[CHAPTER ONE]

At the outskirts of Pentagram City, the Capital of the Pride Ring and Hell itself
a golden portal materialized in front of a building before disappearing in a flash.

a lone figure with grey skin, and flowing snow white hair, Cyan and Blue eyes
and three pairs of angelic wings sprouting from her back stood before the building.

Inhaling deeply, she approached the main doors and gently knocked.

After a few minutes...someone finally answered.

"Hello, Welcome to the Hazbi-" the greeter at the door suddenly froze upon seeing who it was.

"Hello!...You must be Vaggie." spoke the figure, a wide smile on her face.

"I'm Emily. We didn't get more acquainted when we last met in-"

"I know who you are..." spoke Vaggie, darkly. "What are you doing here?"

Emily put on a more serious face.

"Forgive me for coming unannounced...But, I'd like to see Charlie, please."

"Why?..." spoke Vaggie, suspicious.

"Because I meant what I said before: I want to help her." said Emily.

"I think this...Hotel CAN work. Charlie just needs more people supporting her."

Vaggie's expression softened...but still remained on guard. "This better not be some trick."

"It isn't. In fact, I'm...not even suppose to be here." said Emily, now blushing.

Vaggie widened her eye. "You snuck out!?"

Emily's face turned blue as she blushed harder.

"ye-yeah...I could get into a lot of trouble for being here."

Vaggie's jaw nearly dropped at hearing this.

"Am I...welcome?" asked Emily, an innocent look on her face.

Vaggie exhaled sharply. "fine...you an come in."

Vaggie stepped aside, Allowing the Seraphim Angel to enter the Hotel.
Upon entering, Emily's mouth made a perfect 'O' shape as she gazed at the interior of the Lobby.

"Wow...This is Remarkable! Even the Grand Hotels in Heaven look nothing like this!"

Vaggie scoffed, and chortled. "yeah, big shock there."

Emily walked with Vaggie to the center of the lobby,
and noticed some individuals present that she vaguely recognized.

"Hey, everyone...we got a VIP Guest." spoke Vaggie.

Everyone looked...and froze in stunned silence.

"WHOA! Is that...AN ANGEL!?" exclaimed a figure covered in White Fur.

"Yes, Angel...But she isn't an Exorcist." explained Vaggie.

Emily waved and smiled. "Hi!, You must be Angel Dust..."

Emily then rushed over, and shook the Spider Demon's hands.

"I saw how you defended your friends in that club. I am so proud of you."

Angel Dust looked confused. "huh?"

"Oh, Pardon me...Allow me to introduce myself." said Emily, blushing again.

"My name is Emily, and I am a Seraphim Angel from Heaven.
I'm here to help Charlie with her Hotel so to stop the senseless killings of human souls."

Angel Dust eyed Emily. "Fer' REAL?"

Emily nodded, smiling much like Charlie would.

"make yourself at home then..." spoke a deep voiced winged cat at a Bar.

Vaggie approached Emily, and continued speaking.

"That's Husk. He minds the Bar, and is a good listener.
You already met Angel Dust, so that just leaves-"

With a zip, a tiny little Cyclops demon in a 1950s dress suddenly clung onto Emily.

"HI!, I'm NIFFTY. I like your dress!"

Emily smiled nervously. "I like yours, too!"

Once Niffty jumped off, Vaggie approached Emily again.

"That's Niffty, Our Housekeeper. I'm...69% Sure she's harmless."

"She seems nice."

Vaggie glanced at Niffty, watching as she sadistically stabbed at some skittering bugs with a needle.

"...sometimes."

Emily took a moment to look around. "Sooo...Where's Charlie!?, I really wanted to see her again."

"She's resting in her room." answered Vaggie. "So you'll have to wai-"

"EMILY!?"

Emily and Vaggie both looked, and saw Charlie rushing down the stairs.

Charlie then ran up, and embraced Emily tightly.

"I can't believe you're here!, WELCOME!" exclaimed Charlie, happily.

Emily blushed upon feeling a 'protrusion" from Charlie. "Ch-Ch-Charlie...Y-You're-"

Charlie parted from Emily, and blushed. "oh...right. It HAS been awhile since we last saw each other."

Charlie then patted at her round belly, blushing redder than a tomato.

"CHARLIE!" snapped Vaggie. "TU CABEZA HUECA!, Be more CAREFUL when going down the stairs!"

