Title: A Pressing Engagement

Opening up outside of Sodor High School during the afternoon, the bell was heard ringing, signaling the end of the school day. Students were shown filing out from the building, among which were Gordon, James, Henry, Percy, and Emily.

"Can you believe it?" complained Percy, "How could we have all of this homework in one day?"

"I believe it, and I don't like it," agreed Emily.

"This is ridiculous!" James groaned, clearly very displeased, "We're still young, and it's so early in the year. We shouldn't be treated like this!"

"Not to mention I have three tests coming up!" fumed Gordon.

"And I have a book report due in two weeks," Henry added unhappily, "This is just… just…"

From there…

"Disgraceful!" said Gordon.

"Disgusting!" put in James.

"Despicable!" finished Henry.

"Ah yes, the three famous 'Ds'," thought Percy, "It's been a while since we heard Gordon and the likes say them."

"Cheer up, you five," A female voice echoed, causing Percy and Emily to look nearby, "It's not as bad as you think."

Gordon, James, and Henry each looked over, too, seeing a tall girl their age with long bright blonde (almost yellow) hair prance up to them. She was dressed in a yellow blazer with red details, a dark blue button-up undershirt, a dark blue skirt with a red stripe, dark blue tight socks, simple black shoes, and a yellow and dark blue tie with red details.

"Oh, Rebecca," greeted Emily.

"How come you're so chipper about getting all that homework?" asked Percy.

"I thought you'd be as mad as the rest of us," assumed James.

"Oh, I don't really let a little bit of homework bother me," grinned Rebecca Eastleigh, as she was named, "Besides, so much studying means me and Nia will get to spend more time in our study sessions."

She had said the last part with a loving smile on her face, to which Emily rolled her eyes in amusement.

"Same ol' Rebecca," thought Emily, "Always looks on the bright side of everything."

"Oh, really?" asked Percy deviously, "I'm sure studying isn't 'all' you two will be doing," he teased, forming a love heart shape with his fingers, "Hint, hint?"

*SMACK!*

And Percy let out a yelp when Emily smacked him upside the head for the comment, causing Gordon and James both to snicker at his expense. Henry appeared to be more sympathetic towards Percy.

"OW! Hey, what'd I do?! What'd I do?!" protested Percy meekly.

"Percy, be nice," scolded Emily.

"Hey, I was only kidding!"

Rebecca initially appeared a little flustered over being teased about her slowly growing relationship with Nia, but knew that Percy was only being playful about it. Shaking her head, she brought up a little something about Thomas.

"We should get to the Youth Center quickly," advised Rebecca, as Percy and Emily wondered why, "Thomas is going to attempt to break Hank's bench pressing record today."

"What?!" cried Henry, "But Thomas isn't a strong man like Hank!" A thought bubble formed above him, showing Thomas try and try and try but fail to break the record, "He's tried several times over the summer, and always failed."

The bubble popped.

"Why should today be any different?" huffed James.

"Who cares if he isn't a strong man or has already failed?" responded Emily excitedly, "I want to see my Thomas break that record!"

"You wanna be disappointed by his next failure?" frowned Percy, but then grinned back, "Fine, let's all be disappointed together!"

"Same here!" exclaimed Gordon, with Henry nodding along at the end, "Thomas is our friend, and he deserves our support!"

"That's the spirit!" cheered Rebecca, before taking off, "Come on, let's get going!"

Percy and Emily nodded and, along with Gordon and Henry, followed after their eager friend. James initially stayed behind for a second to shrug before following far behind.

(Youth Center)

At the Youth Center, people were either coming or going, but today was particularly exciting for one reason and one reason only; Thomas was going to attempt to break Hank's bench pressing record. In the building's gym, lots of people had gathered around as Thomas was in the process of bench pressing, Gordon was acting as Thomas's spotter while keeping count of his lifts, with Hank Baldwin observing from the side. Emily, Percy, and Henry were also watching.

"Come on, Thomas, you can do it!" Percy encouraged, as Thomas kept on lifting the weight, "You're halfway there!"

Rosie, meanwhile, dressed in a pink leotard, was on the balance beam doing some flips as part of her gymnastics practice.

"Okay, backward walkover," she whispered to herself, "You got this."

Rosie then extended her arms up and flipped backwards, gripping the beam with her hands as she used the momentum to fling her legs around and land back in a standing position perfectly in the middle of the beam.

"Nice!" The pink-haired girl praised herself, before jumping off and going over to join Emily in observing Thomas, "How's he doing?"

"He's just about there," answered Emily.

Thomas remained hard at work with the weightlifting; his arms were aching badly, and his face was red from the strain, but he didn't want to give up.

"Fifty-six, fifty-seven," counted Gordon.

Soon, James walked up and stood beside Rosie. Despite his earlier hope that Thomas would break the record, he was feeling doubtful about the whole thing.

"He'll never do it," snorted James, "This is like his tenth attempt, and I'm sure he'll fail again."

"James!" Rosie snapped crossly.

Responding angrily to that unnecessary comment, she stomped on James's left foot. James shouted in pain as he held onto his hurt foot, but this caused everyone around him to stare for a moment. This also included Gordon, who had ceased counting for those few seconds. Soon, they went straight back to Thomas—but then there was a small problem.

"Fifty-five… No, wait, was it fifty-two?" blinked Gordon, before realizing that he had lost count, "Augh! I lost count!"

Thomas, knowing that Gordon had now lost count thanks to James, had to give up on his attempt at this point as he set the weight back in its spot.

"Fizzling Fireplaces…" he sighed in disappointment.

"Th-That was so not my fault!" stated James, "Rosie was the one who stomped on me!"

Rosie immediately shot him an angry glare, which he returned.

"I thought you were going to succeed, too," Emily concluded glumly.

"Ah'm real sorry there, partner," said Hank sincerely, "Ah was rootin' for ya."

Rosie suddenly got an idea… Grinning to herself, she walked up behind Thomas and started to massage his shoulders to help loosen him up.

"Don't let it get you down Thomas," encouraged Rosie, "Couple more training sessions and you'll be far out pumping cowboy over there."

Hank couldn't help but chuckle and scratch the back of his head sheepishly. Thomas began to loosen up from the massage, but Rosie didn't appear to stop as she leaned in closer, pressing herself against him, and began to rub his shoulders more slowly and enticingly.

"I think I know a 'great' way to get you motivated," Rosie whispered playfully, her face inches from his, "I'm not doing anything later, and no one's gonna be home at my place. Whaddya say, big blue?"

She made a kissing gesture and moved in, but suddenly stopped and yelped when she was pulled up by the ear by an annoyed-looking Emily.

"Ow! OW! OW! OW! OW!" wailed Rosie, as she was yanked up to her feet while Emily looked very unamused, "Emily, that doesn't come off!"

"Yeah, I think you'd better scram before I make this worse," frowned Emily, before letting go and gently shoving Rosie off, "Go now! Shoo shoo!"

Rosie responded by making a pouty face and walking off in a huff.

"Spoilsport!" she called back, making a weak comeback.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon…

"He's not so tough on his own!" The voice of Rita remarked haughtily.

