A group of dragons were flying off with the sorcer's stone leaving Luna Nova without any magical power but no one reacted. It was later revealed that a dragon named Fanfir was behind the theft and took the stone as payment but Diana proved that all he did was steal it. The dragon decided to not back down and took advantage of the confused students by blowing a gust of wind towards them knocking into the wall.
"I didn't want to do this but you forced my hand and now none of you will be leaving this place until your memories are erased" Fanir said
Diana casted a light spell at the dragon but the Fanfir anticipated a spell and created a shield out of pure energy. It wasn't magic it was made up of cyber energy, which was completely different from magic.
Akko chose this time to disappear and proceeded to transform into Cure Shiny once again. When she returned she gasped when she saw that many cyber cubes had her friends trapped and left them unable to move.
"All of you are finished now" Fanfir said
He was about to have them squished but a beam of light shot at the cubes, breaking them and freeing everyone from their prisons. Hannah and Barbara were the first ones to recover and looked over to see who it was and saw Cure Shiny.
"It's Cure Shiny" Hannah said
"She must've known about the trouble going on the with sorcer's stone too" Barbara said
Fanfir saw the warrior and huffed.
"So you're Cure Shiny" Fanfir said
"Fanfir, return the sorcer's stone where it belongs at once" Shiny said
"Ha! What makes you think I'll give it up so willingly" Fanfir said
"I don't want to fight an elderly dragon. I want to settle this peacefully" Shiny said
"Listen here little girl! Just because I'm old doesn't mean I can't defend myself" Fanfir said
The old dragon then snapped his fingers and many copies of himself appeared out of nowhere. Shiny gasped and looked around, trying to find the real one.
"Cure Shiny! You may have powerful magic but it pales against the power of my technology" Fanfir said
Cyber cubes appeared and shot electricity at the redheaded warrior but she dodged them. She tried to kick one of them but her leg went right through the dragon.
"Her attack went right through him?" Barbara asked
"He must be using holograms to confuse her" Diana said
"But which one's the real one? The real one has to be here too right?" Hannah asked
"It's over Precure" The fanfirs said
They shot lightning at her and she got electrocuted by the attack and screamed in pain.
"Shiny!" Diana called out
"As I said before. The Era of magic is over and technology will surpass it in every way" Fanfir said
Lasers shot at her and hit her on contact. Shiny was on the ground all bruised up.
"What do we do?" Hannah asked in fear
"We're goners" Barbara said in fear
"Magic is useless now" Fanfir said
Shiny got up slowly and stood on her feet. Diana was surprised that she could stand after taking all those attacks head on. Even Diana wouldn't be able to take those attacks and stand back up.
"You're wrong about magic" Shiny said
"Hmm? What are you talking about now?" Fanfir asked
"Magic is a wonderful thing. Technology is also a wonderful thing. Who says that they can't co-exist together in the same world" Shiny said
"Magic should no longer exist in the modern era" Fanfir said as he attacked her again
The lasers made contact again but Shiny remained standing.
"Luna nova is a place where people chose to come and study magic. The students enrolled here because they love magic and wish to learn it for themselves" Shiny said
"You don't seem to understand that not everyone can use magic" Fanfir said
"You're wrong! Everyone has magic inside of them. Sure they may not be able to cast spells or make potions. But they have their own magic to make miracle happen. Doctors are able to cure patients of their illnesses and police are able to catch criminals that try to hurt others. Everyone has magic in them even if they don't know they do. Magic comes from the heart and people that wish to learn magic use their heart to learn about how wonderful it is. You, who doesn't like magic at all, can't possibly understand the feelings that others have towards magic" Shiny said
The witches were silent as they listened to Shiny's view on magic and was shocked to hear how much the precure loved magic.
"Shut up! No more of your nonsense!" Fanfir said
The dragons and the holograms attacked Shiny again but she dodged the attacks by jumping out of the way.
"I'll show you how powerful and wonderful magic really is" Shiny said
Shiny then created multiple magic circles at once. Diana couldn't believe there were so many of them at once. She was witnessing the true magic of the legendary precure.
"Precure: Starlight shower"
Multiple lights shaped like stars came out of the magic circles and attacked all the fanfirs. It didn't do anything to the holograms but the real one managed to take a hit from the attack. When the dust cleared, the lab was in complete ruins. The dragon was on the ground, bruised up from Shiny's attack.
"She...she did it!" Hannah said
"She really beat him!" Barbara said
Fanfir looked up and saw Shiny staring down at him.
"That was some powerful magic there kid" Fanfir said
"That's the power of the magic that I love so much. Everyone here also loves magic so much. I will protect everyone's love for magic" Shiny said
Cure Shiny took the sorcer's stone and returned it back to where it belonged. Just as she was about to leave Diana stopped her.
