Marvel: From the Void and Back Again

Chapter 26: The Vulnerability

Elsa Bloodstone's boots echoed through the dank corridors of the vampire den. Her associates were mopping up the last remnants of the bloodsuckers they had hunted that night, and this time was particularly brutal she didn't mind brutal on occasion, but tonight was the fourth time in a row, she didn't prefer to get too much blood on her jacket.

It's hard to get the stains out since it's usually leather.

As she wiped vampire ash off her blade, her communicator buzzed insistently. Glancing at the screen, she saw a message from the Order.

"Top members meeting. Return to base. Urgent." Which made Elsa raise an eyebrow in response, usually she would only be invited to these meetings for particular targets, ones that wouldn't go down easy.

After ensuring the area was secure, Elsa headed back to base, the sense of urgency weighing on her. The Order's headquarters was abuzz with activity when she arrived. She entered the meeting room, noting the presence of the top brass. This wasn't a casual get-together; it was serious.

"Glad you could make it, Bloodstone," one of the senior members greeted her. "We have a critical situation and need your expertise."

Elsa took a seat, and thick files were handed out. As she opened hers, she quickly scanned the pages. The details were both impressive and alarming. Their target was someone she had heard about frequently in recent months.

Peter-Knull.

Her eyes widened as she flipped through the pages, absorbing the information. This wasn't just any target; this was the Spider-Man/Knull variant who had been making headlines.

"Peter-Knull," she muttered under her breath, feeling a knot of anxiety tighten in her stomach.

"We've confirmed that he has taken on both Orchis and Hydra simultaneously," another member elaborated. "He's consumed multiple Knull entities—nineteen confirmed cases."

A symbiote god of symbiote gods, Elsa thought. This was going to be a tough one. She glanced around the room, seeing the same unease reflected in the faces of her peers.

Elsa's peers began to lay out the plan. "It's been confirmed that Peter-Knull has found a bride," one of them said, catching Elsa's attention. "Madelyn Pryor."

Elsa's eyes narrowed. She knew of Madelyn, and the revelation made the knot in her stomach tighten. "She's expecting twins," another added, causing Elsa to frown, wondering where this was going.

"One Knull is bad enough, one symbiote is bad enough, but now the public is actually living side by side with his... monsters," another member continued. "Your job is to get Madelyn Pryor to our location. We need to study her condition to find a way to combat Peter-Knull's symbiotic nature. Normal fire and sonic weapons won't work on him. We need an edge."

Elsa's frown deepened. "And you think her unborn children hold the key?"

The senior member nodded. "The young that are growing in her may hold antibodies due to their fusion of mutant and their father's nature. From that, we can create a weapon against him. But we need to act fast. The blood samples have to be taken from her before they're born for maximum effect. By our estimates, we only have a short window to work with."

Elsa's mind raced. She wasn't heartless; she had heard about the good Peter-Knull had done. But this mission was crucial, and the implications were staggering. She had to weigh her loyalty to the Order against the moral complexity of the task.

Elsa looked up from the file, her brow furrowing. "How do you plan on getting her in the first place? She rules a section of Limbo from the Limbo Embassy half the time."

The senior member leaned forward, a calculating look in his eyes. "We've thought of that ahead of time. We recently learned about a demonic operation in Ohio involving three demonic assassins with their sights set on Peter-Knull. That's where you come in. You will assist Nick Fury and Peter-Knull with that operation. While they're preoccupied, we have contacts ready to grab Madelyn on her way to the Limbo Embassy."

Red flags immediately went up for Elsa. "Wait, who are these contacts?"

The senior member's expression didn't waver. "Associates of Mephisto."

Elsa's eyes flicked to the armed guards at the entrance, noting their tightened grips on their weapons. She narrowed her eyes. So, that's how it is, she thought to herself. They wanted a lot more than just a blood sample.

The room fell silent as Elsa processed the implications. She knew the Order could be ruthless, but involving Mephisto and his associates crossed a line. Her moral compass spun wildly as she considered her next move. "And if I refuse?" she asked, testing the waters.

"We have other operatives," the senior member replied coolly. "But make no mistake, Elsa. Failure is not an option. This mission is crucial."

