Chapter 38: Zombizou
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I hope all of you are doing okay with all this buzz about the Corona Virus. I'm fine so I'll continue to bring you all chapters whenever I can. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
Outside the school, Marinette was running in when Sam ran up behind her.
"Hey Marinette." Sam said.
"Oh hey Sam, where were you?" Marinette asks.
"Just picking up some stuff." Sam said as they entered the locker rooms.
"What did you get Ms. Bustier for her birthday?" Juleka asks.
"I made her a scrapbook." Rose smiles as Sam and Marinette walked to Alya.
"I understand Marinette being late, but what's your story?" Alya asks.
"Had to finish some last-minute things." Sam said taking out his gift. "I got her a digital picture frame filled with pictures of all the things she's done for us."
"I painted her as a superhero because she's always there for us." Nathaniel said.
"I got her something for her breathing exercises she has us do." Mylene said.
"Mine was inspired by what she has us do at the beginning of every class." Rose smiles. "Isn't it great to start the day with a few kind words?"
"Wow compared to everyone else mine is going to be super lame." Marinette said.
"Oh come on, don't talk like that." Sam said.
"Yeah I bet your gift is great." Alya said.
"Come on Marinette, show us your gift." Adrien said.
"Me? Oh it's really nothing at all." Marinette opens it to reveal a small bag. "If we wish to change the world we must all learn to love each other. That's one of the first things Ms. Bustier taught us when all first came to school." Marinette explained as everyone but Chloe thought it was amazing. "I also got her a tube of her favorite lip balm."
"Come to think of it, Ms. Bustier is probably the reason we all get along so well." Alya said.
"I'm lucky I got her as my first teacher here." Sam said.
"Me too, what about you Chloe? What did you get Ms. Bustier?" Adrien asks looking at her but Chloe said nothing.
"Let me guess, nothing? Just like every year since kindergarten." Marinette assumes.
"It's not her fault, she's just not a fan of birthdays. She never remembers them, like her mom." Sabrina said.
"And I don't remember them needing to know that. Besides all that stuff is just ridiculous." Chloe mocks.
"This girl has no heart." Marinette said.
"I do so have a heart, daddy even said he could get me a second one." Chloe said when the bell rang.
"What's our first class again?" Ivan asks.
"Science class." Sam said as they all walked out. Marinette closed her locker but the door ended up rebounding and remained still open.
As Chloe was about to leave she noticed this and smirks.
"I have a gift for you, Marinette Dupain-Chang." Chloe said as Sabrina handed her a permanent marker.
As the school day went by, they all soon got their gifts and brought them to Ms. Bustier's class.
"Happy birthday." They all said giving her their gifts.
"You're all so sweet." Ms. Bustier smiles grabbing Marinette's gift first.
"Marinette made that one." Alya points out.
Marinette smiles as Ms. Bustier opens it but when a weird expression appears on her face Marinette walks over to see the quote was scribbled out and weird drawing was on it.
"I know you did this Chloe Bourgeois." Marinette glares.
"A 99.56% certainty." Max said.
"Not cool Chloe." Alya said.
"It's one thing to ruin our day which is basically your job, but seriously did you have to prank Ms. Bustier too?" Sam asks.
"Calm down, there's no need for you all to get upset on my birthday. This can be my new comsetics bag and I can think of you two whenever I use it." Ms. Bustier said.
"You're letting her off the hook?" Marinette asks not believing her ears.
"That girl is worst than Hawk Moth." Alya said.
"At least half the city has gotten akumatized because of her." Alix said.
"Ain't that the truth." Sam mumbles speaking from all the battles he's fought.
"Class please calm down, the classroom is not a place for insults and blaming. Marinette can you please come with me?" Ms. Bustier asks.
"What?" Marinette asks shocked.
"Alya I'm counting on you to make sure things run smoothly while I'm gone." Ms. Bustier said as they left causing Marinette to growl.
At his base, Hawk Moth saw everything.
"That feeling of injustice, what could be worse than being punished for someone else's wrong doing?" Hawk Moth asks turning a butterfly into an akuma. "Fly away my little akuma, and evilise her."
As the akuma flew to the school, Marinette was in the hall with Ms. Bustier.
"Ms Bustier, this is so not fair! It was Chloe pulling another Chloe and I'm the one getting in trouble?" Marinette whines as Ms. Bustier giggles.
