Chapter 48: Queen Wasp
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I'm glad to see so many of you liked the idea of Silver Claw being able to unify. Needless to say things like that are gonna be interesting now that he can do that. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
On the news we see Nadja's story on the events of Style Queen.
"Coming to you live from the Grand Palais Museum. I'm Nadja Chamack. Gabriel Agraste's fashion show was recently delayed after the Queen of Fashion, Audrey Bourgeois was akumatized. But everything is back on schedule thanks to Ladybug and Silver Claw who saved the day usual. The fashion show can finally begin." Nadja said as it switched to Adrien back on the catwalk.
Zooming out we see Gabriel was watching this on his phone before he turned it off and looks to see his wife lying in a glass coffin.
"I don't want to break our promise, but I can't keep putting our son in danger. Style Queen was supposed to be my masterpiece… but even she failed. I feel like I've done all I possibly could, you know? I'll never be able to fulfill my wish without Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous and even if I got Silver Claw's it would be useless without the fox Miraculous. Forgive me, Emillie. I'm giving you up Nooroo." Gabriel removes his handkerchief to reveal a brooch underneath and when he pulls it off his kwami disappeared.
Putting the brooch in a small box, Gabriel walks out and sits in a chair trying to figure out what to do.
Noticing the painful look on his face Natalie walks over and tries to comfort him with a hug from behind.
At the Grand Palais, Adrien was walking down the runway with everyone watching.
"Scoop. The hat Adrien Agreste is wearing was made by my BFF, Marinette! Anything you'd like to say during my livestream?" Alya asks pointing her phone at Marinette.
As Marinette nervously waves the camera everyone gasps as someone walks in.
"Whoa." Sam said surprised.
Turning around Adrien gasps in shock to see his father standing across from him on the catwalk.
"Gabriel Agreste." Nick said as he moved the spotlight so it focused on Garbiel and Adrien.
Slowly Gabriel walks towards Adrien before hugging him close surprising Adrien before he hugs his father back causing all the cameras. To go off like crazy everyone wanting a picture of this.
"Well Alya looks like you got another scoop." Sam said.
"And that means we'll be seeing your hat in every single photo and news broadcast!" Alya said excited.
When the fashion show ended Nadja was already reporting on it while Adrien and Gabriel walked over to meet Audrey, Chloe and Mayor Bourgeois.
"My dear Audrey, I heard about the unforgivable misfortune you had to endure." Gabriel said as Audrey held out her hand and he kissed it.
"I am still quite overwhelmed." Audrey admits.
"I want you to know that I've fired the person who was responsible for the misunderstanding. Only one row in the house is befitting to Audrey Bourgeois and that's the first." Gabriel assures.
"Let's not overdo it, Gabriel." She smirks.
"Did you enjoy the show?" Gabriel asks as Sam, Marinette, Alya, Sabine, Nick and Tom walked over.
"So-so." Audrey said before taking Adrien's hat and examining it. "This hat is not a Gabriel Agreste. Are you responsible?" Audrey asks looking to Marinette.
"Uhm." Marinette looks to her parents who give her an approving nod.
"You can do it girl." Alya whispers as Sam gives her the thumbs up.
"Stand proud." Adrien whispers.
"I-I'm the one who created it." Marinette smiles nervously.
"Marinette won a fashion design competition." Gabriel explains.
Audrey lifts up her glasses to get a better look while Chloe smiles smugly expecting Marinette to get bashed. "It's the most…exceptional thing I've ever seen! You're a visionary, Marinette! Glitter's had its day. Feathers are the trend of tomorrow! I haven't felt this much emotion since…you." Audrey said looking at Gabriel.
"She does have talent." Gabriel admits.
"You wanna be a fashion designer, right?" Audrey asks looking at Marinette.
"Uh…yes ma'am." Marinette nods as Audrey put the hat back on Adrien.
"Then come to New York with me! I'll make you the biggest name in fashion! I'm sure you'll even upstage Gabriel." Audrey said.
"I'll be able to model for you." Adrien said.
"Hey I still have a few friends in New York from our company I bet they would love to help you out." Nick said.
"This is so awesome Marinette." Alya said.
