"I don't think pebble is a very fair descriptor of you, Asta," Dane said as Ko left his sword, reforming beside him for Dane to scratch his head. "Most pebbles don't have the ability to nullify magic."
Ko vanished as Dane knelt, placing his hand to the ground before diamond swarmed from the ground, encasing Mars's upper body entirely and binding him tightly. Then, he formed a harness for his sword out of steel he made from the ground and turning his ruined traveling cloak into leather with steel cables inside for durability. He slung the sword behind him, and Noelle raised an eyebrow.
"What, are you turning into an Asta fanboy?" Noelle asked. "Your magic can produce anything, but you're keeping a huge sword?"
"If I ever need to use my spirits like Ko to help me fight, it's easier and more effective to have them inhabit objects to make magic equipment," Dane shrugged. "Doesn't mean I'm going to use it a whole lot."
Noelle shook her head.
They all turned to the door, where Asta and Klaus were arguing about something ridiculous, only for Luck to interrupt them that Asta should be able to cut through the door. A moment later, they were inside, and everyone cheered excitedly. There was a mountain of gold, numerous treasure chests, gilded weapons and crowns, priceless gemstones, and all manner of vases. Dane grinned widely, picking up a pair of sacks of gold coins, tossing them to Luck, who grinned, catching them. As it did, Dane held out his hand, a shimmering, green spirit that looked like a ball with a face on one side appearing.
"Hey buddy," Dane smiled. "Mind holding some stuff for me?"
"Sure thing!" the spirit smiled in a high, cheery voice.
Then, it opened its mouth wide enough that it could have fit around Dane's whole body, and Dane began to scoop armful of treasure into its mouth.
"Whoa!" Asta said. "How much can it hold?"
"I dunno," Dane shrugged. "Never really tested that."
Asta, Noelle, and Luck began to help stuff treasure into the spirit's mouth, all of the treasure dropping into a throat that definitely shouldn't have belonged inside of a spirit that was only the size of Dane's head. After a moment, Dane paused, lifting a sword with a gilded hilt and a black blade with the sides decorated by elegant, curving lines like ivy, or vines. He hummed thoughtfully, then tossed it into the spirit's mouth as well. Asta and Klaus began to argue at one point, but they were all interrupted as a brilliant, green light began to shine from Yuno, who was holding a scroll. They all turned to look, staring at it in confusion.
"What's going on, Yuno?" Klaus asked, he and the third Golden Dawn member walking over to him. "What was that light?"
"I don't know," Yuno admitted.
"You shouldn't have touched that," Klaus said. "Now put it back where it belongs."
Yuno complied, and Dane shook his head, returning to scooping treasure into his spirit. However, after a moment, he stopped, holding a dagger with a slightly curved blade and an oppositely curved hilt made entirely out of a clear, colorless crystal, one which could almost pass for being glass, with black cloth wrapped around the hilt for a grip.
"What is this?" Dane frowned.
"Oh, wow!" Dane's spirit said. "That's a magic dagger! It's abilities change dependent on the magic it's imbued with, but right now, it's empty. "It'd be perfect to use with us spirits!"
"Sounds great," Dane smiled, turning a piece of an ancient cloak that had begun to rot with age into a scabbard and belt for it. "How're you doing on capacity?"
"Oh, I can take a whole lot more!" the spirit said.
"Great," Dane smiled.
"Open wide!" Luck called out.
The spirit once again stretched its mouth wide, and Luck flew over it with his lightning boots, dropping a pair of treasure chests into its mouth. However, just as he did, there was a pulse of magic as Klaus yelped in surprise. Dane glanced over, seeing that Mars's Grimoire was gone, then spun toward the door just as Luck shouted a warning. However, as Mars, once again encased in his Heavy Armored Titan, exploded through the door, encasing the entire floor of the room in crystals to trap everyone, Dane's Grimoire snapped open, shining excitedly once again. The sea of bloodlust didn't accompany it, this time, but the air of danger did. All of the crystal around Dane flowed together, forming a pack of crystal wolves, seamless but able to move all the same.
"So, you have two magic attributes, huh?" Dane asked, eyeing the flames dancing around Mars, healing him. "I'd wager the flames aren't your natural attribute, much like my spirits are only mine because they chose to be."
