Chapter 2
The Super Stars made their way to the guild hall of Harmony Wing in the mountain town of Harmonia with their new friends.
Blaziken carried Primarina up the mountain as he placed her down in front of the building.
Primarina: I am grateful for your kindness.
Blaziken: No problem.
Lucario: Now. Then, welcome to Harmony Wing you two.
Roserade: Wow!
Lucario walked up to the door and kicked it open.
Lucario: WE LIVE!
Umbreon: Did you guys miss us?!
The guild was filled to the brim with several Pokemon who greeted them.
Roserade and Primarina smiled with excitement.
Dewott: So word is you guys got in a fight on the train here. Can't stay out of trouble-
Lucario ran up to Dewott and kicked him away in the face.
Roserade: What the heck was that about?!
Lucario ignored Roserade as he was mad at Dewott.
Lucario: You made up that info about my mom! I'm going to kick your butt!
Dewott got up from the mess he was buried under.
Dewott: Don't go blaming me! It's not my fault! I'm just spreading a rumor I heard!
Lucario: IT WAS JUST A RUMOR?!
Dewott: YOU WANT A FIGHT?!
Lucario: LETS GO!
Lucario striked Dewott with an Ice Punch as the Discipline Pokémon was sent crashing through a bunch of other Pokemon.
Umbreon: Come now, Lucario. I think you should calm-
A big Mudsdale was bumped into Umbreon who was sent bouncing all over the place where Blaziken kicked the Draft Horse Pokemon away as Zebstrika butted heads with a Rapidash.
Roserade: Now these are my kind of Pokemon!
Primarina: It's very… lively, I can say.
Gallade: So that pesky Lucario has returned, huh?!
This was Gallade. A member of the team the Blade Masters. And he had a rivalry with Lucario.
Gallade: Get over here and fight me, Lucario!
Lucario: Wait your turn!
A Hawlucha then jumped on top of a table full of himself.
Hawlucha: It's still morning and you two are already at each other's throats!?
This was Hawlucha. He's the leader of the Winged Warriors. He is also a bit full of himself.
Hawlucha: Come on! I bet I can beat you both with both hands tied behind my back!
Roserade: Well he's already annoying.
Lucario and Gallade punch out Hawlucha easily.
Roserade: Weak!
Salazzle: Hah! You are nothing but a bunch of brutes.
Salazzle, the very same Salandit, approached with Golem and Obstagoon.
Golem: Yeah! You tell them! Bunch of weaklings!
Obstagoon:...
While Golem followed Salazzle around like a loyal servant, Obstagoon remained quiet.
Golem: Come on Obstagoon, tell them who's-
Lucario batted Golem away with Bone Rush.
Salazzle: You damn, jackal!
Lucario whacked Salazzle with Bone Rush.
Obstagoon walked away.
Roserade: Well that was something. What is wrong with these Pokemon? There's not a single sane one here.
?: Hello. Are you two new?
Roserade and Primarina turn around and see a female Lopunny.
Roserade: Y-Y-Y-You're… You're….
Primarina: You're Lopunny! THE Lopunny!
Roserade: Woah, Primarina, never thought I saw this side of you.
Primarina: Sorry, it's just she made herself famous in the musical world!
Primarina brought out a magazine that featured Lopunny where there was a picture of Lopunny dancing in a dancing competition where she won First Place for the 100th time.
Lopunny: Well what can I say. There's more to a Rescuer than what the job does.
Roserade: Didn't know you were into this.
Primarina: I have my tastes.
Umbreon then landed in between them all dizzy after being sent flying.
Roserade: Uh, should we do something about this?
Lopunny: Oh this is normal. They fight almost every day. And besides-
A massive Magnezone was sent crashing into Lopunny as she was crushed underneath him.
Lopunny: It's more fun this way!
Lopunny faints as a big Coalossal pushes past Roserade and Primarina.
Coalossal: Magnezone! Attack Bomb Squad!
This was Coalossal. Leader of the Bomb Squad. As the name says, they're bomb experts of blowing stuff up.
Roserade picks up Umbreon as she uses him as a meat shield.
Roserade: When will they stop?!
Umbreon snaps out of it.
Umbreon: Oh, this? Who knows.
Roserade: You don't seem to worry!
Umbreon: Because he's back.
Primarina: Who's back?
As if on cue, a massive shadowy figure broke the entire roof off.