"Of course you're not in trouble, don't worry. As class representative I want you to set an example for your classmates. Don't give into anger instead try and forgive Chloe." Ms. Bustier suggests causing the akuma to stop just before heading towards Marinette.
"Ugh the emotions have weakened. Get closer akuma." Hawk Moth orders.
"I don't get it, Chloe is the meanest person I've ever known." Marinette said.
"Come on, there are much worse people in Paris than Chloe Bourgeois. I'm sure people like Chloe are capable of great things, the problem is they only think about themselves and we can't force them to change, but maybe we can help by setting a good example. That's why Marinettes are so important because they have a lot to give. I'm counting on you." Ms. Bustier said causing Marinette to smile.
"Yes, Ms. Bustier." Marinette said when the akuma flew down causing Ms. Bustier to gasp.
"An akuma! No get away! I won't let you evilise one of my students!" Ms. Bustier said trying to swat it away while putting Marinette behind her.
"There it is, the fear that harm may come to her precious protégé. Now!" Hawk Moth orders as the akuma entered Ms. Bustier's lip balm.
"Don't give up! Think positive thoughts!" Marinette said.
"Hello miss." Hawk Moth said telepathically.
"I am not gonna listen to you! You can't force me to do evil!" Ms. Bustier said.
"Who said anything about evil? There's already so much hate in the world. I want to help you unite everyone in the world with love at last." Hawk Moth said.
"Ms. Bustier you gotta fight it." Marinette said before a grin appears on her face causing Marinette to gasp and run off knowing what was about to happen.
"Zombizou, I'm giving you the power to spread love and compassion. Thanks to you the whole world will be one big embrace in return you must bring me the Miraculous of Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir." Hawk Moth said.
"I won't stop until everyone on earth learns to love." Ms. Bustier picks up the lip balm and it turns her lips black. "Starting with Chloe Bourgeois." She declared before transforming.
In the locker room, Marinette runs in. "I won't let Hawk Moth do this to the best teacher in the world! Tikki, Spots on!" Marientte said as her earrings glow and she transforms into Ladybug.
Walking into the classroom, a grey skinned woman with grey hair and a black dress danced up onto the front desk. This was Zombizou.
Taking out her lipstick she puts some on her lips. "I've got great news for you students. From now on everyone's gonna hug and kiss and feel the love. Even you Chloe." Zombizou said pointing at her.
Blowing her a kiss a set of black lips flew towards Chloe but she pull Sabrina in front causing a lip mark to appear on her head.
"What is that?" Sabrina gasps.
Zombizou went to put more lipstick on when Ladybug threw her yoyo around her arm. "Please Ms. Bustier you gotta snap out of it!"
"I'm not Ms. Bustier anymore! I am Zombizou!" She declares yanking Ladybug into the class.
"Everyone out!" Adrien said as everyone scrambled to run when Sam grabs Alya and yanks her into a janitor's closet.
"Sam what are you doing? We need to run." Alya said.
"The class does not us. I told you I had to pick something up on my way here." Sam said as he points to his jacket pocket.
Alya looks down to see Trixx pop his head out and wave. "Good to see you Alya." Trixx smiles.
"I am definitely feeling the love right now." Alya smiles as Sam puts the necklace around her neck.
"Let's do this. Faang, Teeth Out!" Sam said as his bracelet glowed and he transformed into Silver Claw.
"Trixx, Let's Pounce!" Alya said as her necklace glowed and she transformed into Rena Rouge.
As the class ran down the stairs, Sabrina was bringing up the rear.
"It's suddenly gotten very warm in here. I don't know what's happening." Sabrina pants.
"What is wrong with you?" Chloe asks as the kiss mark on Sabrina caused her eyes to change purple.
"Chloe." Sabrina smiles as she moved in and tried to kiss her.
"Ugh get away from me!" Chloe said pushing her away.
"Look out!" Adrien said as Sabrina attacked Mylene and kissed her.
"Mylene!" Ivan gasps as Mylene's eyes turned purple too. "Are you alright?"
"Kissy." Mylene said.
"They're contagious! Don't let them touch you!" Adrien said as they all ran for their lives.
"Keep going I'll hold them back!" Ivan said before both girls kissed him.
In the classroom, Ladybug was trying to fight off Zombizou when Ivan, Mylene and Sabrina ran in blocking her from Zombizou.
"I'll leave her to you my pretties." Zombizou said before going around the school turning everyone into her lovesick zombies.
The three zombies were about to attack when two figures dropped down on them.
