Akko and Diana have been working together for a week and things started off great until Nature started to overthink things about strategy and tried to fight with grace however things haven't been going well for poor Nature and that left Shiny to clean up the mess on her own. Nature started to feel bad because she felt even more of a burden than she did when she was just watching on the sidelines. Nature and Shiny had different fighting styles and it didn't work well when put together.
They were currently fighting a shadow dinosaur that had the ability to breath fire and create strong gusts of wind by blowing. It was also capable of creating loud sounds by roaring loudly. The dinosaur looked like a T-rex but unlike the prehistoric dinosaur this one actually had longer arms and could be used to swipe and it also had great big jaws that it could use to chomp down on its opponents and it could also swipe opponents away with its long tail.
Shiny and Nature have been fighting it for awhile now and they were not in sync with each other at all. That was the main reason they were having such a difficult time defeating it.
The shadow roared and released a fireball but it was blocked by Shiny's shield. Nature rushed forward but the monster hit her with its claw and knocked her back. Nature flew back and hit Shiny in the process, sending them both flying back together.
"Don't just rush in like that!" Shiny said angrily
Nature fired back with some anger of her own.
"You should've moved out of the way! Actually you should've backed me up!" Nature said with anger
"You're supposed to be the smart one! Strategy is your thing and yet you rushed in there without a plan! I'm no strategist and yet even I knew that what you did was stupid and reckless" Shiny said
"Well then you come up with a plan then since you seem to know so much!" Nature fired back
The monster roared and made a swipe with its tail. Both cures were hit and knocked back. It charged at them with great speed. Shiny jumped and avoided it but Nature managed to stop its attack with her bare hands. Shiny jumped from a tree and was about to land a kick to its side but Nature did a German Supplex, throwing it behind her and this caused Shiny to miss her kick.
Ursula was watching this battle and frowned. Cure Nature was welcomed but soon everyone saw that they were struggling to get along with each other and didn't have any team work at all. Perhaps its because they've only known each other for a short amount of time that they haven't been able to become in sync with one another yet.
Nature was trying to think of a plan but she was just standing there trying to think and since she was a sitting duck that allowed the monster to hit with a swipe of its claw. Nature decided to use her attack instead.
"Precure: Nature's storm"
A green tornado came out of her hands and went straight towards the beast but the monster simply roared and destroyed her attack. She was shocked that her attacked was easily countered. The monster jumped and landed back down, causing an earthquake that threw Nature off balance. It charged at her but it was hit on the side by Shiny.
"Don't just freeze there!" Shiny said
"How am I supposed to react when my attack was cancelled?!" Nature fired back.
"Keep trying! You know that!" Shiny said back
The Dinosaur charged at them again and hit them both, sending them flying backwards. The monster unleashed a fireball at them but Shiny managed to come up with a counter attack.
"Precure: Sparkling bomb"
Shiny unleash and orb of light at the fireball and caused an explosion. Once the smoke was clear, both precure were gone. The monster sniffed around before wondering off.
Both cures changed back and glared at each other.
"Nice going Akko now the monster will freely roam the area causing destruction!" Diana said
"It's not my fault that you don't know how to fight!" Akko said
"At least I'm a better witch!" Diana fired back
"You're really going there?! Fine?! It seems that I was better off fighting alone then with you! You just get in the way!" Shiny said
They both glared at each other with pouts on their faces before sharply turning away.
"Hmph!" They both pouted
The monster was seemingly gone but all who had witnessed their scuffle were having doubts if they were capable of protecting them.
Barbara and Lotte were hanging out with each other since they liked to talk with each other about the night fall book series. That was when the topic of the precure became a topic of their conversation.
"Honestly I think Cure Nature is just getting in the way. Cure Shiny was doing just fine on her own until she showed up. Now all they do argue and take twice as long to defeat a monster" Barbara said
"But isn't Shiny at fault too?" Lotte asked
"No way! Shiny is trying to lead but Nature won't listen to a thing she says" Barbara said
"Speaking of that, it appears that Diana and Akko are in the middle of a fight right now" Lotte said
"I've noticed that they were quite distant from each other lately. They used to be close" Barbara said
"I wonder what happened to them that would cause them to avoid each other. I've noticed that they've been fighting a lot lately" Lotte said
"Maybe Diana realized that being friends with Akko is a waste of time since she's so much better than Akko is" Barbara said
"That's not true. Just because they have different skill levels doesn't mean that they can't get along with each other" Lotte said
It was back and forth between Lotte and Barbara. They decided to end their meeting early for today since they couldn't come to an agreement about the precure.
Amanda O'Neil had an entirely different view on the whole situation.
"Honestly those two just need to get along" Amanda said
"Maybe we should give them some food so that they can eat together" Jasminka said
"Jasminka, food is your solution to everything" Amanda said
Constanze nods in agreement.
"Eh, but your angry then food can calm you down" Jasminka said
Constanze uses a star bot to talk for her since she was practically a mute.
"That only applies to you, Jasminka" Constanze said
Akko and Diana suddenly met up with each other in the hallway and looked away from each other awkwardly. They had some time to think and realized that they had a different approach to a solution. Both of them were different people entirely and had different personalities and those different personalities can often clash with one another. They have tried to settle their differences but it only ends up with them having another argument. They have yet to find something that they can agree upon.
They were alone in the courtyard with each other and Diana decided to try and have a conversation with Akko.
"Hey Akko, can I ask you something?" Diana asked
The Japanese girl looked over towards the platinum blonde with curiosity.
"What?" Akko asked
"Back when you faced Fanfir, you said that people that truly enjoy magic chose to study here at Luna Nova. That it was because they loved magic with all their heart. Do you truly believe that?" Diana said
Akko didn't hesitate to answer.
