Diana was concerned about the number of attacks that have been going on around Luna Nova lately. Sure they had Cure Shiny to protect them and while Diana didn't resent the Precure for all her help, she couldn't help but feel ashamed that they had to rely on someone else to protect them since they didn't have enough power to protect themselves.

Diana came back to her room and saw that Hannah and Barbara were there but this was one of the rare instances where these two have caught her off guard. They were currently dressing up in what looked like Cure Shiny's clothes. How and where they got it, she'll never know.

Both Hannah and Barbara could only stare at Diana when she entered the room.

"O-oh Diana, we thought you would be out later than this" Hannah said

"What...on earth are you two doing?" Diana asked

The two of them blushed and had to come clean.

"Ok we admit it. We've become super huge fans of Cure Shiny" Barbara said

"But can you blame us?! She's just so cool and beautiful. The way she fights is also amazing" Hannah said

Diana had a since Deja vu. This was exactly like when Akko was talking about Shiny Chariot the only difference here is that Diana actually respects the Precure.

"While I do appreciate that Cure Shiny is protecting everyone here I can't help but feel bad since she has to do all the fighting while we sit on the sidelines" Diana said

Her roommates looked at her before agreeing with her.

"I know what you mean. All we can do is take cover while Shiny has to fight the enemy all by herself" Hannah said

"It might be too much for her to handle on her own too. Remember how beat up she got when fighting Fanfir? What if she had to face more than one enemy?" Barbara asked

"We need to get stronger and have the power to fight back against them" Diana said

"That's easier said than done though" Barbara said

"Yeah, the precure are the only people that can defeat these beasts since their magic power is a lot stronger" Hannah said

Diana knew that they were right but she didn't want to admit it. She liked Cure Shiny, she really did, but she didn't want to rely on Shiny's power for every little attack.

Diana was out in the evening and was looking at the full moon lost in thought but she soon saw a figure fly by her in moonlight and it was Cure Shiny. Diana wondered what she was doing here. Was there another attack?

The star student decided to follow her. She got on her broom and followed her and they reached a lake.

She saw the precure practicing some magic by levitating the some water and shaping them like stars. Diana was wondering why she was doing this late in the night.

When Cure Shiny was done she turned around and gasped when she saw Diana there.

"Whoa! You scared me there" Shiny said

Diana's cheeks went red and apologized.

"I apologize I just happened to see you and wondered if there was an attack" Diana said

"Oh no, there's no attack. I was just patrolling to make sure nothing was unusual" Shiny said

That did make sense. After all, their protector would have to do patrols in order to keep everyone at Luna Nova safe.

"Something seems to be troubling you" Shiny said

Diana looked at her with surprise. How did she know that there was something troubling her?

"I...It's nothing" Diana said

Cure Shiny frowns at Diana's reply.

"That doesn't sound very convincing" Shiny said

Diana mentally cursed to herself because even she knew that it wasn't very convincing by the sound of her tone. She just sighed and told the Precure her troubles.

"Forgive me but I've been getting frustrated lately" Diana said

"What's been frustrating you?" Shiny asked

"I just want to say that I am grateful for all you have done for us, but at the same time its frustrating that I lack the power to deal with these events. Like the other day with Fanfir, I was hoping he would just give up and return the Sorcer's stone back to Luna Nova, I wasn't prepared for him to actually attack us. We got captured and were almost done for but then you came in and saved us. But then you got hurt fighting him and I really wanted to jump in and help you but I knew there was nothing I could do against him. You've gotten hurt and fought several enemies that have appeared throughout the school and yet all we can do is stand by and watch" Diana said

Shiny was surprised that the star student was having these kind of thoughts on her shoulders.

"There's no need to worry about me getting hurt. It's my job to protect the witches of this school. I get hurt fighting these monsters because I care about all of you and this school" Shiny said

"But Shiny, you might need a partner to help you. You can't expect to do everything by yourself" Diana said

"I know what you're saying but I don't want to drag anyone else into danger. I'm willing to fight the enemy on my own" Shiny said

Diana remained silent. It seemed that Shiny was carrying some weight of her own on her shoulders.

The next day Diana was paired up with Akko for an assignment. Diana had mixed feelings about Akko. She respected Akko's desire for magic but she didn't exactly like Akko's motivation to becoming a witch in the first place.

They were currently located in an underground cave looking for ingredients and Akko ended up picking out some stuff that ended up being poisonous. Sometimes Diana felt like she was being a babysitter for Akko but she held her tongue.

"You really are amazing, Diana" Akko said

"What do you mean by that?" Diana asked

"The way you study and how you can use magic effortlessly compared to me who ends up falling asleep in class and can't pay attention for more than one minute. I'll admit I was disappointed by how you learn magic here but I'm willing to learn magic to be just like Shiny Chariot" Akko said

"Why are you so fascinated by Shiny Chariot? She was just a stage performer" Diana said

"I know but her magic was so cool. I want to be like that too. I want to make people smile and impress them with magic. I understand that you view magic differently but I still want to be like her. The type of person that can not only spread magic throughout the world but also make people smile. That's the type person I want to be. That's the reason I get so angry when people bad mouth her. She was inspired me to study magic. So bad mouthing her is like bad mouthing me and my dreams" Akko said

Diana was speechless. She now understood why Akko wanted to be like her idol. She never stopped to ask her why until now.