"We'll be here for you honey, no matter what you decide." Sabine assures.
"My helicopter will be leaving for the airport at 8 p.m. tonight." Audrey said.
"Wow Marinette talk about a huge opportunity." Sam said.
"Isn't this amazing Chloe?" Adrien asks.
Looking over they saw Chloe was seething with rage. "It's... It's ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! I've never been to New York with you and you're taking Marinette Dupain-Chang!?" Chloe snaps.
"I'm taking her because she's exceptional Claudette…uh Chloe." Audrey suggests.
"I'm exceptional too!" Chloe said.
"The only exceptional thing about you, my dear… is your mother." Audrey said.
"Ouch." Sam winces.
"Yikes." Alya said as Marinette and Adrien shared an uneasy look.
"Audrey dear." Mayor Bourgeois tries to comfort Chloe but she pushes him away.
"Ugh! I'll show you how exceptional I can be!" Chloe said taking out a Miraculous Box and opens it creating a glowing light shocking everyone as Pollen appears from it.
"How may I please you, my Queen?" Pollen asks.
"What is that thing?" Nick gasps.
As Chloe takes out the hair clip Alya gasps seeing it was the same Miraculous Ladybug tried to offer her back at the Eiffel Tower.
"No way." Alya said as Chloe took off her sunglasses and put on the clip.
"Chloe what are you doing?" Adrien asks.
"Pollen, Buzz On!" Chloe said as her hair clip glowed and when Pollen entered Chloe got a black mask, a yellow and black suit and a spinning top.
Leaping up everyone saw her look down at them.
"I am Chloe Bourgois and from now on I'll be your new superhero, Queen Bee! We'll soon see if you think Dupain-Cheng is still more exceptional than moi! Spinning top!" Throwing her top Queen Bee swings out of the museum.
"What is happening to our beloved daughter?" Mayor Bourgeois gasps.
"She always was such a showoff." Audrey said before turning to Marinette. "See you tonight, Marinette. I'll meet you at my helicopter." Audrey said as she and her husband leave.
"Un-bee-lievable, Paris' got a new self-proclaimed superhero—" Nadja said as Gabriel took out his phone.
At Master Fu's place, Master Fu and Wayzz were watching the news.
"Whose not-so-secret identity is none other than Chloe Bourgois, daughter of Fashion Queen Audrey Bourgeois." Nadja finishes.
"How could Marinette have given the Miraculous to that Chloe girl?" Wayzz asks.
"There is no way she would have given it to her. But I know whatever transpired, she will set things right." Fu said.
Back at the museum, Natalie and the Gorilla are waiting for Gabriel and Adrien.
"Thank you all for coming. We better get home Adrien." Gabriel said as he and his son walked out.
"It's probably not a good idea to stick around with Chloe Bourgeois thinking she's the bee's knees." Tom said.
"Yeah Sam I'm gonna make sure everything gets taken down. Alya mind making sure Sam gets back safe." Nick asks.
"Sure Mr. Noctis. Uh Marnette we'll catch up with you guys in a bit I wanna show Sam some footage from the show." Alya said.
"I'm sure Ladybug, Cat Noir and Silver Claw will fix this." Sabine said as they all left leaving Sam and Alya alone.
"Oh man this is not good." Sam said instantly panicking.
"I can't believe Chloe got her hands on the Miraculous that Ladybug was gonna give me." Alya panics.
"Wait what?" Sam asks turning to her.
"Well you see during the whole Style Queen incident Ladybug tried to give me that Miraculous to help her defeat Style Queen but I hesitated and Style Queen turned me into gold so I couldn't use it. Ladybug must have dropped in when I pushed her out of the way." Alya explains.
"Oh man how could Ladybug mess up like this?" Sam asks.
"Wait why didn't you take it?" Faang asks popping out of Sam's pocket.
"Well because I'm Rena Rouge, I'm your partner and I wouldn't be a very good one if I ditched you for a new Miraculous would I?" Alya asks.
"No I guess not." Sam smiles.
"Still, what are we gonna do? Thanks to this small error we have a Miraculous in possible one of the worst hands in Paris." Faang asks.