Giant: YOU CHILDREN STOP FIGHTING THIS INSTANT!
Everyone went quiet as Roserade dropped Umbreon in total shock where Lopunny was back up all better.
Lopunny: Welcome back, Master!
Roserade: Wait, that's the master?!
Master: And you two?
Lopunny: New recruits.
The Master let out a powerful yell as he raised the roof above his head and shrunk down as the roof fell back on top of the building as the master was revealed as a Grimmsnarl.
Roserade: What the heck?! Who is this?!
Lopunny: Primarina, Roserade, meet the Guild Master, Grimmsnarl. What you saw was his Gigantimax form.
Grimmsnarl stretched as he leaped onto the top floor of the guild only to hit his back on the railing as he climbed over it.
Grimmsnarl then brought out a stack of paper.
Grimmsnarl: You brats got me in trouble again! The Royal Family got onto me for all the messes you have caused! This is the biggest stack of complaints yet!
Everyone was silent only for Grimmsnarl to smirk.
Grimmsnarl: But I say those two majesties can just take a hike!
Grimmsnarl uses Burning Jealousy to destroy the complaints as the stack of paper was burned away.
Grimmsnarl: As both Pokemon and Rescuers, we must surpass our own limits and take risks. Or else we falter and fail. Even if we lose, we must learn from those losses so we can improve ourselves. We must also care for those who are weak and fragile.
Salazzle: Heh. *whispers* Who cares about the weak and fragile.
Golem: *whispers* Yeah.
Obstagoon still remained silent.
Grimmsnarl: But most importantly, we must always remember where we come from and that this entire guild is a massive family. The bonds we make make us stronger. And that is why Harmony Wing is NUMBER 1!
Everyone cheered, neighed, and or roared as Roserade and Primarina were excited.
Later, after everything was cleaned up and put back, Lopunny gave Roserade and Primarina their badges.
Roserade: Hey, wait a moment. Ours are different compared to the boys.
Roserade remembered when they saw the Super Stars show their badges and they were pure gold. Roserade and Primarina's badges were just plain.
Lopunny: That's because the four of them achieved the highest rank. Grand Master. Since you two are starting out, you start at the bottom with the rank of Rookie. Then after some experience, you'll be promoted to Normal, then to Bronze, after that is Silver, and so on.
Primarina: How many ranks are there?
Lopunny: Counting the ones I brought up as well as Rookie and Grand Master, there are a total of 12 ranks. With Grand Master being the highest.
Primarina: We really have a long way to go.
Lopunny: Since you two are starting out, I recommend either small jobs or perhaps teaming up with those more experienced. Of course you'll take a split pay.
Roserade: Let's talk to Lucario. Maybe we can sign up with the Super Stars.
Grimmsnarl: Sorry but you'll have to wait.
Grimmsnarl was sitting at the front counter drinking a mug of wine.
Roserade: Don't tell me. We need to rank up and gain more experience.
Grimmsnarl: No. Because he, Blaziken, Zebstrika, and Umbreon already went out to find a missing team. Took some of the Water Pokemon on their team.
Lopunny: Yes. And I believe one of them is Milotic.
Grimmsnarl: Hmmm… Which team did they go rescue?
Lopunny: It was Froslass and her team. They went on a mission but sent a message requiring backup at Valor Lake.
Grimmsnarl: Valor Lake. If I remember, the legendary Pokemon, Mesprit, lives there. That explains Milotic.
Roserade: Is she good or something?
Lopunny: She was originally a pirate who Lucario recruited as a subleader for Water Pokemon in the Super Stars. If Lucario is bringing her along, it must mean something big is happening.
Grimmsnarl: Samurott!
Samurott, who was a Hisuian variant, was second in command of the Blade Masters.
Grimmsnarl: When will Sceptile return from her solo mission?
Samurott: Not soon enough.
Grimmsnarl: Go to Valor Lake with a group. Lucario brought Milotic with him. So the Super Stars might need extra help!
Samurott: Understood!
At Lake Valor, Lucario arrived with his team along with Milotic, Swampert, Vaporeon, and Blastoise.
Lucario looked around and saw signs of a battle of ice and fire as he motioned his team to follow.
Roserade: Quick question, earlier Lucario lashed out at Dewott about lying about his mom. What's that about?
Swanna: Allow me.
Swanna walked into the guild.
Swanna: Nice to meet you two. I'm Swanna. I run the inn nearby.
