Times Square, the very hub of New York City, is famous for its numerous bright towers and festivals. One part of New York which is seldom quiet. Though in recent events, the streets were eerily silent and desolate with most noise coming from yelling people, explosions in the distance, and the numerous helicopters from multiple news stations trying to report the mayhem.

The very person responsible for all the destruction, not just in New York, but in many battles and casualties that were taking place across the Earth was standing in the quiet street facing a brave child who she figured had no idea what he was getting himself into.

"This is Carrera Rivers, coming to you live from Broadway!" there was a blonde, light-skinned woman reporting from a helicopter as the two Pyrus battlers were standing, about to engage in battle. "This invasion of Earth continues to cause all sorts of devastation and destruction, not just here but across the world. And it seems the only ones capable of fighting them, seem to be... children!" the helicopter was hovering closer, and the flapping of the rotors was irritating Yukiko's fox ears.

The High leader broke the silence. "To be honest, I'd be happier but from what I'm hearing... the Fabregan Royal Guard has been trashed all over the world. And I haven't even heard from Queen Rena in a while."

"Just stop this!" Cameron pleaded. "You have nothing to gain from this fight!"

Yukiko's previous smirk turned into a glare. "Nothing...? What do you know about 'nothing', human?" Her pupils shifted toward Kyubis and the Fox was sprinting to Blazeon. "You know who has nothing? All the Fabregans and Alursians who lived on Fabrega. They lost their home, and are sitting in orbit, hoping that we can provide them with a home. What am I going to tell them, when I come back and say: 'The Humans didn't want us, so we'll just find another place.' I asked the humans for assistance, and they said no, and attacked us for good measure. So, since the humans replied with force, we repaid the favor and then some. We asked for their generosity, now we demand their surrender."

"Give it up, Cameron," Blazeon said. "There's no way you're getting to her. Just beat her quickly so we can all end this and go home!"

Blazeon: 950 / Yae Kyubis: 900

Cameron extended his wings as both he and Blazeon took to the skies. "Ok... here goes! Ability Activate, Nova Wing!" their wings were engulfed in flames and when flapping them forward, they sent orange rings of fire down to Yukiko and Kyubis.

Blazeon: 950(+400)= 1350 / Yae Kyubis: 700

They watched as the two were engulfed in a fiery explosion, blowing a huge amount of energy into the sky. Cameron looked within the flames to see Yukiko swiping the flames away from her while she and Kyubis looked unharmed making Cameron snarl in frustration.

"Not even a scratch!"

"My turn~!" Yukiko sang as she leaped up toward Cameron while she held both her swords. He didn't have time to react as he crossed his wrists together in a rushed defense.

"Nogisune Slash!" Her blades were cloaked in black fire and managed to twirl horizontally in the air, confusing Cameron and Blazeon. Cameron's dragon wrists were slashed by the fiery blade. This was enough to send him falling through a sign that was advertising 'Hamilton'. He slowly rose to his feet and saw that Blazeon was fighting off Yukiko who was leaping from building to building while trying to get a clean cut on his partner.

Blazeon: 1350(-400)= 850 / Yae Kyubis: 700(+500)= 1200

In front of him, he could see Kyubis staring him down with a slight growl. "Ok, that hurt... but I'm far from being down and out! Ability Activate, Dragon Edge!" Cameron covered himself in burning blue flames as he sped to the fox.

Blazeon: 850(+400)= 1250 / Yae Kyubis: 1200(-400)= 800

As Cameron charged forward, the cuts on his wrists were igniting black fire, making him wince in pain, his power also dropped by 300Gs, putting him at 950. Nevertheless, he put as much energy as he could into the attack and went for a punch, to which Kyubis effortlessly craned her neck in his direction, slapping him into a bakery.

"You misunderstand, human. Yukiko's ambition is unmatched, it was part of the reason that we managed to evolve. Our bond is special, what can you and your foul-mouthed dragon do?" Cameron managed to walk out of the bakery and saw a shadow growing around him.

"WHAT!?" he narrowly leaped out of the way as Blazeon crashed into the building, reducing the surrounding city block to demolished rubble.

Yukiko dropped beside Kyubis. "Now, now Kyubis... we can't underestimate them. Remember how powerful we needed to get to make it this far."

"Of course."

Blazeon roared as he shot himself out of the rubble. "Ok, Vixen! You get that one for free!" Cameron was seen climbing out of the wreck and wobbled around in a dazed state.

"N-no thank you... I don't want complimentary anchovies on my steak..." he shook his head and saw Yukiko looking at him and Blazeon with a smirk. "She's just brushing off our attacks. And it's too soon to bring out the Ascended Power. We'll just find a weak spot!" He held up two cards. "Together Blazeon! Double Ability Activate! Neo Hummer!" Cameron covered himself in a red aura and ran circles around both Kyubis and Yukiko. Despite gaining 100Gs he lost a further 300Gs subtracting his power level to 750Gs.

Yukiko retained her serious demeanor, Kyubis had noticed that Blazeon had disappeared. "She gasped when she saw him falling to the ground. "Plus Reversion Ability – Dazzling Tornado!" Blazeon exclaimed as he crashed into the pair of them while cloaked in a swirling firestorm, sending a blast of dust all over the area.

Blazeon: 750(+500) (-300)= 950 / Yae Kyubis: 800

Within the dust, Cameron was moving swiftly around the pair of them, his nose caught the whiff of Sakura petals, and that was when he knew he found her on her feet. "DOUBLE ABILITY, Reversion Ability, Dazzling Wing Slash plus Fusion Ability, Strike Flare!"

Blazeon: 950(+500 +550) (-300x2)= 1400 / Yae Kyubis: 800

The dust was immediately cleared as all of Cameron's limbs and wings were covered in raging blue flames while the scars on his arms were still leaking black fire. Because Yukiko didn't see in time, she was punched Skyward. And as soon as she was thrown into the Sky. Cameron rushed after her, he was high above her and flipped several times before landing a fiery kick to her face that sent her flying into a street filled with abandoned cars that were mostly yellow taxi cabs.

"YOUR TURN BLAZEON!" Blazeon flew skyward and eyed Kyubis who stood in the crater as the dust was clearing.

"We're not as weak as you think you little Vixen! Combustion Dragon!" He fired a blue fireball from his mouth which grew and crashed into Kyubis. The blast shockwave of the fireball's explosion had shattered many windows in the short area. His power was dropped again as the scars left by Yukiko's sword were hurting him, and despite him falling to 1300, he managed to drop Kyubis down to 600Gs.

Yukiko had thrown a wrecked cab off her. She dusted herself off and glared at Cameron. "You've had your fun!" she said summoning her swords again. "Kyubis dear, make it rain!"

Deep within the crater, Kyubis roared before her entire body was covered in a red aura. "Kumiho Fury!" she exclaimed. The navy-blue night sky soon turned red as there were multiple glints in the sky. Falling from the sky were black and red meteors that were tricking black flames as they fell.

Blazeon: 1300(-700)= 600 / Yae Kyubis: 600

Cameron looked around and saw the news helicopter that was following the battle. "WHAT ARE THEY DOING!?" He took off and yelled at the news crew. "GET OUT OF HERE!?"

"It appears one of the battlers has come over to us!" The camera panned up to the red skies where they saw flaming meteors falling from the sky. "W-what is going on?!"

Cameron leaped into the open side door of the helicopter. "You guys need to get out of here or else!"

*BANG!*

One of the meteors had hit one of the rotor blades and the chopper was sent into an uncontrollable spin. The pilot was trying in vain to regain control of his aircraft, all the while they were losing crucial altitude.

"SHIT! I can't stop it!"

Cameron pulled the pilot away from his seat and the crew of three stood by him. "Stick close to me!" Cameron's wings extended and covered themselves in flames. "BLAZE SHIELD!" he closed the wings, covering the three people within the helicopter. "BRACE FOR IMPACT!" Cameron yelled as the helicopter had crashed right into the Riu Plaza, sending tremendous shards of glass everywhere and concrete everywhere.

Within the twisted wreckage that was the lobby. Cameron unfolded his wings which had cuts in them as he fell to his back. The reporter, Carrera Rivers saw that she and her team only had minor scratches and bruises, the same couldn't be said for their savior as he was sprawled on the ground, while panting, trying to catch his breath.

"Y-you saved us!?"

"Holy shit... I'm not dead?!" the cameraman said.

"W-what is going on, who and what are you?" Cameron's ears twitched and he gingerly got up to his feet.

"Forget about me! JUST RUN! Run far away from here!"

They all heard footsteps and saw Yukiko coming close to the building, her sandals crunching the millions of glass shards and dust. "He's right..." Yukiko said facing them all. "You weaklings shouldn't be here." The cuts on Cameron's arms ignited again, despite the power increase from Blaze Shield, that 300G gain was negated by the effect of Yukiko's Nogitsune Slash, so his power remained at 600. The crew had run from the building as quickly as they could.

Before Yukiko could try anything. Blazeon flew into the destroyed building, picked up Cameron, and flew off.

Yukiko whipped her long hair backward. "Something is off... There is no way they would send him to fight me. You'd think if the resistance forces were smart, Xaramesi would stand a better chance. He doesn't seem so strong. Perhaps Andreas overestimated his abilities."

Kyubis landed beside her. "Don't forget, we evolved. So, we are much stronger now." she turned to her partner. "Do you still have a scent of that Dragonoid?"

"Yes... it looks like he's flying..." She looked skyward and whiffed the air. "...Toward the river!"

"Then we will follow. He couldn't have gotten that far."

Both Aisha and Kimiko were riding on the back of Lycanine. "You really think that meteor storm that just happened was part of Cameron's battle?" Kimiko asked.

"Yes, I'm almost sure of it!"

Kimiko quickly remembered something. "SHOOT! LYKIE STOP!" she skid to a halt and eyed Aisha in panic.

"What is it Kimiko!?"

"T-there's this gate card I have to give you!" she said, turning to Aisha. "It's a Forbidden Gate Card that Spectra made."

Lycanine grumbled. "You made me stop for that!?" Kimiko nervously laughed while scratching the back of her head. After the card swapped hands, Aisha went over it.

"This Gate card looks powerful... but we need other Reversion battlers to make it work..." she looked skyward and saw Xaramesi and Sakuya flying on Boreanta, they looked like they were surveying the city. "Maybe they can help. Heeeey!"

Kyubis had followed Blazeon's scent which looked to lead toward the tremendous river that Cameron passed earlier on his way to Manhattan. "Hmm? The lizard's scent ends here." Yukiko stepped on the water and both her and Kyubis looked like they were skating on top of the surface.

"Why go all the way to the river? It makes no sense. A Dragonoid wouldn't battle in an area with lots of wat-"

*CRASH*

Blazeon with Cameron on his shoulder had emerged from the under the water. Surprising the Alursian and Fox Bakugan, sending them into the river. "Surprise!" Cameron was seen holding three cards. "TRIPLE REVERSION ABILITY ACTIVATE!"

Yukiko's eyes shrunk when both she and Kyubis watched their foes ascent into the sky. "Dazzling Dragon, plus Fire Spirit, plus Fusion Reversion Ability – BOOSTED OVERDRIVE!"

"OH YEAAAAH! TIME FOR ROASTED FOX!" Blazeon opened his maw while Cameron extended his arms. Both were charging a tremendous orb of energy while orange geometric patterns appeared all over their bodies.

They both fired a colossal fireball downward to Yukiko and Kyubis, who were still wading in the water with nowhere to go. The two fireballs combined, and it had the appearance of a blue sun with a comet trail falling to the pair, with the sheer size of the attack body, dwarfed them in size, as if an entire building was falling toward them.

