Place: The Scott's House

Action: Weary, Brooke rings the doorbell

Peyton (opening the door): Hello, Brooke

Brooke (walking into the den): I hope that I didn't disturb your beauty sleep

Peyton (concerned): I am never too busy for you, my friend. Lucas and the girls are already fast asleep.

Brooke (choked up): I can't bear sleeping at my house right now. True's death remains fresh inside my mind. I apologize for shutting you out. Tonight is just another one of those nights when I need a friend.

Peyton (makes up a bed on the coach for Brooke): My house is your home

Brooke (preparing for bed): Thanks

Peyton: Tomorrow will be a big and busy day for you. I bet you are excited.

Brooke (fighting back tears): Talking about my daughter's suicide will not be easy. The triathlon will probably test me as well. My goal for creating the True Heart Foundation was to help depressed teenagers. I am committed to this task no matter what.

Peyton: I can attend the session if you want me to

Brooke: Thanks. I would gladly appreciate your support.

(Peyton hugs Brooke goodnight and then heads off to bed herself)

Situation: Suicidal Prevention Counseling Session

Facilitator: Brooke, I am happy you can join us

Brooke (choked up): You are welcome

Facilitator: Please tell us about the True Heart Foundation

Brooke (fighting back tears): OK

Peyton (squeezing Brooke's hand): You got this, B

Brooke: The True Heart Foundation was created in memory of my daughter, True. True committed suicide last month. Low self esteem, epilepsy, and daddy issues

plagued her. Suicide is not the answer whether your problems are big or small.

(One by one, teenagers begin to confide in Brooke. Brooke forms an instant bond with them. She departs from them feeling blessed and comforted. Afterwards, Peyton

helps Brooke prepare for a triathlon. The goal of the triathlon is to honor True and shine a light on suicide prevention.)
