[Chapter Three]
It was midday, and Charlie was scribbling some notes on a clipboard
while sitting on a cushioned chair in front of the Hotel's fireplace.
She stopped to let out a yawn, and then reached for a cup of tea...
...only to drop it to the floor when she felt a tiny kick within her body.
Charlie gasped, clutching her protruding belly as her tea cup shattered.
Immediately her Goatish Imp companions, Razzle & Dazzle, flew over and cleaned the mess.
Charlie breathed out, rubbing her belly tenderly.
She then reached for her clipboard again, and lifted up some pages.
Charlie then drew out a large printed photo that looked like an Ultrasound.
It was dated last week, and had her name printed on the corner of it.
Charlie then took a moment to stare at the vague image of a tiny infant curled into a ball.
It resembled a human baby...only with visible 'stubs' upon it's head.
Charlie then reached over, and gently touched the picture.
She then drew her hand away, and placed her palm at her belly.
"EEP!" Charlie flinched, as she felt another internal kick.
"hells, you're a feisty one..." muttered Charlie.
"I can tell you'll be a handful once you're...born."
Charlie covered her mouth, trying her best to contain her emotions.
Even NOW, she had to remind herself that new life was growing within her.
And that SHE, the Princess of Hell, was about to become someone's mother.
And while she was overjoyed at the prospect of raising a child...the timing couldn't be worse.
Adam's acceleration the date of the next Extermination came so suddenly, and without warning.
Charlie was already showing signs of her pregnancy when she first met with Adam initially,
and with 'E-Day' only weeks away now, Charlie was terrified over her unborn child's safety.
(As horrid as it was to think about...Charlie wouldn't put it past Adam
to attempt to kill her baby JUST to get back at her. HOW that 'man' was still in Heaven was beyond her.)
"please...PLEASE be born soon." whispered Charlie, rubbing her belly.
"maybe...Maybe I can hide you someplace safe once this all blows over."
"Charlie?"
Charlie looked, and saw Vaggie approaching her. "you okay, hon?"
Charlie let out a deep sigh, grasping her forehead. "I don't know. So Much is going on all at once."
Vaggie frowned, and then knelt down to Charlie.
"you should take a break, and rest. All that stress isn't good for the baby."
"How can I when I have so much on my mind!" exclaimed Charlie.
"Adam will be here with his Exorcist Army in a matter of WEEKS,
And even if we DO somehow survive, Damien's soul is held captive by-"
"You let ME worry about Adam." said Vaggie. "as...you NOW know, I have experience dealing with him."
Charlie let out a sharp sigh. "yeah...I guess you do."
Vaggie looked down, still feeling guilty over the 'secret' that she kept from Charlie.
"but...Damien. HOW am I ever going to free him from Mephisto?!" continued Charlie.
"I just...CAN'T STAND knowing that he is still that monster's slave.
And when his time eventually comes, I will lose him to Mephisto...FOREVER."
Charlie then covered her mouth, looking like she was close to a panic attack.
"Char-?"
"I've been having these nightmares, Vaggie." spoke Charlie, finally.
"horrible, HORRIBLE Nightmares...about Damien."
Vaggie held Charlie's hands, and looked at her. "tell me, hun. maybe it'll help you feel better."
Charlie doubted she would feel better, but decided to humor her girlfriend regardless.
"In my dream...I am in Hell. But not *MY* Hell...it's HIS." began Charlie.
"It is a Horrible place. People burning alive, Screaming, but never dying.
Demons that literally eat each other...and are nothing like Rosie, and her people."
Vaggie cringed a little at this.
Charlie's description of Mephisto's Hell sounded ALOT like how her old angelic superiors made Lucifer's Hell out to be.
...and yet, the Hell she had come to call home seemed like a Paradise compared to Mephisto's.
"I...I then see Damien." spoke Charlie. "or, I guess I should say: DANIEL.
he is...D-DEAD. He is in chains, His clothing is tattered, and his body is burning. and...(*sobbing*) COVERED IN BLOOD!"
Charlie cried for a brief moment, so Vaggie hugged her.
"shhh...there-there, charlie." cooed Vaggie.
"I can STILL hear him screaming. and that b-Bastard, Mephisto...LAUGHING." continued Charlie, still crying.