"Yeah no kidding, she already blew her whole secret identity thing on her first go." Sam said as they walked out.
"Chloe does not get the point of being a hero." Alya said.
"We should try and catch up with Marinette and her family. If Chloe is trying to one-up her Marinette could be in trouble." Faang said.
"Good call Faang. Can you tell my dad you walked with me to the train and then something came up?" Sam asks.
"You bet." Alya said as Sam leans in and kisses her on the lips.
"It might have been a mistake to give Chloe a Miraculous but you definitely weren't." Sam smiles before running off. "Hey Marinette wait up!"
As he ran to catch up with Marinette's family Sam ran past Adrien's car as it drove off.
"I hope Chloe doesn't do anything foolish." Adrien said.
"I'm sure Ladybug, Cat Noir and Silver Claw will deal with her." Gabriel said.
At Place de La Concorde, Queen Bee ran along the Obelisk before leaping to the top of the ferris wheel but saw no danger anywhere.
"There's nothing exciting going on in this city, no one to save." Queen Bee said when she noticed the Metro entrance. "If want it done right, you gotta do it yourself." Twisting her top in half Queen Bee opens it to reveal a phone. "Nadja Chamack? Chloe Bourgeois here. I mean, Queen Bee. Come ASAP; I'm about to rescue the passengers of a metro that's in peril. You've got to film this." Queen Bee said before swinging into action.
On the metro, Sam was with Marinette in her family.
"Sam you're originally from America. Ever been to New York?" Tom asks.
"Oh yeah it's an amazing city full of people, great plays and amazing food. I bet if you opened a bakery there you would do pretty well." Sam nods.
"Hey that's not a bad idea. We'll open a bakery in New York and introduce our Dupain-Cheng pastries to the Americans." Tom said.
"Are you sure, Tom? You've always been afraid of flying." Sabine asks.
"I'd fly to the moon and open a bakery for my daughter if I had to." Tom said.
"Man Marinette, everything is going your way." Sam said.
"Yeah it is." Marinette smiles before briefly stepping away and hiding her bag up to her. "What should I do Tikki? It's like my dream come true. I can go to New York and become a real fashion designer."
"Who will protect Paris from Hawk Moth if you leave?" Tikki asks.
"Cat Noir, Silver Claw, Rena Rouge—" Marinette lists.
"Only Ladybug can capture akumas. I wouldn't be able to come to New York with you." Tikki said.
"Nothing will come between my daughter and her dreams." Tom said when they heard footsteps.
"Hey what's that?" Sam asks.
On the outside of the Metro, Queen Bee was running alongside it before entering the driver's room.
"Venom!" Queen Bee's top grows in size to mimic a bee stinger and jabs the train operator in the arm causing him to fall over holding the throttle causing the metro to speed up causing everyone inside to scream.
"Passengers, have no fear. Watch Queen Bee in action. You can thank me later." Queen Bee said appearing on the TV screens.
"Who is she?"
"A new hero?"
Queen Bee leaps in front of the metro and tries to stop it herself but it didn't show any signs of slowing down.
"What is she doing?" Sam asks trying to hold on.
"Is she gonna save us or not?"
"She's not going to pull it off." Marinette said.
In his lair, Gabriel walks in and opens up the box letting Nooroo out.
"Master?" Nooroo said surprised.
"I still have one chance, Nooroo. All is not lost. I have a unique opportunity to akumatize someone with a Miraculous. A superhero turned supervillain can only be… exceptional!" Gabriel declares shocking Nooroo. "Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!" Gabriel said as Nooroo went into the brooch and he transformed into Hawk Moth.
In Adrien's room he ran in and let Plagg out.
"I hope we're not too late! Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien said as his ring glowed and he transformed into Cat Noir.
On the train, Tom rammed into the door only to see the driver was down.
"Uh uh." Tom said not sure what to do as he pushed random buttons.
"You two stay back here." Sabine said as she ran ahead.
"I'm gonna check how people are doing in the back compartments." Sam said running to the gap and closed the blinds so no one could see.
"Boy mother and daughter in one day?" Faang said.
"Tell me about it. Faang, Teeth Out!" Sam said as his bracelet glows and he transformed into Silver Claw.
