Title: High Five

It was another lovely day in Knapford City; the sun was shining, the weather was decent for a weekend during an early September morning, and there was fun to be had at one of the most popular hangouts for a person of any age, the Youth Center owned by Victor and his assistant Kevin. Present inside the gym section were Thomas, Percy, and Emily, waiting for Toby and Rosie to show up—the former due to him working on something secretive, and the latter due to her being at cheerleading practice. They were joined by James Hughes, Gordon Gresley, and Henry Stanier. The first had stylized red hair, the second had short blue hair like Thomas, and the third had short green hair like Percy.

"Man, I'm so hungry," complained Percy, walking away as Thomas and Emily watched him, "If anyone needs me, I'll be seeing what's taking so long with my breakfast."

He approached the counter of the Food Bar, sat down on the stool, and waited.

"What do ya want?" The voice of Dennis stated, causing Percy to look up. It turned out he was working at the bar as an intern, "Make it quick, since I'm about to go on break."

"Great…" grumbled Percy, "Listen, I ordered some scrambled eggs and bacon an hour ago!" As he ranted, Dennis just yawned while looking bored, "Where is it?!"

"Oh, right, I nearly forgot," replied Dennis absentmindedly, as he took the nearby tray of food. He started bringing it to Percy before, at the last second, dropping it, "Whoops!"

The tray collapsed onto the floor and ruined the food. Dennis, in a nonchalant sort of way, gathered the spoiled scrambled eggs and bacon, placed it back on the tray, and set it in-front of Percy on the counter.

"Here," offered Dennis, before turning to leave, "Enjoy."

"Dennis, that's disgusting!" accused Percy, as Dennis kept walking, "Get me a fresh one!"

"Sorry, but I'm on break," Dennis rebutted, grinning cheekily.

An extremely unhappy Percy got up from the counter with the tray, took it to a garbage can, sent the spoiled food there, then returned to the gym section to meet with his friends.

"Dennis did it to you again, didn't he?" frowned Emily.

"Gee, what was your first clue?" grunted Percy sardonically, "Doh, that Dennis! He's just so… so…!"

"Disgraceful!" said Gordon.

"Disgusting!" put in James.

"Despicable!" finished Henry.

"I was actually gonna say lazy, but, sure, those three things, too," shrugged Percy, before sighing dejectedly, "Why, oh why, did Victor ever hire Dennis in the first place?"

Before an answer could be given, Rosie and the cheerleading squad arrived. Alongside Rosie was a dark-skinned girl about her age who had braided black hair, and purple eyes; she was Nia Kur-Billinton. Behind them were two identical twin girls, both with bluish-white hair and bright green eyes; one with hers done up in a ponytail by two blue bows, while the other's hung short and loose. They were the Crewe twins, Pip and Emma. The final girl, Daisy Cammell, had long blonde hair, brown eyes, and an aura of self-importance to her demeanor. All five girls were dressed in the Sodor High School cheerleader uniform consisting of a blue tank top, blue pleated skirt, blue socks, and turquoise and blue sneakers. None of the members of the squad appeared to be very happy.

"Hey, girls!" greeted Gordon, as the group of girls continued to look down, "Whoa, you all don't look too pleased. Did practice not go as you were hoping?"

"Sadly not," sighed Rosie, before scowling, "And it's all because of Daisy!" As she rambled on, Emma and Pip both had to nod in agreement—while Daisy began to look offended, "She's not doing her part, and we're afraid of messing up the routine for the next game as a result of it."

"Excuse me?!" snapped Daisy, "I'll have you know that I 'have' been doing my part!" A very cross Rosie glared in response, "It's you losers who are falling behind!"

A back and forth between both teenage girls ensued, with Nia, standing beside Thomas and Emily, shaking her head, while Emma and Pip having to eventually hold them back before they got into a catfight.

"Alright, break it up you two," advised Emma, holding Rosie back.

"This doesn't need to get messier," added Pip, holding Daisy back.

Finally, Daisy shook Pip off and turned around to leave.

"Oh, whatever," she snorted, "Catch you later; I'm off to find my big, strong boyfriend."

Once Daisy was gone, Rosie groaned and laid down on the floor, appearing very frustrated.

"Ugh!" sulked Rosie, as Nia looked over at her with concern, "Nia, since you're captain of our squad, why can't you just kick Daisy off the team?"

"Sorry, Rosie, but we don't have any replacements for the routine," answered Nia, as she helped Rosie back up, "It's likely best for us to try and power through with who we've got."

Pip and Emma both had to agree with that, with Thomas and the others feeling for the cheerleading squad. Eventually, however, Thomas looked nearby at the climbing rope and smiled adventurously.

"I don't know about you guys," said Thomas, as Henry and Percy looked over, "but I'm in the mood for some climbing."

Rosie looked over, watching Thomas approach the climbing rope. Almost in an instant, her mood brightened considerably.

"Hey, that's a good idea, Thomas!" encouraged Rosie, as Thomas finished approaching the rope, "I once gave the rope a try and reached the top," She winked, "I know you can make it!"

"Time to go up-and-up, dude!" grinned James.

Thomas started climbing the rope as his friends watched.

"Come on, Thomas!" whooped Percy.

"You can make it!" added Henry.

As Emily watched Thomas climb up, she suddenly looked unsettled as she remembered the fall she and her friends took in that cavern on the day she and the others became Power Rangers. Before long, she went from excited to outright scared.

"Thomas, Thomas, be careful!" called Emily fearfully, as Thomas briefly stopped climbing to look down, "If you slip, you could fall and really hurt yourself!"

"Hey, back off, Emily!" frowned James.

"You're gonna make him nervous," scolded Gordon.

Near the ceiling…

"Nervous? Nah, I never get nervou-" scoffed Thomas, before briefly slipping, "Whoa!"

Emily let out a shriek, thinking Thomas was going to fall down. Luckily, that was not the case as he caught himself.

"…when I climb," concluded Thomas.

"W-Well, you should be," retorted Emily, still nervous.

"Is that so?" chuckled James, as Rosie and Nia approached him.

"If anyone needs me," The voice of Emily, as she turned to leave, "I'll be over at the exercise machines. At least it's down to Earth there."

"Why don't you give it a try?" suggested Henry.

"What, are you kidding me?" refused Emily, backing away, "Forget it! You'll never catch me climbing anything that high."