Elsa's mind raced. She needed to think quickly and carefully. "I'll do it," she said finally, her voice steady. "But remember, I'll be watching every step of this operation closely."

The senior member nodded, satisfied. "Good. We'll provide you with all the support you need. Just ensure the mission is a success."

The room seemed to exhale collectively. They had their operative, and the mission was set. Now, it was up to Elsa Bloodstone to navigate the moral and physical dangers of the task ahead.

In Avengers Tower, Nick Fury received crucial intel from Elsa Bloodstone's contacts in the Order about a demonic operation in Ohio. This operation had ties to Peter-Knull, necessitating a joint effort. Fury quickly assembled a team including Nightcrawler, Pixie, Laura, Peter-Knull, and Beast-Shade, one of Peter-Knull's symbiotes known for his muscle and predatory animal features. Elsa Bloodstone would join them, with additional support from Seraphis symbiotes to contain the demonic assassins.

On the Quinjet, Elsa took the back, sitting opposite Beast-Shade, who gazed out the window. She couldn't help but stare at him, fascinated by his appearance. Beast-Shade noticed her gaze and turned to face her.

"Sorry," Elsa said, slightly embarrassed. "I've just never seen a symbiote like you before. I never thought a symbiote could be so... furry, and cat-like?"

Beast-Shade let out a low, rumbling chuckle. "We come in many forms. My appearance can be quite surprising to those unfamiliar with our kind."

Elsa nodded, still captivated by the uniqueness of Beast-Shade. "It's incredible. I guess there's a lot I don't know about symbiotes."

"You'd be surprised," Beast-Shade replied. "We are far more unique than the symbiotes your thinking of. Each of us has unique traits and abilities. It's what makes us strong."

"You'd be surprised," Beast-Shade replied. "We are far more unique than the symbiotes you're thinking of. Each of us has unique traits and abilities. It's what makes us strong."

As the Quinjet soared through the air, since it would take a while to reach their destination, Beast-Shade cracked a joke. "Did I ever tell you about that one symbiote Peter-Knull made when he was bored in his early days? A living symbiotic ecosystem on a star, not just because symbiotes live on him, but an actual star with a big grinning face and symbiotic flames, like in those Saturday morning cartoons. Toon-Shade comes from one of the worlds around it. That particular symbiote solar system is all... cartoonish. His sister is the size of the moon Titan in comparison."

Elsa's jaw dropped. Nightcrawler and Pixie, who hadn't heard that detail before, looked equally astonished. "An actual living symbiotic star?! With a smiling face?!" Pixie exclaimed.

They quickly did the math in their heads, trying to comprehend how much symbiotic matter would make up such a being in equivalent tons. The sheer scale of it was mind-boggling.

Beast-Shade grinned, enjoying their reactions. "Yep, that's the kind of craziness Peter-Knull deals with. There's a lot more to us than meets the eye."

Elsa shook her head in amazement. "I've faced a lot of strange things, but that's something else entirely."

Nightcrawler chuckled. "Just goes to show, we never really know what to expect."

As the Quinjet landed, Elsa stared at the ground for a moment, her thoughts in turmoil. Is Peter-Knull really a monster? Is this really necessary? The more she pondered, the more conflicted she felt about deceiving the team. She still believed the Order was keeping something from her, and she didn't like how they were working with Mephisto's associates in this case. It was eating away at her conscience.

The team disembarked, moving with purpose. Elsa followed, her heart heavy with doubt. She glanced at Peter-Knull, who was coordinating with Nick Fury and the Seraphis symbiotes to set up containment around the old warehouse district. His calm demeanor and meticulous attention to detail made her question the Order's motives even more.

"Ready, Bloodstone?" Peter-Knull asked, his voice steady.

Elsa forced a smile and nodded. "Ready."

They moved into position, preparing to engage the demonic assassins. Despite the mission's urgency, Elsa's mind kept returning to the unsettling feeling that the Order's true intentions were not as noble as they seemed. She had always trusted her instincts, and right now, they were screaming at her to be cautious.

As they approached the warehouse, Beast-Shade, now in his element, took point, his predatory senses on high alert. Elsa took a deep breath, trying to shake off her doubts. She knew she had to stay focused, but the weight of her deception was becoming unbearable.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted from within the warehouse. The team sprang into action, with Nightcrawler teleporting in to get a better view. "We've got company," he called out, his voice tense.