On the balcony, Rita looked out from her Repulsascope, holding her left hand up and out near her face, her expression frozen with intent.

"That's it!" exclaimed Rita, facing Earth, alone on the balcony from behind as she gestured her arms out repeatedly with the pendulum swinging behind her, "I'll send Goldar and a monster down to separate Thomas from his friends and then tear him apart. With him out of the way, the rest of the Power Rangers will be at my mercy!" Still by the railing, she spoke a few more words before turning to the left and walking off to the workshop, "It's time to finish them once and for all!"

(Youth Center)

Back at the Youth Center, inside the gym, half an hour later after his failed tenth attempt to break the record, Thomas decided to try it all again for the eleventh time.

"Come on, Thomas, you can do it!" encouraged James.

"Ninety-one, ninety-two!" counted Gordon.

Rosie was now watching and chewing some bubble gum, while Emily stood beside her.

"You can do it this time, Thomas!" called Emily.

Thomas continued to lift the weight, despite his arms beginning to ache. Rosie, meanwhile, soon started to blow a huge, HUGE bubble.

"Gang way! Coming through!" A male voice echoed.

Everyone turned to see a teenage boy with orange-colored hair by the name of Murdoch Riddles came riding into the gym on a skateboard, but he didn't watch where he was going. As Murdoch got closer to the crowd, his skateboard slipped on a spilled drink on the ground. The boy fell onto his back, but the skateboard went flying straight right at Rosie…and the huge bubble she had blown.

"Oh no…" Emily muttered nervously, as her eyes widened at what was about to happen.

The skateboard hit the huge bubble…and burst it all over Rosie and Emily's face and hair. The commotion caused Gordon to stop counting and look at what happened.

"Hey, what just happened?!" yelled Gordon in alarm.

All eyes were on Emily and Rosie, covered in the latter's bubble gum.

"Hey! Look at Emily and Rosie!" One guy's voice spoke mockingly.

As expected, there were some laughs at the two girls' expense. Emily grimaced at the sticky and gross bubble gum stuck in her hair and on her face.

"Oh, 'ewwww'…" whined Emily.

"Looks like it's going to be an extra long bubble bath for me tonight," grumbled Rosie.

While the girls were unhappy at what just transpired to them, Thomas was getting frustrated with himself for failing to break the record Hank set. He set the weight back in its spot and got up as Hank and Murdoch walked over.

"Sorry about that, Thomas," sighed Murdoch.

"Cheer up, buddy," soothed Hank, handing Thomas a towel, "Better luck next time?"

Thomas didn't look very convinced that there would be a next time.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, particularly onto the upper tower…

"Ha ha ha! He can't do anything today," The voice of Rita laughed, "This is going to be too easy!"

Inside, Squatt and Baboo looked at one another, then at Rita, who stared into her Repulsascope as Baboo stepped toward her.

"Easy?" quizzed Squatt.

"If it's an easy one," offered Baboo, standing just ahead of Squatt, who reacted, while the blue monkey was still talking, glancing to the left briefly, "I have the perfect pair for the job."

"Yes?" urged Rita, turning her head from the left to straight, looking onward with a devious grin.

"Me and Squatt," finished Baboo, with Rita turning to him and Squatt acting as fidgety as ever, "Eh?"

"Forget it," refused Rita.

"Yes, ma'am," Baboo and Squatt obeyed, bowing at the same time.

Rita soon turned away from her Repulsascope on the balcony…

"Oh, Goldar!" she called happily.

Goldar walked up the balcony steps and stood as Rita, Squatt, and Baboo watched.

"Yes, oh, Evil One!" declared Goldar, with sword in his right hand, talking while pointing sword at us, punching hilt out, then slashing the blade. Then pointing, and punching, "First we separate Thomas from the others."

"Then Rita grows you real tall," added Squatt, pointing up with his right index finger, then up higher, before doing the same with his left hand, then back to the right.

"Then we crush him!" finished Goldar, as he spoke to the right, holding his sword before gesturing it forth and lowering it, "Just leave it to me!"

Rita turned her head to her right with an evil grin slowly creeping upon her face, as she then turned to her left, Squatt visible in the background. Inside the workshop, Finster rubbed his chin and pondered aloud.

"Finster, have you figured out a monster yet?" The voice of Rita demanded.

"Hmm… Not quite," mused Finster.

"Oh!" gasped Baboo, with his head leaning to the right with widening eyes before wiping the monocle with his left hand, "You shouldn't have said that, you're gonna be in trouble."

Entering the workshop, Rita walked up to Finster.

"Finster, what do you mean?" scolded Rita, then smiled as she held up her right palm by her face. Finster folded his arms in response, "Could you be losing your touch?"

"No, ma'am," said Finster, causing Rita to glower at him and lean in, "If you give me a moment, I'll think of something. Ah, how about our King Sphinx?"

A flashback ensued.

FLASHBACK

Several moments of a humanoid sphinx by the name of King Sphinx turned his head straight and began demonstrating his power. He began rapidly flapping his wings by flexing arms back in a park on another planet.

"He can use his wings to sweep the others away," narrated Finster, "Does that satisfy you, your Evilness?"

END FLASHBACK

The flashback ended, and Rita leaned in on Finster, raising fist to him, causing him, Squatt, and Baboo to react in fright.

"Yes!" accepted Rita loudly.

"Oh, alright," shuddered Finster, glad he was off the hook.

(Youth Center)

Back at the Youth Center's bar, Thomas decided to take a break from attempting to break the bench pressing record to talk to his friends at a table. The ones present were Murdoch and Percy, while Rosie went back to her gymnastics training after she and Emily made a trip to the women's locker room to clean up from the gum incident. Emily, meanwhile, decided to head home to get an early start on her homework.

"So, what do you say?" suggested Murdoch, "Am I forgiven?"

"Apology…" began Thomas, before stopping for a few beats before looking at Murdoch and smiling, "…accepted."

"Phew! That's a relief," replied Murdoch, "How about some juice on me?"

"Sounds good," accepted Percy.

"Yo, Victor!" called Murdoch, as Victor stood at the counter, "Four glasses of fruit punch, please!"

"Coming right up, my friends," responded Victor.

Back at the table, Rosie was soon done with her practice and joined the others at the table.

"Err, Rosie, about an hour ago…" mused Murdoch, as Rosie slipped on her shoes and listened to him, "You know, about the gum exploding onto your face…"

"Oh, that," realized Rosie, "I'm still a little ticked about it, but I'll get over it. Nothing a little scrubbing didn't solve."

"Besides, it was an accident," reminded Percy.

"Anyway," cut in Thomas, "I'm a little bummed about the bench pressing record," He felt a little ashamed, "I don't want to be seen as a quitter."

"A quitter?!" Rosie yelled out, "'Never'!"

"Shh, shh, shh!" hushed Thomas, "Not so loud."

And Rosie shut her mouth, regretting her overreaction.

"Hey, you'll break the record sooner or later," encouraged Percy.

"It's like they always say; if at first you don't succeed, try, try again," quoted Murdoch.