"Looks like somebody's got a case of height fright," teased James.

"Back off, James," Rosie cut in, as faded clips of the incident at the cave were superimposed over her, "She became afraid of heights thanks to that fall in the cavern you and Gordon told us about."

"Easy, Emily," soothed Nia, walking over and touching Emily's right arm, "We're sorry about your fear. I know you'll beat it someday."

Emily smiled, thankful for the support. At last, Toby arrived to meet with his friends.

"He-eey, Toby, you made it!" rejoiced Percy.

Both teenage boys high-fived.

"Why were you late getting here, anyway?" pressed Gordon.

"Well, actually, I do have some exciting news to disseminate," responded Toby, as Thomas started climbing down, "See, I've made a significant breakthrough…" He remained unaware of what was coming, "…regarding the cross-"

"Toby, heads up!" The voice of Thomas echoed.

Before Toby knew it, Thomas was sitting on his shoulders while clutching onto the rope. Toby yelped as he and Thomas swung around and around before Thomas let go of the rope and sent the both of them nearby where Emily was standing. Luckily, no one was hurt.

"Bubbling Sodas," slurred Toby.

"Great ride, huh?" grinned Thomas.

"It sure was!" The voice of Percy exclaimed, as he and Rosie approached, "You guys really should try out for the circus!"

"Psshaw! Get real!" The voice of Diesel dismissed.

To the displeasure of the Tidmouth Teens, Diesel and his gang, which included five members of the Smelters House at school by the names of 'Arry and Bert Hilton and Dodge and Splatter Doncaster, including Daisy who had gone to find them, chose that moment to arrive.

"The circus doesn't take geek clowns," mocked Diesel.

"Geek clowns… Hehehe… Sick burn, Diesel," praised Dodge.

"Oh brother, not them," fumed Emily.

"Oh yes, miss Stirling," huffed Daisy harshly, "It's us."

"You've got a problem with that, girly?" pushed 'Arry rudely, and, when Emily never responded back, looked very satisfied, "I didn't think so."

Emily growled, but still didn't say anything. But Henry sure did.

"Come on, leave her alone," he urged firmly, "We never did anything to you guys, so why bug us?"

"Oh, we know the answer to that," snickered Bert, as Rosie, Nia, Emma, and Pip listened while frowning, "Because bugging you is funny."

Diesel, Arry, Bert, Dodge, Splatter, and Daisy all laughed meanly. Percy soon walked up to them in an attempt to talk them down.

"Why don't you guys just crawl back to the ooze you came from?" warned Percy, yet was intimidated at the same time.

Diesel smirked, "Oh, that's funny," he hissed menacingly, "Especially since it's coming from the friend of the monkey man here."

"M-Monkey man?" Percy spluttered.

"Hey," The voice of Thomas interrupted, as Diesel looked over. He looked rather firm, "At least I can make it all the way to the top. Which isn't too easy by the way."

This made Diesel and his gang very cross.

"Hey, hey, hey!" accused Daisy angrily, getting into Thomas's face, "You saying that my big, strong boyfriend can't do it? Yeah, that's what you're saying alright."

"I didn't say it; you did," corrected Thomas bluntly.

"Hey! How dare you talk that way to 'my' girl!" growled Diesel, pushing Daisy aside and getting into Thomas's face, "Step aside and let me show you how it's done!"

With that said, Diesel was led to the climbing rope as everyone else gathered around.

"Are you sure you know how to work this thing?" deadpanned Rosie.

"Well, of course, I do!" insisted Diesel, glaring, "What do you think I am, stupid?"

"Do you actually want us to answer that?" Nia responded, with a mocking smirk on her face.

"Well, you know what they say," joked Percy, "If the rope fits, climb it."

"Nobody says that," Toby pointed out.

Ignoring the jabs at him, Diesel began scaling the rope; finding it a little harder than he originally thought. Everyone watched as he struggled to pull himself up bit by bit. Once he was almost to the top, Diesel looked down with a smug grin in an attempt to rub his achievement in their faces, only to suddenly lose his focus, causing him to grip the rope hard as he slid down fast and landed back on the mat. Everyone, except for Daisy, began laughing.

"Oooooooooh! That's gotta hurt…" cringed Percy.

"ROPE BURN!" wailed Diesel, with his hands blistering and burning.

That made nearly everyone else laugh harder.

"Oh yeah, Diesel, you really showed us this time, didn't you?" said Rosie sarcastically.

"Yeah. You showed them!" beamed Splatter stupidly.

"Idiot!" berated Daisy, as she helped Diesel up, "Come on, Diesel-kins, we'll get some ice for your hands."

With that said, the gang led their seething leader away in search of Victor and getting ice and bandages for his hands.

"Man, oh man, that was one for the scrapbook," chortled James.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, high up on one of the towers, Rita's laughter could be heard coming from inside the place.

"Those Power Rangers are going to wish they never tangled with me!" The voice of Rita bragged.

On the empty balcony, Rita crossed along as the pendulum swung about.

"I'll trap them in a time warp the same way I did Zordon," Rita was saying to no one in particular, before speaking over the side of the balcony, "and when I'm through, the world is going to be mine!"

Between Earth and the Lunar surface of the Moon in outer space, her cackling laughter echoed throughout.

(Youth Center)

Back in Knapford City and outside the Youth Center…

"So, uh, what were you working on that made you late?" The voice of James wondered.

Inside the building, James was looking curious to know what Toby had been up to. Gordon seemed very interested, too.

"Come on, tell us!" begged Gordon.

"Well, err, sorry, you two, but this is something I can only show Thomas, Emily, Percy, and Rosie," apologized Toby.

"What?!" freaked out James, while Gordon was equally cross.

"It's alright, Toby, we have to leave, anyway," reassured Henry, as he turned towards James and Gordon, "Aren't we going to hang out at the arcade?"

"Oh, right!" remembered James, as his mood lightened up.

"Meh, I guess the arcade sounds better than learning about what boring device Toby cooked up with Edward," agreed Gordon, as he addressed his younger friends, "We'll see you guys later."

"Bye!" waved Rosie.

From there, Toby led his friends to the locker room, hoping to show them what he had been working on. It was too bad he couldn't allow Gordon, Henry, or James to see, but was aware it was an impossibility all because of Zordon's rule about keeping identities as Power Rangers a secret. When the five Ranger teens were finally alone, Toby commenced the explanation in his own way.