The battle in the warehouse had been brutal, with the destruction telling the tale. Infernal Blight's volcanic eruption had torn through half the structure, leaving molten lava and debris in its wake. Shadeweaver lay restrained, missing an arm after her attempt to drain Beast-Shade's life energy resulted in him ripping her limb off. Soulflayer's head was buried in the concrete floor, his legs sticking up comically in the air, an almost laughable sight if not for the exhaustion weighing on Laura, Pixie, and Elsa Bloodstone.

Shield agents scrambled to extinguish the remaining flames and secure the demonic entities. Amidst the chaos, one of the restrained demons smirked and winked at Peter-Knull, triggering an immediate sense of unease in him. Something was wrong.

Off to the side, a Shield agent quietly approached Nick Fury, revealing they had discovered a phone in the office space. The phone contained contacts linked to Elsa Bloodstone's associates in the Order. Fury's expression shifted from suspicion to realization as he slowly turned to Elsa.

"What aren't you telling us, Elsa?" Fury's voice was firm, a mix of confusion and suspicion.

Elsa felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She had known something was off, but seeing Fury's intense gaze made it clear this was more serious than she had thought. The agents were tightening their grips on their weapons, and she noticed the increased tension in the room.

Elsa hesitated, glancing around at the others. The truth gnawed at her conscience. She had been conflicted from the start, knowing the Order's real intentions might be more sinister than she had been led to believe. She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the decision before her.

Elsa took a deep breath, her heart pounding as she prepared to reveal everything. "I didn't know about the phone," she began, her voice steady but strained. "But I had a feeling they were keeping something from me. They've been pushing me to do things that don't sit right. The Order has been working with Mephisto's associates to abduct Madelyn Pryor."

There was absolute silence in the warehouse, the team's expressions turning from confusion to shock. Peter-Knull's eyes narrowed, a low growl rumbling from his chest.

"They didn't give me any choice in the matter," Elsa continued, her voice trembling. "They believe a blood sample from her can lead to the creation of antibodies that can be used against Peter-Knull. They've most likely already taken her from the Limbo embassy."

Peter-Knull's growl grew louder, his body tensing with rage. Without another word, he lunged out of the warehouse, summoning his symbiote motorcycle. In a flash, he took off at top speed, leaving everyone, including Nick Fury, in stunned silence.

Fury's eyes widened, then narrowed in anger. "This is a serious breach of trust, Elsa. A betrayal of the worst kind."

Elsa nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I should have told you sooner. I didn't know how to handle it."

Laura stepped forward, her claws still out in case Elsa tried anything. "We need to get Madelyn back. Now!"

Fury nodded. "Agreed. Let's move. We need to find her before it's too late."

As they prepared to leave, Nightcrawler teleported to Elsa's side, he stared at her for a moment in disappointment. "You know we must take you in for this Elsa… You've broken several laws with this deception you've been a part of." He said as he held the handcuffs, Elsa could only nod slightly as she wondered how things had spiraled so out of control so fast.

Meanwhile, Nick Fury checked the Limbo Embassy, as did Peter-Knull before him. Madelyn wasn't there, and there were signs of a struggle in her office. They had most likely used a power-dampening collar to restrain her. Peter-Knull was out there driving around on his symbiote bike, searching for her at this very moment. His symbiotes were all searching for any sign of her or the Order, but the Order had gone dark. Nick Fury had put out an alert on Elsa's contacts, issuing their arrest, and he was doing damage control.

Elsewhere in the SHIELD facility, Logan and Laura were guarding Elsa, making sure she didn't try to escape from her cuffs. Logan's eyes narrowed as he asked, "How could you do this, Elsa? She's pregnant, for Christ's sake!"

Elsa looked down, tears streaming down her face. "I didn't know it would go this far. They promised it was just for a blood sample. I didn't know about the rest…"

Laura shook her head, her claws retracting slowly. "You should have trusted us. Now, look where it's gotten you. We're supposed to be a team, and you betrayed us."

Logan's voice softened slightly. "We'll find Madelyn. But Elsa, you've got a lot to answer for."