"Good guess," Mars said. "Now you die."
"I don't think so," Dane said, clapping his hands. "Nue!"
All of the crystal wolves around him spiraled together, fusing into a massive, monstrous body consisting of a serpent in place of a tail, a tiger's bodies, and a baboon's face. Then, the body erupted in a blaze of dark purple flames. Nue shrieked in rage, charging, and launched itself at Mars, only for Mars's Titan to backhand it, knocking it aside. However, it landed on its feet and its serpent tail lunged, coiling around the Titan before contracting, crushing it. Mars landed on his feet, only to form a cloud of the curved swords, all of them spinning in blurs and scattering around the room. One of them slashed Noelle up the front, hurling her away just before she could try to extinguish the flames around Mars. Asta roared in rage, drawing his sword from his Grimoire and charging, dozens of the blades rushing to meet him. Dane swore, running to Noelle and staring down at her wound. It was deep, bleeding profusely, and fatal. He swallowed hard and knelt.
"Can you help her?" the redhead asked.
"I don't know," Dane admitted. "I've never tried before. I have a spirit who can heal, but it's not fast enough for this. I'll have to..." his mother and father flashed before his eyes. "Dammit! I don't know if I can-"
"Hey!" the redhead said urgently, kneeling across from him. "If you can help, please try!"
"If I'm wrong, I'll kill her!" Dane argued as Nue struggled to catch Mars, only for him to finally form a smaller version of his massive sword and decapitate Nue, not harming the spirit itself but rendering its temporary body useless.
"She'll die if you don't!" the redhead said.
Dane swore harshly, slamming his hands into the ground and forming a dome around the three of them from his diamond metal. Then, he pressed his hands together before taking a steadying breath and pressing them over her wound. Instantly, her skin began to writhe, breaking apart only to flow toward the opposite side of the wound. It took only a few seconds, but it felt like hours with Noelle shrieking in agony and Dane's fear of accidentally killing her. Finally, it was finished, and Noelle lost consciousness again. He pressed his ear to her chest, listening for a heartbeat. Then, he sat back, sighing and nodding.
"She'll live," Dane said, just as the dome was ripped upward by another Titan. "You won't!"
The ground around him and his allies burst, massive, diamond metal fists exploding into Mars's titan rapidly, forcing it back rapidly.
"Only those who are strong will survive," Mars chanted, almost seeming to be in a trance. "The weak deserve death."
Dane yelled in frustration, sending out a dragon to coil around Mars's Titan, but something had changed. The Titan's arms rose, smashing the dragon, then smashed the oncoming fists with a punch. Dane growled in irritation. It wasn't possible. His diamond metal was stronger, harder, and less brittle. It should have been superior. It had been able to obliterate Mars's crystals before.
"Only those who are strong will survive," Mars chanted again, stomping toward them again. "The weak deserve death."
"Get Noelle out of here!" Dane growled, standing. "I'll hold him off."
"Be careful!" the redhead said, lifting Noelle into her arms.
Before they could flee, however, a storm of the same small, spinning blades formed and flooded toward them. Dane swore, sending out a wave of diamond metal fists to block them, only for the blades to smash straight through them. He turned, launching himself after them with a stone pillar, shoving them aside. He braced for pain, for death. And then, Asta reappeared, a new sword sweeping around and smashing through the swords with ease, clearing them all. Everyone stared at the sword in shock as Asta raised it over his head.
"Leave them alone!" Asta snarled. "Your new opponent...IS RIGHT HERE!"
He charged, fury on his face. The new sword was smaller, and while not light by any means, it was vastly lighter than his last, allowing him to slash it with only one hand, rapidly fending off the spinning blades Mars sent at him. Asta slashed him up the front, carving a gash into Mars's shoulder, but Mars's flames rushed to heal the wound as a punch slammed into Asta's sword, hurling him away. Dane growled in irritation, stepping up beside Asta.
"Nue," Dane growled, purple flames bursting into life along his sword. "Since my usual magic isn't working, I'll have to use this, too. I'll support you."
"Why are you just sitting there, insects?" Noelle asked weakly.
"You're awake!" Asta gasped.
"Listen to me," Noelle said. "I am royalty, Asta. And you are the first commoner I've accepted. Now get moving. And don't you dare give up until you beat him. Understand?"