"See, I, uh, I finally completed a narrow beam transmission module…" revealed Toby, giving Thomas, Rosie, Emily, and Percy all a device that resembled a wristwatch or something, "…that will allow wave function over an extended interval," He was met with silence, "Well? Aren't you all excited?"

"Well, I will be as soon as I figure out what you just said," mused Percy, looking confused as heck.

"In other words," commented Emily pleasantly, "he's created a communication device using microwaves."

"That'd be about right, Emily," confirmed Toby, as Rosie looked at her new communicator, followed by Thomas and Percy, "So, what do you think? We now have a connection to Zordon and Alpha and the Command Center."

"This is so morphenomenal," admired Rosie, slipping the communicator onto her left wrist, "It fits just like a glove."

"It even resembles a wristwatch," put in Thomas.

"Hey, Toby, can it tell time?" asked Percy.

"Well, I… huh, guess in all my excitement to make these, I never really thought of adding that feature," bemoaned Toby sheepishly.

"Not to worry, Toby, you can just make the proper modifications when we get to the Command Center and show them to Alpha and Zordon," reassured Rosie.

"So, how do they work?" pressed Emily.

"They respond to tactile pressure followed by auditory stimulus," answered Toby.

"So what you're saying is that we just touch and talk?" Emily figured, as she and the other looked at the communicators curiously, "Like this."

She pressed a button, turning into a beam of yellow light and shooting out of the Youth Center. When Thomas, Rosie, and Percy did the same thing, they turned into red, pink, and black beams of light and shot themselves out of the Youth Center. Now alone, Toby took a look at his own communicator.

"Hmm," said Toby thoughtfully, starting to tinker with the device, "The neutrino power grade must've cross-molecular-"

He suddenly turned into a beam of blue light and shot out of the Youth Center.

(Command Center)

Inside the Command Center, Alpha stood in his spot before coming to a realization about something.

"Uh-oh! Incoming!" cried Alpha.

The first four beams of light arrived and became Thomas (red), Percy (black), Rosie (pink), and Emily (yellow) before they all fell on top of Alpha. The remaining beam (blue) arrived near the pile up and became Toby.

"Hey! Hey, guys!" exclaimed Rosie, as she and the others got off of Alpha.

"It appears my communicators malfunctioned," commented Toby.

Once Thomas, Percy, Rosie, and Emily were finished getting back up, they helped Alpha back to his feet.

"Oh, welcome, homeboys, homegirls!" greeted Alpha, attempting to be hip in his speech, "What brings you to the hood?"

Everyone stared in confusion.

"You've been watching too much TV, Alpha," replied Percy humorously.

"What's TV?" quizzed Alpha.

The Ranger teens shared a laugh over how silly Alpha was.

"I commend your latest invention, Toby," The voice of Zordon praised, as he looked pleased, "Not only have you created a communicator, but you've also tapped into the Command Center's teleportation unit."

"Wait, he did?" gawked Thomas.

"With proper adjustments, it will allow you to teleport here in an emergency," explained Zordon, as Toby handed Alpha the communicator, "In the meantime, Alpha will also work on a little something that can be used in times where teleporting is not an option."

"In that case, I can't wait to see what it will be," beamed Rosie.

(Rita's Palace)

Inside the Lunar Palace…

"Oh, Baboo, is the time device ready," demanded Rita, as focus went towards Earth beyond the balcony, "or have you messed it up?"

On a small table nearby was a small shuttle, with both Baboo and Squatt standing around it.

"I mean, I managed to get it ready," quivered Baboo, before smacking Squatt upside the head, "Even though this lunkhead slowed me down."

Rita was standing in front of her pendulum while looking from the right to nearly straight on.

"Now, that looks okay!" grinned Rita.

"It's all programmed," reported Baboo, motioning his hands then making flapping gestures with them while talking, "It'll fly down to earth…"

"…and wherever it lands, it'll open up a hole in time," put in Squatt, while pointing at nose, then twice the top of his head, while talking.

"Finster's monster will trap them in the hole, and they'll be gone forever," Baboo finished, while making flapping gestures with hands, then motions hands, while talking.

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, particularly onto the upper tower…

"Finster!" The voice of Rita screeched.

Inside the workshop, Rita walked in as Finster was working on a mold of a monster,

"The time device is ready," said Rita, then turned to a table of other molds, "It's time to pick a monster."

Rita looked at the table of various monster molds as Finster worked on the new monster and Baboo and Squatt squabble in the background.

"The babies!" Rita squealed, as the models started moving as though they were alive, "Which one of the delightfully hideous creatures are we using?"

Rita laughed with delight and batted her eyelashes as she put her right hand out under the arms of the drumming mold.

"Cootchy, cootchy, coo!" joked Rita.

"Ah, none, my Queen. I'm making a new one named Bones," denied Finster, as he turned to look, then went back to working on the new mold while talking, "I'm sure he'll be perfect."

"He'd better be," The voice of Rita warned, as she stepped on clay, taking it with her as she walked off in front of living molds on the floor. She approached Finster, happily gesturing and talking to him, "He's so gruesome and ugly. Just what I wanted."

"Thank you, my Queen," smiled Finster, as he finally picked up the Bones mold and took it off, all while Baboo and Squatt continued their fight in the background. Rita watched as he turned the wheel, opening up the Monster-Matic door, then prepared to place down the Bones mold, "I'll set the Monster-Matic for full power."

Finster placed the Bones mold onto the conveyor belt, then turned the wheel, sending it inside Monster-Matic, as Rita smiled on.

"The Power Rangers will be helpless against him," The voice of Finster promised, as the Bones mold entered the Monster-Matic, then the door closed. He then gripped the lever, pulled it down, then it pushed back up, "Here we go!"

On cue, the Monster-Matic's exhaust pipe began spewing smoke. As the machine rumbled, pipe spewing smoke, something was moving towards the shaking exit tube.

"What's taking so long?" complained Rita, as she headed over to the Monster-Matic's exit tube, Finster behind her, anxiously awaiting, "He's going to be overcooked!"

As soon as those words were said, bright light shot out, causing Baboo and Squatt to turn from the balcony, with the latter getting bonked on the head by the pendulum. As smoke cleared away, a large skeleton monster, which was Bones, stepped out from under the exit tube, thumping a fist to his bony chest.

