The doctor: True has survived her ordeal, but she will need to stay in the hospital for further evaluation
Brooke: I understand
The doctor (to True): You have been granted a second chance at life
True (somewhat thankful): I am thankful
Brooke: So no more suicidal attempts?

Scene 1: Brooke's bedroom
Action: Brooke and True awake in the same bed. Like many times in the past, they slept together. True's husband (Brandon) and their newborn daughter (Clary) sleep in the guest room.
Brooke (tickling True): Good morning, birthday girl!
True (throwing a pillow at Brooke): I am not an early bird like you
Brooke: You were eager to be born
True: I had no control over that
Brooke (beginning to braid True's hair): I am going to give you a birthday hairdo
True (resisting Brooke): I am not a little girl. I can take care of myself.
Brooke (pouting): You will always be my baby