Asta stared at her just as his sword began to shine. A channel along the sides and an aura around the blade shone a brilliant white, the channel bearing a pair of arms like a cross near the end, while a trio of small, four-point stars shone near the base of the blade to either side of the channel. Asta grinned widely, turning to face Mars again.
"Yeah!" Asta grinned. "I'll bring this guy down, and I'll get one or two hits in for you while I'm at it!"
"Give up!" Mars snarled. "You can't win! I live to destroy the weak!"
"Yes, but we're not weak!" Dane snarled, lunging into a sprint, Asta just behind him.
"You're not gonna destroy me!" Asta shouted. "I may not have any magic power, but what I do have are my friends!"
Dane dropped, slamming a hand into the ground as Mars threw a punch. Once again, the diamond metal fists he created failed to break through Mars's crystal, but they did slow the punch enough that Dane was able to reach the arm in time to slash it at the bicep, Nue's raw power allowing him to smash through the arm entirely, obliterating it from the shoulder to where the elbow should be. Then, Asta leapt at Mars as his Titan was, once again, off-balanced by a wave of diamond metal fists exploding into the remaining arm, halting its punch but shattering. Asta slashed, not having reached Mars, only for an arc of water-based magic to smash into the Titan, separating it for a second before reconnecting.
"You think that's enough to defeat me!?" Mars demanded, forming a shield of crystals only for Asta to slash again, a second arc smash through the shield and connect with Mars directly.
The Titan crashed to the ground, and everyone stared in shock. That had definitely been magic, but Asta shouldn't have any. All eyes turned to Noelle. Had he borrowed magic from her? Dane's eyes returned to the sword as the magic faded from it.
"I don't really know how, but...I did it," Asta said, then sucked in a choked gasp, looking down at the chunk of crystal blade extending from his abdomen. "I'm...dead."
He fell forward, crashing to the ground.
"Asta!" Noelle shrieked.
Dane turned to move to help Asta, only for the redhead to kneel beside him. Instantly, she chanted a spell Dane couldn't hear and plants spread over her, forming a dress over her clothes with a pair of foliage wings spreading from her back. Green-tinted healing magic filled the air around them.
"Asta!" Klaus shouted. "Open up your eyes, brat! Where did all that arrogance go!?"
"You can't die before we fight!" Luck shouted.
"Try to hold on!" the redhead called to him. "You can do it! Do you hear me? You're not alone!"
Dane turned as Mars began to rise once again. "I...I don't need anyone. As strong as I am, I will never need anyone! Those who don't have power are weak, and the weak die!"
Dane stood, holding his sword out to his side, Nue's flames still roaring along his blade.
"Give up!" Mars roared. "You're a pathetic, helpless little child! You never stood a chance of defeating me!"
His Titan raised its hand, his massive sword forming in its hand, but Dane walked forward calmly, his gaze cold and radiating blood lust.
"No matter how many times we crush you, you just keep coming," Dane snarled. "You're like a filthy cockroach!"
"Get out of my way!" Mars roared, slashing for Asta and Dane both. "Now die!"
Dane leapt off of the ground, roaring in effort as he slashed. He wouldn't be able to beat the sword, but he could deflect it. His sword would break, but it could be remade. And when he deflected the massive blade, he could use it. Except, he couldn't. Because before he got the chance, the sword exploded, Mars's Titan exploded apart, and Mars exploded into the wall at the end of a trail of destruction from Yuno, who was suddenly free of the crystal. Dane blinked in surprise, landing back on the ground and staring at Yuno. He had no idea what that had been, he hadn't even seen the spell, and yet it had clearly been Yuno.
"What happened?" Klaus asked. "Is it over? Did Yuno finish it?"
"What the Hell was that?" Dane asked, staring at Yuno, who looked stunned.
Finally, he released Nue, the purple flames fading from his sword as his Grimoire closed and returned to its pouch. All around the room, the crystals that remained from the battle were fading, and Dane slipped his sword back into its harness on his back. He turned, walking back to the others and knelt beside Asta. He could tell at a glance that the redhead was running low on magic power, so he ripped the chunk of blade out of Asta, then used his own magic to seal the wound, able to manage it easier this time, after succeeding with Noelle.