"Ha ha ha! I am Bones!" laughed Bones, taking his head off and holding it at chest level, "At your service."

"Hmm… Perhaps I should've set the machine on low," pondered Finster, as he rubbed his chin.

Rita turned away from Bones, who put his head back on, then she walked out of the workshop, onto steps, toward Squatt and Baboo.

"All right, salad brains, it's time to launch the time device, and I don't want any mistakes," barked Rita, while Goldar silently walked up. As she rambled her orders, Baboo picked a control box up and faced her, who walked in front of the small Shuttle, "I want the Power Rangers gone."

"So you want me to launch it?" asked Baboo naively.

"Yes!" screamed Rita, with her mouth really wide.

"Of course, my Queen," Baboo obeyed, as he messed with the control box, "I just got to pull this lever."

"Oh, boy, I hope he knows what he's doing," fretted Squatt, who plugged his ears and closed eyes behind the shuttle.

"Ready fire!" announced Baboo, nodding with a smile on his face before reaching for the control box. He gripped the control box's stick forth, "Houston, we have lifted off!"

Once the controls were activated, the shuttle's main engines ignited, and it soared off the balcony as Rita smiled and laughed, Squatt waved goodbye, and Baboo operated the controls on the box. Flying through space, the shuttle was moving towards Earth. Rita walked up to the Repulsascope on the balcony, looked into it, looked out, then looked in again while adjusting it.

"Ooh! Where is that thing?" The voice of Rita grunted, looking through the Repulsascope at Earth while trying to find the shuttle. She was soon looking towards the Island of Sodor—then at Knapford City, "I can't wait to trap those Power geeks in my time warp."

Her waiting and patience paid off, as the Repulsascope was somehow able to follow the shuttle perfectly as it sped down the road.

"There it is!" The voice of Rita rejoiced.

(Knapford City)

All across Knapford City, people were seeing the news on TV sets in stores about a child-sized shuttle coming out of nowhere. One TV was showing footage of the shuttle flying down the road. People on the sidewalk were amazed or startled by the smoke-spewing shuttle driving in the middle of the wrong side of the road, as it turned across the crosswalk.

"Oh my God!" The voice of one woman yelled out.

The shuttle paid no attention to the yells and protests from the people it passed by while driving down the pavement.

"Oh! No way!" The voice of a second woman echoed.

As the shuttle drove further down the street, it was riding the center line as a commuter train passed up ahead. While driving down pavement, it soon started narrowly avoiding getting flattened by two vehicles on the road.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita was standing at the front, smiling, as her four Evil Space Aliens, lined up in a row behind her, were visibly excited by what they saw going on planetside.

(Knapford City)

The shuttle continued driving down the road, passing cars narrowly on their left before entering a construction zone, where the workers there were dodging and getting out of the way. Two workers, in particular, stumbled as the shuttle made a pathetic attempt at hovering on its trip. It left the construction site and entered an area filled with people, frozen in terror, including a pair of flashers.

"Watch out!" The voice of a man panicked.

The shuttle eventually came to a stop somewhere outside the city. Settling in a bank of earth, it opened the front and let loose a colorful beam. The Time Warp was unleashed atop the big tower in the center of Knapford City.

(Command Center)

Back inside the Command Center, the Ranger teens, Alpha, and Zordon all listened to the loud sound coming from the Time Warp. It caused the alarms in the area to go off.

"Extreme audio oscillation," The voice of Toby was saying, as Rosie grimaced, "What does it indicate?"

"What is this?" The voice of Thomas asked, as Emily looked fearful.

"What's the noise?" questioned Percy.

"It's Rita. She sent a device to open a time trap," The voice of Zordon revealed, as the Ranger teens expressed concern over their new enemy's second attack. He managed to look as calm as ever before, "and the Putty Patrol is gathering outside of town. Find out what they are up to while I analyze the time device."

With that said, Alpha flicked a switch on the console, then pressed another button.

"We're out of here," The voice of Thomas declared.

At last, Thomas (red), Percy (black), Toby (blue), Emily (yellow), and Rosie (pink) all turned into beams of colored light and left the Command Center.

(Unknown Park)

The teleportation took the group to a park, where they heard gobbling sounds like turkeys. Peeking behind a rock formation, they found the sounds were coming from the Putties.

"I don't get it. What are they doing out here?" wondered Rosie.

"I don't know, but we better stay here and keep an eye on them," advised Thomas.

"Um, I don't believe that's a viable option," gulped Toby, as Putties began gathering.

"What are you talking about?" scoffed Percy, obviously not paying attention, "This is perfect camouflage."

"It was about ten seconds ago," responded Emily, tugging on Percy's left sleeve.

Sure enough, several Putties surrounded the Ranger teens, prepared to attack them.

"Guys, we gotta morph," suggested Rosie.

"No," refused Thomas, "Remember the rules? Zordon said we need to try taking care of things on our own before we use our powers," He was approached by a Putty, "Come on!"

Thomas delivered a spinning roundhouse kick to the Putty's head, knocking it back, before swinging at another and sending it down, too. Rosie was gracefully dodging the Putties trying to grab her with several tumble rolls, vaulting herself into the air and striking them with a split kick, sending them onto the ground. Toby saw two Putties charging at him from both sides, and quickly dodged out the way, causing them to run into each other. After getting knocked down, Percy noticed and grabbed a nearby stick before getting up and started smacking some of the Putties all around before the weapon broke by another Putty. Emily was flipping herself all around each Putty; getting onto their shoulders and pummeling them from above, before somersaulting to the next one. But no matter what they tried, the Putties kept coming.

"This isn't getting us anywhere!" shouted Emily.

"There's too many for them!" added Rosie.

"Toby, Emily, try pulling some away and spreading them out," suggested Thomas.

Nodding wordlessly, Toby and Emily ran up a nearby hill, with a few of the Putties following and the rest staying behind to take care of Thomas, Percy, and Rosie. Percy ducked under a punch, then punched the Putty in the gut before grabbing its right arm and doing a shoulder throw on it. Rosie elbowed a Putty behind her, then smacked another in-front. Thomas kicked his Putty in the chest. Both Toby and Emily soon split up halfway up the hill on the former's suggestion, with Toby taking the upper route and Emily going the lower route. Emily eventually found herself coming up to a dead end, with the two Putties chasing her about to pounce, but using the momentum she ran up and leaped off the rock, landing behind her pursuers, and causing them to slam into it, and falling off the path down the incline. Toby, on the other hand, wasn't having the best of luck, seeing the path he was on coming to an end, and the Putties chasing him were getting closer.

