Title: Day of the Dumpster

Our story begins in space. A large planetoid rose behind the Moon, and a rocket ship was seen flying towards the planetoid. Soon, the rocket ship made its descent onto the planetoid, and two Astronauts climbed out and down from the ship. The Astronauts walked on the surface of the planetoid, with their rocket ship, the Earth, and the Moon each behind them. They both took a look around until one of them believed to have spotted something.

"Hey, look at that!" Astronaut 1 pointed out, spotting something in the distance, "Let's go see!"

The two Astronauts made their way over to whatever was in the distance. Once they reached it, they noticed that it looked exactly like a space dumpster. But what in the world was a space dumpster doing out here on the Moon?

"What do you think it is?" asked Astronaut 1.

"It looks like a giant space dumpster," answered Astronaut 2, when he noticed something glowing on the top of the space dumpster.

"Well, let's open it up and see what's inside," Astronaut 1 suggested, wanting to know what was inside.

He then grasped the glowing orb with his left hand and soon let go as it started reacting from being touched in that manner. Suddenly, the space dumpster started shaking, and the two Astronauts grabbed hold of the cover to the space dumpster before they pulled it off—which proved to be a HUGE mistake on their part, because out of the dumpster came four glowing streaks of colored light. The light beams landed on the horizon further up and became four living, breathing monsters. The two Astronauts were scared silly as they screamed and fell onto their rear ends.

"Wh-What are they?!" freaked out Astronaut 2.

The first monster was a lion-faced, griffin-themed knight wearing gold armor with two wings, and was armed with a longsword. His name was Goldar. The second monster was an anthropomorphic white Scottish Terrier. His name was Finster. The third monster was tall (still shorter than Goldar), slim, black-colored, and vampire-like, and resembled a cross between a monkey and a bat with crippled wings. His name was Baboo. And the fourth monster was a short, blue-skinned hobgoblin with a large horn. He wore metal armor, and looked like a mix between a blueberry and a warthog. His name was Squatt.

"Let's get out of here!" panicked Astronaut 1.

"Alright! We're out!" reacted Squatt happily. Then, he walked over to the space dumpster and spoke into it, "Oh, Rita. Wake up, we're now free. Ritaaaa!"

A new figure then rose from the space dumpster with a loud yawn. This figure was a female sorceress wearing a tannish gown with a cone bra, and a strange looking headdress. Her name was Rita Repulsa, the evil Galactic Space Empress. Squatt seemed to react in grossness as he approached her.

"Uh-oh, morning breath!" he exclaimed, before reaching into his bag for something, "Let me get you a mint."

Baboo stopped Squatt from getting any further and scolded his friend. Finster, meanwhile, was shown sighing with great relief over being released after so long.

"Ah, it's good to be out after 10,000 years," nodded Finster.

"Here, your Evilness. Let me help you," offered Baboo, walking towards Rita.

As Baboo started helping Rita out of the dumpster, he began to sing a simple little song. Soon, Rita stepped on something on the ground right after getting out and turned to scowl at Baboo.

"Oh! You made me step in a puddle, you nitwit!" snapped Rita, and pushed Baboo away from her, "Get out of my way, monkey face!" Once she was on her feet, she then spoke to Finster, "Finster, did you say we've been trapped in here for 10,000 years?"

"I did, my Queen," confirmed Finster.

"That long?" gasped Rita, before turning to face the space dumpster that held her and her minions captive, "It's all because of that wretched seal!"

In a fit of anger, she summoned what appeared to be a magic scepter and blasted the space dumpster, destroying it to ensure that she and her faithful followers didn't get sealed back inside ever again. By this point, the two Astronauts were really terrified at what they were actually witnessing, and they started heading right back to their nearby ship in a panic while screaming—hoping to flee back to Earth and away from what they found.

"Aw, don't leave. You'll miss my coming-out party!" taunted Rita, seeing the two Astronauts who freed her from that prison flee in terror, "And that's when I destroy or conquer the nearest planet in the solar system!"

She began to laugh maniacally as she and her henchmen all turned to face what was the nearest planet in the distance—which was Earth! This was so not good, huh?

(Knapford City)

Back on the planet, Earth, a week or so later after the rocket ship discovered a space dumpster, everything was mighty fine on the Island of Sodor, an island country in the United Kingdom sandwiched between Ireland and England, and also home to one of the most impressive-looking railways in Europe. Knapford City was the capital of the island with an extremely busy port that received goods and supplies from other countries across the word. There was also the local high school, Sodor High, one of the biggest public schools in all of Europe. It was September, and a new school year had recently begun.

(Hatt Mansion)

Inside the mansion of one of the wealthiest people of the world, a tubby-looking man wearing a fine suit was seated at the table enjoying breakfast with his wife before he had to leave for his job as a high school principal. The man, Sir Topham Hatt, was reading the newspaper while being served a cup of hot coffee by the butler when something in it caught his eye.

"Well, would you look at this, Jane?" commented Sir Topham Hatt, causing his wife, Lady Hatt, to look over. He laid the newspaper down on the table, "It says here the two Astronauts that have returned yesterday from exploring the Moon claimed to have seen aliens."

"Aliens?" blinked Lady Hatt, before shaking her head in disbelief, "Oh dear, what kind of craziness will the editors ever think of next?"

Sir Topham Hatt chuckled in response, picked up his cup of coffee, and sipped from it.

(Sodor High School)

At Sodor High School a while later, the bell was heard ringing as students were shown coming and going. Inside the big school, Two teenage boys were hanging by the lockers. The first boy, Thomas Billinton, had light blue hair and matching blue eyes. He was dressed in the school uniform customized to him; a blue blazer with red and yellow details that hung loose, a light gray button-up undershirt, black pants, blue socks, simple black shoes and a blue and light gray tie with red details. The second boy, Percy Avonside, had bright green hair and teal eyes. He was dressed in his own customized uniform; a green blazer with red and yellow details, a light gray button-up undershirt, black pants, green socks, simple black shoes and a green and light gray tie with red details. Both boys were best friends and part of Tidmouth House.

"Aw, you beat me again, dude," sighed Percy, "That's two days in a row."

"What can I say?" boasted Thomas, "I'm a natural."

"Well, I guess it doesn't matter," Percy shrugged, quickly recovering and grinning big, "What matters is that today's the day!"

"It sure is," agreed Thomas, "I've been looking forward to it since Gordon and James told us about it."

"What's today?" A female voice responded.

The two boys turned to see a tall and attractive girl their age walk up to them. She had long dark green, almost emerald, hair held back with a black headband and bluish green eyes. She wore the female uniform, also customized to her; an emerald green blazer with gold details that hung loose, a black button-up undershirt, a black skirt with a gold stripe, green tight socks, simple black shoes, and a green and black tie with gold details. Her name was Emily Stirling, another member of Tidmouth House.

"Hey, Emily!" greeted Percy, "If you must know, Thomas and I…" As he explained away, Emily listened while smiling before her smile faded away, "…are heading to the quarry after school to explore a cave that was said by Gordon and James to be found."

"A cave?" pressed Emily.

"Yup," said Thomas, "You interested in coming along?"

"I don't know," murmured Emily, "It sounds like a not so good idea to me. I just can't help but feel that going to explore an abandoned cave like that will lead to trouble."

"Well, that's too bad," A second female voice spoke out.

The four of them turned to see a friendly pink-haired girl, also around the same age as the three other Sudrian teenagers, confidently strutting up to them. Her uniform consisted of a pink blazer with cherry red details that also hung loose, a light gray button-up undershirt, a cherry red skirt with a light gray stripe, pink tight socks, simple black shoes, and a pink and cherry red tie with light gray details. Her pink hair was done up in two small buns and were held up by cherry red beaded ties. Her name was Rosie Vulcan, a member of the school's Western House.

"Rosie?" quizzed Thomas.

"Exploring a cave sounds like a lot of fun," commented Rosie, "Say, Thomas, if Emily isn't interested, is it alright if I join the two of you?"

"I don't see why not," accepted Percy.

"Same," agreed Thomas, as Rosie looked positively overjoyed, "Sure, Rosie, you're welcome to come along."

"Oh, yay!" squealed Rosie excitedly, before clutching onto Thomas's right arm with affection, "Thank you, Thomas!" She then looked towards Emily and winked, "Sorry you can't come, Emily. I'll look after Thomas for you."

"Such a shame really," Thomas added mischievously, "I was kinda hoping we could've made a date out of this trip, Emily. But I'm sure Rosie would be 'great' company for Percy and I," He then wrapped an arm around Rosie's waist and held her close to him, "Am I right, Rosie?"

"Oh-ho-ho, Thomas, you 'beast'!" giggled Rosie flirtatiously.

Poor Emily could only grit her teeth as her face went red, growing greatly annoyed with Rosie because she knew that Emily and Thomas were currently in a romantic relationship. Emily also knew that Rosie had a crush on Thomas, and Thomas, despite seeing Rosie only as a friend, even sometimes played along in order to make Rosie happy and annoy Emily.