Charlie blushed awkwardly. "SS-Sorry, hon...I wasn't thinking."

Emily approached, her eyes wide and focused on Charlie's protruding waist.
The angel then placed her hand upon it...and gasped as she sensed a 'tiny soul' within the Demon Princess.

"you...you're pregnant." spoke Emily, stunned. "h-HOW!?"

Angel Dust smirked "They FUCKED. How do'ya think it happened?!"

Charlie blushed again. "Come sit with us, Em. There are things you need to know."

[Some Time Later...]

Emily was sipping some tea at a fire place...listening to Charlie and Vaggie
as they told her a condensed story regarding how and why Charlie was pregnant.

"Sooo...let me see if I got this all straight." began Emily, finally.

"Several months ago...a LIVING human literally fell into Hell.
And this human turned out to be the mythical Ghost Rider of legend!?"

Charlie nodded. "Yes. Damien...or, DANIEL (as he was originally named)
is the latest in quite a long line of humans that served as hosts for the Fallen Angel, Zarathos."

Emily couldn't suppress her smile. "I've heard stories about him. Zarathos.
He was a legend among Heaven's Hallowed Halls, a Paragon of Justice tasked with protecting Mankind.

Apart from Sera, I looked up to Zarathos and aspired to be what he was.
But...they said he fell in battle AGES ago. You said that he is FALLEN?, like Lucifer!?"

"Not QUITE like Lucifer...but, yeah. He is "one of us." said Vaggie.

"What happened to him?" asked Emily, genuinely interested.

Charlie frowned. "from what we were told by both of them, Zarathos was taken captive by a Hell Lord named Mephisto.
They said that Mephisto...TORTURED Zarathos, forcing him to bear witness to the worst of humanity's sins."

"It all eventually drove him mad, Corrupting him into a Vengeful Spirit." continued Vaggie.
"Mephisto then bound him to the souls of humans that he made deals with...and, that's how the Ghost Riders were created."

Emily's eyes were wide as dinner plates as she processed this. "heavenly father...that's AWFUL."

Charlie nodded sadly. "Damien's personal story is...just as terrible.
Before his curse, he was a decent human being who was even engaged to a saintly woman.

But when she fell ill...Mephisto convinced him to sell his soul in order to save her.
Which he selflessly agreed to...only for her to die in a random car accident on their wedding day.

and, do you know the WORST thing?: she was...Pregnant, at the time."

Emily covered her mouth, shocked at this.

Charlie then rubbed her round, watermelon-sized belly once more.

"that is...PART of why I am...you know." continued Charlie. "I wanted to give back what was taken from him so unfairly.
It wasn't easy...getting him to open up, and trust me. but...Here I am: About to be a mother of a half-human child."

"Technically, you are ALSO half human, Hon." spoke Vaggie.

"Meaning "Charlie, Jr." will be mostly human with hellish powers."

Charlie smiled as she rubbed her belly more. "doesn't matter...I'll love them no matter what they are."

Emily smiled, and then hugged Charlie. "I'm so happy for you."

Charlie smiled and hugged her angel friend back. "than you, Emmie."

Emily then pulled away. "but...what about Damien's soul?, does this Mephisto still have it?!"

"Sadly, yes. meaning if Damien dies for any reason...It won't be THIS Hell he goes to." said Vaggie.

"But, why should he go to Hell AT ALL!" exclaimed Emily.

"I have heard of the Ghost Riders, and how they have defended and protected mankind from evil.
SURELY this Damien has earned his place in Heaven from all the innocent souls that he has protected!"

"Heaven doesn't see it that way, I'm afraid..." brooded Vaggie.

"He told us how he once made a deal with an Archangel to hunt down one of their own that went rogue.
But even when he did as they asked, and captured the rogue angel...Heaven went back on their word."

Emily looked dumbfounded at this. "But...WHY!?"

Charlie tensed up. Her normally golden eyes glowing bright red, and long, red horns spearing upright from her brow.

...the sudden change in appearance almost frightened Emily.

"because..." spoke Charlie, her tone darker. "he sold his soul...which in their eyes was "unforgivable"

They didn't care WHY he made his deal...only that he did it in the first place,
which they felt was a 'JUSTIFIED' reason to bar him from ever entering Heaven."

Charlie's reverted back to a more normal appearance as she frowned sadly.