"What is going on at this place?" Ladybug smiles to Silver Claw and Rena Rouge were her saviors.
"Boy am I glad to see you two." Ladybug said taping Mylene, Ivan and Sabrina to the desk. "That should hold them."
"We better try and find anyone who isn't a lovesick zombie." Silver Claw said as they snuck around checking the basement, cafeteria and classes, but everyone seemed to be a zombie.
Sneaking into the locker room, they all took out their weapons.
"Is anyone here?" Ladybug asks as someone came out of the lockers.
"Ladybug!" Chloe said running to her but Ladybug judo flips Chloe onto her back. "Oops sorry, reflex."
"Ouch." Silver Claw smirks.
"Not gonna lie, this day is having some good moments." Rena Rouge giggles as everyone came out of hiding happy to see the three heroes.
"Is everyone okay?" Silver Claw asks.
"Wait Adrien still hasn't come out of his locker." Nino points as Ladybug opens it.
"Adrien?" Ladybug asks.
"Kissy poo." Adrien said in a trance-like state forcing Ladybug to slam the locker in his face as Chloe screamed in horror.
"He must've gotten kissed before you guys went into hiding." Rena Rogue said when they heard banging on the door.
"We need to get to the roof." Ladybug said as the three heroes got everyone to safety before the zombies came in.
Inside the locker, Plagg popped out onto Adrien's shoulder.
"Admit it, you were just acting like that to try and get a kiss out of Ladybug." Plagg teases.
"No way, how else would we be able to work under the radar?" Adrien asks. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Cat Noir runs out of the locker past the zombies. "Sorry no time for autographs today!"
Up on the roof, Rena Rouge and Silver Claw next to Ladybug as they tried to see what was going on.
"Hey guys I'm all for French greetings but lets hold back on the kisses for now." Cat Noir said landing nearby.
"I'm glad you three managed to show up, check this out." Ladybug said showing them the news.
"Hordes of kissing zombies are swarming throughout Paris. We now go live to Mayor Bourgeois." Nadia said.
"We advise all Parisians to stay indoors at this time." Andre said when a zombified Roger attacked him.
"Mr. Mayor? Mr. Mayor?" Nadia asks concerned.
"Daddy?" Chloe asks pushing Cat Noir out of the way so she could see.
"Looks like we're having some technical issues." Nadia said when a kiss hit her and Zombizou walked onto the screen.
"I took care of your father, Chloe. Show yourself. Then Ladybug, Cat Noir, Silver Claw and even you Rena Rouge, you're next. Unless of course my sweeties get a hold of you first because soon the whole city will be hot on your heels!" Zombizou declares.
"Chloe, always Chloe! You only think about yourself!" Alix growls.
"Why don't we just give them what they want." Nino glares.
"Is it my fault I'm better than all of you?" Chloe asks.
"How do you guys bring yourself to save her so many times?" Rena Rouge asks not liking the fact that she has to help her.
"She does not make it easy." Silver Claw sighs.
"Sorry guys but Chloe doesn't deserve this any more than you. Besides we need her as bait to lure Zombizou when the time is right." Ladybug said.
"Uh thanks." Chloe said not liking that last part.
"They're coming!" Rose points to the zombies scrambling to climb up the roof.
"We gotta get them outta here." Rena Rouge said when Ladybug noticed a bus.
"Any of you know how to drive?" Ladybug asks.
"You should know the answer to that, milady. I can do anything." Cat Noir said.
"Then you three get down there." Ladybug said as Cat Noir jumped down onto the bus and extended his staff so it reached them before throwing Ladybug his belt.
"Be ready to catch them." Silver Claw said.
"Kim, Max you can go first." Chloe said wanting it to be tested.
Going to Rose first, Ladybug helped her, Juleka, Alix and Nino into the bus when the zombies found another way up just as Kim was about to come down.
"Oh no!" Ladybug threw her yoyo blocking the ones sneaking in from the school while a few had managed to climb up onto the roof.
Max looks to see them heading for Chloe and got in front of them taking the kisses.
"Max!" Kim gasps before grabbing Chloe and giving her the belt.
"Play the hero as much as you like Kim you won't be getting a kiss out of me." Chloe said.
"Just go before I change my mind." Kim said as she slid down and a zombie kissed him.
"Slow down Chloe!" Cat Noir as she slid past them and clung to a street sign.
"Hello, help me." Chloe said.
