The sky seemed to be a sheet of deep blue and black hues, a beautiful contrast to the radiant glow of the moon. Stars seemed to dance along the sky casting a gentle shine toward the heavens. The trees, silhouetted against the night sky, appeared as a rich, deep green, their leaves rustling softly in the cool, tranquil breeze. The earth below was calm and serene, embracing the quietude with a profound stillness that fills the soul with peace.

Musa, In contrast to the beautiful, quiet night, had her music blaring through headphones , as if trying to drown out the silence itself. Although she knows it's for the best, she can't help but feel the sting of heartache about her break up with Riven. The serene surroundings seem almost at odds with her, as the tranquility of the night fails to soothe the storm inside her. Her vision clouded with tears, she almost didn't see the blood she almost stepped in. She paused — registering it before she stumbled back. Taking off her headphones, she looked around, she was listening for sounds of struggling — maybe someone was hurt.

She listened. She waited. She heard rustling from ahead. It didn't sound like a person — an injured animal, maybe. If so she thought to call Roxy, but she didn't. Instead her feet seemed to pull on their, taking her forward into the rustling. Pulling away some brush, her eyes widened as she watched him.

Gantlos, now dawning two large fangs, and blood red eyes, sank his teeth into a deer. Consuming it, savoring the taste of the fresh prey. His pupils so dilated the entirety of his eyes looked almost black, it was like watching a feeding frenzy. Musa's heart dropped to her stomach as red hues met her purple ones. She couldn't move as he seemed to take his time walking over to her, she looked up at the familiar blonde wizard. What seemed like hours passed, though it had probably only been a minute or two. He crouched, reaching out and touching her hair.

"Y–you—the teeth—are you" her words sloshed together, Gantlos was normally cleaner when he fed, but it'd been a long time, and he was starving.

"You can say the word: vampire. I won't take offense," his voice sounded restrained, "what's wrong fairy? Cat got your tongue?" He leaned in, "or are you afraid of me?"

Gantlos prepared himself for the onslaught of insults that deemed him a monster, he readied himself for a fairy dance that ended with a fight. But he did not prepare himself for a slew of compliments.

"That's—that's so….COOL!" Roxy had been forcing Earths vampire media down her throat, she wondered if earth vampires were different from those on Magix. "You know, this would be so much more exciting if I was in a better mood. Do you sparkle? Why the whole deer? Are you normally this messy?"

Gantlos blinked, he stood, looking confused, "what? You're not gonna…do the fairy thing and try to fight me?"

"Do you want me to? I really don't have the energy…" she half laughed at the situation, looking at the bewildered man. And he took a moment to truly look back. Running mascara, blotched face, glossy eyes—before him stood a very distraught fairy. They stared for a moment, then he spoke.

"What's eating you?"

"Hopefully not you," he chuckled at her joke, "was that a laugh I heard? Did I bring the most brooding wizard vampire joy?" Her tone playful, yet her eyes remained solemn.

"Very funny," he grumbled. His arms crossed, "I won't be nice again, I'm starving here,"

"Okay hangry, if you must know —" should she really open up to him? She didn't think it would necessarily hurt, "if you must know I'm not feeling too well about my relationship, or rather, lack of."

"That's it?" Gantlos rolled his eyes, "listen, anyone could be more romantic than that scrub you were with,"

"Oh yeah? Even you, Dracula?" With a swift motion Gantlos had her on the ground, hovering over her. He placed a kiss on her hand, never breaking eye contact.

"Especially me," his voice sent shivers up her spine.

"Do the others, I mean, know about —"

"About the fangs? Yeah, they know,"

He brought strands of her hair to his lips.

"I'm surprised Ogron hasn't utilized it,"

"He knows better —" the words were a growl, "it's not exactly something I'm all too proud to share with other people. If you didn't look so pathetic I'd probably sink my teeth into you."

"Oh lucky me," musa wiped her face as he got to his feet.

"Fairy blood is too sweet anyway," he tilted her chin, looking her in the eyes, "you know, cute fairies shouldn't walk in spooky woods alone," he circled her, leaning to whisper in her ear from behind, "you might attract something bad" his purr made her feel a wave of excitement.

"Like you?" She challenged.

"Just like me," he flashed his teeth, adrenaline rushed through her.

"That doesn't seem so bad…" her voice was barely a whisper.

"No?" His tongue snaked its way down her neck, fangs grazing her skin as she shuddered. "Don't seem too excited now~" the teasing brought her back to reality. Gantlos. Bad.

She whipped around, and he followed suit. He picked her up like she weighed nothing , gazing into her eyes as her legs wrapped around him for support.

"I would love to stay, but I'm starving, and unless you're going to be my next meal, I would really, really recommend you leave,"

His voice was a low and warning.

"Don't I get a kiss goodbye," she half joked to ease her discomfort, but his cold lips met her warmth, she melted. Their eyes never closed as he gently prodded her mouth with his tongue. She faltered a bit as he pulled away, placing her down.

A comfortable silence followed as he kissed her hand once more.

"You're much too sweet for me," he smirked as he placed her headphones back over her ears, and pushed her along.

Walking out of the woods, she felt much lighter, like a weight was lifted from her heart. She'd definitely be appreciating nighttime strolls more often.