"when we...sleep together. I sometimes awake to the sound of him crying in his sleep.
He calls out the name of his first love, begging for her to forgive him for his...Sin."

Charlie exhaled as she wiped away small tears forming in her eyes.

"I wish...I wish I could take all his pain away." continued Charlie.

"but all I have done so far is distract him from his pain.
The happiest I ever saw him was when I first told him we were having a baby."

"heh, yeah...I remember that day." spoke Vaggie, smiling.
"He acted so differently, that I almost didn't recognize him."

Emily was silent as she pondered all she had been told.

...Then, an Idea formed in her head.

An idea that she quickly stored away upon sensing a powerful presence enter the lobby.

She looked, and gasped upon seeing a tall, slender figure in a red suit
with gleaming red eyes and a wide, shark-like smile walk by, humming an upbeat tune.

"umm...who is th-that?" asked Emily, her voice quiet.

Vaggie rolled her eye. "That's Alastor, the Radio Demon. He's an Overlord from years ago that showed up one day.
He CLAIMS to want to help us for his own entertainment, but I really don't trust him."

Emily grimaced as she stared at Alastor (averting her gaze when he glanced over to her.)

"I've never felt such raw power before...he scares me."

Charlie grasped Emily's hand. "don't worry...He won't hurt us, I promise."

Emily looked unsure...but forced herself to smile. "okay...I trust you."

Charlie breathed out as she lifted herself up (which wasn't easy now due to her "extra weight")

"ALASTOR!, WAIT!" called Charlie.

Alastor stopped and grinned as he turned to face Charlie.

"YES, CHARLOTTE DEAR?" spoke Alastor (his voice somehow filtered as if speaking through a radio.)

"have you seen Damien anywhere?" asked Charlie. "He wasn't in bed this morning when I woke up."

"OH, YES...HE HAD TO LEAVE ON AN IMPORTANT ERRAND." answered Alastor.

"Did he say what it was!?" exclaimed Charlie, agitated.

"I AM AFRAID NOT, MY DEAR. BUT WHATEVER IT WAS, IT APPEARED TO BE URGENT.
AS HE LEFT IN QUITE A RUSH, AND DIDN'T EVEN STOP TO ENJOY A GOOD BREAKFAST."

Charlie grimaced, her hands shaking as she reached for her Hellphone.
she nervously searched her contacts, and found Damien's name (with a Heart icon in place of the "a")

"come on...pick up, pick up." muttered Charlie, as she listened to the dial tone.

Vaggie and Emily approached, both sensing Charlie's anxiety.

"FUCK!" cursed Charlie, as the call timed out.

"Charlie, CALM DOWN!" spoke Vaggie. "Stress isn't good for the baby."

Charlie exhaled as she straightened out her hair in frustration.

"I know, I KNOW!...but he's out there all alone, and I don't know if he's-"

Charlie paused, unable to finish her sentence.

"what if...What if he's hurt, and needs help! I know he's strong, but he ISN'T Invincible!

and worse...if someone manages to kill him. His soul won't go to Heaven, OR Hell!
He'll go straight to Mephisto, where he'll be...t-tortured...forever."

Charlie inhaled deep, looking like she was about to have a panic attack.

"HEY, EASY...Just Relax!" spoke Emily, grasping Charlie's shoulders.

"How about I go out, and look for him for you. I promise to bring him back saf-"

Just then, the main doors of the Hotel opened and in walked someone.

Emily looked, and saw what looked like a human with blue eyes,
auburn hair and wearing an armless black leather jacket and blue jeans.

She figured this HAD to be Damien Ryder...The Ghost Rider.

"Hey, everyone..." spoke Damien, calmly. "I'm back-OOF!"

Damien was suddenly tackled by Charlie...who embraced him in a tight hug.

"thank satan, you're back home!" spoke Charlie (earning a 'cringe' from Emily.)

"CHAR-Liee...I wasn't gone for THAT long!"

Charlie stepped back and looked at the human. "Where WERE you!?,
you weren't there when I woke up today...(shouting) AND I WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER YOUR PHONE!?"

"Sorry, I forget to charge the damned thing last night." explained Damien. "Had to do it at Ozzie's place."

"wait...OZZIE!? As is Asmodeus, the King of the Lust!?" exclaimed Vaggie.

"Well, I certainly wasn't staying with Ozzie Osborne." said Damien, smirking.

"Would you believe that it's only in the LUST Ring where they sell Baby Products, like Diapers and crap?!"