Blazeon 600(+350x2 +100 +700) (-300x2)= 1200 / Yae Kyubis: 600(-350x2 -700)= 0

As the orb was falling. Yukiko held her arms up in the air, and so did Kyubis. "Ability Activate! DIVINE GUARD!" right as the orb hit them. They were immediately pushed into the water, with tremendous waves forming from the energy of the large fireball. Blazeon and Cameron watched as the orb's descent was slowing... and they were purely shocked when Yukiko and Kyubis managed to stop the attack right in its tracks.

Blazeon: 1200(-400)= 800 / Yae Kyubis: 0(+200)= 200

"NO. FREAKING. WAY!" Blazeon breathed.

"B-but how... that was our strongest attack!?"

The fox pairing had raised their hands and managed to deflect the fireball to the left. There was nothing to stop the fireball's advances, all except a popular monument of the city. The ball of fire had completely engulfed the island housing the Statue of Liberty, and once it contacted the monument, a mushroom cloud that completely engulfed all four battlers. Water was sent rushing in all directions. The force of the explosion was enough to shake the entire harbor causing a mini tremor that spread through the entire city.

"SHIT!" Blazeon cursed while Cameron held on.

Kyubis was barely standing on her feet while Yukiko hung on, grasping her fur for dear life.

Eventually, the light cleared and when they looked at the remains of the explosion, there was nothing but the shattered remains of the statue while its oxidized copper, iron, and concrete were falling into the ocean in medium-sized, hand-sized chunks.

Cameron's eyes were the size of plant seeds while Blazeon was panting. "D-did that just happen!?"

"Heh, I guess they will definitely make that statue of us!"

"If New York doesn't KILL us first!? Do you know what we just destroyed!?"

"Hey... it was an awesome attack!" Blazeon argued. "Can't say the same for that old ass statue."

"We're so dead..."

Yukiko smirked. "Strongest attack eh... Then I'll show you mine, together Kyubis! One last attack!" Her aura turned pink whilst she unsheathed both her swords and Kyubis bared her claws. "Reversion Ability Activate!" She and Kyubis leaped high into the sky. And as they flew, pink sakura petals surrounded them. "SAKURA FURY!"

Cameron reacted as he saw them coming. "OH NO... Reversion Ability Activate. Flare Barrier!" Blazeon's wings were surrounded by white flames as their opponents were speeding toward them. But as they were watching them coming, they quickly disappeared from their sight. "Huh!?"

"You really should watch your back you know..."

Cameron's eyes shrunk as he was impaled by Yukiko's sword, right into his left shoulder. "CAMERON!" Blazeon exclaimed in worry and didn't react in time as Kyubis threw a knee into his chin, managing to separate Blazeon from Cameron.

Yukiko removed her sword and slashed the human battler over and over, constantly disappearing and reappearing around him, Blazeon was in the same boat, unable to defend from Kyubis' relentless attack. Both Foxes had performed a single cyclo slash, cutting the pair brutally. So much so that there were tears in Cameron's shirt as the sleeves were reduced to ribbons that fell into the sea.

They both finished it off with a downward slash of sword and claw, instantly defeating the pair.

Blazeon: 800(+500 –1200) (-300) = 0 / Yae Kyubis: 200(+600)= 800

Cameron's beaten and slashed body splashed into the river while Blazeon turned to his ball form and fell into the water too.

Yukiko and Kyubis remained hovering above the water. The Alursian was panting to herself. "Whoa... what a rush... he nearly got us there..."

"True... and that Dragonoid was somewhat formidable."

"Huh...?"

"What is it, Yukiko?"

"Nothing... I just... wonder how different things would be if he was on our side from the very beginning, y'know? Like maybe we could have fought better against Fabrega with his help. But it's all-what ifs and maybes. Means nothing now."

Within the depths of New York Harbor, Cameron who had reverted to his base form was sinking along with Blazeon's closed ball form. His life gauge fell to 20% and the loose bits of his clothes were rising to the surface.

Within the remains of Central Park, both Zavanna and Akira who were resting, immediately woke up and felt a heavy sense of dread. Seemingly getting up at the same time, they immediately looked at each other. Sharing the same feeling.

"Oh... you two are awake? I thought you'd sleep forever." Rena said looking down at them.

"I-I it felt as though something, really, really bad just happened?" Zavanna said.

Akira thought about it. "Shit, Cameron! I think he's the only one left fighting!" she immediately got up but was still woozy. Rena caught her.

"Nuh, uh, uh, deary... do you have any idea how much power you used up when taking down Mortar... you can't do anything in this state."

"B-but you don't understand!?" Zavanna said while slowly using the tree to help her onto her feet. "If something bad happened to Cameron, I'd..."

She looked at them. "You are both in zero shape to help him... the best thing you can do is pray to Jaya and hope she can guide him off the path towards the light."

"B-but..." Akira watched Zavanna putting her hands together as she remained sitting. "I-I can't just sit here..."

"Akira..." Radion said getting on her shoulder. "I agree with you... but if we went up against Yukiko as we are, we'd just get in the way, or worse."

Akira sat down in defeat, and she looked at Zavanna and clasped her hands. "D-do you mind if I pray with you?"

Zavanna nodded and they both placed their hands together, prayed, and were hoping that the worst hadn't occurred.

---

Within the Vestal Destroyer, jets and helicopters were surrounding them. Cera was running through the halls and arrived at the bridge where Alice, Spectra, and a few army personnel were standing. "What is going on?" she asked catching her breath.

"We're trying to explain something to these nice gentl-" Spectra replied before getting cut off.

Cera shook her head. "Not that... What was that explosion!?"

Jayden and Garfield slid in behind her. Spectra brought up the screen and it was showing the battle and how Cameron had just lost.

"Holy crap! Also, where did the Statue of Liberty go?"

"He only has 20% on his life gauge," Garfield noted.

"So why aren't we helping him!?" Cera questioned. "He's right below us!"

The soldier got in the way. "New York has been invaded by a hostile force using weapons called Bakugan... like the kind all of you use. So, you are all detained until the situation is resolved."

"Hey! Bullets for brains!" Cera mocked. "Our friend is down there, and if you think you're going to-"

Spectra loudly cleared his voice. "Even if you could get down there, you've already fought a battle in that Ascended form, you couldn't possibly last against Yukiko. I've lost Helios to her... worst comes to worst, we can all go after her if the unfortunate happens. Cera clenched her fist and smacked the side of the wall. "Dammit!"

"Hey... don't worry about him, Cameron always finds a way. Man's got this!" Jayden said.

Cera turned around. "He better, because if he doesn't live through this. These soldiers 'detaining' us are going to take a long swim tonight!" she threatened.

---

As Cameron continued to sink into New York Harbor. His eyelids flickered, but he couldn't even move as he could start to see and hear things.

His mother crying after his father abandoned them, leaving him to figure out how to comfort his mother.

"Whoa, a Bakugan!?" Cameron exclaimed in delighted shock.

"Yeah I'm a Bakugan, you got a problem with that?" Blazeon spat back.

"Hey, you're Cera, right? Because I really wanted to ask you a question."

"I'll answer it. If you beat me." Cera replied in a confident tone.

"H-hey, I didn't get your name."

"Akira Haruna."

"So, Cameron, you wanna get this battle started?" Aisha questioned, sounding eager to battle.

"I really don't have much to lose if I do join you. Plus, I'm sure Velocirex would enjoy the company." Jayden replied smiling.

"Hey, don't be so gloomy. That was a great battle." Cameron told Garfield.

"Y-yeah thanks... I've just got a lot on my mind is all."

"I apologize, but your Bakugan will be happier on our home world," Zavanna told both Cameron and Aisha.

Cameron's eyes slowly opened, and he was greeted by the dark blue depth of the harbor. "Where am I? I-I'm too hurt... I can't move..."

Images started flashing through his head, his first battle with Blazeon alongside Marucho. Meeting Akira for the first time whilst he gave her a love-struck gaze. Going over to Cera's mansion to recruit her, and his later battle with her where they fought to a draw. His first battle with Aisha. Where the team had welcomed Garfield over to their side. Him watching over Zavanna within the cave, and the moment on Fabrega where they shared their mutual feelings for each other.

"You're not giving up... are you?" Cameron heard Blazeon around him but was unable to see him.

"No... I don't. I want... I must fight till the end. But more than that, I want to live. There's still a lot of things I want to do... I don't... I don't want it to end here..." There was a white-outlined aura surrounding him. "It can't end here... It won't end here!" The area around him was starting to heat up as bubbles were rising to the surface.

"I... I'll fight to live!"

"And I LIVE TO FIGHT!"

His eyes shot open as they turned yellow and his sclera turned black, he gripped Blazeon tightly.

There was a ripple that was forming in the ocean, and the earth itself was starting to shake as the ripple was bubbling. "WHAT!?" Yukiko exclaimed.

Spectra watched from the monitor. "Hmph, looks like he won't go down so easily, huh?" The others joined him at the window. They watched as a tremendous pillar of water, stretching close to 30 feet into the air shot out of the river. Some of the drops landed on Yukiko and she winced as the water was boiling. Within the water tower, there were two pairs of yellow gleaming eyes. The tower soon exploded as scalding rain fell. Yukiko covered her eyes before she looked over at the cause.

She looked up and saw two dragons glaring down at her and Kyubis. "So, he has returned," Kyubis said.

"He'll have to fight on the defensive... one move and he will be-"

Yukiko gasped when she saw Cameron's Ascended form disappear right before her eyes. She gasped and heard something behind her. "Tag... you're it," Cameron said in a low-pitched, angered tone before throwing a powerful kick to the back of her head that sent Yukiko flying so fast that she was skipping over the water like a stone before she crashed into an abandoned cargo ship.

"NOW BLAZEON!"

Blazeon angrily roared and threw a fiery punch that sent Kyubis underwater.

Yae Kyubis: 900 / Blazeon: 950

Kyubis was underwater while the hot rain was still falling.

Once there was a pause in the battle. Jets were flying in from the city as well as combat helicopters that all shot missiles at both Blazeon and Cameron. "Dammit!" they thought in unison as Cameron and Blazeon flew up high, so they could avoid the rockets coming toward them. Some of them hit Blazeon due to him being a larger target. Cameron caught one of them and threw it into the water.

"HEY YOU IDIOTS! WE'RE ON YOUR SIDE!"

One of the jets was firing toward the pair of them. Cameron huffed hot steam from his nostrils and flew right to the jet, landing on its nose, and destabilizing its flight path. "EJECT!" he warned. The pilots did as he asked the two had shot open their canopy and flew out from their jet with their seats while Cameron slashed the wing in two and saw a glimpse of Yukiko sprinting on the water toward him. "CATCH THIS!" He grabbed the nose of the jet and spun it in midair and tossed it toward the approaching Yukiko.

She pulled out one of her swords that had fiery energy leaking from them. "Chrono Dilation!" the whole field was surrounded by a red hue. Everything slowed and she used her swords to slice the jet clean in half. The then leaped off its slashed remains and sped towards Cameron who was slashed several times and kicked down to the ocean where Kyubis emerged with her open maw.

Yae Kyubis: 900(+200)= 1100 / Blazeon: 950

"I'M NOBODY'S LUNCH!" "REVERSION ABILITY – Ignition Rush!" before he fell into Kyubis' maw, he punched his fists while a flaring white flame cloaked his body. His wings extended and flipped and leaped off of Kyubis' nose redirecting his path toward Yukiko where his claws clashed with her blades.

"H-how are you moving fast enough to match my Chrono Dilation!?" she questioned. Cameron remained silent. "Won't matter, my next attack will be boosted thanks to this time field! Sakura Blaze!" black Sakura petals surrounded the two and behind them, Kyubis was firing dark red flames that shot Cameron up into the sky.