Elsa could only nod, guilt and regret eating away at her. She knew she had made a terrible mistake, and the consequences were unfolding right before her eyes.

There was a commotion outside, and Logan moved to see what was happening. Nick Fury had just received word that they had restrained one of the members of Elsa's Order. The restrained man was taken to an interrogation room, and Fury, deciding Elsa needed to hear this, allowed her to observe from behind the two-way mirror.

In the interrogation room, Fury confronted the restrained Order member, the atmosphere tense and charged with urgency. "We know you're after Madelyn Pryor's blood. Tell us what else you're planning," Fury demanded.

The Order member sneered, unrepentant. "We're going to drain her dry of all her blood and weaponize it. Genetically alter it to create bullets capable of killing Peter-Knull."

A dawning realization struck Fury and the others present. "All her blood?" Fury repeated, the horror sinking in. "You're planning to kill her and her unborn children."

Logan's fury erupted. He lunged at the man, grabbing him by the collar. "Where is she?!" he growled.

The Order member, still smirking, replied bluntly, "At our headquarters."

Elsa, unable to bear it any longer, burst into the room. "You bastard!" she screamed, punching him in the face. "You all used me! You made me complicit in this atrocity!"

Logan and Laura had to pull her off the Order member, her rage barely contained. She trembled with a mix of guilt and fury, knowing the depth of her betrayal and the grave danger Madelyn was in.

Fury turned to Elsa, his expression stern yet understanding. "We'll fix this, but we need to act fast. Let's find Madelyn and stop this madness."

Elsa, tears streaming down her face, nodded. "That's not my Order anymore," she whispered, grappling with the grief of how far they had fallen.

Fury took a moment to collect his breath, "Do you want to fix this mess?"

She nodded through her tears. "Yes. I… I don't want to be complicit in this, I want to help if I can."

"It's the least I owe Madelyn and the lives I've wronged."

Madelyn Pryor awoke to find herself in a dark space, restrained and with a power-dampening collar around her neck. Struggling against her bonds, she recalled the ambush by demonic guards at the Limbo Embassy before everything went black. Panic surged through her as she realized the gravity of her situation and quickly pieced together what happened.

Nearby, the leaders of the Order observed her struggles with indifferent eyes. One of them stepped forward, addressing her with a cold, detached tone. "There's no use struggling, Madelyn," he said. "Your blood holds the key to stopping Peter-Knull, and we intend to use it."

Madelyn glared at them, defiance burning in her eyes. "Peter-Knull will come for me! You'll all pay for this!" she shouted, but her captors ignored her outburst.

They turned to a scientist meticulously working with vials of her squirming red blood. "How long until you can extract the antibodies in a usable amount?" one of the leaders asked.

The scientist checked his instruments and held up a vial of black liquid. "Already have. We only have three bullets worth, though. We won't know how potent they'll be unless we hit something vital. Also, it most likely won't work on her should it come to that. It will only work on Peter-Knull."

Madelyn continued to curse them, her voice filled with desperation and rage. Suddenly, their radios crackled to life with frantic reports of a firefight outside the perimeter.

"SHIT! IT'S SHIELD! THEY'VE FOUND OUR LOCATION, AND…. IT'S PETER-KNULL!"

The sound of a roar, followed by the tearing of flesh and gunfire, filled the room. Panic spread among the Order members as they realized the gravity of their situation.

Madelyn Pryor continued to curse them, her voice filled with desperation and rage. Suddenly, their radios crackled to life with frantic reports of a firefight outside the perimeter.

"Prepare for a fight!" barked the leader, loading one of the special bullets into a sniper rifle. "Aim for his torso! Let's see how these antibodies react to him."

He motioned for two operatives to stay behind and guard Madelyn. "If they come this way, use her as leverage," he said coldly, making Madelyn glare at them even more fiercely.

Outside, Peter-Knull was like a beast unleashed. Not even Toon-Shade, Beast-Shade, Wild-Claw, or Shell-Shock had seen him this brutal before. The Order had struck a nerve, and now they were facing his wrath.

It was a scene of absolute chaos. Peter-Knull, fully decked out in his black symbiote armor with the moving eyeball on his chest, literally tore a truck in half, charging through it before summoning his symbiote axe. He lunged upwards and smashed it into a nearby old concrete building, causing it to collapse on the men firing at him. Logan, Laura, Rogue, and Gambit were also there, attempting to disarm the Order members without killing them, but it was apparent that Peter-Knull's wrath was unstoppable.