"Suuuuure he will," The voice of Diesel snorted, as he and Dennis walked up. He and his best friend/minion were grinning, "Hi, pinheads."

"Ha! Good one, Diesel," praised Dennis.

"Anyway, I heard you choked out not once, but twice on that record held by Hank," teased Diesel, walking around the table before stopping behind Thomas, "We know you'll never break it in a hundred years, so you might as well just stop humiliating yourself."

"Ugh! You guys are like a bad dream," retorted Percy.

"Yeah, just leave him alone," requested Rosie.

"Oh, what a laugh this is," chortled Dennis, as Thomas frowned but stayed silent, "It seems you need a wimp and a girl to protect you from the big bad world."

Percy and Rosie angrily stood up from their seats, but Dennis quickly forced the former to sit back down. Meanwhile, Thomas held his hands up and calmed them both, but mostly Rosie, down.

"Hey, I can handle this," proclaimed Thomas.

"Oh ho! Oh, you think you're so tough?" taunted Diesel, shivering sarcastically, "You're tough, so tough I'm shaking in my boots!"

Suddenly, the Smelter Teen grappled Thomas from behind, pulled him up from his seat, and started twisting his arm. Thomas groaned in pain, but he resisted it long enough to ask a question.

"Hey, Diesel, are you ticklish?" smirked Thomas.

"Yeah, why do you-?" Diesel began to respond.

He never finished his sentence, as Thomas started tickling Diesel's side with his free hand and he burst out laughing. But that proved to be a costly mistake, as that made him loosen his grip on Thomas, allowing him to stomp on Diesel's foot hard, causing Diesel to yell in pain.

"My foot!" howled Diesel, just before bending forth to touch his hurt foot. But then the seat of his pants split open, showing black and yellow striped boxers underneath, "My pants!"

Diesel tried to cover up, but he wound up moving too fast and that resulted in him tripping and falling on his back. Diesel's pants were now ruined, much to his embarrassment. This caused Thomas, Rosie, Percy, Murdoch, and even Dennis to laugh loudly.

"Go get some pants, Diesel!" Murdoch said jokingly, "The rules say you're not supposed to show your underwear in the Youth Center, as there could be children around!"

"He's right, Diesel," agreed Dennis, as Diesel looked up and fumed, "You know you're not allowed to show your underwear here."

"Aw, shaddap and help me, you idiot," groaned Diesel.

From there, Dennis helped Diesel up and led him to the men's locker room. When they were out of sight, Thomas spoke to his friends again.

"See? I told you I could handle it myself," he pointed out.

"Nobody said you couldn't," insisted Murdoch.

"Yeah, that's right!" nodded Rosie, "And besides, what's wrong with getting a little help from your friends?"

"Nothing, unless you're trying to break the bench press record," mused Thomas.

Pretty soon, Kevin arrived with the drinks. Murdoch reached into his pocket and realized something…

"Oh, shoot!" cried Murdoch, "I left my wallet in the men's locker room!" He got up, "Don't worry, I'll be right back."

He ran off in a hurry. As soon as Murdoch was gone, there was a beeping sound coming from Thomas's communicator. Thomas quickly covered his to block out the noise, but Kevin unfortunately heard it.

"What's that?" wondered Kevin.

"Err… It's a new watch," lied Thomas.

"We gotta go now, tell Murdoch thanks for the drinks," added Percy hastily.

Before Kevin could respond, Thomas, Percy, and Rosie made a dash for the exit.

"Hey, where are you guys going?" blinked Kevin.

He shook his head and placed the tray on the table, just as Murdoch returned with his wallet.

"Where's Thomas, Percy, and Rosie?" quizzed Murdoch.

"They had to run as it would seem," answered Kevin.

Near the entrance/exit of the building, Thomas, Percy, and Rosie found it was clear of people and allowed them to respond to who was contacting them.

"Zordon, we read you," reported Thomas.

"Power Rangers, Rita Repula is at it again," The voice of Zordon boomed.

(Command Center)

In the Command Center's interior, Zordon was talking to the left then into the center.

"It's imperative that you teleport to the children's theater in the park immediately," commanded Zordon.

The Viewing Globe displayed footage of Thomas, Percy, and Rosie still at the Youth Center and talking to Zordon through their communicators.

"What's going on?" asked Thomas.

"She's sent down a team…" The voice of Zordon revealed, as he was shown talking into the center, and maybe drifted to the right a little by the end, "…of Putties and an unknown monster in an attempt to get control of the park. Be careful…"

(Youth Center)

"…and may the power protect you," The voice of Zordon warned.

From there, Thomas, Percy, and Rosie shut off their communicators and reached for the Power Morphers near their respective backsides.

"It's Morphin Time, guys!" called Thomas.

(Morphing sequence)

A stylized lightning bolt struck in front of a purple circle, behind was a black background. Crackling around the lightning bolt and circle were blue energy bolts (with some yellow and pink also present). The morphing sequence was as followed; each teenager was seen holding out his/her open Power Morpher inside the image of a giant open Power Morpher, with the teenager being surrounded by Ranger-colored electricity shown within what would have been the Morpher's red inside area.

"Mastodon!" called Percy.

"Pterodactyl!" called Rosie.

"Tyrannosaurus!" called Thomas.

(End morph)

Somewhere in Knapford City, Red Ranger free fell away from a tall tower, while Black Ranger free fell from the sky in the city, and Pink Ranger free fell near an office building.

(Rita's Palace)

Inside the Lunar Palace, Rita smiled wickedly, turning to the right and pointing with her right hand.

"Attack!" shouted Rita.

(Children's Theater)

At the theater in the park, Squatt and Baboo fade in out of nowhere, applauding on the stadium seats.

"Yay! Oh goodie!" cheered Baboo.

Three Putties flipped onto the scene. Red Ranger and Black Ranger posed on the stage, but the former ceased and looked upward.

"Uh-oh!" fretted Thomas.

Putty leaps up at its target with a fist out, as Pink Ranger looked off distantly on another part of the stage, just as Putties swarmed behind her. She soon stopped being distracted, with Putties swarming around, and she ducked under one, hit and kicked another in the face, then dodged away from another. In the back of the stage area, Black Ranger and Red Ranger were fighting Putties. Red Ranger managed to pin the arm of a rocky-looking Putty, a Putty Captain, and managed to talk.

"Let's finish these Putties!" ordered Thomas confidently.

(Rita's Palace)

Inside the Lunar Palace, Rita stood at the balcony railing, facing the Earth and gesturing a lot.

"Don't waste time fighting, you brainless baboons!" berated Rita, "Get the others away from Thomas!"

(Children's Theater)

Back at the theater, Squatt and Baboo watched from the seats as Pink Ranger flip-kicked into a Putty, gazing worriedly to the side, ducking under a Putty Captain's attack and foot sweeping it down.

"This is weird, it's almost like they're after something," remarked Rosie, during the fight.

Just then, King Sphinx appeared out of nowhere and turned to face his targets.

"We are!" laughed King Sphinx.

"Eh?" peeped Rosie, turning around.

