on lets find some shoes." Kate having left their bags with Nagira. They found the 'perfect' shoes,
"We should find some make up for you." Kate seriously,
~Makeup, I don't wear the stuff though, but I guess I could, its not about me, it's about everyone I am leaving behind too.~ Robin thought to herself.
"Sure, why not?" Robin smiling a little, they walked to the makeup center and tried some makeup on. Dade came walking up behind them,
"Guess you are a sucker for shopping with my sister huh?" Dade softly, Robin turned and hugged him.
"I'm sorry, don't let Kate know please." Robin whispered. Dade embraced her in his arms for a few minutes,
"I won't, you have nothing to be sorry about Robin." Dade whispered. Slowly they pulled away, finally they were finished with the makeup, Kate of course made Dade carry the bags. Finally, they started shopping for swimming suits, when they finally found some, they went walking around the mall.
"Why don't we go and get our pictures taken in that photo both thing." Dade pointing it out to the girls.
"Good idea." Kate smiling, they all crammed into the tiny booth, Dade had Robin in his lap and Kate sat next to Dade, they had a couple regular smiling serious photos and a couple of silly photos. When they all finished, Dade grabbed the bags and Kate grabbed the pictures,
"Not bad." Kate showing the pictures to Robin, she smirked,
"Best friends." Robin rubbing the strip of pictures softly.
"Hey guys, are we all ready to go, we still have one more place to stop." Nagira staring at something behind Robin, she knew who it was, she turned her head to the side just a little and could see him out of the corner of her eye.
"Let's go dad." Robin walking away. Amon watched her walk away,
~Now you know, I'm sorry Robin, it has to be this way.~ Amon thought to himself.
Back at Nagira's Place
"You guys go get changed, I'll go start up the grill." Nagira explained. Dade followed Nagira, outside Dade grabbed Nagira's shoulder,
"What is it Dade?" Nagira asked,
"Can you keep these for me?" Dade asked as he gave Nagira two boxes. Nagira stared at Dade,
"They are for Robin." Dade seriously.
"Of course, you know, don't you?" Nagira softly, Dade turned away,
"It all goes down at the ball." Dade quietly said. Nagira put the boxes in his pants pocket and watched Dade walk away, he knew Dade had fallen in love with her.
"I'm sorry Dade." Nagira going and finding grill and carrying it to the beach. A few minutes later Kate came running full speed and ran into the ocean, followed by her brother and Robin, Sarah was smiling as she came out in her two-piece swimming suit, Nagira turned around,
"Hey beautiful you look good." Nagira wrapping an arm around her waist.
"Well, you're the one who picked it out, so I guess you have good taste." Sarah laughing. Robin never came back up from the water,
"Uh, can Robin swim?" Kate shouted,
"No why?" Nagira getting caught up in Sarah's heavenly smell. There was a loud splash from next door,
"Shit, Robin." Nagira running into the ocean, Amon had beat everyone out to Robin, he got her up and took her to land, it had been closer to Amon's place. He listened for a heartbeat as he checked for one in her neck, there wasn't one.
"Damn it, Robin." Amon pumping her chest, he held her nose and gave her mouth to mouth.
"Come on Robin, you can't die on me, not now." Amon pumping her chest, he gave her mouth to mouth again, his heart was beating too fast as adrenaline flooded his system.
"Robin, come on, damn it, don't do this to me." Amon hissed out, he found that pumping her chest wasn't doing anything, so he balled up a fist and beat her chest one good time, Robin's neck arched back as water spewed from her tinted blue lips. Slowly she looked around and found Amon hovering over her, she saw he was out of breath, water dripped from his semi long hair that hung in his face.
"What are you…" Robin being interrupted,
"Why the hell would you jump into water when you don't know how to swim?" Amon hissed out, he carefully brushed her hair back, he had found she had hit her head, he wasted no time in ripping his shirt off. He pressed it to her head, she hissed out, she could see and feel him shake.
"Are you alright?" Robin sitting up, he nodded, he stared at her,
"I know Amon, it will be all over at the dance." Robin quietly,
"Why else would you dress for the occasion?" Robin turning her head away from him. She slowly got up and walked away,
"Why save me when you are to kill me after all this?" Robin turning her head,
"Robin." Amon about to give her an explanation,
"Yeah, I know, it's your job." Robin turning around and screaming at him.
"You know good and well that I am not a danger to anyone, it I was, I would have killed everyone that I love by now." Robin staring him down. Amon closed his eyes,
~She is right, I have no excuse to kill her, but Solomon is tracking her right now. Every time she uses her power, they will be waiting for her outside of that school. I have to kill her, it's the only way that I can get her out of this.~ Amon still shaking. Robin left Amon there, she joined back with Kate and the rest of them.
"You okay Robin?" Dade holding her waist,
"Yeah, I am now." Robin turning her head a little, he was staring at her. Dade stared him down, he gave Amon a nod, Amon nodded back.
~I could never love you Robin, not the way you need to be loved.~ Amon turning away and going back to his place.
