Spyro The Dragon 5: Malefor And The Chaos Apatites

Dr. Robotmik has a new servant, Malefor, to assist him in his plans. Under his master's orders, Malefor's kidnapping animals and locking them in cages that only the Chaos Apatites can destroy. Spyro and his friends must rescue the animals again, uncover Malefor's motives, and thwart the doc's schemes. This story takes place ten days after Spyro The Dragon 4: Animal Rescue.

6. Chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Rest Temple Revelation:

Spyro and his friends made their way back to the Rest Temple, their minds racing with thoughts of the mysterious purple dragon they had seen. They entered the temple and walked up to Tamus, who greeted them warmly.

"Spyro and friends, so glad you're here!" Tamus exclaimed.

Spyro stepped forward, curiosity piqued. "What for?"

Tamus' expression grew serious. "Well, the villagers here have seen a purple blur flying around and have found out that this purple blur is a purple dragon."

"And what about it?" Spyro asked, still trying to piece together the significance.

"This purple dragon is Malefor," Tamus revealed, "and he's a cruel dragon."

Spyro's eyes narrowed. "How is he cruel?"

Tamus sighed. "Because he's been kidnapping animals and locking them in cages under the orders of Dr. Robotmik."

Spyro clenched his fists. "Well, it should be simple then. We find the cages and destroy them."

"It won't be easy, Spyro," Tamus warned. "These cages can only be destroyed by certain artifacts… the Chaos Apatites."

"The Chaos Apatites?" Spyro echoed. "What are those?"

"The Chaos Apatites are sentient gems, and there are twenty-one of them," Tamus explained. "You will have to find them, but they won't be easy to locate as they will only appear to those they recognize as worthy of their power."

Spyro hesitated for a moment before saying, "Tamus, the animals ran away."

Tamus' eyes widened in shock. "What?! Is that true?"

"Yes, it's true," Spyro confirmed. "They felt really bad about what they had done, and we have been informed about the new threat from Malefor."

Tamus took a deep breath. "I will try to look into the pool here for more information. In the meantime, you should also try to find the Dragon Guardians. They know more about the Chronicler than I do."

Spyro nodded. "Understood. We'll save the animals again but also keep the idea of finding the Dragon Guardians in our heads."

His friends voiced their agreement, and with renewed determination, they prepared to set off on their next adventure. The challenge ahead was daunting, but they knew they had to find the Chaos Apatites and stop Malefor and Dr. Robotmik to save the animals once more.