King Sphinx flexed both arms back and forth, causing his wings to flap and leaves to fly up in the breeze around him. Pink Ranger braced against wind futilely until she was thrown back and flung into the air. As pink energy, she soared through the city against her will towards a new location.

(Youth Center)

The location was the gym at the Youth Center. The pink energy turned back into Rosie, demorphed, and on the balance beam as a gymnastics class was going on in the background.

(Children's Theater)

Back at the outdoor theater, Black Ranger and Red Ranger knocked down a Putty apiece and then looked forth at something.

"What happened to Rosie?" pondered Thomas.

"Dunno," responded Percy, looking ahead as Putties approached from behind, "but I'm going to find out."

He then grabbed a Putty by the top of the head and flipped him over. Afterwards, he pointed outward briefly.

"What did you do to Rosie?" accused Percy.

Over at the seats, Squatt and Baboo clapped profusely and happily.

"We're not telling!" mocked Squatt.

"Nah nah!" put in Baboo, maliciously.

Angrily, Black Ranger responded by leaping through the air with fist out.

"Oh yeah?!" threatened Percy.

He slammed into Squatt upon landing, knocking him over into Baboo, then turning around. Meanwhile, Red Ranger shifted to a new position and gestured a fist in response as Putties continued swarming around.

"It wasn't them, it was the sphinx!" called Thomas.

"Where is he?" urged Percy, jumping down from seat to step and looking forward.

(Rita's Palace)

At half the edge of the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita looked out from her Repulsascope in a bad temper.

"That Thomas has had it!" raged Rita.

(Children's Theater)

Back at the outdoor theater, King Sphinx reappeared and started the wing flapping again. Black Ranger braced against the wind but was thrown back and flung through the air, kicking feet and screaming while going. As black energy, he soared through the city against his will towards a new location.

(Youth Center)

The black energy turned back into Percy, demorphed, and on the balance beam as a gymnastics class was going on in the background. To his surprise, Rosie was on the beam, too, who had been blown away by King Sphinx.

"Rosie?" gasped Percy.

"Percy?" came from Rosie, before looking away, "Well, that was really weird."

"No kidding," agreed Percy, before remembering something, "Thomas! He's alone against that sphinx!"

"We need to get back and help Thomas," insisted Rosie, jumping off the balance beam.

"We're gonna need some help," Percy pointed out, "Let's get to the Command Center and contact Emily and Toby."

From there, Percy and Rosie left the Youth Center…again.

(Children's Theater)

Back at the outdoor theater, Red Ranger punched away a Putty Captain, then appeared to speak to the right.

"That's it!" shouted Thomas.

At the stands, Squatt and Baboo clapped, ceased while looking at one another, then Baboo resumed clapping while Squatt pointed ahead.

"Hey, he shouldn't be tough to beat now!" figured Squatt.

Back on the stage…

"Bring my friends back!" demanded Thomas, motioning his right arm down while talking to the right.

"No way!" refused King Sphinx, as he turned around and fired from staff.

With Putties lying prone around him, Red Ranger was narrowly missed by a pair of bursts, leading to him rolling out from the smoke and jumping upward.

(Command Center)

Inside the main area of the Command Center, Alpha was pitching a fit while holding his stuffed robo-bear.

"Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi!" panicked Alpha, "Thomas is in trouble! Rita has him isolated! Contact is impossible!"

(Children's Theater)

Red Ranger leaped forth through the air in a pose. Suddenly, he brought out his Power Sword and kept it poised while coming down. Red Ranger then landed with the Power Sword slashed into King Sphinx, causing a spark blast, he then ducked under the monster's staff, but got struck by surprise. They then both lunged at each other and locked weapons before breaking off, sparks flying everywhere. Red Ranger and King Sphinx then locked their weapons again and came face-to-face.

"Enough of this!" snarled King Sphinx, "Do some real fighting!"

The two combatants leaped upwards, with Red Ranger and King Sphinx moving upward together on the stage before they fell into two purple/pink-like beams created by the latter, leaving the theater behind.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

From some crimson-like mist, Red Ranger and King Sphinx teleported atop a cliffside somewhere in Ffarquhar Quarry and rolled down the big hill and onto a plain at the quarry center, rising to face one another again.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita looked out from her Repulsascope and laughed to herself over her advantage.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back at the quarry, King Sphinx whipped around his staff, while Red Ranger prepared his Power Sword, then began battling King Sphinx, taking several sparking hits while only getting one hit in before ending up on his back beneath the monster. King Sphinx slammed down his staff, but Red Ranger held up his Power Sword to block it.

"You're nothing without your friends," mocked King Sphinx, as Red Ranger struggled, "Why don't you just give up?"

King Sphinx still had Red Ranger pinned down, but he finally broke free by kicking up into the monster's head, causing him to fall down and roll away.

(Rita's Palace)

Inside the Lunar Palace, Rita stood on the balcony holding her scepter horizontally, shaking it encouragingly while Squatt and Baboo stood behind her, the former excited.

"Yeah, get him!" shrieked Rita.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back at the battle, Red Ranger and King Sphinx leaped at each other, hitting each other with their respective weapon on the way with sparking results before landing, just as Goldar hopped down in the foreground, readied his sword, then flung a ball of blue light from the weapon that turned into a fireball that crashed behind Red Ranger, he flipped out of the way and continued to fight King Sphinx some more while getting sparkly struck in chest by the staff. Red Ranger slashed his Power Sword with both hands over head, and King Sphinx got struck in the chest by sword, sparking and smoking.

(Rita's Palace)

Back on the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita hurled her scepter off the edge while Squatt pointed and Baboo was just there.

"Take that!" roared Rita.

(Space to Earth)

Rita's scepter soared to Earth through outer space, where it passed through the atmosphere staked into the dirt. From there, it unleashed energy from its center orb, and energy rippled into the ground beneath causing a quake to ensue while smoke billowed from the big fault in the ground. Goldar was covered in smoke, ground quaking around him, which was the same with King Sphinx, being covered in smoke while the ground quaked around him. Fire was even spewing up within the Earth until it smoldered, with smoke flowing skyward through the ridge at top. Goldar rose up amid smoke, growing to giant height, roaring like a demon throughout. King Sphinx also rose up amid smoke, growing to giant height.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Tiny Red Ranger ran up and turned around to see both the now giant-sized Goldar and King Sphinx standing above him, and they began to walk forth, with Goldar's foot stomping down as the tiny Red Ranger rolled out of the way, sword in hand, dodged to the right and kinda hid behind a small bit of debris. Just then, King Sphinx's giant foot stomped down as the tiny Red Ranger rolled out of the way. He, with Power Sword in hand, dodged to the left.

"Boy, these guys are good," remarked Thomas, "I sure wish the others were here to help!"

He stood back up, while King Sphinx aimed his staff downward, which the top hit ground, but the still tiny Red Ranger, yelling out, rolled out of the way. King Sphinx merely raised his staff back up as he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Goldar.

(Rita's Palace)

Back on the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita cackled loudly.

(Stirling residence)

At the Stirling residence within Knapford, as the evening time began, Emily was inside her room doing her homework. There was also a plate of food on the desk, half eaten by the looks of it. Suddenly, her communicator went off, causing her to look up. Emily put the pencil on the desk and responded to her communicator.

