Atsuko Kagari had gotten separated from Lotte and Sucy. It was mentioned that a cockatrice that size was very abnormal and unusual. She currently lacked the power to defeat the evil thing on her own. Lotte was currently out of commission and Sucy left them here but soon came back to try and stop the beast but she was not having much luck.
"I need to help them but how? I want to help my new friends" Atsuko said
Atsuko had found Shiny Chariot's rod but had no idea how to use it and was risking her life to protect her friends. She didn't care if she couldn't use magic currently but she was going to use whatever power she had to protect the things she cares about.
The shiny rod started to glow bright and that's when she heard a voice in her head.
"Shout Precure Magical Change" The voice said
"Huh? Who said that? Where are you?" Atsuko asked
The voice telling her to repeat the phrase again and again. It told her that these words would give her power and change her life and the fate of those around her in the magical world.
With no other option available to her she shouted those magic words.
"Precure Magical change!"
Atsuko transformed herself and her appearance drastically changed. Her normal brown hair was taken out of its half ponytail and flowed down. It became wave and fluffy and her hair color changed from brown to bright red. Her new red fluffy hair was put up in two pigtails and there were two yellow ribbons tied to them. Only two sides of her hair were pigtails while the rest of her fluffy hair flowed down her back. On her ears were red star earrings. She was also wearing short white gloves. She was wearing a red fuchsia top with black borders and a black bow on her chest. She also wore a red fuchsia skirt with black borders with a black bow on the back, her stomach was bare. She was wearing red and white boots. And finally she was wearing black choker with a yellow star on it and a black headband with an orange star on it. She also had red lip stick on.
Atsuko then starting saying a phrase before she knew what was going on.
"A shining light that shines brightly through the darkness in this magical world, Cure Shiny" Atsuko said
Atsuko looked at herself and freaked out because of her new look.
"What happened to me?!" Atsuko asked herself
Atsuko remembered calling herself Cure Shiny. She remembered the transformation phrase and remembered the name Precure.
The cockatrice roared at her and this caused Shiny to look up and saw that the cockatrice was charging at her. Shiny screamed and started to run away from the monster.
"Just leave me and my friends alone already!" Shiny said
The monster tried to peck at her but the warrior jumped and went higher than she thought she would. She was almost flying
"Whoa I didn't think I would jump this high" Shiny said
She then looked down and gulped.
"But how do I get down safely?" Shiny asked in a scared tone
Shiny screamed when she fell back down but luckily she managed to grab branch and spin around it before jumping back down safely. She sighed with relief before running away from the monster again.
The monster launched a fireball at her. It missed but the shockwave sent the magical girl flying in the air. The monster then leaped up after her and tried to devour her. Shiny saw the monster come after her and panicked.
"Wait! Stop! Don't eat me! I don't taste good!" Shiny said
Shiny swung her leg upwards and hit the monster on the chin. This caused the monster great pain and fell back towards the ground. The red headed warrior landed on her feet and looked shocked about what she had just done.
"Wow! Did I just do that?!" Shiny asked herself
Lotte woke up and saw that Akko was gone but there was a new redheaded warrior there and was fighting the monster all by herself. Sucy, who was knocked off her broom, simultaneously woke up and saw the warrior.
The monster unleashed its breath against Shiny and the warrior started to turn to stone.
"Oh no!" Lotte said
Sucy grabbed Lotte and ran away.
"Wait Sucy! We can't leave her there" Lotte said
"It's too late for her, she's a goner" Sucy said
Shiny had turned to stone completely and didn't move.
"As much as I want that feather I'm not willing to get turned to stone over it" Sucy said
"We need to find Akko" Lotte said
"Forget about her" Sucy said
"No I can't" Lotte said
A light was shining from petrified Shiny. The statue started to crack and pink light was coming from the cracks. With a flex of her muscles and magic power, Shiny broke free from her petrification.
"That's impossible, no one should be able to do that" Sucy said
"Just who on earth is she? I've never seen power like that before" Lotte said
The cockatrice breathed fire but Shiny put her hands out in front of her.
"Shining shield"
A shield of light appeared in front of her and blocked the attack with ease.
Shiny then ran and her speed was too much for the monster to keep up with and the warrior punched the cockatrice in the stomach, sending it flying backwards. The monster landed on its back. The warrior then grabbed it's tail and started to spin it around and around.
"That idiot's going to get poisoned by that feather by grabbing it like that" Sucy said
The feather came off and Shiny tossed it aside.
"It doesn't seem to be affecting her at all though" Lotte said
"Just who on earth is she?' Sucy asked
The cockatrice landed on its back and weakly looked up to see the girl in front of it.
