(It's two weeks before Mariska was set to leave and head back home. She noticed that Chris has barely been talking to her since that night. She was just finishing up setting a kid up in a room when she saw him headed to his office. She goes up to his office door and knocks on it as she waits.)

Chris: Come in.

Mariska: Hey you have a minute?

Chris: Umm not really.

(She goes in anyway and closes the door as he boots up his computer. She looks at him and smiles as his eyebrow twitch.)

Mariska: So you're just going to ignore me until I leave.

Chris: What?

Mariska: You have been acting off since that night and.

Chris: It's nothing, just a lot of work.

Mariska: I call bullshit.

Chris: Everything is fine.

Mariska: Everything is not fine Chris. I've barely seen you these pass few weeks because you put me with Mary. Are you avoiding me because of what I said or didn't say, because leave to go back home in two weeks?

Chris: Look you've made it very clear where we stand and I'm only respecting your wishes. We both knew this day was coming so I just think it best.

Mariska: So why are you being an ass.

Chris: Look I have a lot of paperwork and a meeting in five minutes I don't need any distractions.

Mariska: (looks hurt) Wow, well I'm sorry for disturbing you.

(She turns and walks out of the door without a second glance. After the door was closed he threw his pen down and dropped his head into his hands.)

(Mariska finishes the rest of her shift and heads home. She stops by the grocery store to get a few things to cook tonight. Her mind is on Chris and why he was acting like a total asshole. She was just about to eat her dinner when her cell went off. She looks and sees that it's Mary texting her about hanging out before she leaves. She replies back saying she doesn't know because she needs to pack. After she winds down for the night she gets into bed and pops open a book to read before bed.)

(It's now the day before she leaves and she is in the break room getting her last day started. She was eating a muffin when Mary came in smiling when she saw her. Chris walks in right behind her and their eyes lock for a second before he looks away.)

Mary: So Mariska will you be joining us tonight at Marley's? It's going to be so much fun tonight, I heard they will have a special guest there.

Mariska: I don't know, I have an early flight tomorrow.

Mary: Please, I promise I won't have you out too late, please.

Mariska: OK fine what time?

Mary: Eight.

Mariska: OK, but only for an hour and a half.

Mary: Got it.

(Mary walks over to her and hugs her before she leaves leaving her and Chris alone. It's so quiet you could probably hear a rat piss on cotton. She goes back to eating her muffin as he fixes his coffee. The door open again and Mariska sees it's the new nurse who started two weeks ago.)

Amber: Good morning Chris.

Chris: Good morning Amber.

(Mariska watches how she moves closer to him and places a hand on his back.)

Amber: I heard there's a gathering tonight at Marley's, are you going?

Chris: (smiles) I haven't decided yet.

Amber: You should come I think it could be fun.

Chris: I don't know.

(Amber makes a sad face causing Mariska to roll her eyes at how desperate she is.)

Amber: (pouts) Please, I promise to make it worth your while.

(At this Mariska almost choked on her coffee as she tried not to laugh. She gets up deciding to give them some privacy and leave to go start her day. By the end of her shift, she felt great and made it home to see what she was going to wear tonight.)

(It is a little past eight when she finally shows up at Marleys where she is shocked to see all of her co-workers. It was then that she realized that it was a surprise farewell party for her.)

Mary: Mariska you made it.

Mariska: Yeah I just got here whats all of this?

Mary: We all decided to throw you a farewell party since you leave tomorrow.

Mariska: Mary you guys didn't have to do that.

Mary: Nonsense, come on everyone is waiting.

(Mart grabs her hand and drags her over to where everyone is and she's bombarded with hugs and kisses.)

Mariska: Aww this is really sweet you guys.

John: Hey your family here and we will miss you.

Mariska: I'm going to miss you guys too. You all are my family now and will always hold a special place in my heart.

(She wipes the tear that slipped from her eye before Mary speaks up.)

Mary: Ok enough of the mushy shit lets have some fun.

Mark: I'm down with that.

Mary: Well let's get this party started.

(The drinks started to come and everyone was having a good time. Mariska was having the time of her life on the dance floor with the ladies. She mingled a little with everyone before she went to sit down. She was reapplying her lipstick when Mark walked over with another drink.)

Mark: Mind if I join you?

Mariska: Of course not.

Mark: I brought you another drink I promise it's clean.

Mariska: (chuckle) Thanks.

Mark: So you leave tomorrow huh?

Mariska: (sigh) Yeah, I'm finally heading back home. It's been nice here and everyone is so friendly and it's like a second home now.

Mark: Glad you had a great experience here.

Mariska: I can't complain about anything.

(They continue to talk when she sees Chris and Amber walk in together. She's all over him and he's smiling as everyone greets them. Their eyes lock for a second before he looks away answering whatever Amber told him. All of a sudden the air in the club is as thick as smoke and her mood changed just that quickly.)