"Ugh, get a room, you two," groaned Percy.

A shameless Rosie giggled again without a care in the world even as Thomas felt a little sheepish over pushing it in-front of other people, while Emily's face only got redder in the face before she stomped off. Unknown to the four of them, they were being listened in by a few of their fellow students. One was a lead black-haired boy named Diesel Horwich. He wore the same male uniform, with his having an overall black color scheme with gray details. The other was a gray-haired, portly-looking boy named Dennis Ashford. His uniform had a gray color scheme with darker gray details. Both were a part of the school's Smelters House.

"Exploring a cave, are they?" snickered Diesel.

"It's something that James and Gordon told them about," revealed Dennis, "I wonder why?"

"It's because there's treasure there, and Thomas wants to find it!" exclaimed Diesel, as he then placed his hands on Dennis's shoulders, "Dennis, do you know what this means?" When no answer was given, he continued, "If we're the ones who find the treasure, we can become rich and wealthy!"

Dennis's eyes became filled with greed, loving the sound of what Diesel was telling him. To that end, the both of them started to leave the building—luckily, it was now noon hour. Outside on the school grounds, Diesel and Dennis quickly made their way to the bike shed, where Thomas's bike was kept chained.

"We'll find that treasure, Dennis, and Thomas and his friends will be the key to helping us with it," vowed Diesel, holding up a small tracker in his right hand, "It's a good thing you purchased this tracker last month," He placed it onto a part of the bike, "I'll just place this little thing there…" With everything set, he held up a small radar in his left hand, "Now, using this radar device, we follow those losers until they lead us to the treasure."

"Oh man, Diesel, that's brilliant!" praised Dennis, "You're the smartest guy I've ever met!"

"Yes, I know," beamed Diesel smugly, before leading Dennis away, "All we gotta do now is wait, pal. That treasure is as good as ours!"

Once dismissal had rolled around, Thomas, Percy, and Rosie were at the bike shed gearing up for their trek to Ffarquhar.

"This is gonna be so exciting!" tittered Rosie giddily, decked out in her roller blades.

"We've already got everything we need," added Percy, standing ready on his skateboard.

"Yeah. But we'd get moving or else we'll get stuck up there after dark," joked Thomas.

"Yeah, right," chuckled Percy.

"Let's hit the road!" declared Rosie.

All three teenagers then zoomed off out the gate, with Thomas leading the way on his bike, with Rosie and Percy gliding after him.

"You're not gonna beat me this time, buddy!" shouted Percy.

Back at the bike shed, Diesel and Dennis were gearing up themselves to go after Thomas, with Dennis's tracker showing the former's bike moving towards the small town of Ffarquhar.

"Will you hurry up and finish eating that thing?!" Diesel barked at Dennis, who was munching on a popsicle, "Your lousy tracker only has a two-mile range!"

"H-Hey, lay off my tracker! It's the best I could buy, remember?!" protested Dennis, "Besides, I don't see 'you' coming up with anything better!"

"Will you just move your butt? They're getting away!" yelled Diesel, as he rode off on his bike.

"W-Wait up!" Dennis exclaimed, shoving the rest of the popsicle into his mouth and chewing it up before feeling his head overcome with pain, "Brain freeze!"

Diesel simply paid no attention and merely sped off ahead on his bike, with Dennis finally riding after him, much slower.

"Come on Diesel! Wait up for me!" cried Dennis, biking as best as he could, "HEEEEYYYY!"

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

At the quarry, Thomas, Percy and Rosie were outside the entrance to the cave. Thomas was double checking their supplies, Percy was tying a long strand of rope to a boulder, while Rosie was doing some cartwheels and tumble rolls on the ground.

"We ready to go yet?" asked Rosie impatiently.

"Almost," Percy answered, just as he tightened the rope around the boulder, "Just making sure we're all set."

"What are you even doing?" questioned Thomas.

"Only making sure we can find our way back out," replied Percy, "I'll feed this rope behind us, and we can follow it back to the cave entrance."

"Hope you're not thinking of going without me!" The voice of Emily called out.

The three teenagers looked up at one of the gravel piles to see Emily standing there proudly. She then slid down gracefully and strutted up to the trio with her arms folded.

"Emily!" gasped Rosie.

"Oh, so you decided to finally join us?" smirked Thomas, wrapping an arm around Emily.

"What made you change your mind?" pondered Percy.

"One, because I'm not a chicken," Emily stated in response, "And two, because I don't trust this 'friend' of ours…" She poked Rosie in the forehead, "…to keep her hands off my boyfriend."

"Oh, Emily! How could you 'say' that?!" gasped Rosie, talking in an over exaggerated manner while clutching her chest near her heart, "You have hurt me here!"

Emily rolled her eyes in response, knowing that Rosie was only playing around.

"Hey, you guys!" A male voice cut in.

The four looked to see another young boy their age. He had reddish brown hair and goldish yellow eyes. He was also dressed in the same uniform as them, with his colors being a brown blazer with gray details that hung loose, a black button-up undershirt, gray pants, brown socks, simple black shoes, and a brown and black tie with gray details. They recognized him as Toby Holden, a member of Harwick House.

"Hi, Toby!" greeted Percy, waving.

"What are you doing here?" wondered Thomas.

"Oh… no reason… just wandering," Toby answered, trying to hide the reason he came to the quarry, "What are 'you' all doing here?"

Emily grinned, "Hold up, you three. I think there might be a different reason Toby's here," she chortled, stopping Thomas and Percy as Toby looked nervous, "You're obviously here because you want to hang out with Mavis, is that it?"

"Th-Th-That's not true!" stammered Toby, with a hint of embarrassment.

"You are 'so' lying!" teased Emily, "You're blushing after all."

"Well, I think it's sweet," gushed Rosie, blushing and admiring the possible romance between Toby and Mavis, "You and Mavis go so well together, Toby."

Mavis Drewry, a member of the Smelters House, was a friend of Thomas and the others (and seen as Emily's best friend), and Toby had a crush on her—something Thomas and the likes liked to tease him about.

"Sh-Shut up!" ordered Toby, before easing up a little bit, "Besides, you still haven't answered my question. Why are you all here?"

Emily and Rosie continued to silently glance knowingly at Toby with raised eyebrows.

"We're going spelunking," answered Percy, "Why do you ask? You wanna explore the cave with us, right?"

"Me, go inside a dangerous cave with you guys? I don't know about that," sighed Toby, unsettled.

"Oh, don't worry, Toby, we completely understand," responded Rosie, as she and Thomas smiled with the intention of provoking Toby, "Understand you're too chicken to come into a dark cave!"

"S-Say what?!" gawked Toby, as Thomas and Rosie laughed, "I'm no chicken!" He stormed up to the small group, "I'll show you guys! Let's go inside and get it over with!"

Percy and Emily looked at each other for a moment and shrugged, before looking back at Toby with innocent smiles on their faces.

"Okay," replied Percy.

"Welcome aboard," finished Emily.

Toby smiled with pride, before realizing he was tricked into coming along and looked dismayed by having to go into the cave with his friends. Before long, everyone was ready to go inside and do some exploring.

"So, are you guys ready?" urged Thomas, shining his flashlight into the cave.

"Yeah," Percy, Emily, Toby, and Rosie answered at the same time.

(Abandoned Cave)

The five teenagers began their trek through the dark cave; Thomas leading the way, with Emily and Rosie close behind him, and Toby covering the back with Percy, who was feeding the rope behind them.

"Boy, this place is even creepier than I thought," remarked Thomas.

"You just make sure we can find our way back," said Toby sternly.

"Geez! Don't get freaky on us, Toby, everything's under control," Percy assured, confident about being able to get out, "All we have to do is follow this rope and we're outta here."

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Outside, Diesel finally arrived at the last spot he saw the tracker ping Thomas's bike. He looked behind him to see Dennis struggling to keep up.

"Will you hurry up!" groaned Diesel, growing exasperated, "They've probably gone home already!"

"Hey, you don't have to yell at me!" complained Dennis, "I got feelings too, y'know!"

"Oh, quit your bellyaching!"

The gray-haired portly boy then noticed something peeking out from behind a rock.

"Hey, check it out! My tracker worked!" he exclaimed, pointing ahead at the nearby bike, "That's Thomas's bike!"

The two Smelter students then dismounted their own bikes and made their way to the cave entrance.

"So, those losers went snooping around in some deserted mine shaft, eh?" smirked Diesel, "Let's go in and find the treasure before they do!"

"Uh, I'm not sure that's a good idea…" Dennis trembled, looking into the darkness.

"Would you quit being such a wuss all the time!" snorted Diesel, turning on his flashlight.

"I can't help it…" whimpered Dennis.

Ignoring the whining, Diesel then saw the rope on the ground leading down the tunnel.

"Well, what do we have here?" uttered Diesel.