"We gotta save Chloe. Wow, that's something I never thought I'd ever say." Rena Rouge said jumping off the bus. "Hey over here!" She said waving her hands getting the zombies attention when Rose opened the doors and ran out.
"Rose no!" Juleka said.
"I have to help her." Rose said running over as Chloe fell.
"Great I twisted my ankle because you weren't fast enough." Chloe glares as Rose tried to get her safety when a zombie grabbed her leg.
"Hang on Rose." Silver Claw said jumping off the bus and threw the zombie off her.
"Thanks Silver Claw." Rose said as he helped her and Chloe into the bus with Rena Rouge right behind them.
"We gotta go now." Ladybug said as she and Cat Noir came in through the roof and Cat Noir went to the controls but the bus was moving off and on.
"I thought you said you knew how to drive." Silver Claw said.
"I've mastered every car and racetrack in Extreme Races 3 but there are no buses." Cat Noir admits.
In the back, Rose was panting heavily.
"Yeah just a close call is all. Rose said but no one noticed a kiss mark on her leg when that zombie grabbed her.
"Alright Ladybug, any ideas?" Rena Rouge asks.
"We need to get Chloe to the top of the Eiffel Tower. There will be less places for Zombizou and less areas for her zombies to attack us." Ladybug said.
"Not to mention less places for us to hide too." Cat Noir said.
"It's our only hope." Ladybug said when Juleka let out a scream as Rose kissed her revealing she was a zombie now.
"Oh no I wasn't fast enough!" Silver Claw gasps as Alix blocks Rose from getting to Chloe.
"I totally trust you Ladybug." Alix said.
"Everyone needs to learn to stop invading my personal space." Chloe said as everyone glares at her.
From the rooftops, Zombizou was watching them.
"Remember our deal, Zombizou." Hawk Moth reminds.
"No one can escape my kisses." Zombizou said heading to the Eiffel Tower.
Racing out Ladybug, Cat Noir, Nino and Chloe ran inside. As Silver Claw and Rena Rouge were about to follow they saw the bottom was completely surrounded.
"You guys go on ahead! We'll keep them away!" Rena Rouge said as Nino pressed the elevator button.
"No we need you guys!" Nino said distracted as three zombies jumped out of the elevator and kissed him.
Seeing they had no choice, Ladybug, Cat Noir and Chloe kept moving.
Silver Claw and Rena Rouge were backed to the door.
"Rena Rouge I don't know if we can fight them all off." Silver Claw said nervously when something snapped inside her.
"Oh no. I am not gonna let you get turned into a zombie." Rena Rouge said pulling him into a kiss on the lips surprising him. "See that? That was a real kiss and I'm the only one allowed to kiss you, mister. So man up and let's send these lovesick zombies packing!"
A serious expression formed on Silver Claw's face hearing that. "Moon Call!" Silver Claw's bracelet glows as he released a sonic howl blowing all the zombies away from them. "I love you so much right now." Silver Claw smiles.
"These guys want Chloe? I'll give her Chloe. Mirage!" Rena Rouge's necklace glows as she plays a melody causing a dozen Chloes to appear causing all the zombies to chase after them.
"You sly vixen." Silver Claw smirks.
"I know." Rena Rouge said as she drew her flute and Silver took a fighting stance. "Now let's make sure no one else gets past us."
"Right." Silver Claw nods.
As the elevator was climbing up, Ladybug felt bad leaving Silver Claw and Rena Rouge behind.
"Don't worry Bugaboo, Silver Claw and Rena Rouge can take care of themselves plus when you undo everything, they'll be fine." Cat Noir said trying to reassure her.
"Now only the best remain." Chloe said the elevator reached the top floor.
"Straight ahead! Gustave Eiffel's office!" Ladybug said as they ran out to see a decent amount of zombies on the top floor.
"Ladybug catch!" Cat Noir said throwing Chloe to Ladybug as half a dozen zombies surround him.
Ladybug gets Chloe inside before running back out to try and help Cat Noir, but when Chloe saw the wax sculpture of Gustav Eiffel she jumped thinking it was real person at first.
Running out Ladybug gasps to see Cat Noir holding back the zombies with multiple kiss marks all over his face. "Cat Noir!"
"I'll just stay here and chill, milady. If we're gonna end up kissing then I'd rather do it after you save us all." Cat Noir said.
"No. I need you guys." Ladybug said.