"I'm jealous of your magic," the redhead said.
"Don't be," Dane said. "My first use killed my parents and caused a lifetime of trauma that led to me being a psychopath with murderous impulses. There's nothing about my magic you should be jealous of." He looked around at the rest of the treasure and held out his hand. "Goro."
The ball spirit that had been swallowing treasure before reappeared, looking around. "Wow. Looks like it was a tough fight after all, huh?"
"Yeah," Dane nodded. "Let's get the rest of this stuff while we have a minute."
As if on cue, the room began to shake as the ceiling began to come apart, collapsing. Dane groaned, placing his hands down. In a wave starting from him, his magic spread through the room, seemingly doing nothing to the floor before rolling up the walls to the ceiling before rolling across it, solidifying the ceiling and stopping the collapse.
"I'm sick of this dungeon," Dane said. "Someone who can move help me gather this treasure. That probably won't hold."
Everyone began to help, with the exception of Noelle telling the redhead, Mimosa, to keep healing Asta. They all quickly began to gather treasure and throw it into Goro's mouth, but true to Dane's expectations, his temporary fix began to break up. He did it again, but it held less time, then less again the third use.
"Fourth time's only going to buy us a couple minutes!" Dane warned as he solidified the ceiling the third time as Luck and Klause tossed a treasure chest into Goro's mouth together.
"Then it's time to go!" Klaus said.
"Celestial Wind Ark!" Yuno shouted, forming a tornado for them to ride on. Dane grabbed Asta as the others all jumped on, but as Dane arrived, Asta looked to the side.
"You...You've got to...help him, too," Asta said.
"Not a fucking chance," Dane growled.
"What are you saying, Asta?" Klaus asked. "Have you forgotten he's been trying to kill us?"
"We were sent here..." he grunted in pain, "sent to...to protect-"
"Oh for fuck's sake," Dane growled, dropping to the floor just in time to re-solidify the ceiling again. "Just go! I'll catch up with the prisoner!"
Yuno nodded, taking off instantly, and Dane sprinted over to Mars. He reached up to his sword as his impulses roared, but Ko appeared over him, staring into Dane's eyes.
"Oh, come on, Ko!" Dane groaned. "Fine! Shoo!"
Ko vanished and Dane extended his hand. "Fei."
An enormous, white dragon formed at his side and Dane grudgingly throw Mars's limp form over its back just behind its horns before jumping up behind it. He held onto its horns, and it pushed off of the ground, its long, serpentine, wingless body writhing through the air like a water serpent through water. It raced through the dungeon after the others, following a trail of destruction the others had left for him to mark their way, and within a couple of minutes, they burst out of the entrance less than ten seconds before the entire dungeon collapsed. Dane glanced down, seeing another of the Diamond Kingdom's Wizards sitting beside the exit to the dungeon with a vehicle made of thick black smoke, a pile of treasure inside of the back half of it. He had Fei land beside them and tossed Mars unceremoniously to the ground.
"Consider yourself lucky that he's breathing," Dane grumbled, then gripped Fei's horns again.
Fei lifted off and turned, flying away from them all again, heading back toward the capital where the others would have gone. Just as he found the others, however, Noelle was crossing her arms in front of her ripped shirt, which bared an inappropriate amount of her torso and cleavage, and leaping into the air only to stomp both feet onto Asta's groin, her higher foot inadvertently ending up on his wound, rendering him unconscious.
"Whoops," Luck smiled. "He's dead."
"What'd I miss?" Dane asked, dropping to the ground and releasing Fei, who vanished instantly.
"Are you okay!?" Mimosa gasped, running over to Asta.
"Oh no!" Noelle shrieked. "What'd I do! I'm sorry!"
"Please wake up!" Mimosa shrieked.
"He's fine," Dane sighed. "The pain just knocked him out. I take it he's the one who broke the news to you that you're wearing a more revealing outfit than Vanessa, now?"
"How dare you!" Noelle shrieked, firing a massive sphere of water at Dane, who leaned out of the way, avoiding the perfectly-aimed strike.
"Hey, good aim," Dane grinned. "But you shouldn't attack the person who saved your life."
"Yeah, well, your healing magic hurt!" Noelle snapped.