"Alpha?" whimpered Toby, attempting to speak into his communicator. However, he remembered he left it back at the Command Center, "Ah! I forgot!"

Emily remained at the bottom when she saw Toby in great danger, but she shuddered at the same time since he was high up, and she was petrified of heights.

"I'm afraid, but I have to do this," thought Emily, narrowing her eyes, "Toby needs me."

Meanwhile, seeing that he had no way out, Toby reached for his Power Morpher in an attempt to morph into his Power Ranger form, but accidentally dropped it out of clumsiness.

"No! My Power Morpher!" he panicked, as seeing the device plummet down the cliff.

To make matters worse, some of the Putties were closing in on him. With no real fighting ability and being unable to morph, Toby knew he stood no chance as he remained cornered near the edge of the cliff and about to be attacked.

"HELP!" screamed Toby, terrified.

The shout was so loud that it echoed throughout the area, even being heard by Thomas, Perfect, and Rosie as they continued to fight their share of Putties. Emily looked up one more time, just in time for her quick reflexes to catch the falling Power Morpher heading towards her, and saw Toby on the precipice of the cliff, with the height of which caused her to gasp slightly. But seeing Toby in trouble, she had to do something to save him. Sucking in her gut, and swallowing her fears, Emily Stirling began scaling the cliffside, using jutting rocks as her platforms.

"Hang in there, Toby," Emily said to herself as she continued to climb, "Ah!"

She briefly looked down, and froze up again. Her eyes widened as she began to breath heavily and experience dizziness from how high she was, and held onto the rocks in sheer terror, desperate not to slip and fall to her death. Back down below, Thomas, Percy, and Rosie were having their own problems as the five Putties closed in, pushing and starting crushing them in a tight circle.

"Back off!" exclaimed Percy.

"Get off us!" wailed Rosie.

Back on the cliff…

"P-Please stop! Get away from me!" Toby begged timidly, looking at the approaching Putties, "I give up!"

But the Putties did not go away, and Toby backed away again, nearly losing his footing at the edge of the cliff as some rocks crumbled from his weight and fell down. But upon hearing the brown-haired boy's frightened voice again, Emily looked up and saw that she was in fact almost there. Taking in one deep breath, she continued to climb, and soon made it to the top, pulling one of the Putties down by the ankle as she did, before flipping over and facing the others.

"Hey, leave him alone!" challenged Emily, getting into a fighting stance, "I'm your opponent!"

The two Putties charged at the two teenagers, but they moved out of the way at the last second, causing them to slip and fall off the edge of the cliff.

"Wow, that was amazing, Emily!" praised Toby, "You conquered your fear of heights!"

"Thanks," smiled Emily, as she handed Toby back his Power Morpher before looking down below and finding Thomas, Percy, and Rosie each surrounded by Putties, "Oh no… Down there!"

"The others are in trouble!" The voice of Toby acknowledged, as he looked at Emily for a moment, "We gotta get down there and help."

The five Putties circling Thomas, Percy, and Rosie were, quite literally, crushing them, and they were unable to break it up. Luckily, Toby and Emily arrived in time to break the circle apart. With the Putties now knocked away, Thomas had an idea to finish them off.

"Form a human chain!" ordered Thomas, as Percy got behind, and Rosie got in-front, "Ready?"

"You betcha!" grinned Percy, jumping onto Thomas's shoulders, "I'm locked in! Rosie?"

Rosie responded by putting her arms around the bottom of Percy's legs.

"Go!" she cried out.

With that said, Thomas started spinning Percy and Rosie around, kicking the remaining five Putties into the pushes. Once they were all down, they faded away from destruction.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita was looking into her Repulsascope, before looking out agape and turning around.

"Alright, Bones, it's time!" announced Rita, turning to talk to Goldar while Squatt and Baboo were messing around with a remote, "Go do your stuff!"

On cue, Bones teleported out of the workshop with purple streaks.

(Old Funfair)

At an old abandoned Funfair, Bones dropped onto the ground in a smoking heap of bones, just before they floated up and re-form into his skeletal body.

(Command Center)

At the Command Center, the Viewing Globe was showing footage of the Ranger teens congratulating each other for winning against the Putties.

"Congratulations, Power Rangers. You've done a superb job dealing with the Putties," The voice of Zordon praised, "And special congratulations to you, Emily, for overcoming your fear in the face of an emergency."

The celebration did not last long when the alarm started going off again, which worried Thomas and the likes.

"Hold your positions, everyone," The voice of Zordon urged direly, as he looked serious, "Our scanners have picked up a new threat," As Alpha worked away on the console, the Viewing Globe displayed footage of Bones, "Rita has sent a creature named Bones down to the old Funfair! He can fire energy bolts out of his eyes and jump long distances and even make himself disappear!"

As Zordon was describing what Bones was capable of, the Viewing Globe showed footage of Bones leaping into the air and stabbing his sword forth, then he gestures sword and hand before shooting eyeball beams of energy, causing an explosion of sparks. From there, Bones readied his sword and dashed ahead, then dropped down from the upper scaffolding with his sword drawn. And finally, he rode the horsey on the carousel, then made himself invisible.

"He probably controls the time device as well, so get moving, Power Rangers," advised Zordon, as Alpha turned and looked towards the Viewing Globe—which once again displayed footage of the Ranger teens as they held out their Power Morphers with one hand, "It's Morphin' Time!"

(Morphing sequence)

A stylized lightning bolt struck in front of a purple circle, behind was a black background. Crackling around the lightning bolt and circle were blue energy bolts (with some yellow and pink also present). The morphing sequence was as followed; each teenager was seen holding out his/her open Power Morpher inside the image of a giant open Power Morpher, with the teenager being surrounded by Ranger-colored electricity shown within what would have been the Morpher's red inside area.

"Mastodon!" called Percy.

"Pterodactyl!" called Rosie.

"Triceratops!" called Toby.

"Sabertooth Tiger!" called Emily.

"Tyrannosaurus!" called Thomas.

After the morphing calls ended, it zoomed in on Thomas' face, over which appeared to be a fiery red grid; the grid split vertically to reveal the Red Ranger helmet, then it faded into white with a negative color effect.