(Abandoned Cave)

Far ahead in the cavern, Thomas, Percy, Emily, Rosie and Toby had come to a sudden fork in the cave.

"So 'now' which way do we go?" asked Emily.

"I say we go back, 'cause we just ran out of rope," advised Toby, holding up the end of the rope.

"Hey, I know what we can do," beamed Rosie, as she gathered up a few small rocks from the ground, "We mark our route with these rocks!"

"Quick thinking," praised Percy, as Rosie smiled and cheerfully did the peace sign with a wink, "Let's keep going."

The five of them all headed down the right-side fork, laying down the rocks in a line behind them. Before long, Diesel and Dennis managed to catch up. Diesel was focused on the treasure, but Dennis was focused on how dark and creepy the cavern was.

"I-I guess I should have told you before but…ever since I was a kid… I've had a deep fear of dark, spooky places…" shivered Dennis.

"You know, if you put half the effort into walking as you do whining we would've found the—huh?" grunted Diesel, but stopped as he saw the end of the rope in front of the fork, "Oh, this is just great! 'Now' which way did they go?!"

"Why are you asking me? It was 'your' idea to follow them," countered Dennis.

"You know, I've had it up to 'here' with how much I take!" huffed Diesel, holding a straight hand level to his head, "So if you're too chicken, then turn around and go home! GRRR!"

Diesel then angrily kicked the rocks on the ground, not noticing they lead to another line, before stomping off down the left-side fork.

"I would've had more fun doing this if I'd brought Daisy instead…" Diesel grumbled to himself.

"H-Hey! Wait up Diesel! Y-You can't leave me here all alone!" cried Dennis, running after Diesel, "Besides you've still got my chocolate bar in your pocket! 'WAIT UP'!"

Up ahead, Rosie stopped walking as she heard the voice echo throughout.

"Did you guys hear that?" peeped Rosie, looking behind her.

"Hear what?" questioned Thomas.

"I could've sworn I heard voices," mused Rosie adamantly.

"Or maybe it was just your overactive imagination?" Emily added snarkily.

"I swear I heard something!"

"Let's just keep going," suggested Percy, cutting the argument between Emily and Rosie short, "We'll worry about it later."

Venturing further down the tunnel, the five teenagers found themselves in a circular cavern littered with diamonds in the walls.

"CHA-CHING!" dinged Percy, grinning big, "We've struck riches!"

Emily's eyes practically glittered at the sight of all the buried jewels before her.

"Looks like Gordon and James weren't bluffing after all," noted Thomas, "This cave really does have treasure."

"In that case, guess we can help ourselves!" sang Rosie excitedly.

While the other four friends started piling diamonds into their backpacks, Toby remained apprehensive about the whole thing. He swore he could hear a faint cracking and chipping sound coming from somewhere.

"Toby, what are you waiting for?!" quizzed Emily, very thrilled, "Start grabbing!"

"Something's not right here," stated Toby, as he listened closer. The cracking sound was more clearer now, and his eyes then widened, "Everybody stop!"

Everyone turned towards the brown-haired boy, concerned at his tone of voice.

"Don't. Move. A. Muscle," advised Toby slowly as he gestured to the ground, "That's shale. A sedimentary rock. This looks like a 'very' thin surface."

Everyone froze in fear, as they too could now hear the cracking sound beneath them.

"Oh dear," murmured Rosie.

"What do we do?" whispered Percy.

"Just slowly, walk back," instructed Toby cautiously, "Heel-toe."

And they all did as they were told, slowly tiptoeing out of the area and hopefully back to the entrance. Each step created more cracking as they cringed with every movement. Suddenly, one of the diamonds slipped out from Rosie's backpack.

"NO!" she shrieked.

The diamond stabbed into the ground, leaving a large crack. Everyone froze, waiting for the inevitable. But the ground held firm, and the five Sudrian teenagers breathed a sigh of relief.

"Well, it's actually thicker than I first thou-" began Toby.

But he didn't get the chance to finish as the shale ground chose that moment to crumble instantly under their feet, sending everyone plummeting down the tunnel, screaming all the way. In another part of the cave, Diesel and Dennis (who caught up) could hear the sounds echoing throughout the whole cavern.

"What was that?" blinked Dennis.

"Beats the heck outta me," replied Diesel, "Let's keep moving."

And that's what they did, hoping to find the treasure said to be hidden somewhere in the cave.

"You know, Diesel, t-that sounded just like Thomas and the others," stuttered Dennis.

"I bet it's them just trying to scare us," insisted Diesel, a hint of hesitancy in his voice, "Right…?"

"W-What if 'they're' lost like we are?" asked Dennis, very terrified, "W-What if we're trapped here for eternity?"

Diesel was shivering, "P-Please stop it!" he begged, "N-Now you're getting 'me' all freaked out!"

"I can't help it!" wailed Dennis.

(Rita's Palace)

Meanwhile, between Earth and the Lunar surface of the Moon in outer space, a large Lunar Palace was built after Rita and her minions decided to move their base of operations there. On the balcony of her palace, Rita was looking through her personal telescope called the "Repulsascope", making her right eye look huge. She blinked a few times then looked out, laughing.

"Yes, I like it," said Rita, speaking to no one in particular.

Goldar stood beside the Repulsascope and turned to his right, awaiting his orders. Baboo and Squatt both stood inside the main chamber, the former was fidgeting. Rita soon turned away from her Repulsascope on the balcony…

"Oh, Finster!" Rita happily called out.

Inside Finster's new workshop, he was hard at work making something. He then heard his Empress calling out to him and leaned towards the nearby window, cupping ear to listen.

"Start making Putty Patrollers," The voice of Rita commanded.

Finister nodded, then laughed to himself, gesturing his arms in wicked glee as he resumed his work. Outside the workshop…

"I'll lead them down and make the Earth yours, Empress," proclaimed Goldar proudly, enthusiastically swiping his sword and jerking both arms.

From hearing that, Rita cackled loudly, soon ready to begin her conquest of Earth.

(Abandoned Cave)

Back in the cave…

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Thomas and the likes were heard screaming.

All five Sudrian teenagers continued to fall down the hole. After a few seconds, they suddenly fell from the ceiling and landed in a large pool of water. After another few seconds, they all surfaced, wet yet alive.

"Is everyone okay?!" spluttered Thomas.

"I… I think so," responded Emily.

All five teenagers swam towards dry land, collapsing when they reached it.

"Whoa! What a splash that was!" gasped Percy, trying to lighten things up.

"Splash?!" exclaimed Toby in agitation, "We're lucky to be alive here!" He stood up, "Look, guys, I hate to ruin things here, but we should think about getting out while we still can."

"And how do you propose we do that?" pressed Rosie, "We fell like a hundred feat!"

Before Toby could answer…

"Wait a minute!" The voice of Emily interrupted, much to Toby's dismay. She was looking out into the distance, "Hey, I think I spotted something over there!"

"What is it?" questioned Thomas, taking out a miniature telescope.

Taking a look into the distance, he soon spotted what seemed to be a spaceship sticking out of the water.

"What in the world?" blinked Emily.

"Is that a spaceship?" put in Thomas.

"A spaceship?!" worried Rosie, "What do you guys think could be onboard it?"

"Isn't it obvious?" cut in Percy, as Rosie looked over curiously. He looked especially freaked out, "It must contain the extraterrestrials sent to cleanse the planet! My theory about aliens coming to invade Earth is coming true!"

"Come on, aren't you exaggerating just a little?" deadpanned Emily.

Percy didn't budge, "Are you kidding?! I've been preparing for this day for my whole life!"

"Ugh! Can we please just get out of here?!" yelled Toby, losing his patience.

"Alright, Toby, we'll go," sighed Thomas, managing to get Percy to settle down before facing everyone else around him, "Let's find some way out of here."

Percy, Emily, and Rosie nodded in agreement, and they, plus Toby, started to search for some way out of the cave. Suddenly, without warning, appearing from behind a large rock was a humanoid soldier which appeared to be made out of clay. They were known as Putty Patrollers, the primary foot soldiers of Rita's army. The jump scare by the Putty caused Rosie to let out a shriek. To make matters worse, several more Putties appeared out of thin air and three of them even flipped through the air to join the group in surrounding their victims.

"W-What are these things?!" began Toby.

"See?! I told you guys so!" flailed Percy, "These guys…" While he was talking, the Putties made menacing poses, "…are the extraterrestrials I'm talking about!"

"Over there!" panicked Rosie, pointing nearby.

Armed with his sword, Goldar appeared in a burst of fire as some of the Putties gathered around him.

"Who the heck are you?!" demanded Thomas.

"In the name of the Evil Space Empress, Rita Repulsa, I order the five of you…" roared Goldar, as Thomas and the others listened despite being surrounded by Putties, "…to stand down and bow before me, Goldar, the greatest warrior in the whole galaxy!" He raised his sword and swung it once in an effort to show his menace, "Do so, and we might 'not' destroy you."