Yae Kyubis: 1100(+400 +300)= 1800 / Blazeon: 950(-400)= 550

As the flames sent Cameron into the sky, his wings were covered in white flames. "Flare Barrier!" He folded his wings in front of them and dispersed the flames away from him in a fiery explosion, creating a shockwave that spread as far as the city, shaking some of the buildings. His power increased by 500Gs, putting him at 1050Gs. He flew downward, toward the battlefield. His white aura still powering him as he flew straight past Yukiko, toward Kyubis. When he was close enough, he spun in mid-air where a cyclone of fire cloaked his whole body while three more fiery tornados spun with him. "Dazzling Tornado!" He crashed right into Kyubis. Sending the beast crashing into the nearby harbor. As soon as Kyubis was dazed, Cameron flew as high as he could and reverted to his Reversion form.

"Did he just revert to a weaker form?" Yukiko glared at him. "He's mocking me, isn't he!?"

"Dragon Firewall!" He exclaimed. He created a fiery sphere around him that rapidly extended around him. The flames spread all over the marina before fading.

Yae Kyubis: 1800 / Blazeon: 1050(+200)= 1250

He saw Yukiko flying up toward him. Her sword clashed with his claws again. "Are you mocking me!? Why did you go back to that weaker form!?"

Cameron smirked... "'Cause that was the only way to do this!" They both saw that the Chrono Dilation was cracking all around them before it shattered. Yukiko's pupils shook. "I don't have access to that ability in my Ascended form, but now that your time field is gone, now the playing field is even!" He headbutted her and transformed back into his Ascended form and white flames surged all over him. "Dazzling Wing Slash!" his body was covered in the white flames from Ignition Rush and his limbs were covered in orange fire and was striking Yukiko, all over, first in her stomach, chest then face with his fists. He was moving so fast that her eyes could keep up with him.

Yae Kyubis: 1800(-500)= 1300 / Blazeon: 1250(+500)= 1750

He sent her falling toward Blazeon where he grimaced. "That's it! Come to Papa! Dazzling Dragon!" Blazeon hovered above the sea where his entire body was covered in blue flames, and he discharged a fireball from his mouth where the attack had an orange fire core. Yukiko was powerless to counter it as she was hit by the fireball. The attack shot Yukiko into Kyubis who was still recovering from Cameron's earlier attack. The attack transferred 350Gs between them. Where Blazeon's power increased to 2100 and Kyubis' fell to 950.

Cameron in his peripheral vision, saw another missile coming toward him. "Geez, gimme a break!" He tossed a fireball at it, igniting the missile in mid-air.

Within one of the helicopters, there was a transmission coming through. "Attention! All military forces! This is General Barnes! If you can hear me, do not attack the dragons! I repeat! Do not attack the dragons!"

Once this transmission was relayed over the radio, the jets flew past Cameron and continued to monitor other activity around the marina."Huh... that's weird, they aren't attacking anymore?" Cameron said.

Close to one of the piers. Yukiko stood as there was a crowd of spectators around her and Kyubis "Unless you weak humans want to get killed, stay out of my way!" she and Kyubis began to run across the water.

"Here she comes!" Blazeon warned. Yukiko was seen jumping off Kyubis while her sword was covered in black flames.

"Nogitsune Slash plus Soul Connection!"

"It's that attack again!" Blazeon exclaimed.

Yae Kyubis: 950(+500 +500)= 1950 / Blazeon: 2100(-400)= 1700

"I know! And I'm ready for it this time!" Cameron placed both his hands on Blazeon. "Ignition Blitz!" they both separated as Yukiko went for a slash. They covered themselves in flaring red auras as their speed sharply increased. Their power increased by 200 to put them at 1900

Yukiko and Kyubis turned into black ghastly forms and were flying up toward the dragon pair. "No matter what happens, we can't let them cut us!" Cameron avoided a slash from Yukiko before flying down.

"Easy for you to say! This fox clearly hasn't heard of personal space!" Blazeon quipped as he narrowly dodged a bite from Kyubis.

Aisha, Xaramesi, Kimiko, and Sakuya had reached the wrecked Broadway and saw the carnage that was caused by all the battling. "Whoa... this isn't good," Aisha said

"Hold on. Cameron was just here!" Bearth said. "I know that Dragonoid scent anywhere."

"So where are they?"

Xaramesi threw out Boreanta and leaped on him to get to higher ground. They saw two red streaks fighting off two black streaks in the far-off harbor. "That looks like them!" she said pointing outward.

"That's far!"

Xaramesi thought for a second. "But all we need to do is set it down so Cameron can activate it right?" Aisha nodded in response.

"Ok... we should get over there I guess."

"Wait!" Aisha exclaimed. "The gate card needs Reversion Energy... and a lot of it. What if what we have is not enough? We've already battled a lot, and I'm pretty spent enough as it is. There has to be some way we can find everyone that can give their energy and let them in on the plan."

"U-um..." Sakuya was quiet when she earned the looks of Aisha and Kimiko.

"It's ok, Sakuya," Xaramesi said as she hovered down and gently touched her shoulder. "We'll listen to what you have to say." The wolf girl's ears folded while her cheeks flashed.

Aisha was curious. "Hold on are you two-?" Xaramesi blushed and looked away. "Awwwww! You two are love birds!? So adorable!"

"If you are done playing around. I believe Sakuya had something to say." Boreanta said, scolding Aisha making her nervously scratch her head.

"C-couldn't we call Valerie... M-maybe she'll know what to do." Sakuya meekly said.

Xaramesi shook Sakuya by her shoulders. "Sakuya you beautiful, smart, smoking hot, wolf! That's a great idea!"

"S-s-smoking h-hot..." Sakuya muttered, her entire face was flushed in hot pink while steam was slowly billowing from her ears.

Kimiko handed Aisha her gauntlet, where she proceeded to go through Kimiko's contact list and found Valarie's number. "Ah, there it is!"

Meanwhile, above the Earth's atmosphere sat the many Fabregan cities that were launched into space. Valerie was being boarded onto one of the space crafts that was Earthbound. Her helper, Oscar answered the phone. "Hello?" he looked down at Valarie who hummed when she sensed his gaze. "Its one of the battlers from Earth. She said she has a plan to defeat Yukiko."

"Hmm, I'll hear her out. Let me talk to her."

Over the large Harbor, Yukiko was trying to slash Cameron with her swords, but he was moving around too fast for her to land a single hit. Yukiko had sheathed her blades while her hands were shimmering with pink energy. Kyubis split herself and there were two shadow versions of her each standing at her sides. She sent her four shadows toward Blazeon. The clash sent him down into the sea.

"Blazeon!"

"You should worry about yourself!" she discharged Sakura Blaze flames from her hand.

Cameron avoided them, and threw a fist forward, while Yukiko was caught and raked her claws across Cameron's face as his dragon fist slammed into her cheek. "Cameron!" He heard Blazeon in his thoughts and decided to just listen. "I don't think we can win a fight over the harbor!"

"Where else can we go? It's not like we have enough space to fight..." Before long Cameron felt something prick his head. "Ugh!" Yukiko used this time to unsheathe a blade and went for a slash, trying to split him in two. He caught the blade by clapping his dragon hands onto the steel.

"Are you ok!?" Blazeon asked. "Your mind went blank for a second."

He saw Yukiko swipe at him with her left blade. He instantly reverted to his base form, to allow gravity to take hold of him as he fell headfirst down to the Marina. He transformed back into his Ascended Reversion form and flew over the water and headed to New York. "Cameron... remember me?"

"W-wait... is that Valerie? I thought only Blazeon could get into my head."

...

Valerie who was inside one of the Fabregan space crafts that was going through re-entry was holding onto a closed Haos Bakugan that was shimmering with bright yellow energy. "I am using my Bakugan, and my psychic abilities to project my thoughts to you. That girl Aisha came up with a plan... but for it to work, you need to keep Yukiko busy for as long as you can."

"HOW LONG!? She came close to killing me!"

"Then distract her, she isn't familiar with the area."

"Neither am I!"

"Hmm... that is trouble! Hold on... I'll be right back!"

"W-wait what do you-!?" he saw Kyubis emerging from the waves in front of him, making him stop, but Blazeon continued forward with a punch.

"How do you like this!" he missed and Kyubis bit into his arm, wounding both him and his partner. Cameron then flew to where he was level with Kyubis' face.

"Ability Activate! V-Striker!" Blazeon's V-shaped horns ignited with orange flames, making him smirk. He reared his head back before headbutting Kyubis in the face, sending her falling to the water.

Yae Kyubis: 1950 / Blazeon: 1900(+700)= 2600

Cameron sensed Yukiko coming from behind. His hair was engulfed in flames as he leaped up and Blazeon boosted him into the air and shot right at Yukiko. His stance confused her, but she was completely dumbfounded when her head collided with his, completely dazing the fox, and sending her falling into the river with her partner.

His thoughts on the battle were interrupted by a high-pitched, regal tone that interrupted his thoughts.

"Cameron!" He then looked back at the Vestal Destroyer that was in the distance whilst hearing the same voice.

"Wait... is that Cera?"

"Who else would it be? We don't have a lot of time! Valerie just contacted me and went silent. She linked our minds, so we should be able to speak this way for now. She said you need to distract Yukiko for a few minutes. So, make her think you're leading her around. Also, if you think you can beat her, then don't hold back!"

"Wait... what's the plan!?" he spoke aloud.

"You can use your thoughts, you know." Cameron could hear the tired, frustration in her voice. "As for the plan, she wasn't very specific, but you just need to hold her off. Or beat her, but just keep her busy!"

Cameron nodded. He and Blazeon remained airborne. Yukiko emerged from the water, droplets falling from her robes as she glared at him. "You're surprisingly persistent... ugh... why couldn't you be on our side?"

"Um... because you're destroying the Earth?"

"Only because you humans tried to kill us in one fell swoop. If only you could hear us out. But it's way too late for that. Your people chose this fate."

"Speaking of Fate... what's that over there!" He pointed behind Yukiko, her ears shuffled and she looked back only to see nothing. When she turned back, he was already flying away into the city.

"That weasely little weirdo! Kyubis!" she let herself fall to Kyubis' back and they both rode into the city, following Blazeon and Cameron.

Meanwhile, within the Vestal Destroyer, Cera looked at one of the men from the army who stood at the bridge. "You there put me through to your commanding officer. The one who declared that Cameron wasn't an enemy."

"W-what... you really think I'm going to just let a civilian speak to-" Cera took a deep breath, opened the window, tossed Lunaris out of it, and immediately transformed into her Reversion Form. The soldier was dumbfounded as they all saw Lunaris flying by the ship.

"I'm not just an ordinary civilian. Now are you going to hear me out, or would you like to be held responsible for Earth's first Fox dictatorship?"

As Cameron and Blazeon continued to fly across New York City, they saw pillars of smoke littering the ground. Fighting was still going on as the US army continued to contain the Bakugan. "Yukiko did all this..." Cameron muttered to himself sadly.

"Well, what's the game here?" Cameron's senses went into overdrive as he saw a black and red figure falling toward them. Both Yukiko and Kyubis were shrouded in pink auras whilst directing their momentum to the flying duo.

"Cutting Petals!" Yukiko exclaimed as she pulled out her dual swords.

Yae Kyubis: 1950(+400)= 2350 / Blazeon: 2600(-400)= 2200

Both Cameron and Blazeon brought their guards up, Cameron crossed his scaled wrists while Blazeon folded his wings in front of his body. They were both damaged by Yukiko's swords and Kyubis' fangs respectively.