Seeing this was her best chance Marinette hid behind the seats.
"Time to bring Chloe down to earth. Tikki, Spots On!" Marinette said as her earrings glowed and she turned into Ladybug.
At a nearby stop, Nadja and her cameraman saw Cat Noir waiting nearby.
"Cat Noir? What are you doing here?" Nadja asks.
"Just waiting for the next train." Cat Noir said when it came rushing in and he leaped into action.
Running along the roof, Silver Claw saw Ladybug and Cat Noir running alongside him.
"Let me guess you guys saw our new Miraculous Ally on the news?" Silver Claw assumes pretending he wasn't there.
"Yep." Ladybug said as they stopped at the front of the train to see Queen Bee struggling.
"Need a helping paw?" Cat Noir asks.
"Stop staring. Can't you see you're distracting me?" Queen Bee said.
"This is not a playground! Cat Noir, Silver Claw, I'll slow it down as much as I can; you guys stop it!" Ladybug said.
Running to the back Ladybug jumps off and throws her yoyo around the back of the train before tying it to the rail causing the train to slow down.
Reaching the next station Cat Noir threw his staff which extended to block the train while Silver Claw grabbed Queen Bee and pulls her up so she didn't get smooshed allowing the train to come to a complete stop.
"Alright everyone please exit the train in a single file line no pushing and no shoving." Silver Claw said.
"Thanks for your cooperation, people. Please, keep on being pawsome and evacuate the station calmly." Cat Noir said as everyone got off.
Jumping into the driver's station Ladybug checked in on her parents and the driver.
"Ladybug thank you so much!" Sabine said.
"You're welcome, ma…madam and sir! I'll take care of the driver." Ladybug said when the yellow spot on the driver disappeared allowing him to move again.
Outside, Nadja and her cameraman were filming this.
"You're welcome. It was nothing. I was merely—" Before Queen Bee could finish Ladybug ran out.
"Queen Bee! This was your doing!" Ladybug said.
"Oh, Ladybug, you're too kind! This was teamwork. Oh, how amazing is this⁈ We're a team now!" Queen Bee said excited.
"You're the one who paralyzed the metro driver, aren't you? You used your power to create this situation just to make yourself look good." Ladybug accuses.
"Who cares? We saved them, didn't we?" Queen Bee shrugs.
"Talk about irresponsible." Silver Claw said when Nadja reveals Audrey's face on her tablet.
"Queen Bee, or rather, Chloe Bourgeois, we're on the air with your mother, Audrey Bourgeois. Audrey, do you have anything to say, live, on TV?" Nadja asks.
"What? Regarding my daughter's ineptitude? I think it speaks for itself, doesn't it?" Audrey said.
"Chloe give me back your Miraculous." Ladybug said holding out her hand.
"Finders keepers, losers wheepers." Queen Bee said.
"Wait you lost a Miraculous?" Cat Noir gasps.
"No offense Ladybug but that's really irresponsible." Silver Claw said causing Ladybug to flinch.
Acting quickly she led them away. "Listen I thought Silver Claw was taken out and you were a no show. I thought I was gonna have to battle Style Queen all by myself." Ladybug whispers.
"Hey you can't pin this one on us. I became Dark Claw just so we could have a fighting chance." Silver Claw said.
"You merged with my kwami?" Cat Noir asks surprised.
"Oh yeah, by the way, doing a Cataclysm, not easy." Silver Claw said turning to Cat Noir.
"Only someone as awesome as me can handle my Miraculous." Cat Noir smirks as Queen Bee tried to slip away.
"Hey Queen Bee uh Chloe wait!" Ladybug said as Queen Bee ran out with the three heroes right behind her.
Leaping out of the subway they didn't see Queen Bee anywhere.
"Where could she have gone?" Cat Noir asks.
"She's probably gone home. I'll pay her a visit and get the Miraculous back!" Ladybug said.
"Since we know her identity it's an easy one." Silver Claw said.
"I'll come with you!" Cat Noir said as the three heroes swing away.
On the balcony outside Chloe's room, Queen Bee pants heavily as her Miraculous started to beep.
