Time Period: Brooke's Flashback

Date: 12-19-2008

Special Event: Lucas and Peyton's annual Christmas Party

Action: Alone, a heavily pregnant Brooke Davis sits at a table observing people having fun. Peyton and Haley cheer her up.

Peyton (takes a seat at Brooke's table): Hello, B. Davis

Brooke (choked up): Hello

Haley (joining Peyton and Brooke): You are pregnant. This should be a happy time for you.

Brooke (emotional): I was raped

Haley (embracing Brooke): I understand

Brooke: I should've stayed home. Nobody wants to be near a pregnant woman.

Millicent (Brooke's driver): I can take you home right now

Brooke (uncertain): I don't know

Peyton: I appreciate your presence. Life would be boring without you.

Brooke (rubbing her stomach): My baby's birth might occur tomorrow

Haley and Peyton: We'll be there

Brooke (doubtful): Sure

Millicent (concerned): You need to rest. You need to save your strength.

Brooke: Millie, I thank you for your concern. As for now, I am fine.

Millicent: Firstborn babies come late so don't worry

Special Event: Lucas and Peyton's Annual Christmas Party

Brooke (shivering, she knocks on the front door): Come on, answer the door

Lucas (walking toward the door): I'm coming

Brooke (startled by Lucas): Lucas

Lucas: I am glad you came to the party

Brooke (moving pass Lucas): I must see Peyton

Peyton (embracing Brooke): Hello, my friend

Brooke (heading toward the buffet): Preparing for the baby has made me hungry

Peyton (shocked and confused): You're pregnant?!

Brooke (eating food): No. I am adopting a baby who is due at anytime.

Peyton: Congratulations

Brooke (a little emotional): My daughter killed herself nine months ago. My adopted son might be born on Christmas. This transition from death to birth has been bittersweet for me.

Peyton (hearing Brooke's cellphone ringing): Your cellphone is ringing

Brooke (leaving the house): I'll be back

Scene: Outside on the front porch

Brooke (answering her cellphone): This is Brooke Davis speaking. Who is this?

The Adoption Agency (on the other line): This is the adoption agency

Brooke: Is there any news about my upcoming adoption?

The agency: The birth mother has decided to keep the baby

Brooke (heartbroken): Why?!

The agency: She feels she can provide for her baby

Brooke (fighting back tears): I understand

The agency: There is still hope for you. A pregnant woman named Mariah is seeking a home for her baby. The baby is due at anytime. Do you want to adopt her baby?

Brooke (with passion and enthusiasm): Yes! I want to adopt Mariah's baby!

The agency: Your contact information will be sent to Mariah

Brooke: Thanks

The agency (hanging up): You are welcome. Goodbye.
