"I think I'll skip..." I said as I kissed the top of her head and played with her hair.
"Ummm... No, let's go together actually..." she said.
"What?" I asked surprisingly.
It was Jasper's engagement party this weekend, and I didn't think she'd like me to go, and I didn't want to go either. Yes, Jasper was my friend, but Bella meant a lot more to me, and I didn't think attending this engagement party was a good idea. We were doing so well, and there was no fucking way I wanted to spoil it because of anything!
"Yeah... I don't want them to control my life anymore..." she said as she kissed my lips and rested her head on my chest.
It still felt surreal that we were finally 'together'! To my surprise, she was putting in more effort than I expected her to... She was slowly opening up... She was making an effort to understand me... We were on the right track... So I guess this was also a conscious effort she was trying to make not to let them affect her in any way...
"And I think it's time to attend some event as a couple! You know... kind of let's make it official!" She smiled.
"Really?" I smiled, "Are you ready for that?"
"I don't think I've ever been more ready about anything else..." she smiled.
"Let's do it then!" I smiled as I kissed her again.