Nightcrawler teleported on top of a building just in time to find a sniper. He managed to disarm the sniper after he fired. Teleporting down, he noticed Logan, Laura, and the others staring in shock at Peter-Knull. His symbiotes were squirming on the ground as if they had the wind knocked out of them, their forms quivering wildly.

"What the-!" Nightcrawler exclaimed, then he saw it. Peter-Knull was clutching his gut, black veins forming on his face as he looked to be in pain. Despite the agony, he took out another member of the Order by throwing a tire at him, staggering as he balanced on his symbiote axe to keep himself from falling.

Nightcrawler's eyes widened with realization. "They hit him with the antibodies!"

Yet, Peter-Knull kept going, even if he was limping, determined to reach the entrance.

As Peter-Knull staggered, clutching his gut, his symbiotes squirming in agony, everyone reacted differently to the unfolding chaos:

Logan growled in anger and worry, his claws extending. "They hit him with something! We need to end this now!"

Laura clenched her fists, her eyes narrowing as she prepared to fight her way through. "We have to get Madelyn out of here!"

Nightcrawler was visibly shaken, teleporting closer to help steady Peter-Knull. "We can't let him fall! Keep pushing forward!"

Meanwhile, at the perimeter, Nick Fury coordinated with his team. When the call came in about Peter-Knull's condition, he cursed under his breath. "Damn it, we need to move fast. Secure the perimeter and prepare for extraction!"

On the bridge of the Helicarrier, Kitsura momentarily had the wind knocked out of her, nearly collapsing. Fury noticed and barked orders through his comms. "Kitsura, what's your status?"

Kitsura steadied herself, her voice strained. "It's Peter-Knull. Whatever hit him, it's affecting us too."

Fury's expression hardened. "We end this now. All teams, converge on the main building and get Madelyn out!"

Inside the area where they were holding Madelyn, the two guards became alert to strange noises emanating from the vents. Suddenly, Elsa Bloodstone burst through, taking down the guards without hesitation. She swiftly moved to free Madelyn from her restraints and worked on removing the power dampening collar around her neck.

Just as Elsa was getting Madelyn out, a gunshot echoed from the hallway, followed by the sound of a struggle. The door crashed open, and Peter-Knull, looking ghastly with black veins and a pallid complexion, struggled to wrestle the revolver away from the Order leader. Peter-Knull was visibly coughing, his strength waning.

Amid the chaos, Elsa snapped. "YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR! HE'S NOT THE MONSTER, YOU ARE!" She pulled out her gun and, with unwavering resolve, fired at the leader. The shot hit its mark, and the leader went slack.

Madelyn rushed to Peter-Knull's side, pulling the leader's body off him and holding him close. Peter-Knull was barely breathing, his skin a murky shade of pale. Tears welled in Elsa's eyes as she whispered, "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."

Shield agents flooded the room, taking in Peter-Knull's dire condition. "Please, help him!" Madelyn pleaded as the medics did what they could for him, but if they were being honest… They have no idea of how his anatomy operates, they have no idea of what their dealing with here.

They quickly called for a med-evac. "Prep the Shield infirmary! We need immediate medical attention!" The urgency in their voices matched the desperation in Madelyn's eyes as they moved to save Peter-Knull.

All the while, Elsa slid down the wall and wept, as she curled up on the floor…. Wondering what would have been different if she had made different choices.

As the Shield agents called for a med-evac, Madelyn clung to Peter-Knull, her desperation clear. Meanwhile, Elsa slid down the wall, curling up in grief, wondering how different things could have been with different choices.

At the Shield Hospital

The medical team faced an unprecedented challenge. Peter-Knull's anatomy was unlike anything they'd encountered. "How do we even begin to help him?" one doctor murmured, echoing the collective concern. His symbiotic physiology was beyond their conventional methods.

Compounding the issue was the condition of his symbiotes. Shell-Shock, Toon-Shade, Wild-Claw, and Beast-Shade, who were closest to Peter-Knull during the attack, were still groaning in pain. Reports indicated that every symbiote, except the Seraphis symbiotes, felt the impact when Peter-Knull was shot. Although his symbiotic universe remained unaffected, it had been a close call.