Vaggie took a moment to ponder Damien's query.

"Considering Lust ALSO sells home pregnancy test there...yeah, it kinda makes sense."

Charlie looked at Damien. "Sooo, you were-"

Damien reached for a fancy looking bag covered in glitter,
and pulled out a unopened package of Diapers, and baby wipes.

"Ozzie assured me that: "This is the Good Shit." or so he says..."

Charlie smiled...she then put her arms around Damien's neck.

"have I ever told you what a wonderful, and considerate man you are?"

"Depends on how Busy you are right now." said Damien, with a grin.

Charlie smiled once more, before leaning in and kissing her human lover DEEPLY.
Emily blushed bright red at this public display of affection, while Vaggie just smirked.

"CAREFUL Now, Charlie...Remember, you're carrying "precious cargo." half-joked Vaggie.

Charlie broke her kiss and cast Vaggie a glance. "I remember, Vags."

Damien looked at Charlie. "speaking of, How are you feeling today?"

Charlie shrugged. "Besides the usual morning sickness, I've been doing okay today."

Damien glanced over to Niffty, who was wearing a facemask and carrying a blowtorch.

"and...the baby?" asked Damien, his tone shakey.

Charlie placed her hand upon her round belly, rubbing it.

"I did feel a few kicks...so, I think the baby is okay." spoke Charlie.

"Still don't want to know the baby's gender?" asked Damien.

"You CAN say "Sex!" exclaimed Angel Dust, from the Bar.

a glare from Damien made the Spider Demon mind his own business.

"I want it to be a surprise." answered Charlie. "Besides...It doesn't matter to me if our baby is a Girl, or a Boy."

Damien shrugged. "yeah...me neither. I'll be happy with either."

It was then that Damien noticed a new face staring at them both. "Who's this?"

"Oh, this is-"

The Seraphim Angel zipped over, hovering over the human with her six wings.

"Hi!, I'm Emily. Nice to finally meet you, Damien...Daniel."

Damien stared at the wide, blue eyes of the Angel hovering before him.

"you look...familiar." mused Damien.

"She was our host when we visited Heaven that one time, Remember?" spoke Charlie.

"oh...right. You were the peppy one that sang that one song." spoke Damien.

Emily smiled as she lowered back down to the ground.

"Sorry we couldn't get to know each other better...A lot happened that day." began Emily.

"I don't approve of what my sister said in the courthouse, and I am here to help Charlie.
I also believe that Sinners Can, and SHOULD be given a second chance to earn their place in Heaven."

Damien crossed his arms, and raised an eyebrow.

"She says she wants to help us out..." explained Vaggie.

"I think we should accept her help, Damien!" said Charlie, happily.

"It really would be beneficial to have an Ally in Heaven supporting us."

Damien didn't look too convinced...but then his hellphone began to ring.

Reaching for it, he looked at the screen. noting an Avatar that resembled a Trumpet
with a name that just said 'Gabe' on it, and a censored number.

Damien then pressed the talk button. "Hello, Gabe...Figured I'd hear from you."

Everyone remained silent as Damien had his private conversation.

"...Yeah, she's here in the Hotel. I take you had something to-...OH. REALLY?, she IS!?"

Damien took a glance at Emily, before turning back to his phone.

"I guess I do kinda see the resemblance...Okay, Gabe. I'll make sure nothing happens to her.
I owe you THAT much...yeah. Any day now...Thank You. Well, I'll let you go...Tell Mike to go fuck himself."

With that, Damien hung up the phone and approached the three girls.

"Is everything okay, Damien?" asked Charlie.

Damien gave his best smile. "yeah...Everything is fine, baby." Damien then kissed Charlie on her rosy cheek.

Damien then looked to Emily...and extended out his hand. "Welcome to the Team, Emmie."

Emily made the bigger smile ever as she flat out hugged Damien. "THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU!"

Charlie and Vaggie giggled, while Damien just blushed as he pried the Angel Girl off of him.

"Let's start by introducing you to the Hotel's Guests..." spoke Damien

[CHAPTER TWO]

Emily fluttered above ground as she followed Damien Ryder down the long halls of the hotel.

"I suppose you've already met Angel Dust, the Hotel's first guest." spoke Damien.

"yoooou...COULD say that. " giggled Emily.

"Allow me to apologize in advance for his 'crude' behavior." continued Damien.