"Rita Repulsa? Greatest warrior? I don't like the sound of that," shuddered Emily.

"Hey, I know I wanted to go on a great adventure," whimpered Rosie, as Putties continued to surround her and her friends, "But this kind of excitement is way too much even for me!"

"How are we going to get out of this situation, guys?" fretted Toby.

Thomas looked around the ground and found a large rock there. Thinking fast, he picked it up and threw it at the Putty, who caught it but fell over.

"Hurry!" exclaimed Thomas.

He and his friends ran in the opposite direction, slipping past the Putties as they watched.

"Stop them, you fools!" bellowed Goldar, as the remaining Putties started following the weak civilians in a hurry, "Don't let them escape!"

As Thomas, Emily, Percy, Rosie, and Toby fled, they suddenly felt an earthquake going on and came to a stop.

"Aww, come on!" quivered Percy, "First an ambush, and now an earthquake of all things?!"

"Impossible!" objected Toby, "We're miles and miles away from any fault lines!"

They weren't the only ones to be feeling the earthquake; in another part of the cave, Diesel and Dennis were clutching the walls as the whole place shook around them.

"It's an earthquake! We're gonna be buried alive!" cried Dennis.

Despite being pretty scared himself, Diesel tried his absolute hardest to remain calm.

"Alright, Dennis, let's not pani-" assured Diesel.

But before he could finish, the shaking caused him to lose his grip on the flashlight as it fell…

*SMASH!*

…and broke, trapping both Smelter students in the darkness in the middle of the earthquake.

"AAHHH!" shrieked Dennis.

"We're doomed…" admitted Diesel bluntly.

(Knapford City)

The earthquake extended all the way to Knapford City itself, where people all over town were running away, scared for their lives.

(Command Center)

Somewhere in the Ffarquhar Quarry, there was a huge building standing on top of a cliff. Who built it? Nobody knew.

"Danger, danger! It's…" A voice (male) could be heard from inside.

Inside the interior, a human-sized robot was clutching onto a teddy bear in panic as an alarm was sounding off.

"…the big one! We'll all be wiped out!" The robot was saying in alarm.

Nearby, a large plasma tube stood and soon materialized a giant floating blue head.

"Calm yourself, Alpha. It's Rita," The head pointed out, speaking with a Mid-Atlantic accent and sounding very calm, "She's escaped, and is attacking the planet."

"Ay-yi-yi!" Alpha fretted, as he stood before a computer console near the plasma tube and faced the blue head, "What will we do, Zordon?"

"Teleport to us five overbearing and overemotional humans," requested Zordon.

"No! Not that!" begged Alpha, knowing exactly what Zordon was referring to, "Not teenagers!"

"That's correct, Alpha."

"I was afraid of that," The robot groaned, as he walked towards the console. He then saw something on the crystal globe that alarmed him, "Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi! This is horrible, Zordon!"

The crystal globe was showing footage of Thomas and his friends being discovered by Putties.

"Those kids have been found by Putties!" The voice of Alpha cried out, as Thomas backed away when one Putty challenged him, "We've got to save them!"

"Hurry, Alpha!" urged Zordon, "Teleport them to the Command Center!"

Alpha did not hesitate to flick the switch on console bottom then the second button from right on top. He hoped that he wasn't too late to rescue Thomas and the others.

(Abandoned Cave)

Back with the five Sudrian teenagers at the underground cavern, they were still surrounded by Putties and about to be attacked when they all began to feel funny.

"Oh my gosh! What's happening?" shrieked Rosie.

"This is too weird!" panicked Emily.

"Now, prepare to meet your maker!" taunted Goldar, slowly approaching before stopping with the swing of his sword, "Putties, get them!"

"Everyone hang on!" Thomas braced himself.

All of a sudden, the five teenagers all turned into beams of colored light against their will (Thomas: Red, Percy: Black, Toby: Blue, Emily: Yellow, Rosie: Pink) and they all ascended out of the cavern through the ceiling before the Putties could do any harm.

"What?! What just-?" stammered Goldar, surprised, before coming to a realization, "It must be Zordon! I must inform my Empress of this new development."

Racing through the rocky landscape were five colored teleportation streaks before they shot themselves ahead.

(Command Center)

The trip took the beams through the Ffarquhar Quarry to the Command Center, entering through the roof before landing in the main chamber in a bundled mess.

"Bubbling Sodas!" murmured Percy.

"Where are we?" asked Thomas, just as he got up and looked around.

"This isn't exactly the mall, is it?" quizzed Emily.

Toby's eyes grew, "Oh boy…" he breathed out with wonder, "This place is magnificent."

"I don't get it. How'd we end up here?" pondered Percy curiously.

Focus went towards the nearby computer consoles.

"Maybe the answer's in these controls?" The voice of Rosie suggested.

The five Sudrian teenagers walked over to the console, with Toby attempting to press a few buttons as Alpha suddenly walked in and grew panicked.

"Ay-yi-yi-yi! Please don't touch that!" protested Alpha, running over. The robot soon tripped and fell on his face, "Ouch! Ay-yi-yi-yi…"

While the rest of the group was merely surprised or amazed, Percy jumped back at the sight of Alpha.

"Alien robot!" wailed Percy, hiding behind Thomas, "I always knew it would end this way!"

"Wow," admired Toby, as he and Emily both went and helped Alpha up. However, the former stared into the robot's face with wonder, "A fully sentient, automation."

This earned him some startled reactions from everyone else.

"Um… Toby, when did you learn to use words that big?" blinked Thomas.

"I… err… secretly went with Edward to the science fair at one point over the summer," admitted Toby a little sheepishly, as Emily and Rosie both looked absolutely bemused, "I was so fascinated by the wonders there that I developed an interest in all of that stuff."

"Either way, I've never seen anything like it," commented Thomas.

"Welcome humans," The voice of Zordon boomed.

Thomas and the others turned to their right to see the voice of whomever spoke to them. Nearby, the plasma tube lightened up and Zordon materialized before their eyes. The five teenagers were shocked by what they saw.

"Trembling Tracks!" Emily and Rosie exclaimed at the same time.

"A giant floating head!" pointed Percy, "First a robot, and now that!"

"Do not be afraid, children," reassured Zordon, "I am Zordon, an interdimensional being in a time warp."

"And I am Alpha 5," put in Alpha.

"Will, like, somebody come back to Earth and pick me up?" demanded Emily, irritated, "Because I am totally confused."

"It's quite simple, my dear," replied Zordon, "This planet is under attack, and I've brought you all here to save it."

"Yeah right, and I am Zachary Taylor!" laughed Percy sarcastically, as he closed his eyes, "Now, this is all just a bad dream from that expired tofu I ate earlier, and I'm gonna wake up in the nurse's office 'any time' now."

Everyone just stared blankly at him.

*WHACK*

Percy face planted the floor, having been smacked by Rosie.

"Owwww…" winced Percy.

"That had to hurt, right?" asked Rosie.

"'YES'!" Percy shouted in response, rubbing the back of his head.

"Then you're not dreaming," stated Rosie sweetly, as Thomas and Toby nodded at the same time, "And neither are we."

"Ah, a nonbeliever," rebutted Zordon, not fazed by what Percy said.

"Sorry, but we kinda don't believe your story, mister," Thomas responded harshly.

"Look behind you at the Viewing Globe," suggested Zordon, "Your doubts will be answered by the images you see."

Thomas and his friends did as they were told; they turned to face the nearby crystal globe. There, footage of a younger-looking Zordon before shifting to a laughing Rita Repulsa riding a small bike.

"This is Rita Repulsa, an intergalactic sorceress who is bent on controlling the universe," The voice of Zordon explained, as the footage shifted to a meadow field with Putties appearing, "With her henchmen and Putty Patrollers, she's plans to conquer Earth."

Once the crystal globe stopped showing the footage, the Sudrian teenagers looked at each other and turned to face Zordon one more time.

"What does all of this have to do with us?" pressed Emily.

She and her friends approached Zordon as they listened to him explain everything.

"The five of you have been chosen to form an elite team to battle Rita," The voice of Zordon answered, "Each of you will be given access to extraordinary powers drawn from the ancient creatures you call dinosaurs."

"Dinosaurs? But I thought they were-" started Rosie, but didn't finish.

"Behold! The key to your power!" The voice of Zordon declared.

A device materialized on the belt region of Thomas. A device materialized on the belt region of Percy. A device materialized on the belt region of Toby. A device materialized on the belt region of Emily. A device materialized on the belt region of Rosie. Percy took his and held it up in confusion.

"What are these trinkets supposed to be?" he asked curiously.

"These are your Power Morphers," said Zordon wisely, "When in danger, raise them to the sky calling your dinosaur's name," While he was explaining, Toby actually seemed impressed with the design of the device, "You will morph into a fighting force known to one and all as the Power Rangers."

"Morph?" gawked Rosie.

"Metamorphosis," corrected Toby.