Both fell through the roof of a large building, making a large gaping hole in it. After they hit the ground, Cameron looked up at the pale, forest-green ceiling they had just crashed through. "Ow, that smarts!" Blazeon said getting up with his partner. "So, where the hell are we now?"

Cameron looked around and noticed the area, the marble walls, the metal closed gates as well as the large clock that stood in the middle of the terminal.

"I think this is the Grand Central Station!" Cameron noticed. Kyubis crashed through the hole that Blazeon and Cameron made. Yukiko balanced on her partner using one foot. She front-flipped off her before sprinting toward the pair. Cameron threw a glare and had flames surrounding him. "Give me your best shot!"

"That's what I intend do to! RAAAAGHH!" she swung her blade but Cameron stepped on the ground while his muscles slightly pumped, igniting a geyser of fire from underneath him. The force of the flames made Yukiko stagger. "WHAT!?"

His eyes had an orange glowing sheen around them. He took a deep breath, absorbing the flames around himself while he craned his head and neck back. "Cross BLAZE!" He bent his entire body forward firing a large blast from his mouth. The fiery blaze expanded, with four flame wings that jutted out forming a tremendous burst in the shape of an X. Yukiko was so close that she couldn't avoid it. She crossed her arms, and the attack engulfed her, digging into the ground while it swept Yukiko with it. She screamed as the cross blaze continued to dig through the floor of the GCT crashing into the large clock that stood in the center reducing it to mere rubble.

Yae Kyubis: 2350(-450)= 1900 / Blazeon: 2200(+450)= 2650

When the smoke cleared Cameron covered his mouth in shock. "Ah, crap! We're going to be mobbed by New Yorkers at this point."

Blazeon laughed. "Embrace it! Destruction! Thy name is Cameron!"

"HEY!"

Yukiko had thrown the destroyed rubble off her. "Damn you... you baited me, didn't you?"

Cameron proudly placed his hands on his hips. "What can I say? I guess I'm too hot to handle!"

Yukiko's serious demeanor broke as she snorted a laugh and tried her utmost to hold it back. "Wait... you thought that was funny!?" Blazeon said, puzzled by the fox's actions.

Yukiko's head looked up as her held-back laugh morphed into a smirk. "God, I wish you were older."

Cameron shook his head incredulously as he mouthed a confused, "Huh?" The next moment Yukiko kicked him in the stomach, throwing him back. Blazeon had stood in front of Cameron immediately stopping his momentum. When standing on his feet, he took a deep breath. "Whoa... I stopped breathing for a second."

Kyubis stepped forward and growled. "Don't worry. We'll make sure that's permanent! Together Yukiko, Reversion Ability! Kumiho Spirit!" both Kyubis and Yukiko had created five fiery ghosts of themselves. Yukiko pulled out her swords and the ghastly forms did the same.

Yae Kyubis: 1900(+600)= 2500 / Blazeon: 2650(-1000)= 1650

"Got any smart jokes now...?" Blazeon asked.

"Nope... but I've got this! Ability Activate-"

Blazeon raised his foot. "Erupting Rage!" he stomped hard on the marble floor, igniting it with fiery energy, sending multiple pillars of flames toward both Yukiko and Kyubis. This took away 700Gs from Kyubis and Yukiko, dragging them down to 1800. Both figures were dodging the pillars of flames while some of the ghosts were burned into nothing. They still had 2 Yukikos and 3 Kyubises charging toward them.

"BLOCK BLAZEON!" Cameron commanded, they both stood in defensive stances while pure white flames surrounded the dragon pair.

The next moment the windows of the front entrance of the Grand Central Terminal shattered as Cameron and Blazeon had been thrown through them. Blazeon's body took some of the concrete close to the ceiling with it.

Cameron rolled hard on the ground, taking several tumbles before his face hit the front of an abandoned taxicab. He had a bloody wound on his head and there was blood falling from his nose dripping to the ground. He was breathing hard while using the hood of the cab to support his weight. He saw Blazeon being thrown through several buildings by Kyubis.

While trying to stand up fully he felt a bloody gash across his stomach. He was in so much pain that he was tempted to cry. In front of him, both Yukiko and Kyubis were walking toward him. "Dammit."

Yukiko sheathed her swords. "Last chance... stand down, I'll get my people to patch you up and there will be no more destruction... right after I take out everyone else standing against me."

Cameron managed to stand straight while his hands were tightened into fists. "Y-you mean after all that... you want me to work for you? I heard that so many Alursians looked up to you... but after all this... How are you different from the Fabregans you replaced!?"

"You know nothing! This is the only way... the only I... we can achieve true freedom! We don't have a home anymore! What the hell was I supposed to do!? I asked, and they tried to murder us in cold blood!"

"And your response is to invade the Earth!?"

She growled at him. "Why should I let a bunch of weaklings disrespect me!?" right as she said this a memory came into her head.

"No matter what happens Yukiko... if there is one thing you remember from me... Never, ever let anyone, especially a lower species disrespect you! You're a Fox! Make sure people remember you! Even if you must make a last stand... never let anyone step on you! If someone disrespects you, repay them in kind with intense destruction!"

After she came out from her memory her swords fell to the ground while she shivered to herself. "N-no... w-what am I doing... W-what have I...?! Am I really..."

Kyubis eyed her partner in a panic after standing next to her. "Yukiko... what's wrong!?"

"I-I... I'm just like her... am I...?"

"CAMERON!" He heard in his head.

"We're still linked!?"

"NEVER MIND THAT! HIT HER WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!"

Cameron engulfed himself in a white blaze, snapping Yukiko from her daze. "Double Ability! DRAGON INSTINCT" A firestorm of white flames consumed Cameron. His power from this ability increased his power by 200Gs, putting him at 1850Gs.

As the firestorm continued to burn, Yukiko covered her eyes from the intense glare. A deafening roar came from the firestorm. "Only 200Gs?" Yukiko thought. "No... there's something more!" An enraged Cameron shot through the intense flames, fury etched into his face. "Reversion Abilility – Cross DRAGONNNNN!" his wings were engulfed in blue flames that shifted to white. He charged right through Yukiko with two of his four wings before headbutting Kyubis. His wings created a fire tornado around the three of them. He swung his arms, turning the azure tornado to a white color, the heat and winds had sent Yukiko and Kyubis into the air while the flames ignited around them. Cameron's battle cry echoed as a roar while his hair was being blown upward.

Yae Kyubis: 2500 / Blazeon: 1850(700*2)= 3250

The white flames faded as Cameron fell to his knees. Taking breaths as he dropped past his Reversion and into his true self. Both Yukiko and Kyubis dropped to the ground close to Grand Central Station. The Pyrus fox, motionless, as a red sheen surrounded her. Her defeated form compressed her to her ball form and rolled over to Yukiko's downed body. This defeat dropped her life gauge to 25%.

Cameron looked up to the dark sky before he powered down to his Reversion form. Blazeon's body was seen flying above, and he shot Cameron a 'thumbs-up'.

"Cameron? I saw a huge fire cyclone close to Grand Central. Was that you?" Cera asked while still linked to his mind.

"Yeah... and I'm spent... how is Valerie's plan going...?"

"She told me it's progressing. Did you beat her?"

"Close... she's down to 25%... but I'm not sure how much more I can take."

"Got- wait!" Cera went silent for a while. "She needs you to head back to-"

"YOU...!" he watched Yukiko on her knees and hands, and he stepped back in fear, he tried to communicate with Cera within his mind, but his mind was too concerned about Yukiko that he unintentionally cut her off. "You could have burned me to a crisp. Why didn't you? You could have ended all this, 'saved' your people."

He shook his head. "I'm not callous, and I'm not a murderer. I don't want this to end with you dying! But look around you!? It's over, my friends are still around, which means your guys have failed!" Yukiko punched the ground before forcing herself to her feet, the ends of her tails were singed while her face and kimono were peppered with soot, she opened her mouth to speak.

"I lost my mother in something similar to this... she fought the king. Lost, and paid with her life." Cameron lightly gasped but kept his serious gaze upon her wobbly body. "You should know... I've always dedicated myself to never repeating my mother's mistakes. And yet here I am... backed into a corner... writing a sequel to her damn legacy. Fine, whatever."

Yukiko gingerly picked up her swords, when her fingers struggled to grip the hilt of her blades, she realized something. She was shaking... Adrenaline could only push her so far... after that was just... fear... Fear of failing her people, fear of never achieving that true freedom she set out for, both for herself and her people... or fear of becoming like her elder kin whose path she shadowed due to her own blind hubris. She could hear police sirens, the sounds of roaring Bakugan as well as them being thrown out and being defeated.

A tear was seen falling to the ground from Yukiko's eye. "I never wanted this... but, I've come to realize... If I lose... my life is over. I'll either be killed or imprisoned. I've become my heartless mother – the person I've told myself that I've despised for a long time. The only way I can go is forward... even if that means... I'm already one and a half feet into hell!" her sword ignited with black flames. "So, if I'm destined for hell. THEN I'LL JUST KICK IN THE DAMN DOOR!" black flames surrounded her while Kyubis stood up in her Bakugan form, immediately transforming both herself and Yukiko into their evolved Reversion forms.

Blazeon transformed into his Reversion Form, he tried to ascend into his stronger form, but both he and Cameron were too drained to use that form. "Damn! We'll need to settle this without the Ascended power! Don't let your guard down, Cameron."

After the transformation, Cameron was in a daze. Could be from being thrown around too much, or from the excessive Reversion energy he and Blazeon were using. He didn't know, but he knew that he couldn't afford to fall now.

Blazeon groaned, dropping to a knee and collapsing to his claws. The Dragonoid's Reversion Form was worse for wear to where the flames flickering off his body were dimmed slightly.

"Gotta…get back up…" Cameron told himself that, but his legs wouldn't listen. He buckled from fatigue and collapsed to a single knee with an arm on the ground.

"Cameron…" Blazeon grunted low. He was at his limit, too.

Their Reversion Forms ultimately diffused, reverting to their base forms. All the while, Yukiko continued forward. "You have no idea…" Yukiko's voice echoed.

Cameron lifted his head, but he immediately closed his left eye when an offensive liquid touched it. He used his spare arm to wipe it away…only to realize the reason for his partial lightheadedness was because of blood staining his sleeve. His eyes shrank from a shiver going down his spine.

"You have no idea…how the real world works." Black flames enveloped two katana, igniting to reveal Yukiko and her swaying figure. Despite what she went through, she had a daunting gleam in her fox eyes. Soot and dust layered much of her kimono, showing that she hadn't escaped the carnage unscathed. "You all believed that Bakugan was nothing more than a game. I'm sure you were the same."

Cameron gritted his teeth to fight through the pain, but he found the blood seeping from his forehead more pressing.

"When I was your age, my world was ruined. Families were tarnished, the pride of Alursians was squandered...my mother was killed…and yet through it all, I somehow survived." She thought about her mother. "So, I ask you, after everything that you've seen and been through up until now…" her eyelids lowered some. "Is this really the kind of fight you want?"

Cameron gasped, recalling what he and Xaramesi talked about in the hospital on Fabrega. 'I've been told that I don't take things too seriously… and it's been getting to me with how right they are.'

"I can see it in your eyes. You're still too innocent to truly kill. It's 'kill or be killed'. I will not rest until I achieve my ambition…" Black flames condensed around her katana. "No matter how much blood stains my blades!"

Cameron made a desperate attempt to reignite his and Blazeon's Reversion Forms but to no avail.

"Cameron! Watch out!" Blazeon warned.

By the time he realized it, it was too late. A heel struck his sternum, causing him to slam his back onto the pavement, his head hitting a piece of debris, making him see black. But he regained his vision to find Yukiko's fox eyes glowing and glaring into his soul.