"Charlie actually sought HIM out when she started this whole thing,
and actually had to pay him just to stay. Needless to say, it was a rough start for her."

"but, NOW?..." inquired Emily.

Damien stopped and inhaled deeply.

"Credit where credit is due: He has made SOME progress: He's finally started taking this place seriously.
But, there is still plenty of room for improvement. And we have OTHER guest now that he could learn from."

With that, Damien knocked on a door. After half a minute, the door opened.
and Emily gazed at a female demon with snow white hair, pink skin and broken, filed off horn stubs.

"Daniel..." the she-demon hugged the human. "So good to see you, sweetie! How is Charlie?"

"Charlie's fine, mom...I'm showing a new staffer around." spoke Damien, who then turned to Emily.

"Emily...this is my Mother: Madeline Mayberry. She's a "sinner" who was a school teacher when she was human.
She was practically a Saint her whole life, until one slip up landed her here."

Mayberry blushed. "I wasn't THAT good of a person, but...I did try."

Emily fluttered over to Mayberry.

"Pleasure to meet you, Miss Mayberry. I am Emily, a Seraphim Angel from Heaven."

"Really?! an actual, real Angel!?" spoke Mayberry, stunned.

"Yes. I believe in what Charlie is doing, and I am here to help."

Mayberry smiled as she took Emily's hands. "bless you for being so open-minded."

Emily giggled. "I'M" the one who should be giving Blessings!"

Mayberry chuckled. "I like you...You remind me of Charlie. Hell, you could even pass off as her sister!"

This statement made Emily blush bright blue.

"funny you should say that...I-, I think me and Charlie 'ARE' related."

This piqued both Mayberry, AND Damien's interest. "Oh?"

Emily brushed some strands of silky hair from her face.

"My father...He is an Archangel, one of the original Seven. Formerly EIGHT.
Lucifer Morningstar was his brother, which...I guess make Charlie and me Cousins."

"I thought there was something familiar about you." spoke Damien.

Mayberry smiled as she looked at Emily.

"This is Wonderful! It's like you're part of the family!"

"Not quite, Mom. I mean...Me and Charlie aren't even married."

Mayberry smirked at her son. "not yeeeet..."

As Damien blushed, he forced out a cough.

"Ss-so, Umm...You heard from Dad recently?" spoke Damien, trying to change the subject.

Mayberry frowned. "no...not today. But I did receive a letter from him a few days ago."

"And, what did it say?" asked Damien.

"Damon is apparently in the Greed Ring, observing Mammon's activities." answered Mayberry.

"Not gonna lie, Daniel...I'm worried about your father. He seems obsessed with the demonic clown spider."

"I am in no place to judge, considering I spent most of my time
since I first arrived here hunting a sexually aggressive moth demon." said Damien.

Emily looked confused as she listened to this conversation. "what are you two-"

"I'll explain in due time." spoke Damien, quickly. "It's...Personal Matters."

"oh, okay." nodded Emily.

"AHEM...We should probably go now." spoke Damien, again.

"I still have one other person to introduce Emily to."

"oh...Okay. then, I won't keep you." said Mayberry.

"Nice to meet you, Emily. Stop by for a chat anytime."

"I'll be sure to visit you often, Miss Mayberry." said Emily, with a smile.

"Oh, just call me "Maddie." said Mayberry.

"Okay...Maddie." said Emily.

The two shared one last smile, before Mayberry closed the door.

Emily looked back to Damien, and gave him one of her cheerful smiles.

"Your mother has a GOOD Soul. I really like her."

"Coming from you, that would mean a great deal to her." spoke Damien, as he resumed walking.

"Is it okay if I ask what was the one 'bad thing' that she did to end up here?" asked Emily.

"I mean...I don't understand why such a sweet woman isn't already in Heaven."

Damien frowned. "My mother's story...is complicated.

"I am sorry, I don't mean to overstep my boundaries." said Emily.

"no-no, it's fine...I suppose you deserve to know." spoke Damien, who then breathed out deeply.

"My mother was only Eighteen when I was born. She was headed to college, and couldn't take care of me.
So she left me in the care of my biological father, promising to return to us one day..."

Damien frowned. "we never saw her again...On Earth, anyway."

"oh, dear..." said Emily, frowning.

"Mom DID look for us...but, at some point she just gave up looking and moved on." continued Damien.