Primarina: A pleasure to meet you.
Roserade: Likewise. So what's your relationship with Lucario?
Swanna: *Sigh* Years ago, I found him outside my inn as a small Riolu. His mother left him there for reasons unknown.
Roserade: So you raised him. But who is his mom?
Lopunny: This might be hard to believe, but his mother is none other than Zacian.
Roserade and Primarina were shocked by this reveal.
Roserade: Wait, Zacian, as in, THE Legendary Pokemon?!
Lucario and his team found Froslass and her team Mr Rime and Sneasler as Samurott, Gallade, and their team arrived.
Swanna: From what he told me, Zacian found Lucario when he was just an egg and raised him ever since he hatched.
Primarina: Then why leave him here?
Swanna: I don't know. But he's hoping one day to find her so they can be reunited as well as have answers. But for now, all we can do is hope Lucario finds his lost mother.
Lucario and Samurott were discussing the situation.
Lucario: So Froslass and her team were sent here to Lake Valor but for what reason? And why were Fire Types here?
Samurott: I don't know. Perhaps it could be tied to Mesprit. The legendary found here.
Lucario: Then let's find her before them.
Out of nowhere, a Flamethrower attack was fired towards them as the two barely dodged it.
Lucario: Look alive, everyone!
An army of Magby, Magmar, and Magmortars charged from the bushes with an ambush where they were led by a massive Emboar with two Centiskorch by his side as he held Mesprit in his hand.
Emboar: Destroy every last one of them! For the mighty, Dialga!
Gallade: Great, we're dealing with a cult!
Gallade cut down several Fire Pokemon with Aqua Cutter.
Samurott was using Ceaseless Edge as he fired Hydro Pump.
Samurott: Could be that! We must rescue Mesprit!
Lucario dashed through with Blaziken as the two powered their way through towards Emboar.
Lucario: Emboar is mine! You take care of the bugs!
Blaziken: Done!
Zebstrika was using High Horsepower to ram through every Fire Pokemon in his way.
Umbreon: Foul Play!
Umbreon used the powerful Dark Type attack as he used the power of the Fire Pokemon against them.
More Fire Pokemon attacked as they all fired Flamethrower.
Umbreon: Please.
Umbreon used Dig as he burrowed underground.
Magmar: Where'd he go?
Magby: I don't know!
Umbreon appeared underneath the Fire army as the ground erupted below.
Male Absol from the Blade Masters fired Psycho Cut onto more Fire Pokemon as female Bisharp followed up with Slash.
Absol: The Dark Bladed Duo.
Bisharp: Will end you.
Absol formed Night Slash as Bisharp formed her own Night Slash as they cut through countless Magmortar.
Milotic: Alright crew! Let's show them what the Water masters of the Super Stars can do!
Milotic, Vaporeon, Swamper, and Blastoise all fire Hydro Pump where several Magby, Magmar, and Magmortar fire Flamethrower.
The two sides canceled each other out as Vaporeon and Swampert approached.
Vaporeon and Swampert: Muddy Water!
The two cast the powerful Water attack as the Fire Pokemon were swept away.
Blastoise: Hydro Cannon!
Blastoise aims his two massive cannons and fires Hydro Cannon from both as the blasts erupt when they made contact onto the Fire Pokemon.
Milotic: Ice Beam!
Milotic fired the Ice attack as the water eruption froze and trapped the Fire Pokemon inside.
Milotic: Now… DRAGON TAIL!
Milotic charged and slashed through the frozen eruption where it exploded behind her.
All the Fire Pokemon hit the ground defeated.
Blastoise: Rain Dance.
Blastoise formed the clouds above as the fire on the battlefield went out as all Fire attacks became weaker.
Vaporeon then found some flowers and picked them as he approached Milotic.
Vaporeon: Hey uh, Milotic, will you uh, I mean, well, these are for you!
Vaporeon offered the pink flowers as Milotic took them and gave them a sniff.
Milotic: Thank you. They smell lovely.
Lucario and Blaziken made it to Emboar and his two Centiskorch.
Blaziken: Alright, insects, I'll be your opponent!
Blaziken led the two Centiskorch away as Lucario stared down Emboar.
Lucario: Let her go, now!
Emboar: Very well. CATCH!
Emboar tosses Mesprit where Lucario dashed quickly and caught her.