"C-crap…I can't get up! And I don't have enough strength to go Reversion!" panic began to overtake him. Thoughts of the Bakugan that he saw perish in lava boiled back up. The screams of those in peril. The lifeless bodies of the army that he saw around. This wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted to be the best Bakugan battler he could be with Blazeon. How did he know that in a few months, it would come to fighting for their lives?

"Kyubis!"

Kyubis spurred past Yukiko towards Blazeon. The dragon's eyes widened as he saw claws grapple his neck and pin him to the ground. The fox towered over with bated breath over her weakened foe.

"Bla…zeon…" Cameron muttered.

"You think that you'll somehow get through this like you 'always' do? Even if you did, I'm telling you right now, NOTHING will be the same again. You, everybody else who makes it out of this, they'll ALL be forever changed by this. Face it, the fantasies and dreams you've had before…" She pointed a katana at Cameron's neck. "Are dead…just like all those who don't have the strength to carry out their ambitions!"

Cameron closed his eyes, preparing for the blow. Blazeon was the same, as all he could do was stare as Kyubis' maw generated searing, spiraling black flames.

Just then, purple flames and a sharp green energy arrow darted from the sky. Yukiko and Kyubis glared up at the attacks and countered. Kyubis spat her flames at the fireball, canceling them out. Yukiko used her other katana and swiped upwards, bisecting the arrow.

However, time slowed down as a Reversion Sakura and Xaramesi closed the gap on their respective opponents, much to their shock.

"HRAH!" Xaramesi swung her scythe packed with pressure. Yukiko crossed both her katana, blocking the scythe and making a stalemate.

Cameron and Blazeon were in shock at the sudden entry saving their skins, literally.

"Xaramesi…!" Yukiko seethed.

Xaramesi kept up the stalemate, sparks flying between the sharp weapons. "Who knew you were so different underneath that mask, Yurina." She grunted. "Or should I say 'Your Highness' now?!"

The two tried to hold out the other, but in the end, Xaramesi let out a loud grunt and followed through with her swing, wind pressure dispersing Yukiko's flames and pushing her back several feet off of Cameron.

Shadowy claws enveloped Sakura's arms and she slashed at Kyubis, who parried the blow. But that solemn moment, however, was all Blazeon needed to get his second wind. Using his tail, he swung it around and slammed it into Kyubis' back, making her fall forward.

"GRAH!" With vindication, his head and horns met her snout, sending her sliding back into the debris. Dust stirred at her feet as she shook her head from the brief trauma.

With the weight finally off his sternum, Cameron was able to sit back up to see his saviors. "Xaramesi…and Sakura, too…?"

Boreanta and Nighshade dropped beside Blazeon in their Reversion Forms, offering their assistance. "Are you okay?" Boreanta asked.

"Yeah…I'll hold." He grunted, but he accepted their help in using their sides to prop him back to his feet. "Thanks for that, guess I owe ya huh?"

"We'll talk about debts after we deal with them." Boreanta shot a glare at Kyubis, which the fox returned with fuming ire.

"Yeah, sure."

Cameron grunted, feeling the blood from his forehead continuing to seep. "Here!" Xaramesi tossed something which he fumbled but quickly caught.

"Huh?" Cameron looked down. What he saw appeared to be a plastic container and gauze. "Medicine?"

"We managed to get a few supplies on our way here." Xaramesi insisted. She was grateful that there was a drug store still intact on the way to proliferate those things. "That should stop the bleeding. Sorry, but that 'first-aid' stuff you'll have to figure out."

Cameron was confused. Weren't they in Wardington and Bakugan City dealing with Yukiko's dispatch? It hit him just then. "Does this mean…we managed to defeat them there?"

Yukiko managed to recompose and scoff. "Xaramesi? Should've known you'd turn your back on your kind."

Xaramesi furrowed her brow, holding up her scythe. "At least I'm not the one starting a genocide. But we will be the ones to end it tonight."

Sakuya joined her at her side, the wolf girl baring her fangs.

Yukiko narrowed her eyes, her irritation palpable. Could ANYTHING go her way anymore? First, she had to go the hard way with Earth's domain, then deal with the denizens' conventional weaponry – while listening to their half-brained spiels – and now she was intervened by a former High Council member.

Cameron managed to muster his focus and unscrew the lip. He peeled off the plastic seal and dipped his hand in the translucent cream that was surprisingly cool to the touch. And yet when he rubbed it on his forehead, it stung badly. "Hopefully that'll stop the bleeding. Now, I gotta wrap these bandages. Guess I should've taken first-aid in school…"

"Like hell, I'll let you get up that easily!" Yukiko spurred across the ground, darting towards the Reversion duo. Kyubis followed the sentiment by spurring towards them with brandished claws.

Xaramesi and Sakuya immediately went to intercept Yukiko. Sakuya unleashed dark shadowy fireballs that Yukiko effortlessly sliced through until she reached Xaramesi's scythe, which managed to make a parry and stalemate again.

Boreanta rushed in and met Kyubis, using locking claws and holding her in place.

As they were holding them off, Sakuya kneeled beside Cameron. "Uh, S-Sakura…?"

"Head to Time's Square." She muttered.

Cameron blinked. "Huh? What was-?!"

"Ssh! She might hear." Sakuya harshly whispered, cutting off his shock. "Listen…Miss Valerie told us to tell you this. Head to Time's Square. We'll hold her off as long as we can."

"But, I…"

"Listen!" Xaramesi shouted from the front. "You're unarmed, aren't ya? You can't fight someone with weapons without one of your own! Just do yourself a favor and get out of here!"

Cameron was dumbfounded. Where was this even coming from? First Sakuya was talking, and now she was telling him to head to Time's Square? He didn't know, but he had a gut feeling about what could be a plan. He looked down at himself briefly, realizing he was still recovering from Reversion overuse.

Reluctantly, he nodded. "…okay. But what do I do when I get there?"

"Miss Valerie has a plan. Just head there!" Sakuya insisted.

Nightshade leaped behind Kyubis, his fangs ready to chomp down on her. However, Kyubis saw it coming and pivoted, hurling Boreanta into Nightshade and causing both to fall onto the ruined stairway of the terminal.

"Just go!" Boreanta bellowed.

Cameron gasped. He knew he was out of time. "Right…" He got up as he was trying to wrap the gauze around his forehead. "Blazeon, we're booking it!"

"Huh? Why now?"

"Listen, we don't have time! We need to recover so we can win this! Let's hurry!"

Though he had his reservations, even Blazeon knew he'd be in deep water if he stuck around. He looked back at Boreanta and Nightshade getting up to corner Yae Kyubis, but the fox showed no signs of slowing down as she was deflecting blows and throwing them around. He always loved a challenge, but this was something he knew he had to be smart about.

"…okay! Climb on and hold tight!" He lowered his head, allowing Cameron to stagger over and hold on. Once he was fastened to the base of his neck, Blazeon flapped his wings, flying away from the action.

Yukiko looked up, seeing her opponents flee. "You're not getting away!" She swiped her katana, summoning black fireballs that beamed toward the fleeing Dragonoid. However, blades of green energy dispersed them, much to her annoyance.

Xaramesi held her scythe out towards Yukiko. "You're fight's with us now!"

Yukiko clicked her teeth. "You really think that I'll be taking chances after everything that's happened? Like it or not, that boy and his Dragonoid are too dangerous to be left alone. But if you insist…" Black flames plumed around her katanas once more. "I'll make an example of a traitor before I end theirs and your lives."

Xaramesi and Sakuya got on guard. The air pressure intensified when the former and Yukiko's weapons met in the center, expelling gusts and black flames everywhere.

…

"Cameron, what's going on? Why are they here?" Blazeon questioned as they glided over New York's skylines.

"I'm not sure either…" Cameron finished wrapping the gauze around his head, at least to where it wouldn't fall off. "But we've gotta find time to charge up. Sakuya told us to head Time's Square for some reason."

"We have a plan?"

"Well…someone does."

Blazeon scoffed. "Well, guess anything's better than getting maimed by that fox. Another second, and we'd be goners back there."

"…yeah." Cameron nodded at the morbid notion. He hated to admit it, he really did, but he didn't have the strength at that moment. The moves Yukiko used, her katana, her reflexes, her parries; all of that showed how experienced she was.

'I can see it in your eyes. You're still too innocent to truly kill. It's kill or be killed. I will not rest until I achieve my ambition…'

He didn't realize it until now, but the shock was starting to return. The look in her eyes truly meant it. She intended to kill him then and there. The echoes of the sirens below, the air filled with smoke from fires firefighters were trying to control, the futile gun show that the military provided. The once peaceful and innocent world he had before was now a disaster. A children's game was now a game of life or death. Kill or be killed.

Cameron closed his eyes, his grip on Blazeon tightening. "If it's the only way…we've got to…"

As they were flying through the skies, news helicopters that were capturing every moment had their lenses on Cameron and Blazeon flying away.

One of the reporters commented on what she was seeing firsthand. "It looks like the boy that was battling the evil Yukiko has now vacated the premises on the massive dragon's back. They seem to be flying off while it looks like Yukiko herself is under resistance by more aliens and what appears to be more of her own kind. We'll keep a live update on the boy and dragon's location as we continue the update on this melee unfolding before our eyes."

As the fighting continued, a large white bat with a feline tail and paws, with large circular ears and a furry tuft around his chest was slowly soaring. The bat closed in on the Empire State Building. On top of the Bakugan was Valerie, holding onto the tufts of the bat's fur. The bat perched onto the railing and gently placed his partner on the 102nd floor.

"Thank you, Shreikon," she said, curtseying to show her deep gratitude. She felt around before her hands fell onto the railing. The high altitude blew on her face, a tinge of orange over the horizon greeting her skin. "It is time. Could you help me, Shreikon?"

The bat screeched while his eyes were happily closed, he slowly hovered close to where her hand was. He felt Valerie's palm stroking his soft fur and, purred slightly.

Her pale eyes shone slightly. "Reversion Ability Activate – Psychic Echo." there were pink ripples that were spreading from the tip of the Empire State Building that originated from Shriekon. "Ok... this can work." she closed her eyes and started to furrow her brow as she locked herself within, intense concentration. So much that a brow of sweat was falling from her face.

"Oscar... can you hear me?" There was a long silence within her mind, hoping that she could reach Oscar. Her entire plan hinged on this, and the longer the deafening silence went, the more and more she fell into slight despair, but she continued to project her thoughts outward. Refusing to give any pessimistic thoughts that were sneaking in. "Oscar... please!" Shreikon was concentrating as well and started to give more and more of his Reversion power to Valerie.

"Valerie... is that you?"

"YES!" Valerie had to contain her elation when Oscar responded within her mind. "Are you hearing me ok?"

"Loud and clear, Miss Valerie!"

"Perfect!" Valerie then opened her eyes. "Now for the hard part. But I must filter out Yukiko and all the Fabregans. And I can't break Cameron's focus, he's got to stay focused on Yukiko." she closed her eyes again. "Everyone... if you can hear my voice! Please listen, my name is Valerie!"

...

As this happened, around one of the shelters, a few children were running through one of the parks in the city. They instantly stopped. "Hey, Mike. Did you just say something?"

The girl among the trio stopped. "That didn't sound like him, though. You heard it too."

"If you can hear me, then you have no doubt seen the destruction and Bakugan battling all over New York. I am projecting my thoughts to every Man, woman, and child with a Bakugan."

Mike looked at his Ventus Jelldon and the Bakugan tried to nod.

...