"Yes?" answered Emily.

"Ay-yi-yi-yi! Emily, you must come to the Command Center! Thomas needs your help!" The voice of Alpha cried out.

Emily looked worried when she heard Thomas was in danger, but nodded and pressed a button on her communicator. Emily was engulfed in a beam of yellow light, before being teleported out of her bedroom.

(Holden residence)

Inside the Holden residence at Arlesdale End, Toby and his cousin Flora were seated at the dining room table working on their own homework. Flora was about the same age as Toby. She had blonde hair done up in a ponytail, purple eyes, and her skin was noticeably tanned. She was dressed in a white shirt, a red flannel jacket, and slightly ripped jeans and roper boots. She also sported a felt hat on her head. During which, Toby's communicator went off, startling him and Flora.

"What in tarnation was that?" wondered Flora.

"Um… Nothing!" stated Toby, hating to lie to his own cousin. He got up, taking his homework, "In fact, I…think I'll handle my homework inside my room. I hope you don't mind."

"Toby?" Flora pressed, but Toby ignored her and left the dining room. Now left alone, she looked a little bit disappointed, "Oh, Toby…"

Either way, she picked up the textbook and resumed reading through it. Retreating to his bedroom, Toby placed his things on the computer desk before speaking into his communicator.

"This is Toby," responded Toby, "Is that you, Percy?"

"You bet it is!" The voice of Percy confirmed, "You'd better hurry over to the Command Center! We have big trouble!"

"Trouble? What kind of trouble?" frowned Toby, growing concerned.

"It's Thomas! He's being attacked by Goldar and a giant sphinx!" The voice of Rosie cut in.

"Goldar? And a sphinx?!" recoiled Toby, before growing determined, "Just sit tight, I'm coming over."

He briefly looked at the homework on his desk, but figured it could wait a little long before pressing a button on his communicator. Toby was engulfed in a beam of blue light, before being teleported out of his bedroom.

(Command Center)

Outside the Command Center, all was peaceful and quiet. Inside the main area, Zordon had much he wanted to say.

"Alpha, adjust the Morphing Grid and locate Thomas on the Viewing Globe," requested Zordon, talking to the left with his facial expressions quite vivid.

Alpha went to work, as Percy, Emily, Toby, and Rosie all looked to the Viewing Globe.

"I think I have a fix on him," uttered Alpha, pressing buttons on the console, "Ah, there!"

The Viewing Globe displayed footage of the Tiny Red Ranger running up and turning around to see both the now giant-sized Goldar and King Sphinx standing above him, and they began to walk forth, with Goldar's foot stomping down as the tiny Red Ranger rolled out of the way, sword in hand, dodged to the right and kinda hid behind a small bit of debris. King Sphinx raised his staff back up as he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Goldar, while Red Ranger, as he backed up as fast as he could, whipped his Power Sword around while looking upward. The footage then ceased as the distressed Ranger teens looked at Zordon for guidance.

"Zordon, Thomas needs our help," urged Emily, "Is there anything we can do?"

"There is a way, Emily," responded Zordon, facing straight but his eyes were kinda looking to the right, lifting his head a lot while speaking, "The Power Crystals are the key to it."

"Power Crystals?" repeated Percy.

"Of course," The voice of Zordon reassured, as Rosie, Emily, Percy, and Toby looked at each other, and then back towards him, "Put your hands together and bring forth the Power Crystals!"

Slowly moving their hands apart, Percy (Black), Rosie (Pink), Toby (Blue), and Emily (Yellow) each created an energized crystal made of their Ranger-based colors—one person at a time.

"The crystals contain the essence of your morphing powers. Use them to find each other in any peril, and with your Zords to draw power from the very heart of the Morphing Grid," The voice of Zordon was explaining, as the above scenario played out. He was then shown talking to the left then slowly making his way to the right, "I'm sending the crystals directly to Thomas," As he continued speaking, Alpha was handed the newly formed Power Crystals, "once in his possession, you'll be able to join him and stop King Sphinx and Goldar," The wise sage was now speaking center-left, "Together, they are nearly unbeatable, so call your Zords quickly and may the power protect you."

"No need to tell us twice, Zordon," reassured Rosie.

"We just need to be quick about it," added Toby.

"Alpha, tap into the grid and send the crystals to Thomas's sword," advised Zordon, speaking to the center-left, starting off with his mouth closed for a change, pausing briefly with a slight head lowering before resuming. From there, after the four remaining Ranger teens listened, Alpha was able to make the Power Crystals vanish, "Hurry, Alpha, he doesn't have much time."

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back at the quarry, continuing from the staff-raising moment, King Sphinx and Goldar start walking again as Red Ranger, just as he backed up as fast as he could, whipping his Power Sword around while looking upward.

"Oh man! This does not look good," groaned Thomas.

All of a sudden, his Power Sword while it was being raised then began swirling with blue energy and sparkles. Red Ranger looked at the Power Sword, and he yelled in surprise while watching a bolt of blue electricity shoot from Power Sword towards the nearby cliffside where it struck, exploding into an avalanche.

"I wonder what's that?" Thomas asked himself, turning around to see what happened. He rushed to the site, "Let's go see."

He ran across the quarry, but had to hurry as King Sphinx and Goldar were right behind him. Red Ranger was halfway across the quarry, but Goldar took the chance to attack by putting his left hand to face briefly before firing pinkish eyebeam blasts downward. As Red Ranger ran forth, two pairs of explosions burst around him, followed by more spark bursts in his path. He wound up rolling on the ground then rising up and looking forth, where he saw something sparkling in the rockslide.

"Over there!" called Thomas, rushing ahead.

He approached the rockslide, rushing up the rocky hill, reaching the spot, stabbed the Power Sword into ground, then began removing stones covering the item. After digging enough, he finally uncovered a bag, with a symbol on it, surging with Ranger-colored energy.

"Are these-?" reacted Thomas. scooping up the bag.

King Sphinx fired a yellow bolt from his snakehead headband-like thing, causing smoke bursts from the rockslide and sending Red Ranger flipping off to the side. He rolled to safety, then grasped the bag with both hands. Moving quickly, Red Ranger opened the bag to find five crystals within—the same Power Crystals that Percy, Rosie, Toby, and Emily created at the Command Center.

"Power Crystals, alright!" cheered Thomas, before holding up the five Power Crystals in front of his visor, "Way to go, Zordon!"

Red Ranger started to move to the cliffside, standing at the edge while holding the crystals of his four teammates out.

"Hey, ugly!" insulted Thomas, before winding up to pitch the four Power Crystals, "I want you to meet some friends of mine!"

With that said, he flung the black, pink, blue, and yellow crystals skyward, turning them into four Ranger-colored streaks of energy. Nearby, a reddish swirling vortex light appeared and faded after a flash, as Black Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Pink Ranger all raced onto the scene, surging with power at first. No longer alone, Red Ranger held his own Power Crystal skyward.

"Now you're gonna see what friends working together can do!" gloated Thomas, standing in front of a lake, still holding his Power Crystal to the sky, "We need Dinozord power, now!"