"I want so badly to save Daniel, but there is nothing I can do.
I watch him die before eyes...only to come to life, and endure the torment all over again."
Vaggie frowned as she looked at Charlie. Unsure what to say to cheer her up.
"what'll I do Vaggie?...what CAN I do?!" spoke Charlie, trying to calm herself down.
"Dan-, Damien...is living on borrowed time. He is Mortal, and WILL die one day.
and when he does...my Nightmare will become a Reality, and I will lose him.
I feel like I should be doing SOMETHING to stop this! I just wish I knew what it was!"
Charlie's golden eyes briefly turned red as she screamed her last words.
Anyone who was nearby quickly tried to leave the room...yet Vaggie remained still.
"Have you...spoken to your dad about this?"
Charlie huffed. "many times...I've even asked Alastor if there was any way to break a Soul Deal."
"and, what did HE say?!" asked Vaggie, rolling her eye.
"oh, he just laughed and didn't even give me a straight answer." said Charlie, half annoyed.
"of course he did..." grumbled Vaggie...who then quickly got serious.
"look. Charlie, I won't pretend that I have all the answers. But I really do think you need to take a break for awhile...
...and I think I know just how you should spend your break."
Charlie looked at Vaggie, puzzled.
"I...hear Damien is resting. MAYBE you should go rest with him." continued Vaggie.
"It's obvious he is on your mind, and you might feel better being close to him."
Vaggie then chuckled lightly. "I know *I* often feel better being close to you..."
"Are you sure?" asked Charlie, concern in her gold-and-red eyes.
"I would hate to leave you alone to deal with everything all by your-"
"I'll be FINE, Charlie. I even have Emily around to help me out." said Vaggie.
"You just go get some rest, and TRY not to think about Adam, or Mephisto."
Charlie paused, still looking unsure.
"HEY, EVERYONE!" exclaimed Emily, appearing out of nowhere.
"AAH!" jumped Vaggie. "Christ!, do we need to put a BELL around you?!"
"Sorry...Didn't mean to startle you." said Emily.
Emily then looked at Charlie. "Whoa, Charlie. When was the last time you slept?!"
Charlie tried to answer...but could only yawn in response.
"We were JUST discussing that when you popped up." spoke Vaggie.
"Charlie is...Obsessing over things, and really needs to rest.
I'm trying to convince her that I can handle things so she CAN rest."
"Oh, of course! By all means: Get some sleep!" exclaimed Emily.
"I am here to help out afterall, so you don't need to worry about everything."
Charlie sighed, feeling defeated. "alright, ALRIGHT...you all win: I'll get some sleep."
As Charlie began to walk away, she stopped for a moment to look at Emily.
"Emily, Do you know where Damien is right now?"
"He might've gone to his room, as he said he needed some rest too." answered Emily.
"Thank You, Emily." said Charlie. "Guess I'll see you later."
As Charlie finally walked away, Emily looked to Vaggie.
"sooo...was Damien part of what she's been stressing about?" asked Emily.
"Is it THAT obvious?" spoke Vaggie, smirking.
"In Heaven, my job was to spread joy to all souls.." explained Emily.
"So, I can sense when a soul feels troubled, and needs cheering up.
And Charlie...HER Soul feels like a Thunderstorm that just won't stop!"
Vaggie frowned. "yeah...that would be accurate."
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
Vaggie shrugged. "Not unless you could find a loophole in whatever deal Damien made with-"
"I meant: to help "YOU." spoke Emily, blushing.
"OH!...r-right." said Vaggie, ALSO blushing. "Well, let's start with sorting out some paperwork."
[Elsewhere..]
Charlie yawned as she walked down a long hallway, passing by various doors to rooms
that would house guests, but were still vacant (and would've collected dust, if not for Niffty.)
Charlie let out another yawn, her fatigue finally catching up with her.
She then stopped to look at a mirror on the wall, and gaze at her own reflection.
"whoa...I DO look dead tired. guess I do need some sleep afterall..." spoke Charlie, rubbing her eyes.
Charlie resumed her walk down the hall, Eventually reaching Damien's room: [Room #872.]
Taking her Master Key, Charlie began to unlock the door.
Ordinarily she would knock first before entering anyone's room,
However, her special relationship with Damien allowed her an exception to this unwritten rule.