"Huh?" Rosie peeped, turning to Toby.

"I think it means to change," reminded Emily.

"Oh."

"As Power Rangers you will…" continued Zordon, while the five confused Sudrian teenagers listened, "…have access to a universe of power and will command fighting force machines called 'Zords'."

"I don't get this… " Rosie thought to herself.

"Thomas Billinton, fearless and heroic. You shall command the Tyrannosaurus dinosaur," The voice of Zordon began, as Thomas looked up.

An image of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord appeared before Thomas.

"Percy Avonside, clever and brave. You shall command the Mastodon dinosaur," The voice of Zordon revealed, as Percy looked up.

An image of the Mastodon Dinozord appeared before Percy.

"Toby Holden, intelligent and resourceful. You shall command the Triceratops dinosaur," The voice of Zordon informed, as Toby looked up.

An image of the Triceratops Dinozord appeared before Toby.

"Emily Stirling, fiery and kind-hearted. You shall command the Sabertooth Tiger dinosaur," The voice of Zordon stated, as Emily looked up.

An image of the Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord appeared before Emily.

"Rosie Vulcan, spirited and graceful. You shall command the Pterodactyl dinosaur," The voice of Zordon finished, as Rosie looked up.

An image of the Pterodactyl Dinozord appeared before Rosie.

"Wait! How do you know our names anyway?" frowned Toby, who had been quiet for the last few minutes.

"Yeah, have you been spying on us somehow?" accused Emily.

"Oh no, we actually know all about the humans on Earth," Alpha piped up, bringing the eyes of Thomas and Percy upon him, "Thanks to our computers and databases."

"Now, observe the Viewing Globe again," urged Zordon, as Thomas and the likes obeyed and watched as footage of a battle ensued, "When you need help, you need only to turn to the power of the Dinozords, which will come together to form the mighty Megazord."

The Megazord Tank came to a stop. Fists soon folded out from the Mastodon part of Tank Mode. The bottom back of Tank Mode then started to rise up. Pretty soon, Tank Mode finished folding up into the body of the standing Megazord. Horns folded out on the head, eyes glowing, and a bright flash ensued. And with that, the Megazord posed, fully formed amid lightning. When the crystal globe again ceased showing footage, Percy was the first one to speak up about the whole thing.

"Power Morphers? Megazords? Insane sorceresses invading Earth?" scoffed Percy, facing Zordon and looking him in the eye, "Listen, sir, what you're telling us is way too much even for me."

"Didn't you say you were preparing for the day aliens would invade the planet though?" recalled Emily.

"Yeah, but I'm a lover, not a fighter," Percy argued, before addressing Zordon again, "I'll tell you what though, it's been real, but I gotta get home."

"Sorry, sir, but Percy does have a point," agreed Rosie, "None of us know anything about fighting evil aliens. Maybe it's better if you…" As she went on, Alpha appeared to look dismayed despite having no actual face, "…find people who are more capable for the job rather than just using teenagers like us?"

"Ay-yi-yi," bemoaned Alpha.

With that, Rosie, Percy, and Toby each started to leave, only to find Thomas and Emily both reluctant to follow them.

"Thomas? Emily?" The voice of Toby called out.

"You two coming or what?" The voice of Percy added.

"Huh?" realized Emily.

"Oh… Y-Yeah," accepted Thomas, as he and Emily turned and followed.

"Very well," replied Zordon, not worried he was refused, "May the power protect you."

"Well, that didn't go very well, did it?" sighed Alpha, "Ay-yi-yi."

Outside the building, the five teenagers emerged to find themselves somewhere in the Ffarquhar Quarry—a part of it they had never been to before.

"Peachy," grunted Rosie, "He could have at least sent us back into town. Instead, we're all way out here at the quarry."

"Nothing wrong with a little walk," soothed Emily, "It might give us a chance to dry off after that little swim."

She shook her still damp skirt and sighed when it stuck to her thighs.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon…

"Zordon, I'm surprised. Teenagers?" The voice of Rita was saying, mockingly.

On the palace balcony…

"So you think you can stop me, do you?" grumbled Rita, before calling out to Finister—who was busy working still in the workshop, "Finster, hurry up with that second batch of Putty Patrollers!"

"Yes, your evil madness," reassured Finster, working on and placing lumps of clay into the Putty molds, "I'm molding the last ones now."

"Those Putties will make space dust out of those kids," observed Squatt, as he, carrying a little hammer, and Baboo watched excitedly from nearby, "Won't they, Baboo?"

Finster lowered the top to the mold press, causing a steam sound to be heard.

"And the beauty part is if they don't succeed, we can always make more," The voice of Finster agreed, lifting the mold press and removing the three completed clay Putties from it. He placed the tray full of clay Putties onto the loading belt, "Now, into the Monster-Matic they go. Ten seconds should do it."

Finster began turning the wheel to send the tray into the oven. Once that was done, he grabbed the lever and pulled it down then back up, causing the Monster-Matic's exhaust pipe to steam out as it began working its magic. As the Monster-Matic's pipe continued to steam some more, something was actively rockin' through the output tube. Rita and Finster both watched as the Monster-Matic's output tube soon expelled smoke and sparks.

"Now, my Putties!" The voice of Rita commanded, as five Putties, one at a time, dropped out of the smoky port. She even made a fist in evil glee then looked to the right, "Prepare to get those teenagers!"

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

The group had been walking around the quarry for a few minutes. They tried to forget all about it, but they couldn't shake the words that Zordon told them—and Thomas was the most affected by them.

"Thomas?" blinked Rosie.

"You alright?" worried Toby.

"Guys, we shouldn't have left," sighed Thomas, "I mean, that Zordon guy chose us to save the world. I say we do it."

"Do you really think we can?" frowned Emily.

"But why us?" asked Toby, "We're not warriors."

"Hey, guys. I mean, you don't even know what you're talking about," protested Percy, "We were talking to a 'giant floating head'. Let's just all go home and write today off; this all never happened."

"Good point," remarked Rosie.

Unfortunately, they were unknowingly being watched by someone—and that someone was Rita herself, looking through her Repulsascope.

"Those stupid teenagers don't know who they're messing with!" The voice of Rita gloated.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita was looking into her Repulsascope, before looking out agape and turning around.

"Get the second patch of Putties ready!" ordered Rita, turning to talk to Goldar while Squatt and Baboo were messing around with a remote, "It's time!"

"Ha ha!" chuckled Goldar, responding.

Returning to the balcony, Rita started charging up magic in her scepter.

"Alright, take that!" howled Rita, firing towards Earth.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back at the quarry, a nearby explosion threw Thomas and the others back in surprise.

"Everybody down!" yelled Thomas.

When the explosion died down, everyone got up from the disturbance. Thomas went over and helped Emily back up.

"What was that?" The dark green-haired girl asked in concern.

Several Putties appeared out of thin air, and three of them even flipped through the air onto the scene to join their allies in surrounding their victims.

"Not these things again!" whined Rosie.

There were around eight or so Putties surrounding the five teenagers, and, unlike the last batch, they were going to eliminate them without failure. This time, the friends had to fight off their attackers. Thinking fast, Thomas spotted a stray shovel and upon grabbing it, whacked the first Putty who lunged at him.

"Everyone scatter!" ordered Thomas, as he swung at another Putty, who barely dodged, "Find something to fight with!"

Not wasting any time, the other teenagers sprinted through the first openings they saw and spread out, with the Putties also spreading out to catch them. Rosie used her gymnastic skills to get to a vantage point and saw a pile of sizable rocks next to her. Looking down, she saw three Putties attempting to scale the rocks to get to her.

"Hey, boys!" The voice of Rosie called from above, causing the Putties to stop briefly to look up and find her, "Heads up!"

She lobbed the rocks down at them, occasionally landing blows, but they just kept moving towards her. Meanwhile, Emily dove behind a nearby table, accidentally knocking it down and spilling the toolbox that was on top of it. Upon recovering from the tumble, she picked up a small mallet and a carving chisel that were among the pile of tools.

"These will do," she nodded.

With that, Emily ducked out of sight of the single Putty that followed her. Once it wasn't looking, Emily sprung out and struck it with her makeshift weapons. Despite the element of surprise, the Putty easily knocked her away with its right fist before going for her again. With no other option, Emily made a run for it. Percy and Toby managed to slip away together and find an open tool shed. Percy grabbed the first thing he saw, a fire ax, while Toby improvised by shoving a thick drill bit into a steel pipe.

"Let's do this!" asserted Toby.

"DEATH TO ALL ALIENS!" thundered Percy dramatically, only to be met with a deadpan look from Toby, "Sorry, it's been a rough day."

The two boys charged at the Putties chasing them and started pummeling them senselessly. The unhurt Putties merely shoved their beatings aside and grabbed them before throwing them a few feat away. Upon recovering, the two boys looked at each other.

"Now what, 'Alien Slayer'?" grumbled Toby sarcastically.

Percy saw the two Putties making a beeline toward them and could only think of one option.