From the middle of nowhere, the nearby ground began breaking open to reveal bursting flames from within a fault line. A crack in the ground then spread open, releasing a fireball from within the crack. It was then the head of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord slowly rose from the molten red ground, followed by its upper body, and finally it was followed by its lower body. Finally, the Tyrannosaurus rose up from above the fiery molten pit before straightening up amid flames and smoke. The Mastodon Dinozord was seen surfacing from its icy domain, where it exhaled an icy breath from its trunk, and its foot pounded down into the misty snow. The Mastodon then started to stomp through the snow until it was then shown fully walking through the arctic. The Triceratops Dinozord appeared within the sands of the desert. Its wheels passed through the desert sands as it continued to drive through the desert, approaching from a distance. Soon enough, the Triceratops raised its head and opened its mouth to roar while driving through the dusty terrain. The Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord was shown sprinting through the jungle. It then opened its mouth and let out a mighty roar. The Sabertooth Tiger then leaped out of the greenery, soaring through the sky where it let out an even louder roar. It soon started running through the air, hitting the ground and then kept racing along the horizon while continuing to dash forth amid the mist. A nearby volcano started to erupt, spewing upward magma and smoke. Inside, the Pterodactyl Dinozord soared upwards amid lava lights before flying straight out of the now-active volcano. It raised and lowered its head while continuing to fly amid molten lava lights. The Pterodactyl finally flew away from the smoking volcano and headed towards the trees. Having shown up, the Tyrannosaurus leaned down, chomping and rocking side to side a little. Red Ranger, looking upward, gestured an arm proudly.

"Alright!" whooped Thomas, before leaping up.

Red Ranger leaped up into the sky towards the Tyrannosaurus, which chomped and bared down as it watched its master come towards it. Red Ranger continued leaping up, passing beneath the Tyrannosaurus's jaw before finally landing up atop of the Tyrannosaurus's head, and then after a few seconds, he dropped inside. Red Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, and he gestured an arm, then looked down to his right.

"This is a whole new battle!" rejoiced Thomas.

From there, he slapped his left hand down on the palm activator. This caused the display of the Red Ranger helmet to lighten up. Then Red Ranger slapped his right hand down on the other palm activator, which caused the console display of the Red Ranger helmet and Red Ranger Zord face to shoot energy to the Tyrannosaurus symbol at the top which began to glow brightly. Red Ranger then just sat in the cockpit, moving his head and operating the controls.

"Let's do it, you guys!" commanded Thomas, being the team leader and all.

The Tyrannosaurus and its fellow Dinozords all raced alongside the horizon. The other four Rangers raced forth before Black Ranger brought both his feet together and began to leap upward. Blue Ranger and Black Ranger both leap up into the sky, and were followed by both Yellow Ranger and Pink Ranger leaving into the sky.

Black Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Mastodon Dinozord, and he gestured an arm.

"Percy here!" announced Percy, "Let's rock and roll!"

Blue Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Triceratops Dinozord, and he gestured with both arms.

"Toby here!" announced Toby, "All systems go!

Yellow Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord, and she gestured with both arms.

"This is Emily!" announced Emily, "It's time for some serious payback!"

Pink Ranger dropped into the cockpit of the Pterodactyl Dinozord, and she gestured an arm.

"And this is Rosie!" announced Rosie, "Let's jinx this sphinx!"

In the Tyrannosaurus cockpit, Red Ranger gestured his right arm, pulled out his Power Crystal, flipped it around, and prepared to insert it.

"Alright, Rangers, it's time to power up!" proclaimed Thomas.

With that said, he inserted his Power Crystal into his control slot with red energy results. The screen split into four squares (clockwise from top left) as each Ranger in their respective cockpits raised their own Power Crystal, preparing to insert them.

"Ready!" Toby, Emily, Rosie, and Percy all said at the same time, "Two, one, power up!"

With the screen still split into four, they inserted their Power Crystal into their control slots with colored energy results. In the Tyrannosaurus cockpit, Red Ranger moved the controls forth.

"It's time to bring 'em together!" acknowledged Thomas.

The Tyrannosaurus and its fellow Dinozords all raced alongside the horizon. The Sabertooth Tiger roared out, just before it suddenly went and locked itself into leg form, while the Triceratops opened its mouth while experiencing the desert breeze. Just then, it went and folded up its tail, and the Tyrannosaurus soon went and connected with the Triceratops and the Sabertooth Tiger legs electrically. The Mastodon briefly exhaled an icy breath from its trunk, but, just as quickly, it floated through the air in its component form. Soon, it went and connected with the Tyrannosaurus, causing a pulse of energy throughout. In the Megazord cockpit, the lights all came on as the Rangers were all seated inside at their stations. The Megazord Tank rolled along the field, as the eyes of all five Zords lightened up. The Triceratops's wheels passed through the desert sands as the Megazord Tank continued to rumble forward into battle. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger looked at his teammates.

"Let's show them what we're made of!" ordered Thomas.

"Morphin!" Toby, Emily, Rosie, and Percy reaffirmed at once.

The whole team raised fists. But that was when, in front of King Sphinx, Goldar charged up his sword and fired beams of flaming power. The Megazord Tank got blasted by multiple explosions, and the shaky Megazord cockpit got blasted with bursts of smoke and sparks, with the Rangers reacting accordingly.

(Rita's Palace)

Back on the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita cackled loudly.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back in the Megazord cockpit, it shook, but the Rangers held onto their controls.

"Ugh! Power up the cannons!" exclaimed Thomas.

The Megazord Tank fired from both of its cannons, causing both Goldar and King Sphinx to get blasted with an explosion. In the slightly shaken Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger gripped the controls.

"Let's try using the crystal power!" suggested Thomas.

The Megazord Tank fired colored energy bolts from each of the Zords, resulting in both Goldar and King Sphinx suffering another explosive blast, more directly in their chests this time, with the sparkly blast flaring out at the end.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita was looking into her Repulsascope, before looking out agape.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Inside the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers appeared to be happy at a successful hit against their enemy; Red Ranger pumped his fist, Black Ranger followed suit, Blue Ranger snapped his fingers then also pumped his fist, Pink Ranger clasping her hands, and Yellow Ranger shook giddily.

"Yeah!" beamed Thomas.

"We got 'em!" figured Toby.

"That was easy!" bragged Percy.

Their success was short-lived as King Sphinx and Goldar stepped out of the smoke, unharmed. In the Megazord cockpit, the give Rangers lowered their arms as they looked up to the left, clearly stunned by what they saw.

"That didn't work," gulped Emily.

"No way!" wailed Rosie.

From there, Goldar raised his sword above head and prepared to strike. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers kind of shield their faces with their hands and arms in fear, except for Red Ranger.

"Look out!" yelled Thomas.

"Whoa!" panicked Toby.

