Malina was in disbelief. The Queen had granted them permission to go to Earth, and to none other than Amity Park, where Danny resided! However, there was one issue troubling her.
"Why must you come along?" she asked Zdrada.
"Honestly, I can't get over how odd it is that she would send both of us when one would suffice," Zdrada remarked with a smirk.
"At least you'll have the chance to meet your crush," she teased.
"Shut it!" Malina snapped.
Zdrada smirked, her curiosity piqued as to why the queen would send them to Earth. However, her expression quickly turned to a frown when she noticed the Twin Demons waiting for them.
"Karma, Whisk," she said, causing Malina to growl at the pair.
"Zdrada, Malina," Whisk replied with a smirk.
"Off to Earth, are you?" Karma inquired.
"You've heard?" Malina questioned, aware that the duo was plotting something.
"Everyone knows. Some demons are envious that you two are heading there," Whisk revealed.
Malina glared at the younger twin. They could never get along. The only reason they hadn't torn each other apart was their sisters' intervention.
"Anyway, we'll leave you be," Karma said, pulling her younger twin away.
"Sure you will," Malina growled.
"Good luck with your boy, Malina!" Whisk taunted, aiming for one last jab.
Malina froze. How did she know?! Zdrada placed a hand on her shoulder, preventing any rash actions.
"We can deal with them later, Malina. Let's head to Earth," Zdrada suggested, disliking the twins.
Malina sighed before they headed towards the gates of hell. The Guard, knowing its orders, opened the gates to Amity Park, where Malina's and Zdrada's new life would begin.
Danny soared through the sky, pursuing yet another ghost unleashed by his parents. It wasn't a matter of hating them; he was simply exhausted by their obliviousness to the consequences of their inventions. Often, he felt the urge to confront them about their oversights, not grasping the risks involved should their experiments fail, whether it involved ghosts or other mishaps.
However, he couldn't fault them; he knew they were overly excited, especially his dad, eager to test their inventions. They were at least cautious when he and Jazz were present.
He noticed the Ghost weaving around a building, attempting to shake him off, but Danny phased through the structure, maintaining pursuit.
Meanwhile, Jack and Maddie chased the ghosts they aimed to capture, with Jack gradually running out of breath.
"I knew I shouldn't have eaten those burritos for breakfast," he said, pausing to catch his breath.
"Come on, Jack! They're getting away!" Maddie urged.
"Just a minute, Mads," Jack replied, taking another breath.
With a nod, the Fentons resumed their pursuit, only for Jack to suddenly collide with someone.
"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"
Looking down, Jack saw a girl clad in a red shirt, black jeans, and black shoes, with striking red eyes and white hair. Another girl approached, dressed similarly but adorned with punk accessories and a cross around her neck.
"Calm down, Malina. It's not like they knew we were coming around the corner," the second girl said, offering a hand to help her up.
Malina growled but accepted the help to stand.
"You kids shouldn't be out here! There have been ghost sightings," Jack warned them.
""Easy there, we're not helpless. We've heard of this town. We're not going to let a couple of ghosts scare us," Zdrada declared.
"Are you two new in town?" Maddie inquired.
"Yep, I'm Zdrada, and this is my younger sister, Malina," Zdrada replied with a smirk.
"Well, nice to meet you, but you need to get out of here!" Jack insisted.
Malina groaned and looked up. She noticed two ghosts fighting; one tried to blast the other, only for the shot to be dodged. The blast hit part of the building instead, causing debris to fall towards them.
"MOVE!" she yelled, pushing Jack out of the way.
Jack was astonished by the girl's strength as he watched the building fragment land where he had just been standing.
"Jack?! Are you alright?" Maddie asked, rushing over to them.
"I'm fine, Maddie. Thanks to this girl here," Jack said, tousling Malina's hair.
Malina blushed at the gesture, unaccustomed to such attention.
"Wait, you're Malina, right?" Maddie asked, beginning to realize something.
"Yes, and I saved your friend without a second thought," Malina admitted, trying to maintain her composure.
"Jack is my husband, and you're the Malina our son talks about," Maddie stated.
"Son?" Malina echoed, surprised.
"Who is your son?" Zdrada inquired.
"Danny," Jack revealed.
Malina was stunned. She had just saved Danny's father without realizing it?
"Wow, Malinka. Talk about scoring some brownie points," Zdrada smirked.
"SHUT IT!" Malina yelled, looking ready to attack her sister.
Zdrada just laughed as Maddie checked the Fenton Ghost Seeker, only to find that the ghosts had vanished.
"Darn it! We lost them," Maddie exclaimed, sighing.
"What?! But I wanted to try out the new Fenton Net Catcher!" Jack complained.
"Jack, it's essentially a plain old fishing net," Maddie pointed out.
"But it has the word 'Fenton' on it!" Jack argued, prompting Maddie to roll her eyes.
After all, she was the one who invented the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick. She then turned to the sisters, curious about something.
"Where are your parents?" she asked, causing both sisters to face her.
"No idea," Zdrada responded with a shrug.
"We've had to fend for ourselves for most of our lives. And before you start worrying, we can handle ourselves just fine," Malina added.
Maddie didn't like it. She walked up and stared at the two, making them both nervous.
"You two aren't going to live on the streets as long as I have something to say about it!" she declared.
"We were planning on going to a hotel..." Malina began, only to flinch under Maddie's intense glare.
"I won't allow it. You're coming with us!" she stated, leaving the two in shock.
"Um, you don't have to..." Malina attempted.
"I insist!" Maddie interrupted, not allowing any more protests.
"Well, Malinka, it looks like you're going to meet your man sooner than you thought," Zdrada teased.
"Shut up. Just shut up!" Malina groaned.
Later,
Danny returned after catching the ghost and was surprised to find two new girls on the couch. He recognized one from a picture.
"Malina?" he inquired.
Malina turned and saw Danny.
"Danny?" she exclaimed, surprised.
"Ah, so you're the famous Danny. It's nice to meet you in person finally," Zdrada remarked, standing up.
"And you must be Zdrada? Malina has mentioned you," Danny said, taken aback.
"I'm sure everything you've heard about me is true," Zdrada replied, shaking his hand.
"Zdrada!" Malina growled, prompting laughter from her sister.
"Jokes aside, it's truly nice to meet the real you," Zdrada said.
"Um, yeah, why are you here?" Danny asked.
"We encountered your parents, and Malinka saved your father's life," Zdrada explained, making Malina blush.
"You saved my dad?" Danny asked, astonished.
"I acted instinctively," Malina replied, diverting her gaze.
"Thanks," Danny said, recalling the event while he was battling the ghost.
Malina's cheeks flushed even more as she tried to suppress it.
Zdrada observed with a smirk.
'This is going to be so much fun!' she thought to herself.
I was beginning to run low on inspiration. Nonetheless, I want to express my gratitude to SargentEpsilon for suggesting the encounter between Malina and Zdrada with Danny's parents. Danny and Malina have now met in person, and Zdrada's introduction to Jazz will occur in the forthcoming chapter. Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween!