A boy looked outside of his apartment window as their parents were locked onto the news broadcast. "As you might know... New York has been invaded by a hostile force. Their leader aims to become the new Grand leader of Earth. But there are some very brave battlers, soldiers, and police trying to prevent that from happening... And now, I must beg for your help."

"H-huh... what is happening?"

...

At the same time, within a shelter, there were many crying children with many caretakers, adults, and teens trying to calm them down while it felt like the city was falling apart around them. "This is a desperate situation. And I need all your help. For transparency, I am also a Fabregan, but I am trying to put an end to this madness. I am begging all of you to help me."

One of the teenage helpers stopped and heard Valerie's voice. "Wait... how is this possible? She's talking to all of us!?"

...

As Valerie spoke outwardly, she could hear the confusion from their thoughts. As the bewilderment continued, a few dissenting voices spoke out.

"Is this for real!?"

"NO! She said she's Fabregan! We can't trust anything she says!"

"He's right. It could be a trap!"

"I wish we could leave the city!"

Valerie's brow furrowed as she tried to speak in between the voices that were overwhelmed with a lot of emotions. "Please... you must believe me! The fate of your planet hangs in the balance!"

"Don't trust her. It's just a Fabregan trap!"

"Take your people and go away!"

"I'm scared! Mommy! Daddy!"

"ENOUGH!" all the voices stopped when they heard a voice that they somewhat recognized. Valerie felt a hand on her shoulder.

Standing beside Valerie was Cera in her Reversion Form, tired circles hung around her eyes. "I am only going to say this once. And I hate repeating myself. I and a lot of my friends have been putting our lives on the line. To protect and save as many people as possible! Make no mistake, this isn't a trick. This Fabregan girl is humbling herself, begging you for her help. She's blind and can't walk. Yet she's here trying to do her part to stop this invasion. So, I ask you? What are you doing!? Even if you tried to fight and lost... you can still fight! We're all fighting because we all stand to lose everything if Yukiko's forces defeat us!"

"No freaking way! That's Cera Rise!"

"Even she's fighting the aliens?"

"What kind of weird trip is this!?"

"Maybe she has a point!"

"I dunno..."

"I LOVE YOU! CERA!"

It appeared Cera's sheer popularity and battling prowess managed to slowly turn the tide, however she needed to convince them of the stakes. "Each Bakugan batter wants to be the best, but now it's about more than that. It's about survival, to continue to live in peace. The people who want to take Earth only care about being the strongest. Survival of the fittest, Strong overpowering the weak. That's not a world we want to live in and I know you don't want to either. Now please... if this turns out to be a trap, then you can throw the blame squarely on me. I'll shoulder the responsibility for your losses. But for now, trust me and trust this girl in front of me."

The descent had deafened, and the voices were looking to both Cera and Valerie for comfort and guidance. Many of the battlers had thrown their hats into the ring and most had lost or had narrowly escaped with their Bakugan, unfortunately, some weren't so lucky. But the desperation in both their voices was evident that this was as serious as they said. Now many of them had felt their last hopes fall into the laps of a disabled alien girl.

Cera looked upward. "I assume you can take it from here." she powered down to her base form and she fell onto Lunaris.

Valerie then put her plan into action. "Now... I assume all of you know what Reversion is."

When Cameron stood in the middle of Times Square, the lights of the many advertising boards were dimming, as scenes of his previous bout with Yukiko were seen.

"Heh, seems fitting to make our last stand," Blazeon said. They heard heels following them. He turned and saw the menacing fox in the distance.

When Cameron saw the dried blood stains on his arm, he felt so much fear, despite the rest, he felt far from his best, but Yukiko wasn't at her best too. But she was here and there was no turning back. "You needn't worry about your allies. They are down, but still alive. That is the only mercy I will afford to you. Ready to face your fate?"

Blazeon and Cameron transformed into their Reversion forms, deciding to make a final stand. "Hey, Cameron... whatever happens... I want you to know... you're an awesome partner. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I love ya, kid."

Despite the pain, he smiled at Blazeon's compassionate words. "Even though in the beginning, I was very weak. You've stuck by me, and we've just gotten stronger and stronger. Yukiko hasn't won yet, and just know... I'll go right to the end... To be honest... I'm terrified at this battle, but knowing that you're here... I'm ready to do this." Blazeon smirked at Cameron's response. "This isn't to be the best battler, this is to ensure we continue to live... and, maybe just maybe inspire others to do better. The mistakes we made as a species, the mistakes the Fabregans made... all the people that died... I'm going to make sure none of that gets repeated, and if I can't pull that off... then maybe I can inspire others who can."

"All I'll say is this." Blazeon started. "This will be one hell of a bedtime story for your kid one of these days!"

"If Yukiko wants to step into hell? Then..." his hands ignited with azure flames, letting off hopeful embers into the early dawn sky. "Then I'll show her how HOT it really is!"

Yukiko and Kyubis stopped walking. "SO! Are you ready to face your destiny?" she said pulling out a sword cloaked by black flames.

Cameron and Blazeon's bodies were surrounded by orange flames becoming almost as bright as Times Square itself. "I'm not running anymore, Yukiko... I have to face reality... and... if that means fighting you to the death! Then so be it!"

Blazeon stepped forward. "We'd rather die on our feet than live on our knees! So, if you really think you've got what it takes! Give us your BEST SHOT!" his defiant roar echoed through the streets.

Yukiko smirked. "There's that battling spirit I've been waiting for." Cameron, showing no fear, rushed forward and his dragon claws clashed with Yukiko's blades that were crossed to defend herself while Blazeon headbutted Kyubis who managed to stand firm.

"I know I'm not serious... and my dream was to be the best brawler..." he headbutted Yukiko, making her stagger back. "But in the end, Bakugan are very powerful creatures and shouldn't be used like toys. But that shouldn't take the enjoyment from battling that both battlers and Bakugan enjoy, and it should be in a world of peace." Cameron's fist clenched "They have dreams too. I've seen the reality, but that doesn't mean the millions of battlers shouldn't be exposed to it like this!" He fired a blast of fiery energy at Yukiko who shoved it away with her blade.

"You're just a child! Why would you shield them from reality?!" She generated five ghosts around her and so did Kyubis.

As they got close Blazeon stepped on the ground. "DRAGON FIREWALL!" He created a hemisphere of raging fire that made that dissipated the ghosts as soon as they got close.

Blazeon gazed at the pair. "Because if you ask me. Reality SUCKS! If we can keep them from hurting each other, why ruin what we've built between people and Bakugan? They are companions and friends. Militaring them is sick!"

"Naive fools! Nogitsune Slash!" Yae Kyubis shot forward with her claws with black flames trickling off them, as she sped toward Blazeon.

Blazeon flew right at Kyubis. "Dazzling Wing Slash!" the Reversion ability powered his limbs with flames, their claws clashed with each other, and Cameron blocked Yukiko's sword strike.

As this happened, Shreikon had his paw over Valerie's head. "Reversion is the bond between People and Bakugan. While it won't manifest in power for most of you. The friendship you have with your Bakugan is proof that it exists. I need you all, to do exactly as I say. Think back on your bond with your Bakugan, your triumphs, your struggles, your victories, your defeats. Think about how your bond has grown with time."

Many battlers had their hands clasped as they followed Valerie's instructions, gripping their hands together while their defeated Bakugan were on their shoulders. The rest were outside with their Bakugan in their true forms, following Valerie's orders.

"The brave battlers are not only fighting to keep Earth safe, but they are also fighting for all your dreams. And the dream to keep living with Bakugan in peace. It is up to us to not let their sacrifice fall in vain."

The battlers continued to put their thoughts together. When they thought back on their bonds, they were manifesting a bright white aura that flicked off them like calm flames.

"Whoa! What is this!?"

"I feel something! Is it working?"

"I feel very tingly!"

Blazeon was pushed back and slid back. Kyubis threw her claws down close to Cameron sending him far back. His wings flapped and adjusted his descent, he saw Yukiko throwing herself forward, while covered in a pink aura. "Damn, she's too close. I can't get away!"

A loud clash of metal was heard, Cameron looked up and saw a black figure in front of him, using their sword to block the attack, from her emerald eyes, a bright green aura flashed soon after, and transformed into her Reversion Form.

"Akira?"

She smiled in response as Radion flew in and punched Kyubis, pushing her back. "And now our combination-"

"TEMPEST SHARD!" Akira and Radion flung green shards of energy at the Fox duo, Kyubis was pelted while Yukiko tried to cut through them, as she slid back.

"Y-you're here... wait, so that means..."

"We won? Yes. Barely. But we did."

"HEY FIREFOX!" atop another advertising building for a popular make-up brand. Jayden and Velocirex within their Reversion forms were seen diving down toward the fox duo.

Yukiko glared upward. "Your team-up is nothing to me! Chrono Dilation!" there was a large orange hemisphere all over Times Square and all within it, had their motion reduced to slow motion while Yukiko moved normally.

Outside of the sphere. Cera and Lunaris hovered close by. Both held their arms out while they formed a magic circle. "Moon Reversal!" the entirety of Times Square flashed into a negative color before turning back to normal. The time sphere Yukiko created had disappeared. "Your turn Garfield!"

"HEY FIREFOX!" Yukiko looked skyward and Jayden was falling toward him.

"Whoa... deja vu!" Yukiko breathed

"Spinning Fury!" behind her, she saw Garfield and Aquafibian spinning like drills Kyubis got jumped by the attacks while Yukiko had blocked Jayden and Aquafibian with her swords.

"SHIT!" Yukiko cursed as her feet cratered into the asphalt. "I'll put all of you down!" she exclaimed. "Kumiho Fury!" the sky turned red as black and red meteors were raining from the sky.

"EVERYONE! GROUP UP!" They saw Aisha leaping down from another building. All the Neo Brawlers stood together while their Bakugan grouped up as Bearth roared behind them.

"Mega EARTH BARRIER!" Both Bearth and Aisha punched the ground hard, magnetizing every bit of asphalt and rock and even large rubble from fallen buildings toward them. The meteors crashed into Times Square, pelting through the buildings, and turning the whole area into a fallen battlefield. Explosion after explosion continued to ring through.

The red skies cleared, and dust and smoke covered where the Earth barrier used to be. As the dust cleared. Yukiko saw all six Neo Brawlers, standing together along with their Bakugan standing behind them.

"You might have ambition..." Cameron started. "But you're fighting for your ambition alone. The main difference between us is that you fight for yourself. I fight for things greater than me. Because I'm willing to sacrifice myself for my friends, they will return the favor in kind."

"I don't need friends!" Yukiko exclaimed. "I've always been alone, and that's how I'll end this! All by myself!"

Cameron eyed Akira. "Hey... I know it's a bad time, but is Zavanna ok?"

"Don't worry, I last saw her helping the injured in Central Park. She was a big help. But let's focus on what's in front of us!"

"Got it!"

"Burning Petals!" Kyubis let loose a stream of dark flames with red Sakura petals inside them.

Bearth ran forward while magnetizing rubble to his arms. "Earth Barrier!" Aisha punched the ground, making a pillar rise from the ground to block the flames. The pillar exploded and through the smoke, Yukiko looked through and saw glowing eyes speeding toward her with her claws engulfed in black flames. "COPYCAT!" the tips of her bear claws battered against her own. Bearth meanwhile locked his fingers with Kyubis in an intense battle of strength while his claws were blazing with Kyubis' own energy.

Above everyone, Radion somersaulted in the air. "Zepher Dance! BANZAIIIII!" her feet landed on Kyubis' face, throwing off the large fox. Akira, powered by Zepher Dance was going for slashes against Yukiko while working in tandem with Aisha.

