PAW Patrol: Project Resurrection
Hello everybody, I'm back with another PAW Patrol fan fiction. This is a continuation of my previous short story PAW Patrol and the Gold mine, so I would suggest that you go and read that one first to understand this one, please leave a review and enjoy this new story.
Chapter 1: GreifChase opened his eyes slowly; he winced as pain shot through his body. But the memories he had from the previous day were more painful than the injuries. He jumped to his feet, despite the searing pain. He was devastated by what he saw, the gate, blown to pieces, his friends all lay dead around him, pierced by the enemy's blades.
"No, no, noooooo, this can't be true," Chase cried.
Chase sat down and hung his head, he felt like a complete failure. It was his job to keep his friends safe, and he felt as if it was his fault. It wasn't his fault that death pulled his evil schemes on them, but Chase felt that he had failed his friends. Chase began to cry, until he heard something that made him shoot his head up.
"Hello, who's there," Chase asked.
"C-Cha-ase, help, help, please, I can't move, I need you, please," Skye said weakly.
Chase raced to Skye's side, he gasped as he saw that her wounds were fatal.
"Help me please, please," Skye groaned weakly.
"Skye, it's okay, it's okay," Chase panicked.
Skye began to panic, as her life began to slowly slip away into the darkness of death, Chase became frantic. Both Chase and Skye could see that Skye didn't have much time left.
"Chase, I'm, dying, what do we do," Skye cried.
"I, I, don't know, I can't do anything but, but tell you that I love you and that I will fix this and make it right," Chase said.
"But, h-how," Skye whispered.
"I don't know, but I promise I will find a way, even if I have to walk through the nether, I will find away," Chase said.
Skye felt very confident that chase would find away to fix things. Skye used the last bit of energy to grab chase and bring him close and kissed him with every ounce of strength. Chase could not believe what was happening, he returned the kiss and closed his eyes.
"I believe in you Chase, bring our life back, I know you can do it, see you soon," Skye said as she breathed her last breath.
"No, no, no" Chase yelled.
Chase began to weep; he picked Skye up and cradled her in his paws. Chase cried and held Skye, hugging her, for hours, until he finally accepted that Skye was gone. He put her down on her pup bed; he did the same for the rest of his friends. He promised Skye on her death that he would find away to bring her and his friends back, but how. Skye's kiss and encouraging last words made Chase determined to fulfill his promise.
Chase noticed that the two undead dogs from the raid had been killed in the creeper explosion. But the place where death, the black wolf, used to lay, thought by Chase to have been dead, was empty.
"How did that scumbag survive that explosion, and where is he now," Chase said.
Chase did not know how death survived the explosion, but he hoped that death had left. Chase turned to the task he had at hand, resurrecting his friends. He walked into the library that they had in the now deserted town. He searched until he found the legends section. He read and read for hours until he found something that told him about death. The legend described a wolf, black as night, eyes read as blood, and according to this legend the wolf had found an amulet in the depths of the nether. This amulet contained and ancient evil, the moment death put it on he was filled with the lust for gold, silver, iron, and diamonds, and he was filled with hate for all creatures that had this riches. Death then returned to the overworld and began to wreak havoc. The amulet gave him eternal life and immortality, he could shoot lightning out of his paws, and many great warriors were slain in attempts to destroy him. The only way to kill him according to the legend was to rip the amulet of his neck.
This was helpful, but it was not what Chase was looking for. He put the book back and continued searching. Until he found what he was looking for, the legend of the nether said that everyone who died went there to be tortured for eternity. The nether was a place of torment, it contained monsters, built for torture, it contained lave and the eternal fire. There is one way to bring people back from the dead, many have tried, but none have succeeded. According to the legend, you had to brew a potion that contained varies herbs, an ounce of silver, some Redstone dust and some blood of the person you are trying to resurrect. Then you had to bring an item that belonged to that person in order for them to return to life they had to have that item and drink the potion.
"Yes, I knew this library would come in handy, now I know that I can do it," Chase said.
Chase continued reading to find out what perils await him in the nether, and most importantly how to get to the nether. He found that the journey would be full of deadly monsters and that you had to create a nether portal out of obsidian.
"Now how am I going to get a nether portal," Chase thought to himself.
Right at that moment he heard a familiar sound that made him leap with joy. He's friend Tracker, the wandering trader and explorer, outside the old gate. Chase sped outside to great his friend.
"TRACKER," Chase yelled with excitement.
"Hola, amigo, how have you been," Tracker asked
"Oh, it's good to see you," Chase said.
"Where's everyone else at," Tracker asked.
"Oh Track its horrible, a group of raiders attacked us yesterday and, I, I am the only one l-left," Chase cried.
"Oh, no, I'm so sorry, is there anything I can do amigo," Tracker said.
"No, unless you know how to make a nether portal," Chase said.
"Oy, a nether portal you say, I could get that for you."
"You have parts for a nether portal," Chase said with a glimmer of hope.
"Not now, but I know where to get it, and It's not that far from here actually," Tracker said.
"Oh thank you, thank you, what do I owe you for this," Chase said with tears of joy.
"You need not pay me anything, you friends are my friends, and like you I will do anything to bring them back." Tracker said while giving Chase a big hug.
"Thank you so much Track, you such a good friend buddy," Chase said returning the hug.
"Be back a tomorrow morning with that portal of yours."
"Thank you again." Chase said.
"Bye Chase see you again soon, yehaw get along there Nelly come on," Tracker said as he raced away to get the nether portal.
"May God all mighty grant you speed me amigo," Chase said as Tracker rode off into the sunset.
Chase decided to finish the day of by doing the dirty job of extracting blood from his friends to make the resurrection potions. Chase went to bed that night with hope that he would see his friends again soon.
Well that was lucky that Tracker showed up and that he knows how to get a nether portal, will Chase and Tracker succeed in getting to the nether and find their friends, find out next week on PAW Patrol: Project Resurrection.