Goldar slashed down, smacking the sword with one hand against the window of the Megazord cockpit, causing it to shake, with the Rangers rattled—except Red Ranger, who recovered quickly to grab the controls. While the Megazord Tank was briefly reeling, King Sphinx and Goldar stepped back and fired both of their weapons to the right, and the Megazord Tank got blasted by multiple explosions. Not letting up, King Sphinx and Goldar fired both of their weapons to the right again, and the Rangers in the Megazord cockpit shook as it, too, got blasted with two explosions.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, Rita looked to the slight right while laughing deeply.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Inside the Megazord cockpit, as some mist passed in front of the window, Red Ranger gestured a fist then grabbed the control with both hands.

"Prepare to transform into Battle Mode!" declared Thomas, as he gestured a fist before grabbing the control with both hands.

Both Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger gave thumbs up to their leader then gripped their controls with both hands.

"Right!" Toby and Emily answered at the same time.

Both Pink Ranger and Black Ranger gave thumbs up to their leader then gripped their controls with both hands.

"Morphin!" Rosie and Percy put in at the same time.

Megazord Tank then came to a stop. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger raised a fist up, then forth, then gripped a control.

"Power up the transformation sequence!" announced Thomas.

The circle symbol of all five dinosaurs together glowed brightly with Ranger colors. Fists soon folded out from the Mastodon part of Tank Mode.

"Megazord sequence has been initiated," A computer aboard the Megazord was heard saying.

The bottom back of Tank Mode started to rise up. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers watched through the window while Tank Mode folded upward. Pretty soon, Tank Mode finished folding up into the body of the standing Megazord. Suddenly, the Pterodactyl soared downward from the sky and folded into the chest component as it headed to the Megazord's body below. The Tyrannosaurus's head folded down, revealing the Megazord head as the Pterodactyl connected as the chest plate, horns folded out on the head, eyes glowing, and a bright flash ensued.

"Megazord activated!" finished the computer.

And the Megazord posed, fully formed amid lightning. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger lowered right first then crossed arms at wrist before flipping them around to hold his forearms then stretching out the full arms.

"We've done it, Rangers!" rejoiced Thomas.

"Uh-oh!" freaked out Goldar, looking slightly upward before flipping his sword around.

"Uh-oh!" shivered King Sphinx, who appeared disturbed by what he saw.

(Rita's Palace)

On the balcony of the Lunar Palace, in a side view, Rita was looking intently into the Repulsascope, but then looked out of it wide-eyed and slack-jawed.

"Uh-oh!" worried Rita.

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

Back in the quarry, the Megazord stood victorious and ready for battle. In the Megazord cockpit…

"You guys ready? Let's nail them!" commanded Thomas, talking cautiously.

King Sphinx held out his staff and raced forth past Goldar. In the Megazord cockpit, slightly crooked, Red Ranger stood up slightly and looked downward around.

"Keep it steady! And watch out for that sphinx!" warned Thomas.

The Megazord knocked aside King Sphinx's staff then knocked aside Goldar's sword, before backhanding him twice sparkly before turning to the lunging King Sphinx, winding up, and throwing a punch, connecting and causing King Sphinx to burst and smoke from the chest. Then, using its left fist, the Megazord threw a punch, and King Sphinx, still smoking from before, bursted and smoked more after being hit in the chest again, causing the monster to fall down into the background as the Megazord walked into the foreground. Meanwhile, Goldar bound back to his feet and swung the sword back to the ready. The Megazord simply stood still in a battle ready position, almost frozen, and Goldar readied the sword in right hand and began to slash Megazord sparkly a few times in retaliation, before the giant robot bopped him one, before he prepared to strike back. From there, Goldar raised his sword, grabbed with both hands, and slashed down, but the Megazord, with its chest smoking, suddenly leaned straight back and avoided the sword slash. In the Megazord cockpit, from a bird's eye view, the five Rangers within appear surprised, as the lights flash on and off around them and they look around.

"Whoa!" cried Emily.

"That was too close for comfort!" panted Rosie.

"I'm switching back to Tank Mode!" added Thomas.

The Megazord began lowering itself back into Tank Mode. In the Megazord cockpit, the Rangers watched through the window while Megazord folded downward, and soon the bottom back of Tank slammed on the ground. Goldar watched and lowered his sword and gestured both arms in anger as smoke floated behind him. The Megazord Tank drove up real close, and Goldar ended up blasted up close this time, throwing him to the ground, causing another quake. Tank Mode then folded up into the body of the Megazord again. King Sphinx ran to Goldar's side as he got back on his feet, then turned to face the enemy—only for the Megazord's horns to surge with power and eyes flashed, leaning forth and firing a beam of red and blue power from horns, resulting in King Sphinx and the still-not-yet-back-up-fully Goldar getting sparkly blasted, the explosion compounding until everything goes white. In the Megazord cockpit, the male Rangers raised their fists in triumph, while Yellow Ranger grabbed Blue Ranger's arm and Pink Ranger looked sharply to the right.

"Yes!" whooped Emily.

"That's gotta hurt!" figured Percy.

The Megazord was slowly walking toward some green bushes when it looked up and to the left, surprised. And it had a good reason for it; King Sphinx leaped up and aimed his staff down to strike, but missed the Megazord when landing, then got his next staff strike blocked, before finally being repeatedly hit before finally getting sparkly punched away. King Sphinx rolled back to his feet and stood undeterred, but the Megazord put its arms into a battle ready position. In the Megazord cockpit, the five Rangers remained cautious about the battle going on, though Black Ranger was anticipating the end.

"Come on, let's end this guy already!" urged Percy.

Goldar attacked with his sword twice, but the Megazord blocked each blow, only to be struck by a right leg kick. In the Megazord cockpit…

"Watch the flank!" exclaimed Thomas, before looking and talking alertly, "Uh-oh! Look out!"

On cue, King Sphinx began to do the wing flapping thing he liked doing, with the right wing first gaining strength, followed by the left wing gaining strength, and soon King Sphinx was blowing VERY strong wind at the Megazord, who resisted against the intense wind-gust being blown at it. As hard as it tried, its feet were staggering amid the wind-gusting, and King Sphinx did not stop the wing flapping thing. In the Megazord cockpit, Red Range, as he talked, then raised his right fist briefly, while his teammates held onto the controls as wind blew in front of the window.

"Geez! We're not getting anywhere with these guys!" complained Thomas, before, after a second, looking towards the heavens, "It's time to turn up the heat! We need the Mega Sword, now!"

A sword plummeted from the dark and stormy skies, impaling the ground while surging with electricity. When the Megazord tried to grip its handle, it couldn't get it with its left hand, so it grabbed the sword instead with its right hand. Now armed, the Megazord then gestured its Mega Sword into a battle ready position, ending with it surging out a shining prism effect from its tip. King Sphinx stopped flapping his wings and shuddered in fear. In the Megazord cockpit, as determination was briefly seen from the visor of Red Ranger's helmet, the five Rangers raised their right arms.

"You're through, sphinx!" announced Thomas.

"HYAH!" Toby, Emily, Rosie, and Percy all cried out in unison.