"Healing magic, nothing," Dane said. "I had to break down the molecules in your skin, then stitch it back together the same way I make weapons or things from the ground. It's kind of like welding, or cauterizing your skin."
"Well, it hurt!" Noelle snapped, then hesitated. "But...thank you."
"You're welcome," Dane said. "Now, let's get home."
He summoned Fei again, and everyone piled on, Asta in front of Dane and everyone else lined up behind him, each holding the person in front of them. While it wasn't the most stable, they were able to hang on as it raced across the sky back to the capital.
"Sounds like you might have gained a little bit of control over your impulses," Vanessa said as she refilled their wine glasses, both ignoring the others all arguing, minus Asta who'd been asleep the last three days and Noelle, who was checking on him every hour on the hour, even at night.
"I don't know about that," Dane shrugged, sipping his wine. "I just finally had to resort to my Grimoire. Big fucking help that it was, considering it just upped my magic power but left the abilities about the same and even those weren't enough."
"Well, maybe there's more to the Grimoire deeper in," Vanessa suggested.
"I doubt it, but maybe," Dane shrugged, then drained his glass, refilling it with the last of the bottle. "Shit. Gotta get a new bottle."
Vanessa sighed. "Alright. Let's go."
Dane nodded, walking away from the room with Vanessa, heading to the wine cellar beneath the headquarters. However, before they could reach the wine rack, Vanessa pushed Dane sideways onto a spare bed she apparently kept set up down there in case she passed out on the way to get more wine. However, as he landed on the mattress, Vanessa straddled his hips, grinning down at him.
"I think I should reward you for all your hard work on that mission," Vanessa smiled, her lips hovering barely an inch from his. "If you want."
In place of an answer, he reached up, capturing her lips and rolling, pinning her to the bed as he gave her what she wanted. Within seconds, his shirt and her bra decorating the floor, his hands kneading her breasts as she ground up against him, moaning into the kiss. He took a few minutes to adequately worship her breasts before moving lower, taking off her panties on the way. Vanessa's head fell back as she moaned loudly, hands tangling in his hair. Dane grinned, devouring her dripping snatch, eventually adding his fingers to the mix. Within minutes, Vanessa arched off the bed, moaning deeply as she came undone. Then, as soon as she had settled and before Dane had the chance to realize she was moving, she'd reversed their positions, kissing him hungrily and moaning at her own taste as her hands quickly freed him of his pants. She lifted up, guiding him into her, then moaned as she sank down onto him.
"I'll admit, I wasn't expecting you to be quite so big," Vanessa grinned.
"I'm not that big," Dane said. "Average at best."
Vanessa laughed. "Honey, average is between five and six. You've got several inches more than average."
Dane shrugged, and Vanessa laughed before beginning to move her hips, bouncing and rocking atop him and moaning as he filled her over and over with each repetition. Dane thrust up into her in time with her drops, and Vanessa began to ride him faster, her moans quickly increasing in volume. However, when Dane groaned out a warning, she lifted up and off of him, only to immediately take him into her mouth and bob her head rapidly, finishing him within seconds and taking care to swallow every drop.
She purred appreciatively, only to gasp in surprise as Dane rolled her over and hilted his still-hard dick back inside of her. Vanessa moaned loudly, then again as he began to spear into her roughly over and over, her legs wrapping around his waist as he lay forward. Her lips met his in a sloppy, frenzied kiss, and her hands wrapped around behind him, clutching at his shoulders. Within a few minutes, she broke, bucking and shuddering beneath him, only for him to continue plowing into her through her orgasm, making her stay hypersensitive. As a result, within a couple of minutes of the first orgasm ending, he had fucked her into another, this time slowing and easing her back down.
"Wow," Vanessa panted. "Those prostitutes...really...taught you well."
"Thanks," Dane smiled. "I try."
"How come...you didn't...finish again?" Vanessa asked.
"Oh, I can usually only finish once," Dane said. "And it's usually kind of a sad round, since it doesn't last long. But after that, I can get hard again, but can't finish again, so the second round is entirely for my partner."
Vanessa hummed appreciatively again, nodding. "We should get cleaned up and get our wine."
Dane nodded in agreement, and they both quickly used a spare washroom that she also kept in the basement to get cleaned up, then got dressed again before heading back upstairs.