(End morph)

The team stood fully morphed, then briefly gave a small pose that sent off energy.

"Red Ranger!" shouted Thomas, standing with parts of the Funfair in the background as he posed with both arms up, crossing to a pose to the left, then a final one to the right, "Tyrannosaurus!"

"Black Ranger!" shouted Percy, standing with parts of the Funfair in the background as he went from posing to the left, to posing to the right, in all three motions, "Mastodon!"

"Blue Ranger!" shouted Toby, standing with parts of the Funfair in the background while crossing both arms in front of face before posing down in a crouch, then another to the left, "Blue Ranger!"

"Yellow Ranger!" shouted Emily, standing with parts of the Funfair in the background as she punched left hand forth, right hand down, left hand down with right arm up behind her in a pose. She then quickly punched with right hand downward, before thrusting left hand outward, right arm curled behind, "Sabertooth Tiger!"

"Pink Ranger!" shouted Rosie, standing with parts of the Funfair in the background while raising both arms at her sides then crossing at the wrist in front of chest, bending down and throwing arms back like wings before standing back up and crossing arms as she held her right arm up and back while left hand was held poised near waist, "Pterodactyl!"

Red Ranger, with parts of the Funfair as the background, was still posing, but then ceased it before crossing both arms, and then reaching out with right arm.

"Mighty Morphin…" began Thomas.

The whole Power Rangers team posed in front of the boat rocking ride.

"…Power Rangers!" The five Rangers finished with a battle cry.

Bones responded to the roll call by taking off his head and tossing it skyward as he turned invisible.

"Here, let me help you get 'ahead'!" joked Bones, as the above scenario played out.

The head of Bones hovered up higher into the air as the Rangers gathered underneath, looking up.

"Whoa!" gasped Thomas.

"What in the world?!" gawked Emily.

Before any more reactions could be made, Bones' floating head soon started spinning around and around.

"Into the Time Warp, you go!" taunted Bones.

Everything started spinning around as the Rangers staggered about on the cement below the head. First, Red Ranger flipped into the Time Warp dimension, landing on his back. Bones' floating head spun around some more, and both Blue Ranger and Black Ranger flipped into the Time Warp dimension, landing in front of Red Ranger.

"Percy! Toby!" worried Thomas.

Bones' floating head then spun around one last time, causing both Pink Ranger and Yellow Ranger to flip into the Time Warp dimension, landing in front of Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Black Ranger.

"Girls!" gasped Toby.

The Rangers were able to recover to their feet in dimension, looking around with curiosity.

"This is weird," uttered Percy.

"How strange," added Rosie.

"Man, what is this place?" pondered Thomas, before spotting something, "Look out!"

In quick succession, Bones leaped across to the right, then to the left, slashing sparkly into Rangers with his sword on his way during the second run. He then, as he landed and turned to face the recovering Rangers while wielding his green-bladed sword. Not about to take it lying down, Red Ranger reached into his Blade Blaster holster and drew out the Blade Blaster.

"Blade Blasters up!" The voice of Thomas commanded, while extending the weapon into Sword mode

All five Rangers readied their Blade Blaster in Sword mode then charged ahead, but Bones retaliated by stretching his arms out and summoning three pairs of Skeleton-like warriors, which leap over his shoulders. The Rangers bound into battle against Skeleton Warriors, clashing swords to Blade Blasters. As the fighting ensued, Squatt pushed over a giant green bell pepper and looked around the dimension.

"Wowee!" cheered Squatt.

Red Ranger and Bones were going blade to blade, but the latter was able to slash the former in the chest sparkly. Squatt pulled out a bomb from his bag and walked off as Baboo emerged behind him.

"This ought to do it," snickered Squatt, carrying his bomb.

"Oh, this place is weird," murmured Baboo.

"Oh boy!" Squatt was chortling.

Back in the fight, Black Ranger and Yellow Ranger were still battling the bony boys, while

Pink Ranger and Blue Rangers flipped into action against the marrow marauders. Once he and Baboo got close enough, Squatt placed the bomb in a tree next to the shuttle.

"Now to blow up the time device and trap them here," remembered Squatt.

"Come on, Squatt, hurry up!" demanded Baboo, as Squatt followed the long fuse of the bomb and once at the end, "You did bring the matches, didn't you?"

Once Baboo joined his good buddy, Squat reached into his bag to find the matches but was having no luck.

"I told you not to forget them," scowled Baboo, as he reached inside the bag, "Oh, let me see that. Right there."

"I didn't forget them," protested Squatt, still looking through his bag, "They got to be in there somewhere."

Baboo and Squatt both found the box of matches inside the bag. Baboo quickly lit a match and brought it towards the fuse.

"Oh, now just hold it steady, so I can light it," advised Squatt, before the fuse became lit, "There. Oh boy! Now we're going to get it."

Unfortunately for the one of the two most dim-witted members of Rita's generals, he held onto the lit fuse for too long that it burnt his hand and forced him to drop it. The fuse was burning up at a quick pace towards the tree with both the bomb and shuttle—if it were destroyed at the right time, the Rangers would be trapped in the Time Warp forever. Squatt hopped up and down happily, as Baboo applauded excitedly.

"Yay!" squealed Baboo.

As the fuse continued burning in the foreground, Pink Ranger and Blue Ranger ceased fighting the Skeleton Crew as they noticed it, with Red Ranger soon joining.

"Thomas, look!" exclaimed Rosie urgently.

"Aah! Stop!" yelled Thomas, reaching out in protest.

Bones responded by swinging his sword around and aiming it downward. Upon stabbing into the ground with the weapon, it caused a bursting as mist covered the ground and soon broke open a fault quakingly. The Five Rangers were knocked off their feet by the quaking, with Red Ranger recovering into a jump, leaping through the dark air with his Blade Blader still drawn. He landed in combat with Bones, locking blades and successfully holding him in place as he turned and called his teammates.

"C'mon, let's blast him!" yelled Thomas.

Black Ranger was shown snapping his Blade Blaster around into blaster mode, and he and the other three then aimed and fired from them. Bones got struck by four red beams, with Red Ranger rolling out of the way as the monster exploded into a pile of (what else?) bones.

"Yes!" whooped Toby.

"Alright!" rejoiced Rosie.

"Sweet!" put in Emily.