In his base, Hawk Moth saw everything.
"It was bound to happen. Superpowers aren't child's play, my dear Chloe Bourgeois." Holding out his hand Hawk Moth turns a butterfly into an akum. "Fly away my little Akuma and evilize this fallen hero!" Hawk Moth said as the akum flies out the window.
At the balcony, the akuma enters the Miraculous.
"Queen Wasp, I am Hawk Moth. Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir don't want you as their friend, so you will be their most powerful enemy. Nobody has managed it yet, but you will defeat them, because you are exceptional. In return you must seize their Miraculous." Hawk Moth said telepathically.
"You can count on me Hawk Moth. I'll teach them to respect me." Queen Bee said as she transformed.
Soon the three heroes, arrived at Chloe's balcony and walked in.
"Chloe!" Ladybug calls out.
"Queen Wasp!" Cat Noir calls out but they got no answer.
"I don't think she's here. Let's keep looking." Silver Claw said as they exited the room but when they reached the lobby, they saw everyone including Chloe's parents standing completely still with weird bite marks on them.
"What's that, an insect bite?" Cat Noir asks examining them.
"Must be her Miraculous power." Silver Claw said.
"That's impossible, she can only use her special power once, like my Lucky Charm. She should have transformed back." Ladybug said when they hear a buzzing noise.
Looking up they saw a large number of wasps flying towards them in an arrow formation.
"Look out!" Silver Claw said as they leaped out of the way only to see Queen Bee but now her face was yellow and most of her suit was black.
"Your reign is over, Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir! I don't even care if you don't give me your Miraculous; my wasps will paralyze you and I'll simply take them myself!" Queen Wasp declares.
"Nice work, Queen Wasp. You truly are exceptional! I knew it!" Hawk Moth grins.
"Wasps Venom!" Queen Wasp said as the wasps flew in.
Moving quickly the three heroes ran out of the hotel trying not to get stung before leaping onto another rooftop.
"Hawk Moth must've akumatized her while she was still Queen Bee." Ladybug realized.
"That would mean the akuma has to be in the Miracuous. Her hair clip." Silver Claw said.
"That makes sense, but Miraculous are indestructible. We will need your Cataclysm to release it." Ladybug said looking to Cat Noir.
"You know I'm all yours, M'Lady. We just have to find out how to capture it without getting stung." Cat Noir said when Queen Wasp flew in with a bunch of wasps below her feet allowing her to fly.
"A ladybug doesn't stand a chance against the queen of wasps!" Queen Wasp said as the wasps lift two cars and thrown them.
Acting quickly they jumped out of the way and as one car fell towards civilians Ladybug used her yoyo to catch it before it hit allowing the people to escape.
Just as wasps flew in Silver Claw yanks Ladybug out of the way so she wouldn't get stung.
"Whatever you do don't stop moving." Silver Claw said as they ran around trying to avoid the wasps.
Growling Cat Noir leaps at Queen Wasp to try and stop her but she grabs his staff with ease.
"Put those claws away Kitty!" Queen Wasp said throwing him into Ladybug and Silver Claw making the three heroes fall back.
As Nadja pulls up she saw Queen Wasp laughing.
"So, who's exceptional now, then? Them or me?!" Queen Wasp asks.
"To claim total victory, you must take their Miraculous, Queen Wasp." Hawk Moth reminds.
"I was just having a bit of fun, Hawk Moth before delivering the final sting!" Queen Wasp declares as all her wasps flew towards them.
Gasping the three heroes scramble to escape.
"Jump!" Ladybug said as they jumped into the river stopping the wasps from following them.
"You can't escape my wasps! Bring Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir to me! Dispersal!" Queen Wasp said as her wasps flew all over Paris to search for the three heroes.
Meanwhile, Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir were using their staff, yoyo and sword as oxygen masks before they resurfaced and climbed aboard Juleka's houseboat.
"What, you think I'm a catfish?" Cat Noir asks.
"I don't know, but I do know we're gonna have to come up with another plan. Lucky Charm!" Ladybug said throwing her yoyo into the air and a snorkel appears. "A snorkel."
"Guess that means we're going back in the water again." Silver Claw said.