"Foul beast that dares attack innocent people, prepared to be vanquished" Shiny said
Shiny then took out the Shiny rod and transformed it into a bow and arrow.
"Precure: Shining Arrow wave"
The redheaded warrior let her magic arrow fly and the monster couldn't react in time and got hit and disappeared upon its defeat.
The shiny rod disappeared and Shiny wondered about how to transform back when she was approached by Lotte and Sucy.
"Um...excuse me" Lotte said
Shiny turned around and was about shout out her name but realized that Lotte and Sucy didn't recognize her like this and decided to pretend that she was someone else.
"I would like to thank you for saving us from that monster" Lotte said
"Oh...really? Well no problem. It's my job to help those in need" Shiny said
"Well you were good for something. I got the feather I wanted so I'm satisfied" Sucy said
"By the way, there was another girl with us. She has brown hair and red eyes. Have you seen her?" Lotte asked
Shiny found this question awkward since the person they were looking for was in front of them but they couldn't recognize her.
"Oh her? Yes I saw her earlier and had already rescued her" Shiny said
Lotte breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank goodness she's safe" Lotte said
"Where is she?" Sucy asked
"You'll find her at the end of the forest" Shiny said
"Who are you?" Sucy asked
"Who am I?" Shiny asked
"Yes, we want to know the name of the person who saved us" Lotte said
It was obvious that she couldn't reveal her actual name so she decided to go with the name that she said when she first transformed.
"I am called the Precure of light, Cure Shiny" Shiny said
"Precure?" Sucy asked
"Cure Shiny?" Lotte asked
"Correct, now I must go. Get out safely" Shiny said
The warrior then jumped high and left before Sucy and Lotte could stop her from leaving. Shiny managed to change back into Akko and met her friends at the end of the forest and made it Luna Nova in time. Although Akko didn't make the greatest first impression she more than made up for it with her magic which even surprised her since she doesn't come from a magic family.
Diana Cavendish, a witch that comes from an actual family of witches, was the star student of Luna Nova and excelled in all types of magic. She was happened to overhear about Lotte and Sucy's encounter with the mysterious warrior.
"I wonder how that warrior that saved us is doing out there" Lotte said
Diana's interest was peeked because this was the first she heard about a warrior near Luna Nova's grounds.
"You mean Cure Shiny right?" Sucy asked
"Cure Shiny?" Diana thought
"When she rescued me she said she was called a Precure" Akko said
Precure? That name seemed familiar to Diana and then remembered what they were.
"You encountered the legendary warrior known as the Precure?" Diana asked
The three of them looked over saw the ace student herself.
"Oh hi Diana" Lotte said
"We might have, what about it?" Sucy asked
"The precure were legendary warriors with mighty magic. They were last seen when the Nine olde witches were still on this earth" Diana said
"They were last seen that long ago?" Akko asked
"Yes, the fact that have reappeared means that something sinister is going to happen that requires their help" Diana said
Later on during the Papillion incident they finally hatched and the last one was about to fly away but a dark power corrupted it and transformed it into a monster.
"Everybody run now!" Diana said
The dark papillon tried to hit them with web. Akko was slow on purpose and was sealed in the room with the papillon. That way no one would see her transformation.
"Precure Magical change"
Akko changed into Cure Shiny once again.
"A shining light that shines brightly through the darkness in this magical world, Cure Shiny"
Diana meanwhile managed to cast spell that destroyed the web and saw a colorful girl and knew who this girl was.
"That's the legendary Precure" Diana said
Ursula, a new professor at the academy, was just as intrigued by the appearance of the warrior as well. She had heard tales but believed them to be nothing more then fairy tales but to see the precure right in front of her means that the stories were true.
The dark papillon unleashed a dark wind towards the precure. The warrior was prepared for the attack though.
"Shining shield"
The wind bounced off of her shield and the monster then saw the other witches there and launched its attack on them. Shiny saw this used her speed to go toward them and was forced to take the attack so the other witches wouldn't get hurt. The other witches gasped upon seeing the redheaded warrior taking a hit for them.
The monster kept attacking them but Shiny kept defending them either with her body or with her shield.
Diana caught on quickly why the warrior couldn't fight back properly.
"Everyone we need to leave this room now" Diana said
"But we can't just leave her here alone" Lotte said
"That monster keeps attacking us and Cure Shiny keeps defending us. We're only getting in her way. In order to defeat it we need to leave this room so she can fight it properly" Diana said
Although they were reluctant they did leave the room and this allowed Cure Shiny to not only defeat the monster but purify it back into its normal form. Now that a Precure has appeared more will soon show up.