"Her life came to an end when while teaching a class of children,
she learned that her husband at the time was cheating on her with another woman.

She...flew into a rage, Killing him..and then herself when she realized her students witnessed the whole thing.

I personally don't blame her for feeling the way she did. It's a natural, human thing.
But I don't think she deserved Eternal Damnation for...THAT. When she lived a somewhat sinless life beforehand."

Emily paused as she pondered what she was told.

"I will admit...Your mother PROBABLY could've handled that better." spoke Emily.

"But I do agree with you: Feeling Anger (justified, or not) doesn't make someone Evil.
And I can tell she loved you...and STILL does. Such love is worthy of Heaven."

Damien smiled. "Good to see there are SOME Angels that have a human heart."

"you...say that like someone who has had a bad experience with angels." inquired Emily.

"In my line of work, I have dealt with several angelic beings in the past." spoke Damien.

"...and there are few that I actually like."

"Was...one of 'the few', the person you were speaking to on your phone?" asked Emily.

"You ARE observant..." chuckled Damien.

"well...Yes. I was speaking to an Angel back then: Gabriel, actually.
Out of all the "Magnificent Seven", Gabe is the only one I've met who I can tolerate."

Damien then paused. "Okay, I've only met HIM and Michael (who is a total prick, by-the-way.)
Even Lucifer himself only has nice things to say about Gabriel when the topic DOES come up with him."

Emily stared off, looking a tad nervous.

Damien took notice...and grinned. "You take after him, you know."

Emily's face turned blue as she looked at Damien. "He told you?"

"Even if he didn't, I could see the resemblance just by looking at you." said Damien.

Emily looked down, feeling very awkward. "my dad always was...Different, from the others."

"He and Lucifer were close...Small Wonder that you and Charlie get along so well." chuckled Damien.

Emily let out a light chuckle, noting the irony of the situation.

"Umm..."

"Hmm?, Something else you want to ask?"

"a little, yes." spoke Emily.

"You mother mentions that your father was in the Greed Ring. How is that possible?
I thought only Hellborns could traverse the rings of hell, and that Sinners couldn't leave THIS ring."

Damien bore a dark, and troubled expression. "My father isn't your typical Sinner, Emily.

Hell, he didn't even come to THIS Hell when he died...he went to a different one."

Emily's blue eyes widened in surprise. "a...Different Hell? I thought there was only one."

"no...There are Multiple Hells, AND Heavens that exist in the After Realms." explained Damien.

"Every Religion that exists bears seeds of truth, and EACH has their own Heaven and Hell.
Not all are like the one you know, though. Some are similar...while others are radically different."

Emily looked at Damien. "okay...so, what did your father do to end up in 'A' Hell."

Damien exhaled sharply. "Dad was a cop. a Texas Ranger, to be more precise." began Damien.

"He killed many people in his lifetime...and the fact they were all bad people
apparently mattered very little to whoever decides where a human soul goes when they die.

My dad was a hero...he even died saving my life, and yet he ended up in a Hell
ruled over by a vile demon who goes by the name: Malebolgia."

Emily cringed a little.

While she didn't recognize the name, just hearing it made her skin crawl.

"anyway...the Hell Lord made my father a deal, rather than cast him into the fire pit." continued Damien.

"He would send him back to Earth to see me again, and all he had to do was serve him as a "Hellspawn" Soldier.
a Remnant bonded to a shapeshifting, self-healing symbiotic entity of Pure Necroplasm.

But...like most Devils, Malbolgia's deal was a half-truth lie.
Oh, he sent my father back to Earth alright...only it was YEARS after his death,

and to make matters even worse, shattered my father's mind so severely
that he couldn't even remember his own name, much less that he had a son...or the deal he made."

Emity covered her mouth in shock. "good heavens...that's awful."

"You have no idea how awful." mused Damien.

"My father...is in a constant state of agony that only his Necroplasm can sate.

He can only gain more by feeding on the living like some Vampire, or Zombie.
and IF he ever depletes his reserves, Malbolgia will drag him straight to his hell and claim his soul.

At least with ME, I can have some semblance of a normal life Despite being the living Avatar for a Fallen Angel.

But dad...(Damien shakes his head) I wouldn't wish his fate on my worst enemy."

Emily took a moment to ponder on the state of Damien, and his own family.

a Mother who was a Saint, yet condemned to Hell because of ONE mistake.
a Father who was enduring true Hell, and living on borrowed time that was ticking away.