"Got him!" finished Percy.

The four Rangers holstered their Blade Blasters, believing they won—or so they believed. Bones suddenly pulled himself back together. The four Rangers looked stunned by what they were seeing.

"We need to destroy his head!" realized Toby, as he gestured right hand and leaped.

Blue Ranger jumped through the dark air with fist out, swooping by Bones, grabbing his head before it could reconnect with the body, leaving it reaching an empty neck stump. He rolled into a landing and wrapped the cape around Bones' head.

"Emily, catch!" called Toby, tossing the item.

Yellow Ranger caught the wrapped head and gave a thumbs up.

"I got this!" vowed Emily.

The four Skeleton Warriors charged towards the Rangers, but Yellow Ranger dashed through them, slashing sparkly each one with her Blade Blaster in Sword mode. Piles of bones from the undead warriors dropped to the foggy ground, as Yellow Ranger reached the edge of the cavern.

"So long, bonehead!" spat Emily, as she spiked Bones' wrapped head into the fault.

And Bones' cranium plummeted further down through the reddish mist at the bottom of the crevasse, causing an explosion upon touching the lava at the bottom. Without the head, Bones' body collapsed onto its back and exploded brightly into a swell of sparks.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, particularly onto the mid tower…

"I'm not through yet," The voice of Rita snarled.

Inside, Rita walked onto the balcony from the left side and stood in front of the Earth.

"Moon dust, soft and planet, send to Earth a Giant!" chanted Rita, before breaking into laughter.

(Knapford City)

Storm clouds were seen racing on the horizon with blue lighting erupting amid. Before long, a Giant materialized in the middle of the city alongside a skyscraper.

(Time Warp)

After a short walk into the park, Giant's right hand smashed through what appeared to be a building wall, and before Red Ranger knew it, he got snatched by said hand.

"Giant go!" jeered Squatt, hopping up and down happily.

"Yippie!" added Baboo, applauding excitedly.

Red Ranger was lifted out of the Time Warp dimension by Giant as the other Rangers rushed to the spot he was taken from.

"Hey! Thomas!" yelled Rosie.

Blue Ranger and Pink Ranger approached the torn area of the wall just as Giant peeked inside. The sight was startling enough that the both of them were thrown to the misty ground. Outside in the park, Red Ranger was struggling in Giant's right hand.

"L-Let go of me, you big ox!" insulted Thomas.

Inside the Time Warp, the fuse burned up at a quick pace as it fast approached the tree with the bomb and shuttle.

"It's gonna blow!" realized Squatt.

"Let's get out of here!" suggested Baboo.

They flee from the Time Warp dimension. Realizing they had mere seconds before the bomb exploded, Blue Ranger approached the shuttle and grabbed it off the top of the tree. The four Rangers were looking upward as the bomb behind them suddenly exploded sparkly. Pink Ranger, Black Ranger, Blue Ranger (still carrying the shuttle), and Yellow Ranger were flipped through the air as they yelled in pain.

(Park)

Back in the park, Blue Ranger and Pink Ranger flail about as they fell over the side of a cliff, and they were followed by Yellow Ranger and Black Ranger flailing about as they fell over the side of a cliff. They all hit the ground in a quarry, with Black Ranger being the first to recover.

"Everyone okay?" pondered Percy.

"I think so," groaned Rosie, a little winded.

"I luckily got that device before the bomb exploded, so we didn't get trapped in the Time Warp," reported Toby, still carrying the shuttle.

While his friends recovered, Red Ranger continued his futile struggle in Giant's right hand, and, down below, the other four Rangers gathered below, watching their friend and leader struggle helplessly.

"Let go of him, you creep!" insulted Rosie.

Giant merely took a giant step forward and motioned his arms. In Giant's right hand, Red Ranger resumed struggling helplessly as Giant glared menacingly and attempted to grab his victim with the left hand and, in layman's terms, tear him apart.

"I've had about enough of you," raged Thomas, reaching down and pulling out his Blade Blaster, "Let me go!"

He fired a red beam into Giant's face, causing one of his eyes to catch fire and cause him to reel in pain. Red Ranger, with Blade Blaster, finally shook loose of the distracted Giant's grip. He dropped out of Giant's hand and fell away from him, falling through the air, arms stretched out, kinda Superman style. Red Ranger landed on the ground as his teammates gathered around to see if he was hurt.

"Thomas, are you alright?" worried Emily, holding him frantically.

"Just fine," reassured Thomas.

Enraged, Giant pulled out his sword and slashed it downward, and the Rangers narrowly avoided getting chopped into bits as they rolled away. Having failed with the sword, Giant proceeded to start stomping his feet toward the Rangers.

"I call upon the power of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, now!" commended Thomas, reaching skyward in an attempt to summon his Zord.

From the middle of nowhere, the nearby ground began breaking open to reveal bursting flames from within a fault line. The same thing a second time, only a little farther away from the earthquake. A crack in the ground then spread open, releasing a fireball from within the crack. It was then the head of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord slowly rose from the molten red ground, followed by its upper body, and finally it was followed by its lower body. Finally, the Tyrannosaurus rose up from above the fiery molten pit before straightening up amid flames and smoke. The five Rangers got a closer look as the Tyrannosaurus stood in the near distance, which was standing and growling while atop the crimson mist. Red Ranger, with Blue Ranger behind him, looks upward, steps ahead a little and nods head.

"Now that's what I call power," grinned Thomas.

The Tyrannosaurus leaned down, chomping and rocking side to side a little.

"I'll handle this one, guys!" offered Thomas, looking straight up before gesturing fist then leaping skyward.

Red Ranger leaped up into the sky towards the Tyrannosaurus, which chomped and bared down as it watched its master come towards it. Red Ranger continued leaping up, passing beneath the Tyrannosaurus's jaw before finally landing up atop of the Tyrannosaurus's head, and then after a few seconds, he dropped inside. Red Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord.

"Locking on!" declared Thomas boldly, and he gestured an arm, then looked down to his right, "But first…"

From there, he slapped his left hand down on the palm activator. This caused the display of the Red Ranger helmet to lighten up. Then Red Ranger slapped his right hand down on the other palm activator, which caused the console display of the Red Ranger helmet and Red Ranger Zord face to shoot energy to the Tyrannosaurus symbol at the top which began to glow brightly. Red Ranger then just sat in the cockpit, moving his head and operating the controls.