Upon unlocking the door, Charlie gently creaked it open and looked inside.
The room was pretty dark, with curtains drawn over the windows.
Making it appear to be nightfall, when it was really still midday.
Charlie was tempted to switch on the main light, but didn't want to wake Damien up.
So she tip-toed into the room, making her way to a nearby lamp and adjusted the light to a dim glow.
With the room more illuminated, Charlie could see a bit more of the interior now.
The nicest way Charlie could describe Damien's room was...'Disorganized.'
as random clothing was discarded on the floor, and every table in the room was covered in various items.
(In some ways, it reminded Charlie of her father's room, which doubled as a Workshop.)
Charlie quickly found that Damien wasn't even here, as his bed was empty.
"Hmm...I wonder where he could be-"
In that moment, Charlie nearly smacked herself as how obvious the answer was.
She then snapped both her fingers, teleporting away in a flare of pink hellfire.
Charlie reappeared in a random part of the Hotel, where a single door stood.
Room #001...the Penthouse Suite. Charlie's (and, Vaggie's) Room.
When her relationship with Damien became official,
she gave him a copy of her room key much like she had done with Vaggie.
As such, the Ghost Rider often alternated between sleeping in his own room, and Charlie's
(to the point that his original room was now just used for storage.)
Charlie approached the door...and indeed heard some faint sounds on the other side.
She quietly unlocked the door, and stepped inside with silent footsteps.
Inside the spacious, dimly lit room was a large window overlooking the whole city.
and a large bed with a puffy pink blanket where Charlie saw Damien...sleeping soundly.
Charlie smiled warmly at her second lover...and quietly locked the door behind her.
She then knelt down and began to untie her shoes.
Gently, she slipped her feet out and wiggled her hooved toes.
Stepping down on the fuzzy rug...Charlie let out a sigh of relief.
After such a long, stressful day. It really felt good to stretch her feet out.
Charlie then proceeded to walk silently into the room, gradually removing pieces of her clothing as she did.
Her red jacket was first, and then came off her suspenders and pants.
Now wearing just her white blouse, Charlie side-stepped into her walk-in closet.
Charlie finally removed her blouse, leaving her in her underwear now.
She exhaled as she approached a full body mirror and looked at herself.
The first thing she focused on was her round belly that was about the size of a basketball.
Placing her hands on her belly, she felt how tight it was...and WARM.
It made Charlie shiver knowing that there was a baby growing inside of her.
a Half-Human 'Cambion' baby.
hundreds of questions filled Charlie's head all at once...
Would the baby be healthy?, what would it ever look like?
Would it be born a Boy...or, a Girl?, Would the baby even LIKE her?!
But these questions soon faded as Charlie's mind once again fell on Adam,
and his promise to attack Hell early, STARTING with her Hotel.
And all Charlie could think about was her unborn child's safety.
"I won't let ANYONE hurt you...I promise." whispered Charlie, while rubbing her belly.
"I...I hope you know how much I love you. and I...I hope you'll love me, too.
I can't promise I'll be perfect...b-but, I'll try to be the BEST mother that I can."
Charlie then jumped as she felt a small kick within her. "I hope that's your way of saying "thank you." chuckled Charlie.
Charlie let out a sharp groan, and proceeded to undo her bra.
Due to her pregnancy, her once Grapefruit sized breasts had enlarged to the size of Cantaloupes.
And having no time to shop for a bigger bra, her current one was very, VERY tight against her 'chest pillows.'
With a loud SNAP, the bra flew off...and Charlie breathed out another size of relief.
"I swear to Grandfather, I will NEVER envy mom's 'Mega-Boobs' again..." spoke Charlie, to herself.
Charlie finally removed her panties, and the multiple ties in her hair.
shaking her head, and ruffling her log mane of golden hair,
the Princess of Hell looked at her reflection in the mirror again.
Now as nude as the day she was born, she took some time to examine how much her body had changed.
Her breasts were bigger now, but STILL half the size of her mother's infamous bust.
She also saw a white liquid dripping from her grey nipples (no doubt caused by the tightness of her bra.)
Turning to the side, Charlie gazed at her round belly again...which was shaped like a watermelon.
It was so big now, that Charlie wasn't sure if it could get any bigger.