"Your Lucky Charm has a great sense of humor: at least you won't drown." Cat Noir said.
"That's it. Wasps don't like water." Ladybug said as she looked around and saw quite a few objects they could use. "We may have to get a little dirty boys."
"That's ironic, we just took a bath." Cat Noir smirks.
"What do we have to do?" Silver Claw asks.
"When I give the signal you blast us an opening." Ladybug said.
At the Le Grand Paris Hotel, the three heroes were moving through the streets with the garbage bins over them so they wouldn't get stunk and none of the wasps seemed to notice.
"Where are they?" Queen Wasp asks when the elevator dings. Turning around she saw the three garbage bins. "Ugh that's disgusting!"
"Now Silver Claw!" Ladybug said as they tossed the bins off and the wasps flew in.
"Moon Call!" Silver Claw said as he took a deep breath and released a sonic howl blowing away all the wasps.
"You'll never get it back!" Queen Wasps said when Cat Noir leaps at her holding onto an inflatable duck, the hose and the snorkel.
Wrapping her yoyo around Queen Wasp's foot Ladybug and Silver Claw leap towards the river pulling Queen Wasp in with their combined strength.
Tying the hose to the duck attaching the snorkel to it Cat Noir makes a makeshift oxygen mask for Queen Wasp as they yank her underwater to fight.
Swimming in, Ladybug attacks but Queen Wasp blocks it only for Silver Claw to swim in and kick her making Queen Wasp let go.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir said as dark energy filled his hand.
As Ladybug and Silver Claw held Queen Wasp down Cat Noir touched the Miraculous destroying it before turning Queen Wasp into Queen Bee and then into Chloe.
Frowning Chloe grabs the pieces of the Miraculous before the wasps disappear and the akuma was released.
Leaping out of the water Ladybug chases it while Cat Noir and Silver Claw land ashore with Chloe.
"No more evil doing for you little akuma. Time to de-evilise!" Ladybug said capturing the akuma and turning it back into a butterfly. "Bye-Bye little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" Throwing the snorkel into the air it undoes all the damage and even restores the Bee Miraculous.
"Pound it!" The three heroes said as they fist bump just as Nadja's van pulls up.
"I have to get the Miraculous back Chloe." Ladybug said.
"Give me a second chance, please!" Chloe begs as Nadja walks out with her cameraman and Audrey Bourgeois on her tablet.
"Audrey Bourgeois, tell us live how you feel about what just happened." Nadja said.
"According to me, Chloe just clearly demonstrated that there is nothing exceptional about her." Audrey said.
"Oh lighten up lady. If you weren't so critical of everything maybe the girl wouldn't have needed to act out." Silver Claw said causing her to gasp. "Instead of knocking your daughter down try being nice to her."
Walking over Cat Noir put a hand on Chloe's shoulder. "I know that you did the things you did to impress your mother."
"Anyone can make mistakes, even a superhero. What matters is how you fix them. I personally made one by losing that Miraculous. Don't make the mistake of not giving it back. Act like a hero." Ladybug smiles.
"And show everyone how exceptional you can be." Cat Noir smiles.
"Come on Chloe, make the right choice." Silver Claw smiles.
Slowly Chloe stood up and handed the Bee Miraculous back to Ladybug.
"You made the right choice." Silver Claw said.
"Ladybug? Silver Claw? Cat Noir…I'm sorry." Chloe said.
Smiling the trio leaped away.
At the helicopter platform, Audrey was waiting for Marinette.
"Time to go ma'am." The pilot said.
"I give her the chance of a lifetime and she dares to be late?! Unacceptable, utterly unacceptable!" Audrey said.
"Should we leave?" The pilot asks.
"No give it one more minute." Audrey said.
Riding the elevator up, Tikki looks to Marinette.
"Are you really okay with this, Marinette?" Tikki asks.
"I thought about it long and hard, Tikki. I'm sure I'm making the right decision." Marinette said as she exits the elevator and knocks on the door.
"Go away!" Chloe said on the other side.
"That was the plan, but no." Marinette said as Chloe opens the door.
"Dupain-Chang?" Chloe said surprised.