"Of course I believe that. Everyone here at that school loves magic. Why else would they be studying here?" Akko asked
Diana remained silent and that's when Akko spoke up again.
"Everyone loves magic here, Diana, even you love it. You can't hide the fact that you love magic. You love it enough to study about it constantly. Wasn't it Shiny Chariot that motivated your love for magic" Akko asked
Diana looked at her and couldn't bring herself to lie to Akko.
"Yes, she did inspire me to study magic" Diana said
"Then I don't understand why you would shame her if she was the person that made you love magic in the first place. What changed you Diana?" Akko asked
The prodigy witch just sighed.
"Shiny Chariot was a great witch and showed her magic to others around the world and then she suddenly disappears without a trace. I later learned about the traditional ways on being witch and how to properly use magic. I looked back upon that very day I witnessed one of her shows and started to get angry at myself for loving the type magic that Shiny Chariot used to do. I first started to ask myself the question on why Chariot decided to vanish. I then convinced myself that it was because she was embarrassing herself on how she was using magic and chose to disappear out of embarrassment. That's why I called her a disgrace" Diana said
"You soon no longer believed that magic came from the heart" Akko said
Diana nodded.
"Yes, magic is a believing heart. I still remember it clearly and yet I refuse to follow in on that concept. But you still do follow that concept" Diana said
"You have a traditional way of thinking and move with grace. You perform things with grace as well and yet that's the very thing that's holding you back" Akko said
Diana turned at her with confusion.
"What are you talking about?" Diana asked
"Our fighting styles don't compliment each other at all. That's why we're not in sync with each other. You move with grace and I move with high energy. Both of us are completely different with one another and that's why we're clashing like this. We think too differently" Akko said
Diana thought about what was just said and realized that Akko was right. They were too different from each other and that's why they had sloppy teamwork. There had to be something that they could do that could make them a great team.
There was a roar in the distance and they saw that it was the same monster from last time and it was even bigger than last time. There was no doubt that it was stronger too. Both girls looked at each other and nodded. They transformed into precure forms and went out to fight it again.
"A Shining light that shines through the darkness in this magical world. Cure Shiny"
"The power of Nature that runs eternally in this magical world, Cure Nature"
The two of them shouted and posed together.
"We are the Magical Precure!" They said together
Both Cures were surprised they were in sync with their speech and pose. They soon realized that perhaps they could work as team and be in sync after all.
The witches saw the two precure again and were both relieved and worried at the same time. Things didn't go well the last time fought together and they were having doubts about them working together and believed that they worked better solo.
The dinosaur unleashed its fire breath at them and both of them jumped to avoid the attack. It swiped at them with its arms but they avoided those attacks as well. All they were doing was evading its attacks and made no attempts to fight back. Everyone was wondering what they were up to or if they had some sort of plan.
With Nature's grace and Shiny's high energy, the attacks thrown at them were easily avoided. They both actually studied each other as they moved and seemed to have a plan.
The dinosaur charged at them and Shiny jumped to avoid the attack while Nature blocked its charge like she did last time.
"That's what they did last time. It seems they still aren't in sync" Ursula commented
The headmistress of Luna Nova, Miranda Holbrooke, tried to ease the new teacher's worries.
"Now hold on, just keep watching and you'll see" Miranda said
Just like last like, Nature performed a German Supplex on the beast and sent it flying over her. Except this time Shiny was ready and jumped. She then performed an axel kick on its chest while it was still upside down in the air, sending it flying backwards even farther.
"Whoa did you see that?!" Amanda asked in excitement
"Those two are actually working together" Hannah said
The dinosaur got up and tried to swipe them with its tail but both cures jumped up to avoid it. They did a front flip in mid air before coming down at the monster with a double axel kick, landing directly on its head. They then jumped and both punched the monster's chest with their fists.
The monster used a giant fireball attack, but Shiny grabbed Nature and threw her in the air and jumped to the side to avoid the attack. Meanwhile Nature was spinning in the air like an ice skater does when performing a spinning jump. She flew straight at the monster and landed a kick on the side of it's head. Shiny then blitzed towards the shadow dinosaur and performed an uppercut on its jaw, making it stagger back. Nature grabbed its tail and started to spin it around before letting it go and sent it flying. She then bent down and put her hands together as Shiny was running towards her and the red cure stepped on the blue cure's hands. Nature then threw her as hard as she could. Shiny then landed a kick on the monster's chest, sending sailing down towards the ground.
All the witches started to cheer for them because they saw that they were in complete sync with each other. Some of the professors were shocked to see this because it had only been a day since the two had a fight with each other and failed to defeat the beast. Now it was the next day and they appeared to have made up like nothing had happened.
The monster charged at them and tried to bite them several times but they managed to avoid those massive jaws each and every time. It then tried to smash them with his claws but both cure blocked each claw with their hands and both of them threw the monster of their heads. They decided it was time to end this beast once and for all.
Nature went first with her attack.
"Precure: Flower shower"
A bunch of flowers appeared and unleashed pink beams and it hit the beast head on.
Shiny then went next.
"Precure: Starlight Shower"
A bunch stars appeared and unleashed red beams and hit the monster head on. The monster soon turned into black smoke and vanished.
"WE DID IT!" Shiny and Nature said together
Everyone cheered because both cures managed to work together to overcome their mighty foe. With those two around any monster that shows up will will be vaporized in an instant. However there was a question that were on the minds of the teachers at Luna Nova. Where were these monsters coming from and what was the dark power that was being used to create and power them up? The answer may come later down the line.