And, then there was Damien Himself: He had done so much good for other people,
yet Heaven had all but turned their backs on him because of just 'ONE' mistake.

Emily seemed to understand why Charlie fretted over him so much.

But, most of all...WHY the wo of them loved each other like they do.
Charlie was a Princess of Hell, and yet was the only one to grant Damien any peace in his life.

Charlie truly was an Angel...Moreso then ANY currently residing in Heaven.

"I am...sorry. Truly." spoke Emily, finally.

Damien looked at Emily. "you have nothing to be sorry about."

"Yes, but I feel all of Heaven owes you-"

"I appreciate it...greatly." spoke Damien, in a pleasant tone.

"But, you don't need to carry the weight of all their sins on your shoulders.
As I recall, 'SOMEONE ELSE' already did that for all of mankind a long time ago."

Emily chuckled at the in-joke. "still...I am sorry. I wish I knew what to do to make it all right."

Damien chuckled. "Wow, you really are "Charlie's Twin." AHEM...Anyway, we're here."

Damien brought Emily over to a door, and watched as he knocked upon the door lightly.

"Pent?...SIR Pentious, are you in there!?" called Damien.

The door soon opened...but rather than a King Cobra Demon greeting them,
Damien and Emily were instead looking down at what resembled a cartoonish Egg character.

"Hey, Boss!" spoke the Egg Boi.

"crap, which one are you again?" spoke Damien.

"Frank." answered the Living Egg.

"okay...FRANK. Where is Pentious?"

"Oh, he was working late on defenses for the Hotel...But he FELL ASLEEP!
So, me and the other Boys put his things away and tucked him in."

Sure enough, a loud snore was heard from somewhere in the room.

"right...Well when he wakes up, Tell him we have new hotel staff for him to meet." said Damien.

"YOU GOT IT, BOSS!" exclaimed Frank, giving a salute before shutting the door.

Emily looked up at Damien, confused. "Ummm..."

"Before he came here, Sir Pentious was a 'Wannabe/Try-Too-Hard' Supervillain.
And, when he became a guest, we got his Army of Minions as a package deal." explained Damien.

"At first, Vaggie wanted them all gone...for SOME REASON.
But even I saw the merit in having a free work force on hand."

Damien scowled. "too bad most of them are about as sharp as a butter knife."

Emily smiled. "they seem nice...I like 'em."

"That's good. Because chances are, you may need to work with them to get shi-Stuff done."

Damien then yawned loudly. "Well, that should do it for the tour...I-"

Damien then froze as a pair of cartoonish looking sheep suddenly appeared, and hovered around Emily with tiny angel wings.

"shoot, I must be more tired than I thought: I'm already seeing sheep!" spoke Damien.

"Oh, SORRY. These are my guardians: Shimmer and Glimmer." explained Emily.

"They were my stuffed toys that Dad brought to life for me one day."

The two Sheep Angel waved their stubby hands at Damien.

"Hm. So you have one of those, too." mused Damien.

"Too?" spoke Emily, puzzled.

"oh, so you haven't mey Razzle & Dazzle yet...Well, I won't spoil the surprise."

Damien yawned again. "So, you have any other questions before I take off?"

Emily looked at her Sheep Guardians...and then back to Damien. "I do have one, but...It may be too personal."

"I think we've already crossed that bridge, so go ahead and ask." said Damien.

Emily paused...and then spoke calmly: "Is...Zarathos conscious within you?"

Damien's expression changed. "ah...so you know about that."

"Charlie told me." said Emily. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to pry...I'm just curious."

Damien shrugged. "He is...Aware of EVERYTHING. He sees what I see, and feels what I feel.
He's in my head...even talks to me sometimes (though, he used to never shut up.)"

"Are you and him...Friends?" asked Emily.

"We tolerate each other." answered Damien. "In some ways, we're like college roommates.
Only instead of sharing a room, we share a body. sooo..."Bodymates", I guess."

"Is Zarathos really as powerful as they say?" asked Emily. "My sister, Sera said-"

Suddenly, a pillar of blue "Holyfire" flared up from Damien. Enveloping him.
Emily shieled her eyes from the brightness...and then gazed in shock once the fire faded.