Soon Marinette arrives at the platform to see Audrey waiting for her.
"Well, well. It's about time. We can take off, now." Audrey said.
"I won't be coming to New York with you." Marinette said surprising her. "I still have so many things to do here. All the people I love are here: my parents, my friends."
"You're making a mistake, Marinette." Audrey said.
"I think you're wrong. A huge part of your life is here in Paris, too." Marinette said walking out of the way to reveal Chloe and Butler Jean holding a ton of Chloe's bags.
"Chlorine uh Chloe?" Audrey said surprised.
There was a brief uncomfortable silence between the mother and daughter before Chloe made the first move.
"Why don't you love me, Mom?" Chloe asks.
"But uh…of course I love you." Audrey said nervously.
Narrowing her eyes Marinette saw she would have to get this moving herself.
"You're also wrong about your daughter not being exceptional. In fact, Chloe is exceptionally mean. She's the worst person I've ever met. She may be more heinous, pompous and selfish than you. Compared to both of you, even a rock seems more capable of love." Marinette said.
"How dare you?!" Chloe and Audrey snap at her before looking to each other surprised.
"See? You're both much more alike than you think." Marinette smirks before walking away.
"Are you as mean as this… Maria says?" Audrey asks curiously.
"Well, I don't have one single friend in school except for Sabrina, but she doesn't realize that I'm just using her. My favorite hobby is giving Jean-Louis a hard time." Chloe said whispering that last part.
"You mean Jean-Yves." Audrey corrects.
"Who cares what his name is?" Chloe said looking to Jean. "Jean-thingy, put my luggage in there! No, not like that?! Take them out and stack them from smallest to the biggest!" Chloe said as he struggled to put her bags in causing Audrey to look at her impressed.
"I think I may have judged you unfairly, Chloe. Martha uh Marinette's right, you are exceptional, just like me. I've decided I'm staying in Paris with you." Audrey said hugging her daughter.
Smiling Chloe happily hugs back.
"So we're not going to the airport?" The pilot asks.
"You're fired!" Audrey and Chloe said.
In the basement at Gabriel's house, Gabriel was looking at Emilie's coffin.
"Ladybug, Silver Claw and Cat Noir made a mistake today, and there will be others. Then, we'll finally be together once again my love." Gabriel vows.
Exiting the basement, he sees Natalie waiting for him in his office.
"You said you were gonna stop." Natalie reminds.
"I can't give up, Nathalie. I miss her too much." Gabriel admits.
"I understand sir." Natalie said before leaving.
At Marinette's house, Marinette was with Alya and her parents while Sam was on Alya's phone talking through video chat.
"Are you sure that you won't regret this, Marinette?" Tom asks.
"Yeah I mean isn't this your dream?" Sam asks.
"It is but New York isn't going anywhere. Paris is my city. Our city. Besides, everyone I love is here." Marinette said.
"Yeah and one guy in particular." Alya said causing Marinette to giggle.
"And my best friends." Marinette said looking at her and Sam.
"Well we're happy you're here Marinette. Bye." Sam said hanging up.
In his room, Sam looks to Faang who was sitting by him.
"She couldn't leave. Ladybug is the only one to capture akumas so either she had to stay or Tikki would have to go to someone else." Faang explains.
"Yikes that's unfortunate." Sam said sitting back. "Hey Faang, that unification thing I did…that's why Hawk Moth needs them both isn't it?"
Sighing Faang nods his head. "Yes he wants to Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous so he can unify them and use their power."
"When I became Dark Claw, I felt so much power it was unbelievable." Sam said looking at his bracelet.
"That's the risk of combining Miraculous they can give you so much power it can overwhelm you unless you have a good control." Faang said.
"Yikes." Sam said.
"Sam I know the thought of combining Miraculous to make you stronger sounds great, but I want you to promise me that unless the situation is dire you won't try and make a habit of this." Faang asks.
"Alright Faang, I promise. Unification is for emergencies only." Sam said.
"Thank you." Faang smiles before eating some jerky. "So you're originally from America, you think Marinette would have liked it there?" Faang asks.
"Well it would be interesting. We had quite a few heroes in America too but they were a little…different from us." Sam said.
