Brooke's p.o.v

I should've allowed you to slip or slide away with the bloody tidal waves. By happenstance or on purpose, you joined me on this wild ride. Even now, we almost never made it here. It is not your fault for that certain things came to a sudden hault. Your difficult humbled beginnings prepared you for life's hardest and sweetest lessons. Even now we almost never made it here. Who knew hope would've been born out of an inhumane violent act, rape?

Time Period: A flashback

Date: 12-20-2008

Place: A Hospital Delivery Room

Situation: True's difficult birth

A doctor and nurse (counting as they wait for the baby to crown): 1..2..3..4..5

Brooke (crying, screaming, and pushing really hard): AHA...AHA...AHA..AHA...AHA..

Peyton (holding Brooke): I got you, sweetheart

Brooke (holding Peyton tighter): AHA...AHA...AHA...AHA

Victoria: A difficult childbirth experience, this is what you get for having sex outside marriage.

Brooke (struggling through contractions): I was raped

Victoria: You are cursed. I wouldn't feel sad if you died in childbirth.

Peyton (yelling at Victoria): VICTORIA!

Victoria: I am sorry, no, I am not. It is what it is.

Brooke (worried and exhausted): I am pushing, but the baby is not coming out. Something is wrong.

The doctor (inserting a vacuum deep inside Brooke's lady parts): The baby is breeched or stuck in the birth canal. A vacuum will get it out.

Brooke (emotional): OH GOD! My baby is breeched. Will she be okay?

A nurse: Yes. Your daughter will be okay.

The doctor (reaching for the baby that is breeched or stuck): Brooke, you need to push and work hard against the vacuum.

Brooke (feeling the weight of everything): AHA..AHA..AHA

The Nurse: Breathe, Brooke, Push

Brooke (feeling uncomfortable): Ouch

The doctor (has a vacuum deep inside Brooke): You must work against the vacuum. You must push along with the contractions.

Brooke (pushing along with the contractions): GRR...AHA..AHA..AHA

A nurse (rubbing Brooke's stomach): The contractions are strong and intense

Brooke (sobbing, she begs anyone): OH GOD, I just hate breached babies. Can someone please get this baby out of me?

Obgyn: Brooke, you can always have a cesarean section

Brooke (still determined): No, I refuse to have a cesarean section

Victoria (yelling at Brooke): You could die if you have this baby naturally

Brooke (in between contractions): I don't want you and Peyton to fight over who will be in the delivery room with me. I want both of you to witness the birth.

Peyton (stroking Brooke's hair): I understand

Brooke (struggling through a really bad contraction): AHA..AHA...AHA

Obgyn (assuring Brooke): The baby will see the light at the end of the tunnel if you keep on pushing harder

Brooke (continuing to push): OK, I am working on it

Obgyn (pulling the baby out of Brooke): Bear down, Brooke, push more harder.

Brooke (overcome with pain and pressure, she screams): AHA..AHA..AHA

Obgyn (giving the baby to Brooke to hold): Here is your beautiful daughter, Brooke. She is a little bruised, but she is well.

Brooke (sobbing as she holds the baby): I love you, my precious miracle baby

Peyton (overcome with emotion): True Elizabeth Davis is just so cute. Ted is just as beautiful as her wonderful mother.

Victoria (choked up): I love my granddaughter

A nurse (takes True from Brooke): Your daughter is turning blue. She's not breathing.

Brooke (panicky): Will True survive?

A nurse (places a reassuring hand on Brooke's shoulder): Yes. You can visit True in the NICU after you recover from the birth.

Brooke (somewhat relieved): I understand
