VIII: Ceasefire

Agnes was moments away from launching the missiles at the Northern Aquila Republic. Using the remaining Sol Emeralds, she would begin powering up the massive combat robot. "Incredible. Normally this would be something I would…" She then observed the vessel closer noticing some familiarity. "Wait a minute,…"

"Brings back memories?"

Tolkien turned seeing Balam. "Well if this isn't the turkey calling the chicken dry."

Balam would force a gust of wind in the doctor's direction taking offense to her insult.

The doctor would fall from the rafters only to catch herself with her jetpack. "You and your friend call me a thief, yet here you are with my own technology."

Blaze would blast her from behind while reclaiming the remaining emeralds. "This technology doesn't belong to those who misuse it."

"Knowing your father, that's rather hypocritical." She attempts to draw her energy pistol only to suddenly feel resistance.

Quan Kun walked over to her slowly having used the earth to subdue her. "Sorry we had to meet again like this, Dr. Tolkien. If you don't mind, we would like you to stand down. We do not wish to hurt anyone."

"How did you evade my troops!"

The panda would then pull a device from his robe which projected a live hologram.

The inmates were fending off Tolkien's robot hordes with Marshall and Marine in the thick of it.

Agnes was in disbelief. "To think they were enemies with each other."

Quan wags his finger at her. "Not when they know the real enemy."

Marshall was back to back with Marine. "So you have the power to control water?"

Marine nods while using said water to short out several robots. "Yep. What about you?"

"My only power is my fast mouth."

"Blaze has a friend like that in another world."

"I doubt he can outpace me."

Blaze would then hear a countdown. "The missiles!"

Tolkien laughs. "Don't bother trying to stop them. The override is locked behind a password that only Emperor Cinder and that goat knows, and they're both gone."

Balam picks Tolkien up by her collar. "Jiyuu kept the codes in her horn. She must have had the override as well."

"She did. I made sure no one could read them."

"Damn you!"

"The end begins in 5,…4,…3,…2,…"

The terminal would then stop. 'Override accepted. Launch aborted.'

"What!?" The doctor looks to the terminal.

Cinder had accessed the terminal. "You forgot that there's two Cinders." He then entered a new command. "Initial missile disposal."

Tolkien grew angry as she would break from of the panda's hold and jet up to the robot entering the cockpit. "Looks like I have no choice but to get involved now!"

Blaze would blast the vessel with her flames to no avail. "Reinforced. I can't penetrate it."

"You can't hurt me, but I can hurt you!" She would launch the robot's first, only she would not aim at Blaze but rather Balam.

"No!" The feline rushes to her pushing her aside.

Balam watched in shock and horror seeing the fist collide with Blaze crushing her beneath it. "BLAZE!"
