Chapter 10
Lucius stumbles into Rodolphus's arms. "I'm sorry," he mutters.
Rodolphus looks at him, concerned. "Lucius?"
Lucius passes out.
Rodolphus shouts, "Harden! Abraxas! Help!"
Harden looks over, rushing to Lucius and touching him. Abraxas calls for the healer.
They look at him. "Poor boy, going through so much."
Rodolphus whispers, "Lucius, come on, wake up. I love you."
Lucius moans. "Rod?" He blinks. "What happened?"
Rod: "Oh, Lucius, you passed out in my arms. Are you feeling okay?"
The healer comes in. "I'll scan you. You seem to be in good health. It's the stress of everything. You need rest."
Harden: "Lucius, baby, I think it's best you be on bed rest, okay?"
Abraxas: "I second that."
Lucius nods and groans. "Crap," he mutters, holding his stomach.
Rodolphus: "Are you okay?"
Lucius: "No, so much pain. Oh God," he silently cries.
Rodolphus: "Harden, take Emmy, please."
Harden does.
Rodolphus: "Breathe with me, Lucius. It's just Braxton Hicks contractions. You're okay. Breathe."
Lucius does and nods, feeling less pain. "I don't like that," he mutters.
Rodolphus: "No one does, love. The real deal is worse, trust me. I know."
Lucius snorts. "You mean you terrified everyone around you?"
Rodolphus: "I was in so much pain, I couldn't help it."
Lucius: "Sure, I think you wanted Rab out." He chuckles. "I still remember his face as soon as you pulled your wand."
Rodolphus snorts. "I didn't mean to scare him. It was agitating me."
Lucius laughs.
Rodolphus: "Just you wait."
Lucius: "I'll have you. It will be fine."
Rodolphus: "You will. Love you, Lucius."
Lucius smiles. "Can we go rest, please?"