In the hospital, Dazzler held Toon-Shade's oversized cartoonish hand, trying to offer comfort. Gabriella was next to Wild-Claw, gently holding his clawed paw as he whimpered in pain. Madelyn waited anxiously for any sign of progress in Peter-Knull's condition. Shell-Shock, with his turtle-like form, and Beast-Shade, with his cat-like features, occasionally twitched, indicating their discomfort.

The scene was a mess. The medical staff were at a loss, and the possibility of Peter-Knull's death loomed over them all, a stark reminder of how close they had come to losing him.

Elsewhere…

In the lab, Reed Richards, Iron Man, and other top scientists meticulously analyzed the bullet containing the black liquid antibodies that had attacked Peter-Knull's system.

Reed peered into the microscope, his brow furrowed. "These antibodies are specifically engineered to act as foreign invaders in Peter-Knull's body. They're designed to be highly poisonous to his unique physiology."

Tony Stark, running additional tests, nodded in agreement. "This is more than just a simple poison. It's an artificial symbiote, but with a parasitic nature. It's meant to drain his strength progressively until he can't fight it anymore."

Reed elaborated, "Essentially, these antibodies function like parasites, targeting his symbiotic cells with precision. They latch onto his cells, siphoning off energy and disrupting his natural healing processes."

The team continued their analysis, uncovering the extent of the bullet's engineered design. The antibodies were not only sophisticated but also adapted to Peter-Knull's specific genetic makeup. They were programmed to recognize his unique symbiotic signature, ensuring they would have maximum impact.

"We need to develop a counter-agent, something that can neutralize these antibodies without causing further harm to Peter-Knull," Tony said, his mind already racing with ideas.

"We'll need to act fast." Reed agreed, "The longer these antibodies remain in his system, the more damage they'll do."

Meanwhile in the Operation Room…

The medical team gathered around Peter-Knull, their expressions tense. Madelyn stood by his side, holding his hand to steady him as the doctors prepared for the delicate procedure. The first order of business was to extract the two bullets lodged deep within his symbiotic form.

"Alright, we're going in," the lead doctor said, guiding the extraction tools carefully. As they began, it became clear just how complex and delicate this procedure would be. The deeper they went, the more the surrounding area seemed to liquefy, a chaotic mess of squirming black liquid.

Madelyn squeezed Peter-Knull's hand, her eyes locked onto his, offering silent support. The room was filled with the sounds of labored breathing and the occasional beep of medical equipment. The doctors worked meticulously, inching closer to the first bullet.

"Got it," one of the surgeons finally said, gripping the bullet with a specialized tool. As they began to pull, everyone watched in horrified fascination. Emerging from Peter-Knull's body was not just the bullet, but a four-and-a-half-foot tendril of symbiotic root, writhing as it was extracted.

Gasps echoed through the room. "What the hell?" one of the doctors muttered, unable to hide his shock.

"This... this isn't just an ordinary bullet," another whispered, watching the tendril thrash as if it had a life of its own.

Madelyn's grip on Peter-Knull's hand tightened, her eyes wide with fear and determination. "Stay with me, love," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

The extraction continued, each inch of the tendril a grim reminder to the invasive nature of the antibodies. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the first bullet and its accompanying tendril were fully removed. The doctors quickly moved to stabilize Peter-Knull before beginning the extraction of the second bullet.

"He's strong," one of the doctors said, trying to reassure Madelyn. "We can do this."

Madelyn nodded, her heart pounding. "I know he is. Just... please, hurry."

As they prepared to go in for the second bullet, Madelyn held onto Peter-Knull's hand tighter, bracing herself.

In the Observation room…

Logan, Daken, Laura, Tigra, and Jubilee stood by the observation window, their faces etched with shock and horror as they witnessed the extraction of the first bullet and the symbiotic root. The grotesque sight was both morbid and terrifying, leaving them speechless for a moment.

Logan clenched his fists, his usually stoic demeanor cracking. "Damn antibodies... never seen anything like it," he muttered, a growl rumbling in his chest.

