Purple was being called to.
By so many people he couldn't place what was going on.
"Purple, wake up!" King sounded desperate.
"Hey, kid! Wake up!" Maroon was worried. He'd forgotten King brought him with.
"Purple, hey, you with us?" Green was just as concerned.
"Purple, you okay?"
"Hey, you in there?"
Blue, Red, and Yellow echoed Green's sentiments.
The sun was being shined in his face.
Wait, the sun?
Were they outside?
"Victim, is he okay?" Second spoke.
"He should be coming to right about now, but I'm not sure if he's actually okay or not. I can do an assessment of his full injuries once he's awake." Victim sounded concerned, but that couldn't be possible. Victim had been orchestrating what Green and the others were going through.
"Hey, Purple? You okay?"
King was talking to him again.
"I...What happened?"
"Silver threw some ball at you and you've been out ever since," Green explained. "That was barely a few minutes ago, and the whole place exploded after that. We all survived, given your still in the uncloaked box, but we're all still alive."
Purple was still confused. "So your telling me I went through all of that in a span of a few minutes?"
"Yeah?"
That made no sense. His dad's abandonment had all but happened in a span of at least five or ten minutes. What the hell happened?
"And the entire building exploded in that span of time?"
"Yeah?"
"Jesus Christ, what the hell did I miss?"
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, Silver's dead." Green said, shrugging his shoulders like it was no big deal.
"Huh."
"Yeah, sorry."
"No, it's fine."
"We should get out of here before someone catches attention to the explosion," Second said. "It was big."
"Good idea."
Once safe in the woods, Victim examined Purple's injuries. His top agents, the same ones Second and Chosen were captured by, found their base and examined Victim, who seemed fine.
"Relax, Agents. I am unharmed. How many have escaped?"
"Most of your top agents were brought to safety. Around thirty are dead, including Agent Silver."
"Agent Silver is being viewed as a traitor for what they've done. They almost killed an innocent child we were not after," Victim gestured to Purple, who was being bandaged by King for the injuries he did have. It was nothing major, just a few scratches and a head injury from being thrown around. He didn't seem too bad. "See that their family is informed."
"Yes, sir."
Green ran over to Purple, holding his satchel. "I believe this is yours, my friend."
Purple took it. "Thanks, Green."
He was grateful to know all of his blades, his knife, and his box-cutter were all safe and in one piece.
"Almost forgot I gave you those." King smiled.
"Almost like you forgot about your adoption papers that you had in your bag the entire time." Green smirked.
"Shut up. I'm sure he knew they were in there." Purple said, clearly not taken by surprise.
"When the hell did you know about them?" Green snapped.
"You forget I heard that entire statement King gave while I was stuck in a void." Purple said simply.
"Damn it, forgot about that."
King smiled. "Happy birthday, kid. Although it was kinda...ruined by a secret organization."
Purple returned it. "I've had worse, but this time around I have a great family I can spend it with."
