Chapter 10: Rescue

At the Darksyde...

Thunderhoof was standing in front of Trailfire's cell and Trailfire was whining and whimpering as this annoys the Elk-con "Would you please shut it!?!" Thunderhoof shouted as the sparkling stopped. "Why do I have to be on prisoner guard duty? If Fracture was here, he would guard the sparkling with no problem, since he has a way with sparklings and younglings" Thunderhoof explained.

"True, Thunderhoof" Steeljaw agreed when he heard Thunderhoof complaining "It's been a long time since Fracture and his Minicons escaped way before Starscream freed us" Steeljaw explained. "When will he discover and come back to us?" Thunderhoof asked "Only time will tell" Steeljaw answered.

At Cybertron...

Orion Eclipse is at the space bridge with Knock Out, Breakdown, Arcee, Megatron, Hivemus Prime, and the Protectobots as Elita One is setting the coordinates that Starscream sent them along with Altair Comet by her side.

"Space bridge ready," Elita said as she pulls the lever and the portal opened. "Remember, Trailfire is on that ship," Orion Eclipse said reminding them "You don't have to tell me twice," Knock Out muttered as they all entered the portal.

Back at the Darksyde...

The portal opened as the Autobots stepped out of the portal. They were surrounded by New Decepticons "Starscream is right about a lot of New Decepticons...so cliché" Knock Out said. "I know right...Lord Starscream remembered before you did the holographic message you said like 'gather all the New Decepticons to fight the Autobots then sent the holographic message and tell them about it I was like 'come on that's too predictable'" Motorstrike added, "Yeah, but you know what they say..." Starscream said as he and Motorstrike both said "If ain't broke" then they laughed.

Knock Out just sighed and rolled his optics "Yeah, I believe Wheeljack would say 'Yeah, too predictable, blah, blah, blah," Knock Out said as he elbowed a New Decepticon soldier that was behind him in the face as they began fighting. Hivemus Prime, Arcee, and Breakdown fought Steeljaw, and Megatron fought Starscream as the Protectobots are shooting at the New Decepticons as they and Knock Out are on their way to the brig. Once they arrived Thunderhoof saw them "Eyo, my liege! The Autobots just--" Thunderhoof was cut off as Knock Out shoots a tranquilizer dart at him as the Elk-con loses consciousness and falls to the floor.

The Protectobots were surprised "I didn't know you can do that" Streetwise said "Was that for us in case something like this happens?" Hot Spot stated, "I bought us five minutes" Knock Out said as Red Alert hacks the password on the keypad as the cell opens and Trailfire saw the Protectobots and his father "DAD!!!" he yelled as he rushed toward his father as they embrace each other "It's okay, Daddy's here" Knock Out said as comforts him.

"Let's get out of here," Groove said as Prowl contacted Orion "Prowl to Orion Eclipse, we have Trailfire" Prowl said "Okay, meet us at our position, I'll contact Elita to space bridge us" Orion said "Understood, Prowl out," Prowl said as they head their way towards Orion's position.

Meanwhile...

Breakdown had managed to knock Steeljaw out as payback for knocking him out. "Autobots, Knock Out and the Protectobots rescued Trailfire" Orion said as they kept fighting as Knock Out and the Protectobots arrived. Knock Out saw Starscream still fighting Megatron as he growled "Hold him, please" Knock Out said as he hands Trailfire to Prowl and charges at Starscream.

"STARSCREAM!!!" Knock Out screamed as Starscream turned around and Knock Out tackles him and punches Starscream. The Autobots and New Decepticons stopped fighting as they were speechless that they never saw Knock Out fighting someone with his bare servos. Megatron noticed that Starscream is getting bruises and Energon dripping from his mouth.

"Okay, Knock Out, I believe he has enough" Megatron said as he grabs Knock and pulls him away from Starscream "Elita, Trailfire is rescued sent in the Space bridge," Orion said as the portal appeared as they all entered the portal as it closes. Starscream growls in defeat as he slams his fist to the floor "I was so close!!!" Starscream yelled as Astrocharge helps him up before taking him to the med bay to tend to his injuries.

At Cybertron...