Daken's eyes were wide with a mix of awe and revulsion. "They really did a number on him," he said, shaking his head. "What kind of sick minds come up with something like that?"

Laura, standing next to Logan, couldn't tear her eyes away from the scene. "If it can do that to Peter-Knull... imagine what it could do to anyone else," she whispered, her voice tinged with fear and anger.

Tigra's tail flicked nervously, her feline instincts heightened by the disturbing visuals. "That's just... monstrous. What kind of weaponry is that?"

Jubilee shivered, her usually cheerful demeanor shattered. "Antibodies that can do that? It's like having something worm its way inside you... and then grow." She hugged herself, the thought sending chills down her spine.

The medical team steeled themselves for the extraction of the second bullet, the room thick with tension. Peter-Knull lay still, his breaths shallow as the tools probed deeper into the squirming black liquid within him. The surrounding tissue had liquefied, creating a morbidly chaotic scene.

Madelyn held his hand tightly, whispering words of encouragement. "You're strong. We'll get through this."

The doctors carefully maneuvered their instruments, finally gripping the bullet. As they began to pull it out, the bullet's symbiotic root extended further, much like the first, but this time it had a grotesque addition. The root twitched violently, and a snake-like mouth snapped at one of the doctors, revealing a visible eyeball.

Startled, the doctor dropped the bullet, and it slithered away, launching itself onto the observation window. It screeched and writhed, its centipede-like appendages scratching at the glass. Logan, Laura, Daken, Tigra, and Jubilee recoiled in shock and horror.

Jubilee felt a wave of nausea. "That thing... it looked right at us," she whispered, horrified.

Shield agents rushed in, quickly covering the creature with a bucket and freezing it with a fire extinguisher. The icy blast slowed it down just enough for them to restrain it. The foul creature's screeching echoed in their minds, a chilling reminder of the monstrous nature of the antibodies.

Logan, his fists clenched, couldn't hide his revulsion. "What kind of abomination is that?" he growled, his voice filled with anger at the scientists who created these bullets.

Laura, still staring at the frozen creature, shook her head in disbelief. "Antibodies that can do that... it's beyond monstrous."

Tigra's tail flicked nervously, her feline instincts heightened by the sight. "That's something out of a nightmare," she muttered.

Jubilee, visibly shaken, hugged herself tightly. "I can't believe that was inside him. How do we even fight something like that?"

Daken, his usual bravado shattered, could only say. "By ensuring that it doesn't happen again."

Peter-Knull's wounds began to heal slowly, his body stabilizing over the next few hours. His symbiotes repaired themselves, bringing a sense of relief to those around him. Peter-Knull did not want to endure such an ordeal again.

Toon-Shade and Wild-Claw also made full recoveries, much to the relief of Dazzler and Gabriella, who had stayed by their sides. Beast-Shade and Shell-Shock recovered shortly after, once the parasitic antibodies were purged from Peter-Knull's system.

Nick Fury understood the importance of securing the final bullet. He arranged for it to be heavily guarded 24/7 in the most secure Shield facility available, ensuring no one could misuse it.

By noon, Peter-Knull was already on his feet, ready to leave the hospital. His unique physiology allowed for a faster recovery than normal beings as he prepared to step out, his strength and composure returning swiftly.

For now, though he was glad that the ordeal was over, and that Madelyn and their children were safe.

Elsa Bloodstone stood in the dimly lit room, facing the seven members of her former Order. They were cuffed, their eyes filled with contempt and betrayal as they glared at her. The tension was overwhelming, each side waiting for the other to speak first.

One of them, a burly man with a scar running down his cheek, sneered at Elsa. "Traitor," he spat. "This will never be over. Peter-Knull killed our leader. We will never stop hunting that monster, no matter what it takes. He's shown his true colors now."

After a moment Elsa took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she had to reveal. The weight of her actions pressed down on her, but she knew this moment was necessary. "I was the one who killed our leader, not Peter-Knull," she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.

The room fell silent, the other members staring at her in shock. The burly man's sneer faltered, replaced by confusion and disbelief. "What did you say?" he demanded, his voice shaking slightly.

Elsa held her ground, meeting each of their gazes. "I killed him. He was willing to sacrifice Madelyn Pryor and her unborn children for a misguided vendetta against Peter-Knull. He had to be stopped."

