Chapter 7

After taking his potions for a month, Lucius felt better. He needed that little help, and seeing his mind healer helped a bit. Having Rodolphus there to guide and comfort him was also a relief.

It was time for Lucius's healer appointment to check the baby and see how things were going.

The healer floo in, taking her eyes on Lucius. "How are you feeling?"

Lucius replied, "Bloated still and sick all the time. My back hurts; it actually feels like my spine is gonna break," he frowned.

Harden, Abraxas, and Rodolphus looked at him, shocked.

The healer said, "I'm gonna scan you." She looked at the results and continued, "You're right. We need to get you on a strong nutrition potion, like now." She turned to Harden. "Did you deal with this when pregnant with Lucius?"

Harden responded, "I did. Why?"

The healer nodded. "It must be genetic then."

Lucius looked worried. "What's going on with me? Is my baby going to be okay?"

Harden held his hand.

The healer reassured him, "You will be fine, I promise. You will be able to deliver okay if we get you on the potions, okay, Lucius?"

Abraxas said, "I will send for them."

The healer smiled, "Do you want to know what you are having?"

Lucius looked at Rodolphus. "I do."

The healer smiled, "A boy. Congratulations!"

Lucius blinked back tears. "Thank you."

The healer said, "I'll take my leave. Congratulations again. See you next time. "

Lucius chuckled. "I'm having a boy, Mama."

Harden beamed, "My baby is having a boy! This is wonderful."

Abraxas added, "Very wonderful, Lucius."

Rodolphus smiled, "Now my baby girl will have a protector around her age," he smiled.

Lucius chuckled. "Yeah, Emmy will. Rodolphus, let's go on a walk, please."

Rodolphus took his hand. "Okay, Luc."

They walked in the gardens, feeling peace come over them. "Rod, thanks for walking with me."

Rod smiled, "My pleasure, Luc. Are you okay, though? You're quiet."

Luc said, "I'm okay, just thinking. I want Sev to give up his rights. I'm not gonna let him take my boy. He is dead to me."

Rod nodded. "Your father will take care of that. Want to go tell him?"

Lucius nodded, "Yes."

They walked back to the Manor to tell Abraxas.

Father" Lucius called, "I don't want Severus to have any rights to my baby boy."

Abraxas nodded, "Okay, I'll deal with it."

Tom walked into the room with Harden. "Congratulations, Lucius, on the boy."

Lucius smiled, "Thanks, Gramps."

Tom chuckled, "Just like your mom when he found out about you. How are you feeling altogether?"

Lucius replied, "I'm okay. On anxiety potions again, so feeling better."