Knock Out, Breakdown, Arcee, and Trailfire came home as Wildbreak and Rotorcharge saw them "Mom, Dad, Papa, Trailfire!" Rotorcharge exclaimed as he is happy that their home as Knock Out puts Trailfire down as the two sparklings embrace each other.

After the twins finished their hug, Wildbreak hugs his younger half-brother "I'm glad, you're okay" Wildbreak said, "Tell us about your rescue!" Rotorcharge exclaimed as the parents went to the living room and told Rotorcharge and Wildbreak about the rescue.

The next morning...

Sideswipe was at the marketplace buying Energon for him and his classmates. Sideswipe was wearing the probation metal wristband which is sky blue, he thinks back to what Prowl told him when he puts the probation band on him when they were at the academy.

(Flashback)

Sideswipe and Prowl were in the hallway as he explains about the probation band "Whenever the cops try to arrest you, you show them the probation band and they let you be" Prowl said "Okay sir" Sideswipe said.

(Flashback ends)

After Sideswipe finished buying energon, he looks at the time of the clock stand and his optics widen, it was the time for the Academy to start "Oh no, I'm going to be late for class!" he exclaimed as he ran his to the academy.

He passes to police officers "Excuse me, officers!" he said, "Kid, watch out!" One of them shouted as Sideswipe falls down to the ground as if he tripped on something or...someone "Ow" a voice said as Sideswipe turned his attention to the source. It was a Minicon: two shades of blue-gray, a mech, and he appears to be in his 50s.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry officer!" Sideswipe exclaimed as he stands up and helps the Minicon back on his peds "I didn't look where I was going, I was in a hurry to the academy" he said. "It's okay, kid. I didn't see you there" the Minicon said "Detective Dropforge! Are you alright?" the police officer asked as he and the other officer rush to his side. One was white and the other was gray, then a third one appeared as he is black and white.

"I'm fine," Dropforge said "You must be Detective Dropforge, Strongarm told me about you," he said when the three cops saw Sideswipe they pull out their guns "Freeze you're under arrest," the black and white cop said as Sideswipe showed them the probation band as they lower their guns.

"You're under probation? When did it take for someone to finally capture you?" the gray cop asked "Crazy story...one of your cadets, Strongarm captured me" Sideswipe said as they were surprised "It took one cadet to capture you?" the white cop stated "Yes, I love to stay and chat, but I got to get the academy on time. Nice meeting you!" Sideswipe said as he ran off.

At the Academy...

Sideswipe took the shortcut as he made it on time and listens to Kup's lessons. When it was lunchtime, he and his classmates were drinking the Energon that he bought "Hey guys, you won't believe who I ran into this morning? After I bought the Energon, I met Detective Dropforge and his deputies" he said. Strongarm spits Energon out when Sideswipe mentioned Dropforge "You did!?!" she exclaimed "Yes, I did and I met three cops and I assume their his deputies," Sideswipe said "Cool!" his classmates exclaimed, "Tell us more!" Jake said as Sideswipe explains more about his encounter with Dropforge.

At the Darksyde...

Astrocharge had just finished healing Starscream and the New Decepticon warlord was furious that he was this close to getting his revenge on Megatron and the Autobots, yet they have all managed to rescue Trailfire and escape the Darksyde, especially after Knock Out attacked Starscream for hiring Steeljaw and his pack to abduct his son when it should have been an orphan sparkling.

"GRRAAAAAAGHH!!! I WAS SO CLOSE!!!" Starscream yelled in rage before he calmed himself down and sighed, "No matter. I WILL have my vengeance on all my enemies and especially those traitors, Knock Out and Megatron if it's the last thing I ever do!" he promised to himself.

"Master?" Astrocharge asked. Starscream looked at him and raised his voice, "WHAT?!?" he asked. "My lord, I know that we were unable to destroy our enemies, but may I suggest that we wait until next time when we come up with a plan to help you get revenge on your former master?" Astrocharge suggested. "I don't want to wait until next time, Astrocharge!! I want Megatron to suffer just as I have suffered! I want to behead him and keep his head as a trophy on my wall!" Starscream ranted.