The Alursian had enough and had black ghastly energy surround her. "Jinchūriki Soul Attack!" both her and Kyubis' souls linked and both were attacking in unison, mirroring each other's attacks and managing to keep both their enemy's attacks at bay.

"Jeez, how can you keep up with us!?" Aisha cried.

"AHHHGH!" Akira was elbowed in the chest and staggered, and her Reversion energy had finally exhausted herself.

"Crap! I'm out!" Radion's energy also faded, allowing Kyubis to fire a blast of black fiery energy right at the weakened Bakugan.

"AHHH!" Radion was caught by Bearth stopping her momentum.

When Yukiko saw that Akira was open, her sword shimmered, and she slashed the ground, sending a powered arc of energy toward her. Aisha leaped in front of her, taking the brunt of the attack, and guarded Akira from harm. The arc sent both into an empty restaurant.

Bearth put the knocked-out Radion on her back and leaped to retreat from Kyubis. Within the shattered glass of the steakhouse. Aisha was seen holding Akira bridal style, the Ventus battler shook her head, woke up, and saw herself in Aisha's arms.

"You, ok?" Akira wordlessly nodded in response. "Good, it's time someone saved you for once!"

Akira's face flushed in embarrassment. "Mind putting me down?"

"Nope! You're done fighting for the day!"

"Nande watashi?" Akira said sounding exasperated. They both heard heels slowly moving toward them.

But before she got close, they saw six Jaydens intercepting her. "How do you like facing against Six Jayden's!?" he confidently pointed at her. Velocirex slid into the scene but not a second later, a puff of smoke covered both and they reverted to their base forms, and the clone Jaydens disappeared. Jayden let out a defeated sigh. "Oh god-dammit!"

Garfield, who was cloaked in water had bashed his head into Yukiko, sending her flying. He eyed the three of them. "You guys get to safety! Cera and I will hold her off as long as we can." Cera flew forward as she flew over to assist.

Aisha then saw pillars of lights shooting up into the air. Becoming as tall as the many towers in New York. "It's working! Val's plan is working!" Aisha exclaimed.

By this point every battler in the city was trying to focus on their Reversion energy, trying to manifest it.

Valerie could hear the thoughts of all the battlers manifesting their Reversion energy into the sky. "We're almost there! Everyone. Now for the final step. Raise your hands in the air. All of you! Send your energy into the heavens, and they will provide our last hope for unity. A New Dawn for Earth."

As she told them her latest instruction. They all raised their hands into the air, and the pillars they created grew wider until each of them turned into different-sized orbs representing each of the individuals' inner Reversion Energy.

Above the Vestal Destroyer, there was a tremendous orb of light hanging over it. "Tch! It should be us taking on that Fox! I hate sitting on the sidelines!" Spectra watched his Bakugan grumble in annoyance as own his hands were raised above his head. "And now you're reduced to give our power to a bunch of whelps! Isn't this humiliating!?"

"Now, now Helios... these children have been at the center of this from the very beginning. I don't see why we shouldn't let them close the book to this chapter. It's not our fight, simple as that!"

"Fine... but the next time, you better get me a battle with that new Dragonoid! I have to become the strongest again!"

Spectra chuckled. "You'll get your wish when this is all over, Helios."

Yukiko continued to fight off both Cera and Garfield. Aquafibian and Garfield were running around the Pyrus duo as Cera and Lunaris hovered in the air. "Keep her steady Garfield! Meteor Scales!" gleaming scales leaped off their wings and they were shooting toward Yukiko. The tiny pinpricks were preventing both her and Kyubis from moving forward.

"DO IT NOW!" Lunaris yelled.

Garfield and Aquafibian's speed increased. "WATER GAIAAAA!" a mass of water was bubbling underneath Kyubis and Yukiko.

"Now what!?" an exasperated Yukiko exclaimed. The water soon exploded into a tremendous tower of rapids that engulfed them.

Garfield and Aquafibian who stood on the ground covered their eyes. "Did we get her?"

Before long a pair of menacing eyes looked through the water tower. "Stop it! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!" a pink energy was building within the water tower. "BURNING PETALS!" a sphere of pink flames with black sakura petals surrounded her. The flame orb had dissipated the water tower, evaporating the water rapidly. Kyubis had raced into the sky slashing both Cera and Lunaris in one clean hit, knocking them back into their base forms and sending them to the ground below.

Yukiko slashed through Aquafibian while sending a fiery ghost version of herself to cut through Garfield. Their Reversion energy diminished around them. She looked down at the wounded Garfield. "This is for getting in the way of my ambition!" she was about to drive her steel into his abdomen.

"NOOOOO!" Cameron, engulfed in rapid flames from Dazzling Tornado bulldozed right through the Fox Alursian throwing her into a roll onto the concrete. She got up and noticed all the floating orbs of Reversion energy filling the cityscape. Blazeon had fired a Combustion Dragon at Kyubis, making her fall from the sky.

"What the hell is all this now!?" she saw Cameron standing firm, panting, and shivering from his wounds but he was firmly on his feet. "Are you done making your friends fight for you!?" she asked as the rest of the Neo Brawlers stood by, behind Cameron in unity alongside their Bakugan.

"AISHA NOW!"

She heard Valerie's voice call out within her head. She un-pocketed the Gate Card she got from Kimiko that was made by Spectra. As a final action, a white aura surrounded her as a white orb rose in her hand, she tossed it skyward as she and Bearth fell into their base forms.

"THIS IS THE PLAN GUYS! GATE CARD SET!" she tossed the Forbidden Card onto the field and once it fell face down onto the ground, it shone dark red before it was absorbed by the cracked ground while releasing a powerful black sheen that was pushing against everyone, nearly throwing everyone off of their feet.

"Wait... the plan?" Aisha placed her hand on Cameron's back.

"This is Valerie's last wager!" she explained with a smile.

Jayden stood next to her while his hand was on Cameron's back as well. "And you're our trump card, kid!"

Garfield was next to Jayden and he put his hand on Cameron's back as well. "It's the only thing powerful enough to beat Yukiko."

He then felt Cera's hand reaching over to his left shoulder. "See those orbs... it's the Reversion Energy of every battler in the city."

Finally, on his right shoulder, Akira's palm rested as she spoke close to his ear. "We're giving what's left of our Reversion Energy to you! You're the only one we can trust to finish this!"

"What...?"

Their Bakugan were also around Blazeon. "You're finally going to get the awesome finish you wanted, Blazeon." Velocirex quipped

"We're carrying our hopes with you, Dragonoid. Please don't squander it." Lunaris requested.

"Don't let it all go to your head," Bearth said with a wink.

"We believe in, you," Aquafibian said.

Radion winked at him. "You've got this Blazey!"

"Cameron... Blazeon... this is it! The gate card is the key." he heard Valerie's voice in his head. "This was my plan. Aisha told me about the gate card, and this is our best chance. Now go forth, carry everyone's hopes into a new future!"

Cameron shot a serious look at Yukiko; her fangs were borne, and her tails were puffed. "You're wrong... my friends are fighting with me. And that's the difference between us. You're alone, and I have people on my side relying on me." he closed his eyes. "I must admit... it's a lot of pressure on my shoulders, but this is not a game anymore. Everyone has put their trust, hopes, and dreams in me. And I refuse to let them down!"

Yukiko's sword shone brightly. "I have hopes and dreams too, but they were shattered a long time ago. And I will show you that pain! The pain of living through life with BROKEN DREAMS!" she threw herself forward.

The Neo Brawlers shouted in unison. "GATE CARD OPEN! VESTROIAN MERGE!" the forbidden card activated, drawing sharp cutting lines into the concrete and pavement. Within those lines, white energy peeked outward. The white orbs of Reversion Energy were being magnetized toward the battlefield. It surrounded the Neo Brawlers and their Bakugan into a tremendous energy geyser that blanketed the entirety of Times Square in white, forcing Yukiko to shield her eyes.

When she lowered her arm, she gasped at the sight she saw. Each of the Neo Brawlers was unleashing their battle cries as they were shifting in and out of their Reversion Forms. The orbs continued to be absorbed by the energy geyser and this continued to build their power. A large burst of energy occurred as the ground was starting to buckle under the pressure the Reversion energy was providing. As this happened, Akira, Cera, Jayden, Aisha, and Garfield's power was fading. They powered down to their base forms but Cameron's power continued building as he transformed into his Ascended form. The same happened to Blazeon and their roars echoed through the entire city. The geyser started to shrink as it only surrounded Blazeon and Cameron.

They shot up into the sky with the energy continuing to rage around them. They raised their hands into the air compressing the Reversion Energy into a white orb. The dragon duo poured as much energy into the orb as they could. It grew and grew, growing to become twice the size of Blazeon. Anyone who could see the energy from outside saw that it had the appearance of a miniature sun and it continued to expand.

Yukiko tightly gripped her swords; she looked up and tried to fight against the blasts of white energy pushing against her. The Reversion Bomb continued to swell as more Reversion energy was being dragged into growing energy mass. Yukiko and Kyubis were seen flying up into the air attempting to take them down. The Alursian mounted her Bakugan for one final attack.

"SEARING SALAMANDER!" a red and silver figure had swiped through Yukiko and Kyubis. They both fell to the ground while the figure landed a couple of feet from them.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Yukiko exclaimed while holding her swords upward. She eyed Zavanna who was lightly put onto her feet. She shifted her pupils right at her partner.

"Ugh! Soul Burn!" Kyubis exclaimed, she stomped hard on the ground, sending waves of flames toward Zavanna. The Fabregan had hidden behind Scorchiree while he bravely took on the raging fires that engulfed him. When the fiery rampage ended, Zavanna gasped when she saw Yukiko behind her.

Yukiko's pupils shrunk to the size of seeds as she swung her sword close, aiming right for Zavanna's neck. Zavanna was frozen in fear while the steel veered closer and closer. A pair of strong arms had grabbed Zavanna's shoulders. Before those hands wrapped around her, a slash was heard as steel tore through flesh and scales. Cameron held Zavanna as tight as he could while his upper back and shoulders had been cut and were leaking blood. When he turned around, Yukiko's expression was frozen due to the fury she saw in his eyes.

"YOU... YOU BASTARD!" Cameron opened his maw, blowing a blasting stream of blue flames right in front of Yukiko. The flames made her shut her eyes, when she felt the heat cool, she opened her eyes. She saw him speeding toward her. She flipped her right-hand sword, flinging herself forward, attempting to take him down. But Cameron's sharp fangs dug into the steel, making a sobering, metallic crack reverberate around them. Her pupils shrunk and she backed away as shards of her right sword were falling to the ground in chunks.

"W-what how?!" Cameron swung a claw at her, which she blocked with her broken sword. Right when the steel clashed with his claws, the remnants of the sword completely shattered into pieces. When he readied another punch, Kyubis landed next to Yukiko, generating orbs of black fire around herself. And threw them over toward Cameron, he leaped over two orbs, but he wasn't ready for the third one. Scorchiree had jumped in front of Cameron and took the attack.

Cameron eyed his opponent and could see that Yukiko was panting and sweating, her last remaining sword felt heavy, despite its design to be light. "N-no... I can't stop now." she clenched her hand while slowly raising it into the air. High above the city, there was a circular space-time rift of energy that slowly opened to reveal a large red projection of a nine-tailed fox that was falling toward them. As it got closer and closer. The fox was falling towards Blazeon who was still generating the orb of Reversion Energy above him.

"THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!" Blazeon exclaimed, "You were supposed to hold her off remember!?"