"RUN!" screamed Percy.

And he and Toby did just that. Thomas meanwhile was dealing with the remaining two Putties. The shovel was proving effective at keeping them away, but he was quickly growing tired, and knew he couldn't continue much longer. Emily, still being chased by her Putty, saw Thomas cornered and charged straight at one of the Putties, delivering a hard kick to its head.

"Thomas, run!" urged Emily, as she took his hand and they made a break for it.

Rosie wasn't doing so well either. The three Putties were closing in on her from all angles, and the rocks she was flinging were not only doing little to deter them, but were running out fast. With no other option, Rosie leaped down the incline, using the Putties's heads as stepping stones, and slid back down to the ground, rejoining Thomas and Emily. As the three of them tried to outrun the Putties chasing them, they bumped into Percy and Toby who were coming from the opposite end of the quarry circle they were in, trapping them from both ends.

"You guys, too?!" panicked Percy.

"We couldn't stop them!" Toby stated, terrified, "They just wouldn't let up!"

"Okay! This day has gone far enough!" complained Emily, "First we almost died in a cavern, then we had a meeting with a floating head and a talking robot against our will, and now THIS?!"

"This is too weird!" screeched Rosie.

"Well, look on the bright side," responded Percy, trying to lighten things up as the Putties continued to surround their victims while making menacing poses, "It looks like we got 'em."

"Yeah, right where they want us!" The voice of Rosie pointed out.

"What are we gonna do now?" worried Emily.

"I vote to scream for someone to help us," suggested Rosie.

Percy and Toby looked at each other and seemed to agree, but, suddenly, Thomas remembered something important as he took his Power Morpher from his belt buckle and held it up to show his friends.

"Wait! Zordon said these Power Morphers will give us power," he recalled, "Let's do it!"

They all hoped that was the case and faced the Putties one last time—when the new devices they had activated on their own account.

(Morphing sequence)

A stylized lightning bolt struck in front of a purple circle, behind was a black background. Crackling around the lightning bolt and circle were blue energy bolts (with some yellow and pink also present). The morphing sequence was as followed; each teenager was seen holding out his/her open Power Morpher inside the image of a giant open Power Morpher, with the teenager being surrounded by Ranger-colored electricity shown within what would have been the Morpher's red inside area.

"Mastodon!" called Percy.

"Pterodactyl!" called Rosie.

"Triceratops!" called Toby.

"Sabertooth Tiger!" called Emily.

"Tyrannosaurus!" called Thomas.

After the morphing calls ended, it zoomed in on Thomas' face, over which appeared to be a fiery red grid; the grid split vertically to reveal the Red Ranger helmet, then it faded into white with a negative color effect.

(End morph)

The new team of morphed Power Rangers all then posed with their Blade Blasters in Sword mode.

"Power Rangers!" The five Rangers declared in unison.

A pair of confused Putties ceased looking at each other, then the left one scratched the top of its head. The Ranger team all then took a moment to look at what they've just become. Each of the Ranger suits were composed of a glossy metallic-like spandex material and had the same general design with white diamond plates on the chest, white arm gauntlets that sported the same diamond plates around them, white metallic boots with the same diamond plate patterns around the shins, belts with their Morpher on the buckle, and a white gun holster (for their Blade Blasters) attached to the right hip, and a thick helmet to cover their head and face (with metallic mouth pieces), and also to conceal identities. The diamond plates dotted around the suits also emitted a soft bluish glow. But the colors of the suits as well as the helmet's visor design were dependent on the teenager wearing the suit; Red, Black, Yellow, Blue, and Pink—with the Pink Ranger suit also sporting a skirt.

"Wow…" Percy (Black Ranger) said out loud, "Check us out!"

"My gosh, we look so cool!" squealed Rosie (Pink Ranger) happily.

"Totally!" agreed Emily (Yellow Ranger), briefly looking down at herself and raising an eyebrow in her helmet, "Does this make my hips look fat?"

"This is amazing!" Toby (Blue Ranger) nodded with pride.

"You're right on that, Toby!" concluded Thomas (Red Ranger).

The team then charged towards the Putties, now able to fight them properly.

(Command Center)

Inside the Command Center interior, Alpha was jumping up and down happily as the new Power Ranger team defeated the Putties at the quarry.

"Zordon, they've done it! They made the metamorphosis!" he cheered.

"Good. Teleport them to downtown Knapford City. Rita just sent down Goldar," requested Zordon, keeping a straight and stoic face.

"Right away, Zordon," obeyed Alpha.

He walked over to the console and pressed a few buttons. Blue Ranger and Black Ranger both suddenly leap up into the sky by force.

"We're teleporting again!" cried Toby.

Yellow Ranger and Pink Ranger both suddenly leap up into the sky by force.

"Where are we going?" asked Rosie.

Red Ranger suddenly leaped up into the sky by force.

"We're going to save the world!" declared Thomas confidently.

Racing through the rocky landscape were five colored teleportation streaks before they shot themselves ahead.

(Knapford City)

Soon the light steaks all dimmed, and they appeared somewhere in Knapford City. Red Ranger gestured an arm into the air.

"All right! Let's do this!" proclaimed Thomas.

And the five new Power Rangers posed on the rooftop of a tall building. Just then, a familiar face appeared before the group in the form of Goldar, as he dropped down from the sky in slow motion with a mighty shout. He landed on the rooftop, and some more Putties—the same ones that went with him to Earth—suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and he issued them a brief, but forceful, command with just an arm motion and the swing of his sword.

"GET THEM!" roared Goldar.

The Putties wasted no time in beginning their attack, and they charged forth to engage the five new Rangers. One Putty with a bladehand raised its weapon and attempted to strike Red Ranger, but he ducked under the attack and decked the Putty in the face, just in time to dodge another Putty's attack and elbow it away before kicking a third Putty down, causing it to turn into a clay doll, which it was before being turned alive by Finster earlier on. Black Ranger kicked a Putty in its chest, then elbowed it in the back, knocking it to the ground. He then grabbed another Putty and threw it off the building before flipping off the edge to follow suit. Blue Ranger blocked another bladehand Putty's attack, elbowed it, delivered a kick, then a sweeping kick to throw yet another Putty onto the ground. Pink Ranger kicked at one Putty and flipped off of it, did a forward handspring, then flipped another Putty down. That Putty turned back into a clay doll, just like the last Putty. Yellow Ranger jumped into the air, landed on one Putty, footswept another Putty, then she backflipped onto the upper roof.

"Hey!" wondered Emily, reaching into the holster on her left hip, "I wonder…" She pulled out her Blade Blaster and reconfigured it into Blaster mode, "…what this does?"

From there, Yellow Ranger aimed her Blade Blaster and opened fire, firing three laser shots at three Putties on the lower half of the roof, causing an explosion of sparks which knocked them over. Fed up, Goldar jumped into the air and slashed his sword down, sparkly striking Red Ranger's chest and turning before slashing his side for more sparking damage. A third slash from Goldar sparkly threw Red Ranger to the ground, rolling along before getting back up.

"Think you're so tough, do you?" taunted Goldar, approaching menacingly with his sword.

"We're plenty tough," The voice of Thomas retorted, as he reached for his Blade Blaster in the holster. He pulled the weapon out and converted it to Sword mode, "Now let's see about you."

"Gladly!" accepted Goldar.

Both enemies circled each other, waiting for one side to make a move first. Red Ranger was the one who made it, running towards Goldar, who took it as a challenge and ran forth, too. Both sides closed in and slashed each other sparkly, then they clipped against each other and delivered another sparking slash with their weapons. Red Ranger then tried rolling around Goldar before getting back up and clashing weapons. Both sides were just too evenly matched.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, all was quiet on the outside. Inside the workshop, Finster, Baboo, and Squatt were there when Rita marched in, causing them to react in fright because of how miffed she looked.

"Finster, those stupid Putties are getting beaten by a bunch of pimple-faced nitwits!" berated Rita, "They're pathetic!"

"How about making Goldar big with your wand?" suggested Squatt, jerking his head (up, up, and right) while talking.

"Oh, I always have to do everything myself!" growled Rita, before turning to Finster, who nodded, and leaving, "Finster, I'll deal with you later!"

"Oh dear," groaned Finster, while nodding some more as he stood at his clay workspace.

Returning to the balcony, Rita was prepared to take the fight on Earth to the next level in her own way.

"Magic wand, make my Goldar grow!" yelled Rita, readying her hand before throwing it.

(Space to Earth)

Rita's scepter soared to Earth through outer space, where it passed through the atmosphere staked into the dirt. From there, it unleashed energy from its center orb, and energy rippled into the ground beneath causing a quake to ensue. Goldar rose up while growing amid the fading smoke, roaring loudly.

(Knapford City)

Back on the roof, the Rangers, having just been knocked over from the seismic wave, stood up and looked upward. There, they found Goldar, now a giant, walking through Knapford City before stopping. The Rangers soon spotted their new enemy.