"You're the only one who can fix all this Silver Claw, Rena Rouge and I know that. No arguing." Cat Noir said as she ran back inside before he was taken over by the kiss.
Down below Rena Rouge and Silver Claw were running up the stairs while fighting off the zombies.
"I really hope Ladybug stops Zombizou soon." Silver Claw said as the last Chloe illusion disappeared.
"Less talking more running." Rena Rouge said they ran to the top.
"It's down to you and me." Ladybug said walking into the office to see Chloe hiding under a desk. "Chloe?"
"At least I won't get in your way now, good luck." Chloe said when they heard Zombizou laughing from outside.
"Hand over Chloe and your Miraculous, Ladybug and I might let you witness the final triumph of love." Zombizou laughs with her zombies right outside the office.
"Victory has never been so close." Hawk Moth grins liking what he was seeing.
"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug throws her yoyo into the air and from it a bottle of makeup remover appeared.
"Makeup remover? How are you gonna save my life with that?" Chloe asks as Ladybug looks around trying to get an idea.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir said breaking in from the roof.
"Cat Noir." Ladybug smiles only to see he was under the spell. Cat Noir leaps at her but Ladybug dodges before taking the scarf off the wax statue before putting on the makeup remover. "Don't worry kitty, you'll get your kisses soon, but first I have a lucky charm I need to use."
"I'm sorry." Chloe said getting her attention. "This is all my fault."
"Cool but maybe we can talk later." Ladybug said as Cat Noir leaped at her, but at the last second, Chloe got in the way and took the kiss for her.
"Save us Ladybug." Chloe said as Ladybug leaped onto the roof with Zombizou right behind her.
"You're all alone now Ladybug. Accept defeat and give me your Miraculous." Zombizou said when Ladybug noticed Silver Claw and Rena Rouge were right below Zombizou causing her to smile.
"This is not true love." Ladybug ties the scarf around her yoyo and throws it at Zombizou which ends up wiping the lipstick off her face.
Zombizou tried to blow a kiss but couldn't. Reaching for her pocket she took out the lipstick.
"Now!" Ladybug said as Silver Claw and Rena Rouge tackled Zombizou from behind.
"What?! How?!" Zombizou gasps as Silver Claw handed Ladybug the lipstick.
"Sorry Zombizou but when you're in love with someone you won't accept a kiss from anyone else." Rena Rouge said as Ladybug broke it releasing the akuma.
"No more evil doing for you little akuma, time to de-evilise!" Ladybug said capturing the akuma and turning it back into a butterfly. "Bye-bye littler butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug throws the makeup remover into the air and frees everyone from Zombizou's spell.
At his base, Hawk Moth was angry at another loss.
"Ladybug, Cat Noir, Silver Claw, Rena Rouge, if Zombizou is right and if love does always conquer then someday my most cherished wish will come true." Hawk Moth vows.
Back at the Eiffel Tower, Zombizou turns back into Ms. Bustier.
"Pound it." The four heroes said.
"Ladybug? Cat Noir? Silver Claw? Rena Rouge? What happened? Oh no the akuma took control of me. I let my negative emotions get the better of me. How terrible. I'm terrible." Ms. Bustier admits.
"That's not true. Hawk Moth is the one to blame." Ladybug said.
"But I hurt a lot of people." Ms. Bustier said.
"No. I did because I forgot your birthday again and when I saw how everyone had prepared a gift for you I totally lost it because I wanted to give you one myself. I'm sorry." Chloe apologizes.
Smiling Ms. Bustier walks over and hugs her. "Thank you, Chloe, this was the best gift you could possibly give me."
"Wow Chloe actually admitted something." Rena Rouge said as all their Miraculous started to beep.
"Guess that's our cue." Silver Claw said as all four heroes ran off.
The next day, in class Chloe noticed Sam's digital picture frame gift was on Ms. Bustier's desk. Clicking it she flipped through it to see everyone even her with Ms. Bustier and a soft smile formed on her face when Sam and Alya walked in causing her to move away.
"Ugh yesterday was so insane." Alya groans.
"Yeah, honestly if it wasn't for you I would have been zombified. You really kept your cool." Sam said.
"Thanks just wish Chloe was a little nicer." Alya said when Marinette walks by. "What do you think Marinette? Does Chloe have a heart?"
"It's in there, we just need to set a positive example and hope she learns." Marinette said as Chloe snuck a present onto Ms. Bustier's desk before Ms. Bustier walked in and greeted the class.