Yukiko on the ground meanwhile had red and black embers rising off of her. "This will be the last time you ever get in my way! Jinchuriki..." Yukiko and Kyubis' flames mirrored each other as their eyes turned a shade of bloody crimson. "Soul..." Their sword and claws respectively were emitting red and black infernos around them before the pair started sprinting as fast as they could, both wearing the exact same expression of fury. "ATTAAAAACK!" Cameron and Scorchiree prepared themselves for the rough hit. But a pair of people ran in front of them. Andreas and Akira were seen sprinting forward as Yukiko's fiery blade encountered a wind blade and a Haos gauntlet saber.

"Vengeance Scale plus Watera's Slicer!" Appearing as a blue blur with a red outline was Marvellion while she had long blades of water stretching out from her arms. They clashed and countered Kyubis' attack.

The fox projection was still falling toward Blazeon, however a Haos Bakugan was seen leaping outward toward the fox. "FLAXEN TRAP!" Gleamroller was revealed to have turned around and the fox projection had crashed into him instead of Blazeon. His carapace was gleaming bright red, while the attack was hurting him, the body of the fox was slowly being absorbed into his carapace. As he was holding onto this power, he could feel his body burning up before landing hard onto his feet.

On the ground, both Akira and Andreas were forced back by the force of Yukiko's attack. Cameron was about to attack until he heard. "Now Gleamroller! FLAXEN LAUNCH!" He turned to where his back was facing Yukiko and Kyubis. Gleamroller's carapace was shining bright red before they discharged in the form of a bright red beam. The tip of the plasma blast was shaped like a fox, indicating it was using the power of Yukiko's own attack.

"Watera's Charm!" Yukiko and Kyubis were completely covered in a large sphere of water. Both Pyrus entities Yukiko turned around to see Jax in his Reversion form as he was casting the sphere water prison that kept them trapped. She tried reaching for her sword that was mere finger-tips out of reach. All while Gleamroller's Flaxen Launch had cut right through Yukiko, Kyubis, and the water barrier, destroying the ground where she stood, sparks were crackling around her while she was panting profusely.

Cameron hovered back up to Blazeon while watching Jax who raised his hand, transforming back to his base form. His reversion energy spread to the orb that Blazeon was continuing to hold up.

'Cameron!' He heard Valarie from within his head. 'You've absorbed all the Reversion Energy within New York City. If you're going to use it, now would be the time.'

Cameron raised his hands, covering himself and Blazeon in raging blue flames. The white orb grew to a tremendous size. "Cameron! It's now or never!" as he looked down at Yukiko who looked at the power he was holding with wide eyes.

"You spoke about ambition earlier, and how nothing will ever be the same ever again. That much is true, but when the ashes clear up from this. I hope that we can live alongside Bakugan, like on Fabrega, and that can't happen if you destroy everything."

"You fool... I only destroy those that get in our way. You're really going to stand by these people who don't know the power you children hold in your hands?"

"After today, they will know... and the world will change. But whatever happens, we'll fight to keep the harmony and peace in this world!"

Black flames flared all over Yukiko, her ears and tails pointed upward. "I want peace too!"

"At the expense of our cities?"

"YOU HUMANS ASKED FOR IT!"

"And you asked for THIS!" Blazeon roared. The reversion orb flared while Kyubis and Yukiko leaped skyward toward the pair.

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

"YOU WON'T DESTROY MY WORLD!"

As Yukiko and Kyubis got closer, Cameron and Blazeon flung their arms forward, sending the Reversion orb to their foes.

"YUKIKO!" Kyubis flew in front of her partner, extended her clawed hands, and managed to place her hands on the orb as they were both sent crashing into the ground.

The Orb was digging against the concrete, ripping up the roads and infrastructure. Many of the buildings within the area were vibrating violently as Kyubis' feet dragged onto the damaged road as they tried to push back the orb that was towering over her and her partner in tremendous a blanket of white. She was able to slowly stop it but was using most of her strength just to slow it down.

"It's not working!" Blazeon exclaimed both he and his partner still spreading their arms downward to push the energy right at Yukiko.

"Then let's add our own energy!" Sparkles from their Ascended forms were spreading into the orb making bright blue flames around it. They quickly downgraded to their Reversion Forms. While still slowly adding their Reversion Energy.

Kyubis was being pushed back yet again. As this happened, she let out a grunting sigh, the blue flames were burning her, and could see Yukiko was pouring as much of her own energy into pushing it back. "OH COME ON!" Yukiko screamed. "WHY? Why... why can't things ever work out...?"

"...Yukiko..."

"DON'T SAY IT! DONT'T SAY IT! DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT! WE CAN'T LOSE!"

Kyubis let out a sigh. "For a long time, I've hated myself for not being strong enough to save your mother. I won't let the same thing happen to you!" Yukiko suddenly felt her own energy being sucked out forcefully and Kyubis' power was growing.

"AHHH! Kyubis what the hell are you-!?"

"I may fall here, but you won't. I refuse to let you share Ran-Seki's fate! This world may not be ours, but this is the only place where we can exist." Yukiko felt one of Kyubis' tails wrap around her. "Don't just fight, Yukiko... above all else... survive!" her tail tightened her grip.

"NO!"

The tail flung Yukiko far backward. The foxkin extended her arm as she slowly faded out of her Reversion Form. She then rolled violently on the ground. She recovered to her knees. With teary eyes, she looked up at her partner who was engulfed in blue flames.

"...Goodbye... Yukiko..."

She looked forward while her shrunken pupils shuddered. Her heart sank, and as she watched her partner disappear into the orb all the while, she looked at Yukiko, trying her best to manage a smile while locking eyes with her for the very last time.

Yukiko slowly shook her head in disbelief before shaking her head as she began to sob. "KYUUBIIIIIS!" the fox's cry echoed through the ruins of Times Square. The orb fully engulfed nearly the whole of the iconic location in a vast gleam of white that was flickering all over. The tremendous explosion echoed all over New York. The energy shockwaves blew small cars and bikes off the ground, shattering windows and sending people flying. A family nearby was sent flying, but they were caught by a large bear paw.

Bearth was standing behind them along with the rest of the Neo Brawler's Bakugan. Aisha looked at the crying boy and gave him a thumbs-up with a wink.

The flashing had stopped, revealing a colossal crater in the middle of Times Square, many of the buildings within close range of the buildings were decimated. Standing dead center in the crater was a stone sculpture of the Fox Bakugan, red sparkles were slowly leaking off, taking tiny bits of her body piece by piece. The bright red beacons were reduced to ashes when they got high enough. The sculpture depicted the Kyubis' last action, trying in vain to push back the Reversion bomb while managing to save her partner's life.

Yukiko crawled herself up to the statue... "Kyubis..." she laid a tender touch on the statue. "I was not worth your sacrifice..."

She saw Blazeon in his base form landing hard onto the ground. Cameron gingerly got off, he was battling to stay on his feet due to his many injuries. "OW! Without the Reversion, I'm really feeling it!" he eyed Yukiko who was looking at her sword with a very focused expression.

"Don't worry, bud," Blazeon assured. "I've still got enough juice to roast her alive!"

Cameron shook his head. "I don't think that will be necessary." Despite the pain screaming through his body, he slowly limped toward her, while she stood still her remaining sword gripped so tightly in her hand, that her hand was almost white while it shook. As Cameron slightly looked up at her, he let out a breath.

"I'm sorry..." he apologized; Yukiko twitched her head in shock at what he was saying. "I... I went for the kill." he eyed Kyubis's slowly dissipating statue. "I didn't think Kyubis would sacrifice herself."

Yukiko didn't even have a response to his words. But then she readied her sword, reeling her right arm around herself. Blazeon was sprinting toward the pair. "Don't think about it you bitch!" Blazeon roared. Yukiko's blade cut through the dusty air, the tip managing to only slightly make its mark before she released its grip. The blade was sent flying into a broken rock right on the other end of the crater.

As Cameron braced himself, he only saw that there was a tear in his shirt while there was a slight cut in his upper chest. "Killing you would do no good. It would change nothing."

Cameron shook his head. "You've done a lot of damage... killed a lot of innocent people. And... Maybe you deserve the same fate. But... now that the dust has settled, I realize that I don't want that decision to rest on my shoulders. You can call it cowardly, I know. And I wish I didn't have to do what I did to Kyubis... but if I held back in any way, then I would have died. Survival of the Fittest and all that. But that doesn't mean I have to like it!"

"You... you're one weird kid... you know that?"

"Don't get the wrong idea... I just wanted to brawl; become the best battler I could be... maybe even the best in the world. But this fight was much bigger than that. And you threatened to dominate and destroy anyone who would get in your way. You had to be stopped, one way or another. So, I'll only say this once and once only! Do something like this again... and the next time, I really will send you to hell, just like you wanted." his warning was emphasized with a yellow glow as his eyes turned draconian.

Before they could move, army vehicles were converging on them with helicopters overhead, one was a police chopper, and another belonging to a news station. "T-that's the same kid we saw earlier! Did he and his pet dragon really stop the rampage?"

Elsewhere, Suzuna Fowler was inside a private jet and was grasping a tablet that was locked onto the New York Coverage. "Miss, how long before we get to New York?"

From within the pilot's seat, Cera's maid, Samantha was holding onto the controls while looking back at her single passenger. "We will be there in the next hour or so, be patient ma'am."

As she watched the display, she was feeling a mix of relief and fury. "When I find you, young man. You are going to be in SO much trouble!"

"CAMERON!" Elsewhere the rest of the Neo Brawlers had arrived in the crater, and Zavanna was seen leaping onto Cameron. But he fell over right as soon as she embraced him, for a moment forgetting about his injuries. "Oh, great Jaya... I am so sorry!"

Cameron tried to laugh it off. "Haha, I've been breaking my body all day, what's one more broken bone, heh!"

"Not something to joke about, baka." He saw Akira offer her hand, which he gladly accepted.

"So!" Jayden approached them. "How does it feel to save the world, kid?"

"It was a team effort; I couldn't have done it without you guys. Especially without Xara- Wait where are Sakuya and Xaramesi!?" they heard footsteps approaching them and saw Sakuya holding a wounded and tired Xaramesi on her back.

"Is this the expression you guys call... 'Speak of the Devil'?" Xaramesi questioned.

"You're OK!"

"We held her back as long as we could, but she realized she'd waste more time killing us, than trying to go after you. So, she beat us but didn't waste us afterward."

They looked at army personnel putting Yukiko in very thick handcuffs while another person was holding her sword. Sakuya then noticed Kyubis's disappearing body. "So did you...?"

Cameron nodded. "Kyubis is gone... I'm not happy about it, but if I didn't... who knows how this would have ended? And Yukiko was spared... when I apologized, she threw away her chance to kill me." He looked around and noticed something. "Where's Aisha? And for that matter, Cera and Garfield are also missing."

"Don't worry," Akira assured. "They are helping those who are trapped in buildings or those too injured to move. Soon after you won, Valarie passed on another message, those strong enough to move and that have Bakugan should immediately assist with search and rescue." Akira looked up. "Imagine, the world's most popular city, turned into a Bakugan Warzone."

They watched Yukiko being herded into a large, black armored prison vehicle. They saw General Barnes saluting the soldiers and he tapped on the vehicle, and it was driving out of the crater. He moved over to the group of teens. "Are you the one who fought that Fox person?" Cameron nodded.

"About what happened? Well..." Cameron nervously scratched his head. "That's going to be some...ow!" his legs gave out as Zavanna and Akira caught him by his arms.

"Looks like the adrenaline is wearing off," Blazeon said. He looked down at General Barnes. "You there, military person. Get my friend here some medical attention!?" Right as Blazeon made the request, Cameron's eyes were getting heavy.

The second Zavanna noticed she started to panic. "N-no Cameron... stay with us!"

"It's ok... Zavanna... I just need... five...minu-" his eyes shut, before everything went black.