"Look at that!" exclaimed Thomas, still armed with his Blade Blaster in Sword mode while feeling slightly panicked.

"That guy suddenly got huge!" put in Percy.

Goldar took one step forward, stopped, and he looked down at the five small Power Rangers, thinking that they weren't anything special—he believed they would be easy pickings. The new Rangers weren't afraid, however, and began a roll call on the rooftop to show off their new-found confidence.

"Red Ranger!" shouted Thomas, standing with the blue sky as a background as he posed with both arms up, crossing to a pose to the left, then a final one to the right, "Tyrannosaurus!"

"Black Ranger!" shouted Percy, standing with the blue sky as a background as he went from posing to the left, to posing to the right, in all three motions, "Mastodon!"

"Blue Ranger!" shouted Toby, standing with the blue sky as a background while crossing both arms in front of face before posing down in a crouch, then another to the left, "Blue Ranger!"

"Yellow Ranger!" shouted Emily, standing with the blue sky as a background as she punched left hand forth, right hand down, left hand down with right arm up behind her in a pose. She then quickly punched with right hand downward, before thrusting left hand outward, right arm curled behind, "Sabertooth Tiger!"

"Pink Ranger!" shouted Rosie, standing with the blue sky as a background while raising both arms at her sides then crossing at the wrist in front of chest, bending down and throwing arms back like wings before standing back up and crossing arms as she held her right arm up and back while left hand was held poised near waist, "Pterodactyl!"

Red Ranger, with the blue sky as the background, was still posing, but then ceased it before crossing both arms, and then reaching out with right arm.

"Mighty Morphin…" began Thomas.

The five Rangers posed fiercely on a white background, causing five Power Coin images to appear behind them amid gleaming light.

"…Power Rangers!" The five Rangers finished with a battle cry.

Goldar was unimpressed, and raised his sword in an attempt to destroy the building and strike the new Power Rangers team down. On the building, Red Ranger quickly gestured his right arm into the sky.

"I sure hope this works…" Thomas thought to himself, remembering what Zordon mentioned about "Zords" before calling something aloud, "We need Dinozord power, now!"

From the middle of nowhere, the nearby ground began breaking open to reveal bursting flames from within a fault line. A crack in the ground then spread open, releasing a fireball from within the crack. It was then the head of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord slowly rose from the molten red ground. Finally, the Tyrannosaurus rose up from above the fiery molten pit before straightening up amid flames and smoke. The Mastodon Dinozord was seen surfacing from its icy domain, where it exhaled an icy breath from its trunk. The Mastodon then started to stomp through the snow until it was then shown fully walking through the arctic. The Triceratops Dinozord appeared within the sands of the desert. Soon enough, the Triceratops raised its head and opened its mouth to roar while driving through the dusty Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord, which was shown sprinting through the jungle. It then opened its mouth and let out a mighty roar. The Sabertooth Tiger then leaped out of the greenery, soaring through the sky. A nearby volcano started to erupt. Inside, the Pterodactyl Dinozord soared upwards amid lava lights. The Pterodactyl finally flew away from the smoking volcano and headed towards the trees. Back in Knapford City, Red Ranger was looking upward.

"They made it!" acknowledged Thomas, gesturing right arm before leaping up.

Red Ranger leaped up into the sky towards the Tyrannosaurus, which chomped and bared down as it watched its master come towards it. Red Ranger continued leaping up, passing beneath the Tyrannosaurus's jaw before finally landing up atop of the Tyrannosaurus's head, and then after a few seconds, he dropped inside. Red Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, and he gestured an arm.

"Log on, everyone!" ordered Thomas, gesturing his left arm.

Down below, the other four Rangers raced forth before Black Ranger brought both his feet together and began to leap upward. Blue Ranger and Black Ranger both leap up into the sky, and were followed by both Yellow Ranger and Pink Ranger leaving into the sky.

"Let's go!" cried Percy.

"Going up?" joked Emily.

Black Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Mastodon Dinozord, and he gestured an arm.

"This is Percy. I'm ready to rock!" announced Percy.

Blue Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Triceratops Dinozord, and he gestured with both arms.

"Toby here. Let's save the day!" announced Toby.

Yellow Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord, and she gestured with both arms.

"This is Emily. Let's push this guy off our island!" announced Emily.

Pink Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Pterodactyl Dinozord, and she gestured an arm.

"Rosie here. Ooh, nice stereo!" announced Rosie, momentarily getting distracted.

The Pterodactyl swooped to the right under a darkened sky. Meanwhile, Goldar growled over the opponents he faced. Still, he was confident it would be an easy battle to win, since the Rangers were mere beginners. In the Tyrannosaurus cockpit, Red Ranger looked around the cockpit as he heard a voice telepathically speaking to him. It was Zordon.

"Rangers, if you want to stop Goldar, you will need to combine your Zords into one. Leave this part to me," The voice of Zordon advised.

The Tyrannosaurus and its fellow Dinozords all raced alongside the horizon.

"Whoa!" The voice of Toby cried out.

"They're combining!" The voice of Percy exclaimed in amazement.

"This is so cool!" The voice of Rosie rejoiced.

The Sabertooth Tiger roared out, just before it suddenly went and locked itself into leg form, while the Triceratops opened its mouth while experiencing the desert breeze. Just then, it went and folded up its tail, and the Tyrannosaurus soon went and connected with the Triceratops and the Sabertooth Tiger legs electrically. The Mastodon briefly exhaled an icy breath from its trunk, but, just as quickly, it floated through the air in its component form. Soon, it went and connected with the Tyrannosaurus, causing a pulse of energy throughout. The Megazord Tank was formed successfully. The Triceratops's wheels continued to pass through the gravel of the quarry. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers had gathered.

"All right, guys, let's go get them!" proclaimed Thomas, looking at his teammates.

"Right!" Percy, Toby, Emily, and Rosie agreed at once.

The whole team raised fists. Their moment of triumph was short-lived when Goldar flung fireballs from his glowing sword. The Megazord Tank got blasted by multiple explosions, and the Rangers in the Megazord cockpit shook as it, too, got blasted with two explosions.

"You and your weapons are no match for me!" hissed Goldar, jerking his head up, stepping forward, and raising sword.

In the Megazord cockpit with dazed Rangers, Red Ranger was able to stand up slightly and look downward around as slightly crooked as the place was.

"All right, guys, let's see what this baby can do!" suggested Thomas proudly.

On cue, the Megazord Tank fired from both of its cannons, causing Goldar to get blasted with an explosion. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger gripped the control.

"Yeah! Zap him again!" cheered Thomas.

The Megazord Tank fired colored energy bolts from each of the Zords. Goldar suffered another blast, resulting in a more powerful explosion that threw him to the ground, causing a quake. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers celebrated the damage they inflicted on Goldar when Zordon telepathically spoke to them again.

"Now, transform into Megazord Battle Mode," The voice of Zordon echoed.

"You heard him, guys! Ready to get serious?" asked Thomas, as he gestured a fist before grabbing the control with both hands.

Both Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger gave thumbs up to their leader then gripped their controls with both hands.

"Ready!" Toby and Emily answered at the same time.

Both Pink Ranger and Black Ranger gave thumbs up to their leader then gripped their controls with both hands.

"Same!" Rosie and Percy put in at the same time.

Megazord Tank then came to a stop. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger raised a fist up, then forth, then gripped a control.

"Battle Mode, now!" announced Thomas.

To that end, he slapped his left hand down on the palm activator. This caused the display of the Red Ranger helmet to lighten up. Then Red Ranger slapped his right hand down on the other palm activator, which caused the console display of the Red Ranger helmet and Red Ranger Zord face to shoot energy to the Tyrannosaurus symbol at the top which began to glow brightly. Fists soon folded out from the Mastodon part of Tank Mode.

"Megazord sequence has been initiated," A computer aboard the Megazord was heard saying.

The bottom back of Tank Mode started to rise up. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers watched through the window while Tank Mode folded upward. Pretty soon, Tank Mode finished folding up into the body of the standing Megazord. Suddenly, the Pterodactyl soared downward from the sky and folded into the chest component as it headed to the Megazord's body below. The Tyrannosaurus's head folded down, revealing the Megazord head as the Pterodactyl connected as the chest plate, horns folded out on the head, eyes glowing, and a bright flash ensued.

"Megazord activated!" finished the computer.

And the Megazord posed, fully formed amid lightning. Not to be out done, Goldar leaped up with sword, right knee raised, then fell towards the Megazord, which just stood in its spot while looking kinda down. From there, Goldar raised his sword, grabbed with both hands, and slashed down, smacking it with one hand against the window of the Megazord cockpit, causing it to shake, with the Rangers rattled—except Red Ranger, who recovered quickly to grab the controls. Goldar then raised his sword and slashed the Megazord in its chest sparkly, tried stabbing at it, but it fought back, shoving Goldar away, then smacking the sword away before Goldar prepared to strike again. The Megazord, however, threw a punch, hitting Goldar in his chest, sparkly, but it caused the Megazord to stumble back slightly, smoking. Goldar readied the sword in right hand and began to slash Megazord sparkly a few times in retaliation, before the giant robot bopped him one, throwing Goldar to the ground, causing another quake. The Megazord stood in place looking surprisingly concerned. In the Megazord cockpit, Blue Ranger started speaking concernedly to Red Ranger.