(which was good, as it meant it wouldn't be long until her baby would finally be born.)
Charlie paused...even now, she still couldn't believe she was going to be someone's mother.
She always loved babies, and hoped to have one herself one day...and now that day was here.
Despite her excitement...Charlie also felt some dread.
She knew the birthing process would hurt...ALOT. She was almost scared of how much childbirth would hurt.
But...she was willing to endure it. She endured THIS much already.
Charlie searched through her closet for a proper nightgown to sleep in,
and after dismissing a few, eventually settled on one that Angel Dust bought for her.
a Ruby red, semi-transparent Silk nightgown.
Charlie liked how comfortable it was to wear...even if it didn't leave 'anything' to the imagination.
(Vaggie certainly LOVED when she wore it, so she wore it often for both of her lovers.)
Charlie finally made up her mind, and slipped the red nightgown on.
And it indeed felt very comfortable against her bare, pale skin.
Looking at her reflection one final time...Charlie blushed at how revealing it was.
Her nipples poked into the fabric, and her areolas were also very noticeable (now looking dark red.)
Feeling content, Charlie left her closet and returned to the bedroom interior.
She looked at her bed where Damien was still fast asleep under the poofy blankets.
With a sly smile, Charlie tip-toed towards the bed and stopped.
She then lifted up the edge of he blanket, and stealthily crawled underneath it.
Like a Mole, Charlie 'tunneled' under the blanket silently.
Her glowing eyes soon glimpsed Damien's slumbering body in the darkness.
She blushed upon seeing he was wearing only a pair of boxer shorts...and could smell his distinct male scent quite well.
Part of Charlie wanted to slip off her boyfriend's underwear, and imitate what she once saw on one of Angel Dust's 'films...'
...But, she decided against such lewdness as she was too sleepy,
AND didn't want to 'violate' Damien's privacy without his consent.
Charlie soon emerged from the blanket once she reached the head of the bed.
She was in her usual spot: The Middle, while Damien slept on the left side.
Ever since her 'open relationship' reached this point,
Damien always slept on the left side, while Vaggie slept on the right.
(that way, Damien and Vaggie each had an equal share of Charlie in bed.)
Charlie scooted closer to Damien, and checked on him.
The human male was still sound sleep, not showing any signs of being disturbed.
Charlie then nuzzled him with her black, button nose.
Her big, golden eyes gazing lovingly at the father of her unborn child.
"I love you...Daniel." spoke Charlie (addressing 'Damien' by his true name.)
Charlie then touched Damien's cheek, and gave him a soft kiss on the lips.
Damien stirred a little, but otherwise remained asleep. Blissfully unaware of Charlie's presence.
Charlie then snuggled up to the man, resting her head against his chest.
She listened to the sound of his beating heart that thumped at a steady pace.
It was a soothing sound to listen to.
Charlie breathed out...allowing herself to relax.
She eventually pushed out all anxiety from her mind, and focused on the moment.
It was like she was in a nice, safe bubble...with all that she loved around her.
The man she loved...and their baby growing inside of her.
All that was missing was Vaggie (but, Charlie knew she'd join them eventually.)
Charlie closed her eyes, and allowed sleep to overtake her.
She then smiled as her unconscious mind dreamt up a pleasant image.
One where Adam was defeated, the Hotel still stood...and a sweet child that resembled her wandered it's halls.

[Author Notes]
Apologies for taking so long to update this,
but the drama of moving to a new place
(and, getting new home internet)
caused unavoidable delays.
I intended this to be longer in length,
but I cut it short so readers won't have to wait as long.
(Plus, this was a good place to end the "chapter")
For the most part, this chapter focused on Charlie,
and her Anxiety prior to the Season One Finale.
(with the added issues of her impending motherhood,
and Damien/Ghost Rider's own dilemma regarding his soul.)
Next chapter will have more character interactions,
lore building and perhaps some action pieces.
For now...I hope you are all content
with some romantic fluff.
[NOTE: "PLEASE, don't make any tiring "Verbalase" comparisons."]
[TRIVIA: "Cambion" is the official term for a Human/Demon Hybrid species.
For posterity, "Nephilim" is the Human/Angel Equivalent,
and an Angel/Demon Hybrid (for all the Chaggie fans reading) is called a "Nephalem"]