"Wait Cure Shiny" Diana said
Shiny looked back at Diana confused.
Diana actually didn't like seeing Cure Shiny all bruised up like that and offered to heal her but she warrior declined, saying that she didn't need to do that for her before leaving.
The guardian of the fountain of Polaris was being affected by dark magic but luckily it was stopped by Cure Shiny. The fight wasn't difficult for a warrior like Cure Shiny however the source of the dark magic is what concerns her.
There were screams and Shiny ran towards the screams and saw that multiple students were being attacked by shadows, not just nay shadows, their own shadows. Shiny started going around the school taking them down one by one.
Appleton Academy was under attack by some shadows too and the boys that went there weren't very fond of magic. There were a select few that liked it but it was a very low number.
Andrew Hambridge, a noble and student of the academy, was being attacked by his own shadow and was being cornered by it and the shadow was to swing down and young man closed his eyes but the pain never came. He opened his eyes and saw there was a red headed girl. She was grabbing onto the hand of his shadow. She delivered one punch to it and his shadow vanished. Had this girl just saved him?
"Are you okay?" Shiny asked
Andrew managed to find his voice.
"Y-yes thank you" Andrew said
A giant shadow then appeared and roared at them and swung at them. Shiny grabbed Andrew and jumped. Andrew was shocked to see how high they were after a single leap from the girl. The super hero then put him down and leaped up in the air and kicked the shadow on the head, causing it to stagger backwards. She then finished it off.
"Precure: Shining arrow wave"
The warrior unleashed an arrow of light towards the shadow and pierced its body and it disappeared.
After all was said and done more trouble would come her way, not in the form of trouble but in the form of Louis Blackwell, son of the minister of defense, Mr. Blackwell.
Mr. Blackwell was also the chairman of the Appleton Academy and that made Louis believe that he was untouchable.
"YOU!" Louis shouted
Frank, A friend of Andrew, happened to catch up there and saw that Louis was coming this way and groaned.
"Uh oh, here we go" Franks said
Louis was now in front of Cure Shiny and pointed at her.
"Do you have any idea what you had just done?!" Louis asked in anger
Shiny was confused and put her finger on her chin.
"Um...I saved everyone?" Shiny guessed
"NO! YOU ALMOST CAUSED IRREVERSABLE DAMAGE TO OUR BELOVED ACADEMY!" Louis shouted
"Um...I'm pretty sure that was the shadows' doing not mine" Shiny said
"Just admit it! You're the one who summoned those shadows to attack our academy" Louis said
"WHAT?!" Shiny, Frank and Louis shouted
"Louis, that's ridiculous why would she summon shadows to attack our school and then come in and save us?" Frank asked
"I have to agree with Frank. Why go through the trouble to summon shadows just to defeat them all?" Andrew asked
"It's simple. She did that so she could play the part of the hero to get my father's favor since he's the minister of defense" Louis said
"But I don't gain anything from doing that in the first place" Shiny said
"That's just what you want us to think but I'm on to you witch!" Louis said
Frank placed a hand on Shiny's shoulder and dragged her away from Louis.
"Feel free to ignore him. On behalf of Appleton Academy thank you for saving us" Frank said
"Yes I would like to thank you for saving me as well" Andrew said
"Oh you're welcome, I was glad I could help you all" Shiny said
"What's your name?" Andrew asked
"Cure Shiny" Shiny said
"Cure Shiny? What an unusual name" Andrew said
"Well I am a precure after all" Shiny said
Andrew paused before responding.
"You're a precure?" Andrew asked
Shiny nodded as a response.
"Mind filling me in on what's going?" Frank asked
"Precure were legendary warriors with mighty magic. There were history books talking about them being around when the Nine Olde Witches were still alive" Andrew said
"I guess you've read about them in your studies?" Frank asked
"Indeed, but to see one before me is quite astounding. The legends did not exaggerate when they said that the precure were strong warriors" Andrew said
"So there's more than one?" Frank asked
"Yes there were lots of them. Tell me Cure Shiny, where are your partners?" Andrew asked
"Well to tell you the truth I don't have any partners. Its just me" Shiny said
"You've been fighting these monsters all by yourself?" Frank asked
"Yes, I've only been a precure for at least month" Shiny said
"I see so your a brand new Precure" Andrew said
"Yes, I am" Shiny said
"I recommend finding more partners. There's only so much you can do on your own" Andrew said
"Thank you but I don't want to put others in danger" Shiny said
Shiny then left the academy and went back to Luna Nova.
Akko lied awake at night for a little bit because she was thinking about who her partner would be and then went to sleep.