Damien had disappeared...and, in his place was a tall, slender figure dressed in a duster coat,
with cherry red skin, black soulless eyes that burned bright blue,

'Hair' that was blue fire that flared from a skull-like face.
And, three pairs of skeletal wings flaring with Holyfire that gave the illusion of feathers.

(("Do...NOT. speak her name.")) spoke Zarathos, his voice distorted.

Emily froze, terrified at the raw power she was sensing from the fallen angel.
Zarathos leered over the much smaller angel...before grinning, and dismissing his fiery wings.

(("Sorry about that...Emma, is it?")) spoke Zarathos, his tone much calmer.

"It's...eh-emily." stuttered Emily.

(("right-right, sorry...EMILY. My apologies for scaring you."))

Emily breathed, calming herself down once it appeared Zarathos wasn't hostile.

"d-did you...KNOW her?" asked Emily, her voice shakey

Zarathos looked down at Emily with half lidded eyes. (("I did ONCE."))

"You sound...Angry. did...Did something happen?" continued Emily.

Zarathos chortled. (("Why ask questions that you already know the answer to."))

Emily took a moment to think about what Zarathos meant...and then it Clicked.

"she...Abandoned you?"

(("They ALL did.")) growled the skeletal entity. (("...but HER betrayal is what really broke me."))

"oh." said Emily, looking down sadly.

Zarathos smirked as he bent down to the much shorter angel.

(("Word of advice, from one Angel to Another: "DON'T. Trust. Sera."))

Emily looked up to Zarathos, her blue eyes wide. "but-But, she is my Sister."

(("Yes, and Lucifer was your father's brother...But THAT didn't save him, now did it?"))

This statement made Emily feel a little uncomfortable.

Did Zarathos speak the truth?, COULD Sera (her beloved sister in Heaven),
REALLY turn her back on her like she had apparently already done with Zarathos?

The more she thought about it...the more she dreaded that were the case.

"could she really?...I mean. We've been through SO MUCH together." spoke Emily, thinking aloud.

Zarathos let out a deep sigh as he stood back up.

(("I know it isn't easy to hear, sweetie. but sometimes...the Truth CAN be painful.
But, I cannot spare your feelings with a harmless lie...NOT about something like this."))

Zarathos looked down at Emily once more.

(("Mark my words: As much as your...SISTER, claims to love you. She will ALWAYS place her duties over all else.
and WILL NOT hesitate to throw you under a moving bus if you allow yourself to become a Liability."))

Emily looked up at Zarathos again. She wanted to say something...but she couldn't form any words.

At that moment, Zarathos' body was engulfed in yellow/orange hellfire,
and the Fallen Angel disappeared, with his human host returning in his place.

Damien nearly collapsed (with Emily catching him before he fell.)

"I hate when he does that..." grumbled Damien, feeling lightheaded.

"Are you okay?" asked Emily, concerned for the human man.

"ye-yeah...I'll be okay." spoke Damien, as he supported himself up. "I just...need to rest."

"Do you need me to help you?" asked Emily, wanting to be helpful.

"n-no thank you.." spoke Damien, again. "I'll...m-manage."

Emily stood by, and watched silently as Damien staggered away down the hall.

Her blue saucer eyes grew soft, her angelic heart aching over the human's private pain.
She wished she knew what to do to help him...BUT, she figured Charlie was already taking care of that.

The Angel the sprouted her tri-wings and fluttered upwards.

There was MUCH she had to do for this Hotel, and figured she had better get started.

[Author Notes]

In order to get my old Helluverse Vibe back
(AND, to satisfy fans of my 'Spirit of Vengeance' crossover
who asked if I would implement Hazbin Hotel's "new canon")

I decided to write this practice piece that may or may not
be "canon" to my main story, as it is a bit of a time skip.

The idea behind this is to introduce new readers
to the concepts of my mainline story,

As well as give long time fans a more meaty bone
to knaw on while I work on updating "HH:SoV"

The subject matter being Emily (everyone's new favorite character)
Helping out Charlie as the Hotel's personal "guardian angel."

As well as the fact that Charlie is pregnant
(and, in an open relation with Vaggie and my Ghost Rider OC)

With that, I wanted to explore the idea of Charlie as a mom,
as I feel she'd LOVE babies (especially her own baby) and would be a great mother.

As well as explore the concept of Charlie's child
being "Half-Ghost Rider", and what that might lead to.

This story has much LONGER chapters,
though despite this, This Chapter is mostly to give exposition.

I hope this will be to some readers liking.
