40. If She Doesn't Wake Up or Get Better

Time Period: A Flashback

Date: 11-30-2000

Place: Brenda's hospital recovery room

Situation: Post Maisie's birth

Brenda's p.o.v

"Maisie is beautiful" my neighbor Cathleen compliments my newborn daughter. I look down at my daughter who is sleeping in my arms. Tears come to my eyes immediately. "Maze is my miracle rainbow baby" I cry. "She keeps on closing her eyes. She must be sleepy instead of hungry and thirsty" Cathleen observes. "OH my sweet precious baby" I swoon over Maisie. "This is not normal. I am going to get the doctor" frantic, the attending nurse runs out of the room.