"Thomas, that blow didn't faze him!" panicked Toby.

"I know!" responded Thomas, who gestured his fingers into a fist then gripped the control dramatically.

Goldar bound back to his feet and swung the sword back to the ready. In the Megazord cockpit…

"He's coming at us!" warned Thomas, alarmed.

Goldar hopped into a leaping kick with both feet forward, and the Megazord got its already-smoking chest smashed by the feet as Goldar kicked it sparkly. A bright flashing burst faded to show the Megazord cockpit shaking about, but Red Ranger was able to turn around to his team then back again.

"Hang on!" advised Thomas.

Goldar raised his sword back to ready position. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger and Pink Ranger looked from their right to the lower center.

"Look out!" gasped Thomas.

The Megazord put its arms into a battle-ready position, as Goldar attacked with his sword twice, but it blocked each blow, only to be struck by a right leg kick. The Megazord cockpit shook, but the Rangers held onto their controls.

"You fools are finished!" snarled Goldar viciously, holding up his sword and a claw.

A sword suddenly plummeted from the dark and stormy skies (Zordon's doing), impaling the ground while surging with electricity. When the Megazord tried to grip its handle, it couldn't get it with its left hand, so it grabbed the sword instead with its right hand. Now armed, the Megazord then gestured its Mega Sword into a battle-ready position, ending with it surging out a shining prism effect from its tip. However, Goldar gestured with his left arm, switched his sword from the right hand to left, then raised the right hand.

"Argh! This isn't over, I'll be back!" raged Goldar.

He vanished from the battlefield completely. The Megazord stood victorious while armed with its Mega Sword. In the Megazord cockpit, the male Rangers raised their fists in triumph, while Yellow Ranger grabbed Blue Ranger's arm and Pink Ranger looked sharply to the right.

"We did it!" whooped Toby.

(Rita's Palace)

Back on the balcony in the Lunar Palace, you can bet Rita was NOT at all a happy camper when Goldar, who returned to normal size, had left the battle just like that—her henchmen appeared to be upset by her bad temper.

"I can't believe they beat us back!" screeched Rita angrily.

"This is all your fault, Squatt. You should've helped," scolded Baboo, who bonked Squatt on the head three times.

Rita kept pitching a fit as she began to storm off the balcony.

"Goldar, you failed!" accused Rita.

"It won't happen again, Empress!" vowed Goldar, while gesturing his sword twice forth.

"Shut up! I've got a headache!" snapped Rita.

By now, she had stormed off from the chamber in a huff, leaving Finster cowering, Goldar kneeling, and Baboo and Squatt quivering with terror.

(Command Center)

Inside the Command Center, Thomas and the others had returned to speak to Zordon and Alpha about their experience fighting Goldar. They were still morphed, but had set their helmets off and on the nearby table.

"You did well in driving Rita's forces back," praised Zordon, as the five teenagers listened, "But she is nothing if not persistent, and thus will return."

"Just let her try!" dared Rosie, jabbing a few punches, "We'll send her and her Putties to the next galaxy!"

As Rosie was punching and kicking at the air, Toby looked closely at his suit.

"These suits are incredible. What exactly are they made of?" he puzzled, remembering Thomas and Goldar's brief fight, "Goldar's sword just bounced off Thomas like it was almost nothing."

"Yeah, and how come we were suddenly able to fight with those weapons and do all those sick moves out there?" inquired Emily, "Thomas, Percy, and I know martial arts, yes, and Rosie is a gymnast, but, overall, we knew nothing about those other fighting skills."

"The Ranger Armor you're wearing is composed of what is known as Zyu; it is the strongest material from my home planet of Eltar," explained Zordon, as Alpha looked at the Ranger teens and nodded at them as though he agreed, "It allows for full body protection, while also providing maximum maneuverability."

"And they're also very fashionable," added Alpha.

"No argument there, Alpha," chuckled Rosie, looking at her skirt, "Kinda frilly though, ain't it?"

"As for how you were able to easily hold your own against Goldar and the Putties," began Zordon, "The suits grant you superhuman strength and agility, as well the extensive combat knowledge of the previous Rangers, thus allowing you to use your weapons so effectively on your first attempt."

"Previous Rangers?" repeated Thomas, as Percy, Rosie, and Toby reacted in surprise, "You mean to say we're not the first ones?"

"The Power Rangers were founded on my planet many millennia ago," revealed Zordon, as Thomas and Emily looked at each other a moment and back, "Composed of the finest warriors chosen to defend the universe from evil," He seemed to crack a smile, "And now, that honor has been bestowed upon you."

"Are you sure?" fretted Percy, "I mean, we were pretty lucky out there because you helped us with Goldar. If you didn't help us, we would have been goners."

"Luck had nothing to do with it. Given time and practice, your skills as the new Rangers will advance," assured Zordon, "You need each other now, and the world needs you."

"Well… if you say so," smiled Percy, feeling better.

"I dunno, you guys… The outfits are cool, but being an intergalactic motorcycle ninja isn't exactly my dream job," complained Emily, "Plus, that helmet tangles up my hair something fierce. Sorry, but I think I'm out."

"Oh, Emily," uttered Rosie sadly.

"Oh no, Emily," whimpered Alpha.

The others stared at Emily in disbelief, only for her to crack a smile and reveal the gag.

"Nooooot!" she yelled playfully, before winking and gesturing her right arm, "No space witch is gonna rule our planet or home on my watch!"

"Circuit overload. Circuit overload. Ay-yi-yi!" screeched Alpha, suddenly blowing a fuse.

"Hey, hey, don't blow a fuse, Alpha! I was just kidding," comforted Emily.

"Ay-yi-yi! Oh, humor—what a concept," muttered Alpha.

Thomas stepped forth, "Zordon, we accept this honor and will do everything in our power to stop Rita once and for all."

"Very good, young Thomas," said Zordon approvingly, "However, if you are all to become full time Rangers, there are three important rules you must adhere to, lest you risk losing your powers," The five Sudrian teenagers listened carefully to his rules, "One, you must never use your powers for personal gain. Two, you must never escalate a conflict unless forced to do so. And three, your identities must remain secret, even to friends and family," He looked serious over the third rule in particular, "As not only will you compromise your own safety, but theirs too. Do you all understand?"

Percy, Emily, Toby, and Rosie stepped forth as well, giving unwavering nods.

"From this moment, we're a team who fights together," acknowledged Thomas, "We shall be known as…"

"…the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!" All five teenagers ended at the same time.

Thomas and Percy high fived, with the latter giving a fist bump to Toby, while Emily and Rosie hugged each other. Rosie then turned and pecked Thomas on the cheek, much to his surprise. Only for Emily to retaliate by quickly grabbing him and pulling him into a deep kiss, to which he happily returned after a second—much to the amusement of Toby and Percy, but to Rosie's annoyance and jealousy. As of now, a new team of heroes had been born.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Later in the evening, Diesel and Dennis finally managed to get themselves out of the cave after spending nearly three hours wandering around inside it.

"Oh boy, Dennis… we made it…" Diesel panted, quite relieved, "We got out of that rotten cave! Granted we escaped with no treasure, but we're still alive."

Dennis pulled himself up, also relieved—only to freeze in shock at what he saw.

"Um… Diesel?" stammered Dennis.

Diesel looked over, "Hm?"

"Look," gasped Dennis, pointing ahead, "What's that?"

Diesel looked to where Dennis was pointing, and when he did, his eyes nearly popped out.

"Gah!" wailed Diesel.

In the hard ground in front of the two boys was a large foot-shaped impression. It turned out that the battle between the Megazord and Goldar occurred near the cave Diesel and Dennis were still inside at the time.

"Oh, it's nothing, just a…" Diesel said calmly, before screaming his next line, "…GIANT FOOTPRINT!"

Dennis and Diesel hugged each other and screamed in fear at the same time. Well, at least they're okay, wouldn't you agree?

If there's anyone out there who remembers my old Thomas/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fanfic, I want to say that I was very unhappy with how it turned out and so I deleted it—I still have the older copies of each chapter on hand though. But now I present the beginning of a complete remake of the whole story. DaveMan1000 is helping me with it, so hopefully this version will turn out so much better than the last version. We have plenty of ideas for it, so hopefully this story will catch your interest. Anyway, for this version of "Day of the Dumpster", there are elements from not only the aired episode itself, but also the pilot version, even from Zyuranger, and even from the 2017 Power Rangers film. There will be plenty of good adventures ahead, so stay tuned.