They all made a slashing downward motion with their raised right arms, and the Megazord motioned its Mega Sword, pulsing with lightning and electricity, powering it up while raising it upward into the sky, which surged with a reddish storm. Knowing he was doomed, King Sphinx shivered and cowered, and, under the reddish sky storm, the Megazord slashed the Mega Sword downward, leaving a visible trail. King Sphinx got slashed by the sword, sparks and pulses of energy were released, until he collapsed before exploding massively, which turned into an added burst of sparks.

(Rita's Palace)

Inside the Lunar Palace, Rita rushed forward, appearing aghast, then stopped, clutching her forehead briefly and grimacing.

"Ooh! You dummies!" whined Rita, before ceasing and glowering.

(Command Center)

Inside the Command Center, Alpha happily slammed down his robo-bear over the Rangers being victorious again.

"Way to go, Power Rangers!" praised Alpha, "One down and one to go!"

(Ffarquhar Quarry)

In the Megazord cockpit, Red Ranger was talking while turning his head side to side, prompting his four teammates to raise their fists up at the end.

"Alright, let's finish him off!" requested Thomas.

"Right!" Toby, Emily, Rosie, and Percy all agreed at the same time.

However, Goldar gestured with his left arm, switched his sword from the right hand to left, then raised the right hand.

"Ha!" snorted Goldar, "We'll meet again, Power Rangers!"

He vanished from the battlefield completely. The Megazord stood victorious while armed with its Mega Sword. The Rangers had won the day again.

(Rita's Palace)

Over at the Lunar Palace on the Moon, particularly onto the upper tower, there was a rant going on inside the building.

"This should have been a sure thing!" The voice of Rita hollered, obviously furious.

On the balcony, Rita was, as to be expected, angry and screaming over her plan's failure.

"I can't believe they beat the sphinx!" screeched Rita, as she stormed off the balcony, through the chamber, and into another room in a huff, leaving Finster cowering, Goldar kneeling, and both Baboo and Squatt quivering with terror, "Out of my way! Destroy a world, that's all I ask. Do they do it? Nooo!"

(Youth Center)

The next day at the Youth Center, a little after school, Thomas was back in the gym attempting to break the bench pressing record set by Hank. Like yesterday, Gordon was spotting for him, and a large crowd had gathered—including Victor and Kevin, who were on break.

"Almost there, Thomas. Just ten more to go!" The voice of Percy encouraged.

"Ninety-two, ninety-three…" counted Gordon.

Everyone watched anxiously and worriedly, wondering if Thomas would either succeed or fail to break the record. At first, it looked like the red-faced Thomas was going to collapse, but their fears were not found this time, as…

"Ninety-nine… ONE HUNDRED!" finished Gordon, whooping loudly, "Ladies and gentleman, I'm proud to announce that Thomas Billinton…" As he proudly announced the results, Thomas placed the weight back in its spot and sighed with exhaustion, "…has done it! He has broken the record that Hank Baldwin had set! One-hundred weight lifts!"

Everyone in the crowd, even Hank, started cheering loudly as Gordon, Henry, and James each proudly approached their friend as he sat up; Henry put a towel around Thomas's shoulders while Gordon and James both raised Thomas' arms in the air victoriously. Emily and Rosie, however, were both so happy for Thomas that they both broke away from the crowd and kissed him on the cheek at the same time; Emily to the right, and Rosie to the left, with Thomas blushing happily from the pleasant surprise. Upon realizing what the other did, Emily and Rosie's giddily expressions turned sour as they glared daggers at each other.

"You!" spat Emily venomously.

"You!" hissed Rosie, equally hostile.

Everyone grew nervous as Emily and Rosie got up in each other's faces, with Emily towering over Rosie, and stared bitterly and jealousy at each other.

"Awkward…" The voice of Percy echoed.

The crowd, including Victor and Kevin, all wisely decided to just walk away from the two girls without speaking up as they continued to stare each other down, not making any sort of sound or movement. Meanwhile, everyone merely retreated to the bar in order to celebrate Thomas's big achievement.

"I envy you, Thomas," James said all of a sudden, leaning in near Thomas's face, "I really do. You've got two girls throwing themselves at you! What's your secret?"

"I honestly don't even try," admitted Thomas.

"Shouldn't you have known this would happen when you started dating Emily?" remarked Henry.

"It was like this 'long' before then," sighed Thomas, "I like Rosie, but just not in the way she likes me. I know she understands, but still, it's only a matter of time before those two rip each other's heads off…"

"And you returning Rosie's advances in front of Emily doesn't help," smirked James, straightening himself back up with folded arms, "Admit it, you know we're right about that."

"That's just harmless fun," denied Thomas.

"Sure, you keep telling us that," chuckled Gordon.

"Well now, congrats, Thomas ol' buddy! Always had a feelin' you'd pull through," praised Hank, accepting his defeat before making an offer to Thomas, "How's 'bout a cake to celebrate? Ah had Victor whip it up earlier in preparation."

"You know, I would like that," accepted Thomas.

To seal the deal, he and Hank shook hands. It was then Victory showed up carrying a freshly baked cake for Thomas as Hank had offered.

"Here you go, my friend," smiled Victor, placing the cake on the table, "A little something special for you," He winked, "It's my best one yet."

"Wow! Thanks, Victor!" gushed Thomas.

"I can't believe you broke Hank's record!" The voice of Diesel hollered, causing Thomas to look over. He, accompanied by Dennis, Dodge, and Splatter, walked up looking rather peeved, "I don't know how you were able to do it, but enjoy your victory while you can."

"And why's that?" yawned Percy.

"Why?" gawked Diesel, before looking at Dennis, "Dennis, go ahead and tell them."

"Because Diesel here plans to challenge that record Thomas set," revealed Dennis.

"Yeah! He's gonna challenge it!" repeated Splatter.

There was a long silence around the bar—before it was followed by loud laughter over what they perceived to be a hilarious joke.

"Hey, hey! You think I'm joking?" scowled Diesel.

"Pretty much," joked Thomas, "Now, why don't you just sit down, calm down," Focus went towards the cake in the middle of the table, "and have a piece of cake with us?"

"Cake, eh? Eh, I guess that sounds good," Diesel shrugged, figuring it was better than nothing, "But 'I' want the first piece. Got it?!"

"Yeah! The first piece!" stated Dodge.

Diesel was annoyed by Dodge and Splatter's tendency to say "Yeah!" and repeat his statements, and began to turn around to scold them—but he turned so quickly that he tripped over his feet and fell, face first, into the cake. Despite the cake being ruined, everyone merely laughed at the sight. Over at the gym section, even Emily and Rosie broke away from their little squabble to giggle at the display.

"Hey, Diesel, I know I offered you a piece of cake, but I never actually offered you the whole thing," chortled Thomas.

"Oh boy, Diesel, you look so funny!" teased Dennis, not realizing Diesel was plenty steamed at this point, "You really look funny!"

Diesel's response was taking a piece of the ruined cake and slamming it into Dennis's face, who picked a piece off and ate it, finding it to be delicious as Victor had claimed just a short time ago.

"Mmm, not bad," he commented absentmindedly.

And there's the fourth chapter, all finished. Nothing really much to for me say about it except the next chapter will be an adaptation of "Different Drum", so stay tuned real soon for it, right?