Just as they were about to leave there was a low growl and both witches turned around to see that some dark power was manifesting and it formed into a dark dragon and it roared.

"Akko run!" Diana said

Both witches started to run and they made it outside but the dragon flew in front of them. Both of them casted some spells but the dragon merely shrugged it off and unleashed some dark flames on them but the two of them got on their brooms and flew out of the way. The dragon hit them with some fire and burned them slightly but their brooms were all burnt up and that meant they couldn't fly anymore.

Akko tried another spell but it didn't work and the dragon breathed some more fire and it ending up burning Akko's school wand. Diana tried to intervene but the dragon whipped her with its tail and knocked her against a tree.

"Diana!" Akko shouted

"Akko run!" Diana said

"But!" Akko said before being cut off

"This is no time to argue! You need to find Cure Shiny so she can stop this thing" Diana said

Akko couldn't bring herself to just leave Diana here by herself but she knew only the power of the precure could stop this thing but if she leaves and then comes back Diana might no longer be apart of this world.

She clenched her fist and made up her mind. It would mean exposing her identity as a precure to Diana but she didn't care. Saving her friend was more important than keep her identity a secret.

Diana saw that Akko was still standing there and was about to yell at her again to run but she stopped when she saw that the Japanese witch brought some sort of compact that's used for make up.

"Hang tight Diana" Akko said

Diana was wondering what she was doing but her question was soon answered when Akko said some magic words.

"Precure magical change"

Akko soon transformed into Cure Shiny again.

"A shining light that shines brightly through the darkness in this magical world, Cure Shiny!"

Diana's eyes widened with disbelief.

"Akko is...Cure Shiny?" Diana asked

When Diana thought back to all those times that Cure Shiny was present Akko was nowhere to be found. The young witch would only appear after Cure Shiny had left. Now it all made sense.

Shiny jumped up and came down and landed a kick on the dragon's head, causing it to roar in pain.

"Diana can you stand?" Shiny asked

Diana was so shocked by Akko's secret that she forgot she could move for a moment and managed to nod.

"Good, now get out of here while you still can" Shiny said

Now it was Akko who was telling Diana to flee. Just mere moments ago Diana was telling Akko to flee but now the roles have been reversed.

The dark dragon unleashed more fire but Shiny put up a shield to block it. It flew up into the air but Shiny was able to jump up high and punch its cheek causing it to roar in pain. She then kicked its jaw and quickly delivered another to its other cheek and knocked it out of the air and back onto the ground.

"Diana run now!" Shiny said

Dark magic started to surround the dragon and it was bigger and stronger. It shot a beam of dark energy at Shiny. She tried to use her shield but the dragon's increased power broke right through her shield and hit, sending her flying across the field.

"Shiny!" Diana said

A flew down and did a body slam on her but the dragon started to move up and it was revealed that Shiny lifting him up with all of her strength.

"I won't let you hurt anyone!" Shiny grunted

Diana could only watch from sidelines once again and was frustrated because she lacked the power she needed to stop this dark power.

Shiny screamed as she was hit but the dragon's tail but grabbed onto the tail and swung it around and let fly across the battlefield. The dark dragon did a charge attack but Shiny stopped it with her hands and grunted as she was slowly being pushed back by the dark dragon's power.

"Shiny, if only I could help you. I want to protect this world too and I want to protect it with you" Diana said

With Diana's resolve she heard a voice in her head that told her to say the magic words when a compact appeared out of her chest.

Diana looked up and then back at Shiny who was still fighting the dragon. The ace student nodded and started to change.

"Precure Magical Change"

Diana's hair straightened and then tied up into two pigtails. Her hair then changed color. It went from platinum blonde to pink. White flower hair clips appeared on each pigtail to hold it together A pale blue headband with a white flower appeared on her head. A pale blue choker with a white flower appeared around her neck A pale blue top with white frilled borders appeared and on the center of her chest was a pale blue ribbon and there was white on the center of the ribbon. White fingerless gloves with pink flower symbols appeared on her hands. A pale blue skirt with white frilled borders appeared on the bottom and a white ribbon appeared on the back. Pale blue and white boots appeared on her feet. Her outfit was two piece, leaving her midriff exposed. Pink lipstick appeared on her lips. She also had white flower earrings on her ears.

Diana then started to say a phrase before she could bring her thoughts together.

"The power of nature the flows eternally in this magically world, Cure Nature"

Nature looked at herself in awe and saw that she had become a precure. Shiny looked at Diana in awe and saw that she had become a precure too.

Nature decided to take action. She jumped up and performed an axel kick on the dragon's cheek and knocked it off balance. She landed next to Shiny's side

"Shiny are you okay?" Nature asked

"Y-yes thank you, Nature" Shiny said

Nature then glared at the dragon.

"How dare you hurt my friend foul beast. Prepared to face your punishment" Nature said

Nature charged up magical circles and began her attack.

"Precure: Flower Storm"

A huge twister of flowers appeared above the dragon and hit it with full force. Shiny decided to finish it off.

"Precure: Shining Arrow wave"

Shiny shot her arrow of light at the dark dragon and hit it with full force, making it disappear.

Shiny smiled at Diana, happy that she was able to become a precure with her.

"Diana you've become a precure" Shiny said

"I was tired of being on the sidelines and letting you fight all of these dangerous battles. You'll have me by your side from now on" Nature said as she extended her hand towards Shiny

Shiny shook her hand and smiled. The two made a promise to work together as partners from now on.
