I walked through the crowded halls of the school as I headed towards my first class. I then trip over my shoelaces and fall into another person. "Oh my god, I am so sorry." I say and the boy looks at me. "It is quite alright. You're the new girl, Isabella Swan right." I nod and he smiles. "How are you liking Forks so far?" He asks as he shifts from one foot to the other nervously. "It's nice." I say and he nods. "Do you have a guild to show you around today?" He asks and I shake my head. His face lights up as soon as I do that. "Follow me, I can show you around. Where is your first class?" He grabs my arm and I tense up.
Suddenly a book hits him square in the face and he crumples to the ground clutching his face as he withers in agony on the ground. "Are you okay?" female voice says behind me and when I turn around my heart stops. It was a beautiful girl that had exotic coppery skin that complemented her dark hair. I blushed and looked down at my shoes, having a newfound interest in them.
"You, okay? I did not hit you right?" she asks her voice laced with concern. I nod slowly while my eyes stay glued to the ground. "My name is Leah and you." she stops talking and it took me a minute to realize she was asking for my name. "Oh, my is Bella." I stammer and she smiles. "Bella." she mummers letting my name roll of her tongue as if she was savoring it. "What classes do you have?" she asks, and I hand her my schedule.
"We have a few of our classes together. Let me show you the way to mythology." She then wraps her arm around my waist, and guilds me to my first period class. We were both able to get to class before the bell rung. "I was wondering when you would show up." Mr. Ford says as he looks up from his attendance sheet and looks from Leah to me. "You even brought a new friend. "He gets up from his chair and outstretches his hand to me. "My name is Mr. Ford. You are Bella, correct?" I shake his hand and nod.
"You can sit next to Leah." He says very cheerfully as If he was plotting something evil. "Ford." Leah said warningly and he smirks. "Well, I was just trying to give you both a push in the right direction. After all you have been wait so long for your Im.." Leah covers his mouth with her hand cutting him off mid-sentence. We soon go to our seats and class starts. "After we just finished our course on vampires." I hear Leah growl at the word Vampire.
" We shall learn about the Nemean Lion and how Hercules killed it. After we study this topic all week, we will have a test on Friday." Mr. Ford announces and the class groans. The class passes by more quickly that I would have hoped, and it was time for me to go to mathematics. "Bye, Mr. Ford." I say as I walk out of the classroom and Leah for some reason trails behind me. "Leah, don't you have English." Her eyes glaze over as I speak, and she shakes her head as if she was clearing her mind. "Yeah right, sorry." her eyes filled up with sadness and then she walked off towards her next class. My heart feels like it was breaking but I decided that it would be best to get to class. I forget about the moment in the hallway and my classes fly by and before I knew it, it was time for lunch.
When I arrive to the cafeteria, most of the table's seat was filled up except a table in the corner where Leah and a few other kids sat and talked. Leah sees me and smiles brilliantly as she waves me over to sit with them. The feeling of butterflies erupts in my stomache and I blush. I quickly get lunch and walk over to her table. Leah's Brillant smile grew larger as I took a seat next to her. "So, who is the new girl. And why does she got Leah's panties in a twist." a kid who looked to be the youngest of the group joked. Leah choked on her water and the guy across from us laughed uncontrollably. "Seth, why did you have to say it like that." the guy pants as soon as he stops laughing. Seth laughed as well.
"It is true though." Seth jokes again and Leah chuck an apple at him, and he ducks. "My name is Embry." the guy says, and I nod. We continued to talk throughout the lunch and Seth continued to make jokes targeted at both me and Leah.