Another member, a woman with dark hair and piercing blue eyes, narrowed her gaze at Elsa. "You've betrayed everything we stood for. You've sided with the enemy."

Elsa shook her head. "No. I sided with what was right. Our leader lost sight of our true purpose. We were supposed to protect the world from supernatural threats, not become the monsters we hunt."

The group's anger simmered, some of them shifting uncomfortably. Elsa continued, her voice gaining strength. "Peter-Knull has proven that he can use his powers for good. He's not the monster you think he is. And now, because of our leader's actions, we've lost our way."

The burly man's face contorted with rage. "You're delusional. He's a Knull. He'll turn on you the first chance he gets."

Elsa met his fury with calm determination. "I don't expect you to understand. But I'm done with this cycle of hatred and revenge. I will make sure Peter-Knull and his family are protected, and I will ensure that the Order returns to its original mission."

As Elsa turned to leave, she glanced back at her former comrades. "You can choose to continue this vendetta, or you can choose to change. The decision is yours."

With that, she exited the room, feeling the weight of her decision but also a sense of resolve. She had made her choice, and now it was up to the others to make theirs.

Later that night at Avengers Tower, Peter-Knull let his symbiotes have the night off in light of recent events. Toon-Shade and Dazzler went to the movies, Wild-Claw and Gabriella went to a fancy restaurant for a date, and Jocasta and Mecha-Spike-1 retreated to their room for the night. In a new development, Salamander, the salamander-like symbiote, and Ms. Marvel aka, Kamala Khan got together, which lightened the mood. Peter-Knull noticed the way Tigra blushed when she and Beast-Shade passed each other and smiled.

Madelyn informed the Limbo Embassy that she would be taking some time to work at Avengers Tower due to recent events and her discomfort with Mephisto's presence. Ghost Rider and Robbie Reyes were contacted to keep an eye out for any activity that led to him, just in case.

Peter-Knull sat on top of Avengers Tower, the city lights twinkling below. Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales sat beside him, the night air cool and quiet. Peter-Knull broke the silence, his voice carrying a weight of old memories.

"The last time I felt this close to death was when I woke up in the void of my reality before fully waking up eons ago," he began, staring into the distance. "It was like being born by dying. Only I was being assembled piece by piece in oblivion. That feeling has haunted me ever since, even if this is the first time since then I've encountered it."

Spider-Gwen tilted her head, her curiosity piqued. "What was it like, being in that void?"

Peter-Knull sighed. "It was... strange. Imagine existing in a place where nothing and everything exists simultaneously. I was aware of myself but also aware of the emptiness that surrounded me. It was a paradox, a liminal space where I was both creator and creation."

Miles nodded slowly, processing the information. "And now, being here, dealing with everything... does it ever get easier?"

Peter-Knull shrugged. "Guess it's nothing to worry about. I've got enough on my plate as it is."

He decided to change the subject, reaching into his symbiotic matter and pulling out three glass bottles containing a thick gel-like liquid. He handed one to each of his friends. "Soda, from an alternate alien world where everything was... retro, to say the least. Also, it was given to me by that alien race's gods for helping them out with their little Knull problem. Drinks worthy of the eldritch gods."

Spider-Gwen took a tentative sip, her eyes widening in surprise. "This is actually really good! What's it made of?"

Peter-Knull chuckled. "They never told me the exact ingredients, but I suspect it involves some form of symbiotic fermentation. The taste is unique, isn't it?"

Miles laughed. "I'll say. It's like nothing I've ever had before."

They drank in silence for a few moments, each lost in their own thoughts. The weight of recent events hung in the air, but for a brief moment, there was a sense of camaraderie, a shared understanding of the battles they faced.

Peter-Knull looked at his friends, feeling a rare sense of peace. "You know, despite everything, I'm glad to be here with you two. Facing the challenges together makes it a little easier to bear. Guess I didn't know what it was like to not be alone after so long." He paused then as if thinking on that.

"It's, pleasant for a change rather than being on the move from universe to universe endlessly."

Spider-Gwen smiled. "We're glad to have you with us, Peter-Knull. You're one of us, no matter where you came from."

Peter-Knull raised his bottle in a silent toast, "I'll drink to that."