"Okay, let's kick some giant butt!" gloated Thomas.

Giant stepped into the foreground to face the Tyrannosaurus. Giant gestured his arms, then marched forth to engage, his feet lumbering through the quarry. The Tyrannosaurus also lumbered forth in the quarry. Once they were up close, Giant and the Tyrannosaurus collided into a struggle of grips as the latter's tail swiped back and forth. Giant eventually staggered back from the opponent's great strength, but he then unsheathed his sword and rushed forth, slashing the Tyrannosaurus three times in the chest. The Tyrannosaurus's body was smoking from the blows, but raged over it and swung around, resulting in its tail whipping about and smashing Giant sparkly in the chest. Not being done, the Tyrannosaurus bent over in the other direction this time, and Giant got smashed sparkly in the smoking-chest by the tail again, knocking him away and sending him tumbling on the ground, but rolled back onto his feet for more. The Tyrannosaurus noticed that, leaned forward, and marched into action. Giant tried to slash the Tyrannosaurus with his sword again, but the Zord blocked it. In the Tyrannosaurus cockpit, Red Ranger was looking down to the side at his teammates on the ground before resuming focused operation.

"How am I doing, Percy?" called Thomas.

The Tyrannosaurus grappled Giant's right arm and pinned him in front of it. Down below, Black Ranger responded to Red Ranger, gesturing arm and giving those behind him a thumbs up.

"Morphenomenal! Yeah!" cheered Percy.

The Tyrannosaurus stabbed its tail into the ground, allowing it to leap up into the air before Giant and kick him in the chest with both feet. Giant staggered back as the Tyrannosaurus remained in the air. Giant flipped repeatedly backward through the air, body smoking, before landing and tumbling on the ground a second time, but it took him a little longer to get back up, smoking and staggering with his blade still drawn. In the Tyrannosaurus cockpit, Red Ranger made a fist.

"Time to chill this dude out!" grunted Thomas, before pressing the controls.

The cockpit console palm control switch on the left hand is slid to the right. The Tyrannosaurus, still floating in the air, spread out his arms and legs, before returning to the regular position and finally lowering to the ground, pounding it with its feet and kicking up dust. The Tyrannosaurus spread its arms again and looked directly at the ground, where, following a quick surge of yellow electricity, it spewed a yellow-ringed breath into the ground, causing dirt to burst up in front of it. The earth shot out a rolling wave of erupting dirt in the ground in front of the Tyrannosaurus and moved forward towards the opposition. Howling in agony, Giant was caught up amid the flying boulders, rocks, dirt, and wind before literally turning to dust and blowing away in the wind. Piles of rocks were disturbed by the wind as, across the settling dirt wind, the Tyrannosaurus fidgeted about, leaning down a little and chomping while opening its hands. Finally, Red Ranger exited the cockpit and stood atop his Zord's head, pumping a fist into the sky as the Tyrannosaurus opened and closed its jaw.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita looked out from the Repulsascope in anger as, with a furious yell, she turned and kicked a large globe of Earth into Baboo and Squatt, knocking them down as they reacted in fright.

"Oh, I've got such a headache!" whined Rita, putting her hand to her head, wincing. That was as Squatt clasped his head in pain while Baboo cowered behind the globe they were hit with, "Somebody bring me an aspirin!"

(Youth Center)

The next day, a Sunday, it was as busy as it ever was in the Youth Center. The owner, Victor, was listening to Kevin about what he saw in the local newspaper.

"It's true, boss!" insisted Kevin, holding up a newspaper with the front page showing the Power Rangers, "I'm telling you, I saw it in the papers. They saved the park from this zombie guy," He lowered it and smiled big, "and they call themselves the Power Rangers."

At the gym section, the Ranger teens overheard the conversation and smiled to themselves before Rosie went to join her cheerleading squad. While that was going on, Toby revealed some good news.

"Uh, speaking of which, our communicators are fully functional again, thanks to Zordon and Alpha," whispered Toby.

"Cool," accepted Thomas.

"So, like, we can teleport and communicate to the Command Center?" hoped Percy.

Toby nodded, "We can."

"Oh, this is so nineties," remarked Emily.

It was then they heard protests coming from Rosie and the cheerleading squad. Sure enough, Rosie and Daisy were arguing again, with Nia, Emma, and Pip each watching helplessly, but even they were growing frustrated.

"You can't expect me to do that! You're far too heavy for my back!" scoffed Daisy.

"Then what's the point of you being here if you can't be asked to do something so simple?!" fumed Rosie.

"Okay, okay, Rosie, please calm down," sighed Nia, placing a hand on the angry Rosie's shoulder, "I'll work this around somehow. I'll find some way for Daisy to play the bare minimum so that your part isn't interrupted."

Rosie felt a little better, while Daisy turned and stormed off. It was then Toby noticed the climbing rope and remembered how Emily overcame her fear of heights to save his life.

"Oh, Emily, I really want to express my gratitude for you helping me out yesterday," gushed Toby.

"Yeah. The way you climbed those rocks was morphenomenal," encouraged Rosie.

Emily giggled, "I guess what they say is true," she said fondly, "You really don't know what you can do until you're forced to do it. I hope I can be that confident next time."

"Speaking of which, here, Emily," offered Toby, holding out a climbing rope, "Why don't you go first?"

"Uh-uh. No way. I've seen enough heights to last me a lifetime," declined Emily, who was unaware that Percy was creeping up behind her wearing a Putty mask, "Nothing, and I mean nothing," She folded her arms confidently, "could get me up that rope."

Just then, what looked like a Putty leaped up and made gobbling sounds.

"YEEPS! PUTTIES!" shrieked Emily.

In a reflex, she started climbing the rope at a frantic speed until she reached the top. Down below, Thomas, Rosie, Toby, and the cheerleading squad all shared a laugh as the "Putty" removed his mask and revealed himself to be Percy.

"Girl, it looks like you've definitely overcome your fear of heights," joked Percy.

"Percy!" chortled Rosie.

Emily looked unamused with the joke, but, at the same time, had to admit it at least allowed for her to prove she no longer feared heights.

"Comedians," she sighed amusingly.

And there we are, the second chapter, all done and so much more. The third chapter of the story, which will be an adaptation of "Teamwork", will hopefully be posted near the end of the month, so stay tuned for it.