Mesprit was badly injured as Lucario held her where Emboar charged towards Lucario with Heat Crash.
Lucario jumped as he dodged and formed Bone Rush in one paw as he carried Mesprit in the other.
Lucario: Oldest trick in the book!
Lucario slashed down behind Emboar's back as he dashed through with Bone Rush dealing more damage.
Emboar: I am going to crush you and then take that little pipsqueak with me!
Blaziken was dodging the two Centiskorch left and right as the two were using Flame Wheel all over the place.
Blaziken: (I know they won't do much damage to me and thanks to Rain Dance, will do less harm, but I rather not get hurt regardless)
Blaziken kept dodging, unable to land a hit with the two Centiskorch continuously using Flame Wheel.
Blaziken then noticed how wet the ground was now due to Rain Dance.
Blaziken: Perfect!
Blaziken jumped up to dodge as the two Centiskorch crashed into each other.
Blaziken: Thunder Punch!
Blaziken dived down and struck the ground with Thunder Punch where the water conducted the electricity and electrocuted the two Centiskorch.
Blaziken: Now then.
Blaziken used Aerial Ace to send both skyward as Blaziken leaped into the air and used Aerial Ace to fly around and strike the Centiskorch all over the place.
Blaziken then used Thunder Punch.
Blaziken: This is going to hurt.
Blaziken combined Thunder Punch with Aerial Ace and divebombed the two Centiskorch into the lake where a massive surge of electricity erupted throughout the water.
Lucario was still holding Mesprit and wielding Bone Rush at the same time while Emboar was using Hammer Arm to overwhelm him.
Emboar: Hold still!
Lucario: You're like all the rest. Caring only about overwhelming power and not thinking about the consequences of what moves like Hammer Arm can do.
Emboar's speed was getting slower and slower every time he used Hammer Arm where Lucario struck Emboar with Bone Rush.
Emboar: I've had it with you!
Emboar used Overheat where Lucario spun Bone Rush around to block it.
Emboar fired Overheat again where Lucario dodged it.
Emboar: (He's using only one move while caring Mesprit at the same time. I should be winning!)
Emboar kept firing Overheat several times only for Lucario to either block or dodge while Emboar's Special Attack power was dropping.
Lucario used his free paw and fired Aura Sphere as Emboar fired Overheat again only for Aura Sphere to overpower it and strike Emboar.
Lucario: You used Overheat too many times and lowers the strength of all Special Attacks.
Emboar: You little…!
Emboar used Stomping Tantrum where the power was increased due to the failed attack.
The shockwave fired out where Emboar powered up.
Emboar: NOW DIE!
Emboar used Head Smash and charged through.
Lucario stabbed Bone Rush into the ground as he catapulted himself forward and used Meteor Mash.
Lucario overpowered the shockwave and flying stones of Stomping Tantrum as he kept protecting Mesprit.
Emboar: YOU… MAGGOT!
Lucario let out a yell as the two clashed and caused a powerful shockwave that cleared away Rain Dance.
As everything died down, Lucario remained standing as Emboar was defeated.
The clouds then formed together and created an actual rainstorm as all the fire was extinguished.
All the Fire Pokemon were defeated where Bisharp and Absol were tending to Froslass, Mr. Rime, and Sneasler.
Milotic: Where's Blaziken?
Blaziken walked out of the water carrying both Centiskorch.
Blaziken: Right here.
Lucario walked over to Milotic who examined Mesprit.
Milotic: We should take her back home with us. These injuries are very severe.
Lucario nodded.
Lucario: Swampert!
Swampert approached.
Lucario: Think you can carry Froslass and Rime on your back?
Swampert: Consider it done.
Blaziken: I'll carry Sneasler.
Blaziken dropped the two Centiskorch and picked up Sneasler as Swampert had both Froslass and Mr Rime on his back.
Lucario: Milotic, I want the rest of you to help Samurott with the mess.
Milotic: Understood.
Lucario and his group left, leaving Milotic, Vaporeon, and Blastoise with the Blade Masters.
Samurott: I'm surprised you haven't mocked Lucario for needing help yet, Gallade.
Gallade: I would. But after what we just fought, I don't see a single team on their own pulling this off.
Lucario and his group were making his way towards the guild where far off on top of a cliff, a group was seen watching them.
Male Ghost: You sure you don't want to see him?
Female Fairy: No. It's best he doesn't get involved with what we're doing.
